the judgement day had been taking over raw for the last couple of months, and y/n hated it. she never understood how a group of once good people, could make every night hell for the other wrestlers. the dark colors, the random attacks on others, she hated it.

as her eyes scanned the screen in front of her, she watched the judgement day continue to appear on her screen. she watched anxiously as dominik, finn, and damian all attacked sami, kevin, and seth. she shook her head, before getting up, not being able to watch the screen anymore.

tonight y/n had a contender's match against rhea ripley, if she could win the match she would be given a title opportunity against her. she had been working hard weekly to get the chance, and she did not want it to go to waste. y/n placed on her attire, known as someone who was full of light, she obviously made sure her attire would match her personality.

once she was finished, she did her pre-match ritual of listening to her favorite music and stretching, before heading to the gorilla since her match against rhea would take place next. she felt like she was in her zone, until she heard a voice behind her.

"you know, you don't stand a chance tonight." she turned around, facing dominik mysterio, who was linked right next to rhea who let out a laugh. dominik was someone she had met briefly, as they started training at the same time, until he had began to turn against everybody, and never spoke to her once he had joined the judgement day.

"am i supposed to be scared that rhea has you attached to her hip at all times? regardless of anything you say against me, i'm not afraid of anyone, especially neither of you." y/n said confidently, as she heard her music hit.

the match between rhea and y/n had taken the show to the next level, with the fans hype and them both taking hits back and fourth. dom made sure to try and distract y/n as much as possible during the match, but even with his efforts, she would manage to find a way to fight back against rhea. the match came to an end with dom being ejected from the ring. once rhea had saw him being thrown out, y/n took the time to use rhea's distraction against her, and hit her finisher on her from behind, stealing the win. with the crowd roaring, and y/n finally getting her opportunity, she headed backstage.

once y/n reached the backstage area, she was greeted with many wrestlers congratulating her. she thanked everyone, before heading back to her locker room to take a quick shower, before heading to the hotel. once she finished showering, she heard her phone buzz, and looked to see a message from liv morgan, one her closest friends.

liv: "congrats on the win! we're all celebrating you tonight at the club, be there! you have no choice! meet me in my room when you're ready, and we'll uber there together. xo, ily <3"

y/n didn't plan on going out, but she knew that if she didn't show up she'd hear about this for a while. so, she grabbed all of her things, and got into her rental car to get herself to her room so she could change and do her makeup for the night.

once she arrived to her hotel room she instantly started playing her getting ready playlist, something that always got her hyped up. she wanted to take a longer shower, since she only did a rinse off after her match, and who knew maybe she'd get lucky tonight. she finished her hair and makeup, and found that she would find perfect timing to put her outfit on. she was always known for wearing a good mini skirt, and crop top, paired with heels when going out, so she kept it simple and decided to go with that.

once she was ready, she texted liv that she would be on her way to her room soon, and took the time to add a layer of lip gloss on, before heading over. once she got there, she knocked on liv's door, and smiled once she opened it. "you look so hot! who are you impressing tonight?" liv said, jokingly, as she let y/n in. "you never know!" y/n replied, laughing, as she sat down on a chair. "you are definitely getting laid tonight looking like that. i made the uber, it should be here in three minutes." liv explained, as she finished putting on her shoes.

once the pair arrived to the club, they saw a good majority of the wrestlers who were on the show prior. liv and y/n split up, as liv found raquel and got tranced into their conversation about their title win. while liv was busy, y/n took the time to go over to the bar and order a drink. she sat down at the bar, ordering a signature vodka cranberry, and waited patiently, scrolling through her phone.

"surprised to see you here." she heard, as she felt a presence next to her. she looked to her side and saw dominik mysterio sitting himself down next to her. she scoffed, as received her drink, taking a sip of it. "why wouldn't i be here?" she questioned him, as she continued to sip on her drink. "you don't seem like the type. plus, if it wasn't for that stupid ass referee throwing me out tonight, you wouldn't be over here celebrating anything."

y/n rolled her eyes, before responding, "first of all, i didn't need any help beating rhea tonight. regardless of if you got kicked out or not, i had that match won. nothing distracts me. second of all, why are you even talking to me, shouldn't you be with your mami? or is she still recovering from her loss?" y/n said, smiling. dom shook his head, and looked her up and down, taking in her outfit. regardless of if he hated how happy she always was, she looked gorgeous every time he saw her. though, he would never admit it.

y/n looked over when she noticed him looking at her. "what are you staring at?" she asked curiously, before finishing her drink. "clearly you." he responded, harshly. "why are you even still here? we're not friends. i'm not friends with people who attack others for literally no reason." y/n said, as she started to get annoyed. "no reason? these people deserve it. you know, you act like you're such a sweet person all the time, but deep down, i know you aren't as good as you try to present yourself. and this skirt that you're wearing, tells me that i'm right." he said, smirking.

y/n scoffed, "you know nothing about me." she said in response. "tell me then, am i wrong? is it wrong of me to know that deep down, i know that you've got dark side? you hide behind all of these bright colors and smiles, but you're hiding something. you and i both know, you're far from innocent." he added.

y/n knew that he was right, she definitely did have a side that wasn't so innocent, but would never admit that to him. "even if i did, you would never find out." she said, confidently, as she looked at him. she eyed his outfit, noticing the all black outfit he was wearing. as much as she hated to admit it, as much as he had changed, he looked good as hell with the new way that he presented himself.

"aw, you know it's rude to stare, baby. you can keep denying it, but i know you want this as bad as i do." he smirked, as he drank. y/n let out a gasp she didn't know she was holding in, as she looked away from him. he was right, she did want him, but she didn't want him to gain the satisfaction being right. "how many times do i have to tell you, you don't know anything about me." y/n repeated. "let me learn then," dom replied, as he placed his hand onto her leg, slowly running it up to her thigh. The turn out of Liv’s match wasn’t what you were hoping for, you knew how badly she and Raquel wanted to win— but sometimes things don’t always work out. Hurrying as quickly as your legs would allow, you push open the door to the locker room with one goal in mind. Find Liv.

“This is bullshit.”

You utter without breaking eye contact with the Aussie, making your way to the bar without even checking to see if your new companion followed. You weren’t one to thrive on jealousy but there was something about seeing the anger boil under Rhea’s skin that tantalized you. Stopping mere inches from Rhea’s bar stool, your turn your back to her and await the arrival of the man who’s name you didn’t even know. You’re playing with fire your subconscious teased, the sound of the bar stool shifting behind you breaking your thoughts. You didn't react how a lot of people did despite the shock you still supported him leaving him letters in his bag while the four were in the ring, texting him with reminders that not only was he still human and deserved to be his own person but that he deserved to be happy no matter what and you were proud of him which truly melted his heart, and see him whenever you could without being kept away by the other three judgement day members but also not being judged by anyone else in the locker room especially rey who was still very upset but now angry at what dom did, he slowly realized through the actions on your part and especially one day when he was off and the two of you spent the day out together that the feelings that he bottled up and held back for you were much stronger and in a very different way than he had thought for the past three and a half years ever since meeting each other backstage at 12 years old. He finally decided while in the locker room before his match against The Miz that he was going to tell you everything even if he had to do it in the ring in front of everyone he would as long as you finally knew, he feels his heart quiver seeing you hid behind a corner on the ramp watching his match quickly finishing the match with a pin winning and as soon as he was backstage he goes to the showers alone while the other three just relaxed in the locker room as Rhea gets ready for her match, he walks outside a back door finding the stood up crates with pillows on them knowing it was a habit you had ever since you had met each other and smiling big when he sees you walking towards the spot stopping when you see him quickly putting the food and drinks you had down and hug him making jokes while eating like the two of you had done before while his dad and your uncle were training together or having matches "I think over this past while i've realized just how beautiful you are". You look at him shaking your head as you chew on gum after coming back from the bathroom plus making sure no one is following you, you immediately go quiet when he lightly caresses the scar over your brow that you had gotten the previous year while the two of you were in a tag team match against Liv Morgan and AJ Styles when aj had hit you with a broken sharp point from a chair earning the win right after for you and dom who carried you backstage and held you in his arms as you got patched up and stitches groaning and crying quietly in pain, you smile for a few seconds at the memory as he leans closer to you jumping a little when you feel his nose bump yours and his forehead against your temple "I've loved you with all my heart since I was a kid but I was so afraid of doing what I did because I knew not only would I lose my family but I was terrified of losing you" you look at him feeling your heart crack and drop at the swell of emotions in his voice and the words he had just said out in the open "I would never just leave you because you decided to change your life for the better and not when I love you too much to leave you alone" as soon as the words were said and he sees the tears pour down your face he closes the gap slowly by kissing you softly which leaves you absolutely stunned inside but you return the kiss sweetly leading him lifting you over the crate to his lap holding your face tightly but gently as well before pulling away with the biggest smiles laughing in chest as he holds you with a airy chuckle "Te amo dulce niño" he bursts into laughter that truly makes you melt as he strokes your hair "I I love you Mariposa" the two of you hold each other in the silence falling asleep against the wall on the crate in his arms being found by Damian who instead of waking the two of you up in anger or telling Finn and rhea shakes his head with a smirk taking pictures of the two of you and whispering as he walks away "You sly dog cabron".

AJ Lee defeats Tiffany Stratton. In the first ever match for Atomic, legendary wrestler AJ Lee faced off against newcomer Tiffany Stratton. The two ladies had a fairly back and forth match and at times it was unpredictable about who would win. Ultimately, Tiffany landed her set-up move for her moonsault but AJ would get her knees up, preventing the execution and this would lead AJ to lock in the Black Widow and tap out the self-proclaimed Buff Barbie.

Liv Morgan defeats Julia Hart to become number one contender to the Invasion Women's Championship. The second match of the night was a number one contenders match for the Invasion women's championship as Liv Morgan faced off against Julia Hart. The two ladies fought for a grueling ten minutes but Liv's expertise was no match for Julia and although Julia gave as best as she could, it wasn't long before Liv got the upper hand and managed to hit Julia with the Oblivion, a move that Julia was unable to kick out of.

Maxxine Dupri defeats Kristal Marshall & Saraya to become the first ever Invasion Women's World Champion. In what was considered an incredible women's match, it was Maxxine who was crowned the first ever Invasion Women's Champion. The match was fast paced and very close, almost too close to call. All three ladies gave it everything they got, there was a record amount of near falls but it was ultimately Maxxine who scored the win and gained the championship after hitting the Spinning Heel Kick on Kristal to pick up the victory.

AJ Styles defeats Cody Rhodes, Adam Page & Dominik Mysterio to become the first ever Invasion World Heavyweight Champion. The main event of the night was one for the ages, the crowd were absolutely on fire for the Fatal Four Way to determine the first ever Invasion World Heavyweight Championship. The match went a staggering 56 minutes in which time all men gave it everything they had and it was AJ Styles who managed to pick up the victory after landing the Styles Clash on Dominik Mysterio as Cody Rhodes and Adam Page would take their brawling to the outside, just missing out the chance to break up the pin.

Royal Rumble 2023 Predictions

Asterisk: I don’t really watch the shows anymore, really only the clips on Youtube and some of the premium live events. But I really enjoy the Rumble event, so here’s my best predictions to what’s going to happen.

Bianca Belair [C] vs. Alexa Bliss - Predicted Winner: Bianca Belair WWE has a problem with too many unbeatable champions right now. Bianca is absolutely retaining until Wrestlemania, and probably even longer. Also, I don’t really get or like the Uncle Howdy stuff, and I have criticism of the recent creative direction where everybody seems to be going back to the gimmick where they were most over.

Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight - Predicted Winner: LA Knight For years, I have not been a big fan of Bray Wyatt’s “say something spooky and cryptic for four weeks and then lose the feud” booking. I also don’t even really get why Brey is the face in this feud. I think, based on all this Uncle Howdy nonsense, he should win this match, but I also can’t get over the idea that he always loses.

Roman Reigns [C] vs. Kevin Owens - Predicted Winner: Roman Reigns The Bloodline was getting stale for me, but I really like the recent change of starting to turn Sami and Jey face while leaving the others as heels. They’re obviously going to get involved in this match, because they always interfere in Roman’s matches. Roman will retain both titles until Wrestlemania, and possibly even retaining one of them afterwards.

Women’s Royal Rumble - Top 3 picks: Liv Morgan, Asuka, Ronda Rousey If Charlotte hadn’t won the title, I think she would have been the clear favorite to win. I don’t think there are a lot of viable winners, and this match clearly doesn’t have the heat that Roman brings to the men’s match. I don’t think Rhea wins this year, because she can easily make her own way to Bianca. Becky is also a possible winner, but she needs to face someone different than the current champions. The winner will likely challenge Charlotte I think. Other predictions that I’d like to see - Wendy Choo cameo from NXT, Aliyah return from injury, Mandy Rose return

Men’s Royal Rumble - Top 3 picks: Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Austin Theory I think there’s more to explain in who I didn’t pick. I don’t think Sami Zayn is going to win. This version of him is just not a main event player across from Roman. I also don’t think Cody Rhodes will win after having wrestled only a couple matches in WWE and having been injured for so long. However, if Seth wins, I think they might do a “multiple winners” controversy so that he and Cody both win and can challenge for one title each (Cody for the historical legacy of the WWE title, Seth for the more prestigious Universal title). Kevin was my pick before he got the championship match, and I think he’s still likely to win from entry #30 depending on just how many Bloodline shenanigans occur earlier in the night. And I just like Austin Theory, if he doesn’t win the Rumble, give him a match against John Cena. Other predictions that I’d like to see - Kofi doesn’t do any nonsense spots, Tyler Breeze return, Enzo Amore return

What a time to be a wrestling fan!

It's the biggest non-Wrestlamania wrestling weekend of the year, with 3 major shows and a ton of intrigue surrounding the main events of at least 2 of those shoes. As such I thought I might do a little preview for all three shows, attempting to predict what's going to happen in every match in as economical a fashion as I can.

I'll preview these events in chronological order and the matches on each card in the order they were listed on Wikipedia. Full disclosure, I think that Clash at the Castle had already got underway before I started transcribing these predictions (that I recorded on my mobile phone as I was out and about on Friday) into this blog.

WWE Clash at the Castle

Bailey, Dakota Kai & Io Sky vs. Bianca Belair, Asuka & Alexa Bliss

The heels need to go over here. It could have gone the other way had Sky and Kai won the Women's Tag Team Titles on RAW, but they didn't and this group still doesn't have a big win to hang their hats on. Belair hasn't taken an L since Extreme Rules 2021 as far as I'm aware, and she didn't take the pin in that match, so she can be on the losing side here,. Asuka or Bliss can take the pin. One of those two should also turn heel (I'm getting soon-to-be-heel vibes from Asuka right now) once they've distanced themselves a little from this programme.

Sheamus vs. Gunther

A Sheamus W wouldn't be the worst, but Gunther is the right call. Conventional logic suggests that either Sheamus or Drew needs to win in order to truly satisfy fans in attendance. Sheamus deserves something for the effort he has put into elevating middle material for who knows how long, but Gunther needs another big scalp. A W for Gunther does more for him and the IC Title than it does for Sheamus. Craft stories, not just moments. Even a quick hot shotting of the belt onto Sheamus and then back to Gunther would damage the effort that has been put into restoring the perceived prestige that has been built over the past couple of months.

The Judgement Day vs. Edge & Rey Mysterio

Finn Balor and Damien Priest should get the W because this stable is only now, FINALLY starting to get some momentum. They lost their last high-profile match - Edge over Priest in Toronto - so they come out on top here. Dominic costing Edge the victory ahead of an eventual full heel turn on his old man is a good way to go about this. The Dom tun feels both inevitable and hopeless, so you may as well roll the dice at this stage. You can't read water forever. It's sink or swim time, Dom.

Shayna Baszler vs. Liv Morgan

This one sucks either way. Liv wins clean and you're immediately undercutting Shayna's recent positive character development. Liv wins dirty and she looses the fans. Shayna wins clean and you've given up on Liv entirely, for now. Shayna wins dirty and both women look a little weaker or stupider but the story suffers. The best way to go is to rip off the band-aid as quickly as possible. Liv is young, give her a little break from the main event and rebuild her over the next 6-8 months. Just don't fumble at the goal line this time. This could be the last chance for a Shayna monster heel run and a big time feud with Ronda Rousey while they're both hot. Shayna wins, clean.

Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins

Give this one to Seth. His last win at a major show was the DQ win over Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble in January and yet he hasn't lost any heat. Watching that one recently, the way it played out didn't put him over as much as I remember. The man is pretty much Teflon. You need to keep him at the top of the card because he is just that good. He can slide into the main event picture for a PLE or 3 when you need him to, or help elevate the tier below. This should be a luxury for WWE but feels more like a necessity at this point. Riddle can take an L here, particularly given this rivalry will likely continue into Extreme Rules.

Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns

Roman has to win. Sorry, Wales (Scotland?). Roman's Title reign has to end in a way that makes someone new, not someone who has been hovering around the mid-card for almost 2 years, pinch-hitting in the main event. Drew deserves another reign at some point, just not now. The build over the last month or so has papered over the fact that there was almost no build at all up until then. The U.K. crowd will get over the "disappointing" end to the show. There are more fans out there than the ones in attendance and more fans will engage if the story is told properly. Besides, WWE aren't in Wales every week, they have more than enough time to reheat the crowd to ensure they sell out their next major event in that part of the world.

NXT World's Collide

Ricochet vs. Carmelo Hayes

Theoretically, this should be a banger. It's a strange use of Ricochet given the mini push he's had on Smackdown recently, but maybe that was more about the 2nd downfall of Happy Corbin? An L for either man isn't a great look. Hayes is brilliant but isn't quite ready for a move to the main roster; what would he do there? Ricochet can get his heat back on Smackdown with another W or 2, or by hanging out with Pat McAfee some more. Ricochet endorsing Carmello post-match could be on the cards.

Pretty Deadly vs. Gallus vs. Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs vs. The Creed Brothers

Least enticing match of the entire weekend? Although there is that mixed tag on All Out. NXT might want Gallus to win here, so as to put The Creeds back in that chasing position. A better option is to keep the Creeds as the top dogs in the division. Throw a new challenge their way every week and when the time comes, make a new team by knocking them off. Schism are next on the dance card, right? This division is pretty weak right now.

Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Doudrop & Nikki A.S.H

The main roster team should lose and then revert to their actual names before being given a better showing on RAW or Smackdown. Chance and Carter are fine here. Their promo saying how they had beaten all challengers on NXT lacked credulity but also spoke to the lack of thought put into this division. They're going to face Toxic Attraction once again after this. NXT need to build up some new teams while that feud plays out.

Blair Davenport vs. Meiko Satomura vs. Mandy Rose

Mandy is main roster-bound, surely. All three of Toxic Attraction will probably be on RAW or Smackdown by the end of the year. If Meiko is also headed in that direction then Davenport wins by default. It's not a bad outcome; there are plenty of good challengers lining up. Mandy should get a one-on-one rematch before she leaves. If Meiko is sticking around in non-developmental developmental, put the belts on her and let her do her thing for the next year or until she decides to hang up the boots really.

Tyler Bate vs. Bron Breakker

Bron wins. He is much further away from being main roster ready than most people realise. Also, he's going to look small when he gets there so will need to add some more interesting aspects to his character first. The incoming NXT UK talent should give him a handful more options to feud with over the next 6-8 months. Also, Apollo Crewes and Giovanni Vinci. Not sure where Tyler Bate goes after this. His character is interesting but doesn't scream "future face of the industry". Bate would make a good opponent for Carmelo Hayes, JD McDonagh or Tony D (conspicuous by his absence on this card), or an interesting foil for Grayson Waller. The NXT pecking order is hard to gauge.

AEW All Out

Tomohiro Ishii vs. Eddie Kingston

The brief history/hype package on Rampage was really good. Great match. Eddie wins.

Kip Sabian vs. Pac

A loss on return isn't a great look for Sabian but it's too early fo a title change. The match should be good. Hopefully it is competitive and both.

Angelo Parker vs. Hook

A really fun squash. Hook wins, obviously.

Tay Melo & Sami Guevara vs. Ruby Soho & Ortiz

Why? Intergender Titles are silly and not good silly. It's great that the talent gets a PPV payday but do we really need 15 matches on a single night show?

Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho

It's pro wrestling blasphemy but I generally really like rather than love Danielson matches. Jericho matches have over delivered in 2022, Eddie Kingston and barbed wire aside. This one will be better than solid but has a ceiling. Danielson gets the win and moves back in the World Title picture. I'll explain further in a later prediction but AEW has made it really difficult for themselves with regards to that picture. It will be interesting to see how the Daniel Garcia piece of the puzzle fits here. He should side with Jericho for now, tease out the face turn a little longer. Jericho vs. Garcia at Full Gear?

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. vs. Hakaru Shida vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Toni Storm

I like this match. It's a bit of a no can't lose situation and a chance at a soft reset of the AEW Women's division, which has been a bit of a disaster, to be honest. Baker is a safe choice and is an all-around excellent performer. Shida is great and it would be fun if she swept in and won the (interim) Title after the other 3 and Thunder Rosa have spent so much time feuding amongst themselves in recent months. Toni Storm is slowly building a potential face-of-the-company type skillset. Hayter is the most interesting choice and the direction they should go. She'd be the least stale opponent for the returning Rosa. She should win that unification bout too.

House of Black vs. Miro, Darby Allin & Sting

Malakai Black and co. can't just keep losing and still be considered a threat to anyone. Sting can lose and still be Sting. Allin can cop a loss without losing too much heat. Miro shouldn't lose right now, but what can you do? Buddy Matthews will probably end up taking the pin and the feud will continue as HOB feuds tend to do. The match will be fantastic but I want more for everyone involved.

Athena vs. Jade Cargill

Cargill's run has been approximately 70% of what it could have been given some more competent booking. The lack of a compelling feud has been the main issue. This Athena programme threatened being that feud for "that bitch", but alas. Cargill should retain until (a) they build up the right succesor and (b) they know what she is going to do next.

Jungle Boy vs. Christian Cage

Or is it Jack Perry vs. Christian Cage? This hasn't landed as it should have despite solid work from all involved. The Luchasaurus stuff has been strange. If they think they can get more from the programme and want another go at getting Jungle Boy proper over they should extend the feud. Maybe have the big dinosaur man turn on Jungle Jack for real? Otherwise, put Jack Perry over and get him into a programme with another established heel. Jericho vs. Jungle Boys anyone?

Jay Lethal & The Motor Coty Machine Guns vs. Wardlow & FTR

The good guys obviously go over here. MCMG should probably turn on Jay and friends post-match. It's a shame they lost faith in Satnam Singh, or lost faith in Wardlow's ability to powerbomb Singh, because that was the hook for this match. The FTR and MCMG exchanges will be the highlight but I'm not sure where everyone goes after this. It's a shame MJF ruined the conclusion of Wardlow's last extended programme, but please give the big man something to sink his teeth into.

Casino Ladder Match

We've seen almost every combination of these performers in either singles or tag team action over the past 3 months, so it's difficult to get excited about yet another ladder match. It will be fun, no doubt, and the joker gimmick always holds some intrigue. It will probably be W.Morrisey and he will be the odds on favourite to win. Dante Martin getting a W because he's taken more than his share of Ls recently would be a plesant surprise. Whoever wins isn't winning the title.

The Acclaimed vs. Swerve In Our Glory

One of if not the weakest AEW Tag Team Title PPV matches ever. I feel bad for all 4 men; the booking of this division has become an afterthought. Swerve and Lee to win. Not enthused about whatever angle develops on the back of this.

Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

I'm getting The Rock vs. Ken Shamrock circa 1998 vibes about this feud. Hobbs to win this match and potentially the feud but Ricky to be the breakout star. Starks looked strong on Rampage dispatching the entire Factory with ease. Hobbs is a beast and so much fun to watch. The feud should continue because there isn't enough space up the card for either man at the moment.

The Elite vs. Hangman Page & The Dark Order

The Elite are brilliant. Hangman is eternally endearing. The Dark Order are fun. Kenny and The Young Bucks will and it will be a great match. The Hangman interactions with Omega and Matt Jackson will be hot. The Elite melodrama will continue after this, which will be interesting because the Trios Titles will still need to be defended. Who will challenge for those belts? Do they get their own rankings? DO rankings still matter? Surely Adam Cole will be involved somehow, though he no longer has a team with him.

CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley

The first match was so unnecessary. You could have gotten to the exact same spot, with the exact same story beats without that match. now, if Moxley wins the Punk, arguably the biggest draw in the company, is ruined for the foreseeable future. If Punk wins clean then Moxley's first win means nothing. Also, it recontextualises all Mox's recent promos as the nonsense talk of a blowhard. Moxley won't cheat to win, so the best bet is to have Punk cheat or take shortcuts. Basically, Punk needs to turn heel. That's a tougher sell than it would be if the event weren't Chicago, but Mox and Punk can make it work. An MJF appearance is likely, in what capacity remains to be seen. MJF as a face doesn't really work long-term.

Finally, contemplating the immediate future of the AEW World Title picture, do they build Bryan Danielson vs. CM Punk for Full Gear? Danielson really needs to win the title on his next attempt, but that would make for another short AEW World Title reign; another reason they shouldn't have done the first Mox vs. Punk match.

The general reaction to this year's Money in the Bank winners seems to be that Liv Morgan finally got the big push she deserves while Austin Theory is getting a huge push he doesn't deserve. Either way, the assumption is that winning Money in the Bank--or cashing in the contract to win a championship--is a big turning point in a wrestler's career. I'm not so sure.

Liv won the contract ans successfully executed it for a title win the same night. Nikki ASH did the same thing last year, more or less, and is now a total afterthought. The MITB wins for Asuka, Bayley, and Alexa Bliss were basically lateral moves for them. Bayley certainly reached another level in 2019, but that had much more to do with her heel turn and character reinvention, months after cashing in MITB. Of all the women to win MITB, Carmella probably got the most out of it, but looking at where Carmella is today I wouldn't say that push had a lasting impact.

It's the same issue with the men's contract. A lot of big names have won the men's MITB match or cashed in the briefcase. But many (Brock Lesnar, Sheamus, Randy Orton, John Cena, Kane) were already on top or past their peak. Others (Otis, Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, Damien Sandow, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Mr. Kennedy) didn't get much out of it, even if they won a title. I think Big E, the Miz, and Rob Van Dam benefited from their first MITB-assisted title wins, but within a year each of them was back at their original level. Dean Ambrose, CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan all broke through to the tippy-top after winning MITB, but not really because of MITB. The only guy who undeniably used MITB to truly break through to the top and stay there is Edge, way back in 2005-2006.

The fantasy of Money in the Bank is that the person who wins the contract will use it to do an end run around bad booking, win the world title, and become a top star with a long dynasty in the main event scene. That happened with Edge. Since then...people hope it will happen, and WWE acts like it can happen...but it really doesn't.

This is not to say that either Liv or Theory is going to crash and burn. They could both do well, and end up better off than before. But there's no reason to think Liv will automatically reach that Becky/Charlotte level, or that Theory is on course to be the next Roman Reigns, or even the next Drew McIntyre. If either of them ever really does reach the top of the mountain, odds are that MITB probably won't be the catalyst; it'll just be an interesting little side quest along the way.

WWE Money in the Bank 2022 - Quickfire Review

So it's that time of the year again, Ladder Climbing Season

One of WWE's Big 5 PPVs (I'm not calling it that premium live event shtick) is in the books, so let's see how it went!

Spoilers for the PPV

Kick Off

A congrats to Rosenburg for getting engaged

WWE are definitely trying to keep Cody in people's minds, but honestly 'peak of my career'? This is the dude who was ROH and NWA world champion

Of course they talked up Logan Paul as well. I mean, I get it he's an influencer, but it's only short term stuff. Paul can be a good wrestler, but he has to make sure he doesn't make the same mistakes as Ronda Rousey has, and that includes believing he can be a babyface

One Whole Hour of Kick-off and 0 Matches, absolute bull

Main Card

Even as a heel Becky gets that pop, dunno what the headset was but the green and gold was great, she almost looked like a Psycho Ranger

Liv getting a pop close to Becky, Alexa and Asuka was great

Is Raquel's gimmick that she has a back?

I remember that MITB and I can tell you that pop from the crowd was not for Alexa, people were heartbroken that Becky got slighted again

Camera cuts really need to simmer

0 Love for Lacey

Shotzi has had a bit of messy match which is a shame

There has been some really nasty landings in this match

Happy to see Liv win, her rebounding back from the ladder was a clever spot, and Becky freaking out makes sense because she's 3 for 3 for being the last woman kicked off the ladder. The match was scrappy, but decent.

Not a good day for accuracy between the WMITB and Theory overshooting his dive

The match got better the more it went in, it started as a pseudo-squash, threatened to get boring with Theory using rest holds but finished strong

Did Carmella raid Charlotte's feather closet?

Match was fine as it was, nobody thought Carmella had a chance but they didn't squash her and they didn't overstay their welcome, Carmella's post-match should've been a sneaky misdirect but didn't quite land

That Lily credit card ad thing was abysmal...

Burgundy was nice on the Profits

See unifying the Tag Titles was a good idea on paper, but WWE's delivery has been poor given the complete lack of depth in the tag division, by no fault of the wrestlers

Ford also can easily be a great singles competitor

This tag match is sponsored by smacking people in the mouth

Great final third, but now what? The Usos don't really have any more babyface teams to face again for like another month

Oh the raised shoulder, so this will continue the feud

Bray? Or is that just Spooky Edge?

WWE do NFTs? Yeah I'm not surprised

That was a mild pop for Ronda, but at least props for the pride colours

Sharpshooter is devastating to the back, Pat

This match is sponsored by calling each other 'Bitch'

I've often criticized Ronda's inexperience and lack of charisma, but this is the best I've seen her look in a long time. The Shawn Michaels pose during the Sharpshooter was a smart spot

The match was decent, like Belair nobody gave Nattie a chance, but at the least it didn't overstay its welcome, mainly operating in Ronda's wheelhouse

Morgan cashing in though was the bigger pop. I dislike though that they had her immediately get caught into the ankle lock, Ronda was perfectly set up for an Oblivion, should've been that then pin rather than a rollup

But still, very glad to see Liv FINALLY get gold, I fear it won't last long because well...Ronda...and it's mostly a babyface version of Bliss' cash in at 2018, but still, Liv finally gets the W

Urgh, Ronda doing the Hogan at Mania 4, just let Liv have her moment!

This is a surprisingly tame abomination that Seth is wearing

Pretty dumb of Shamu not to use his fighter boys to have an edge in this match

Okay but why? It makes 0 sense

Sami hiding behind the turnbuckle post was great

Pat this ladder has held the Big Show and Mark Henry I think it'd be fine

JEEZ that recoil

Ladder Floating Bro was a great spot

Missed chance to have Omos erupt from the pile of ladders like Godzilla

There's Butch, finally realising wrestling maths

I hate the finish in layers. For one it completely renders the whole qualifying process redundant (they even had a mobile raffle thing which had fans ask who would win MITB hours before announcing Theory in the match, meaning tons of fans wasted their money), for second it's just 2019 when Brock won the MITB, for third 3 of these guys shouldn't have really been in the match: Theory for obvious reasons, Drew because he has Clash at the Castle and Riddle because he lost a title match which bans him from challenging Reigns again and for fourth, because it's Vince McMahon's fingerprints all over this, the man's 'stepping down' is completely meaningless in terms of booking

I know Theory is considered one for the future, despite losing at mania to Pat which does make all these veteran wrestlers look like losers, and he may do really well with the briefcase, but he doesn't resonate with me at all and to finish the PPV like that was quite underwhelming. Which is a shame because the match was good, and I really REALLY wanted Sami to be given his dues, there was story in him being the MITB winner

Conclusion

Overall this was a fine PPV. It had some twists, some good but not all, and everyone worked hard. I can't say it's my favourite piece of wrestling I've seen this week though, such is the risk with WWE's newfound PPV approach of attempting to overdeliver on weak builds. It at least sets up for more, but you can't help feeling that there could have been more.

Its Hell In A Cell 2022.

1st match is Becky Lynch vs Auska vs Bianca Belair triple threat match for the Raw womens title. Crowd hot from the start. Neither woman looked out of place and all 3 looked great here getting in thier spots. Becky really knows how to heel it up as always she went for many pin fall attempts and certainly controlled the action throughout this match she left it all out there. Auska outside the ring but she breaks up the pin fall and then Becky and Auska fight. Bianca now in on the action she goes for the KOD but Auska interrupts so Becky lands on her feet Bianca then hits a suplex. Bianca then tries to use her hair against Becky but Auska is here again to break it up. Bianca then goes for a super plex from the top rope but one more time here is Auska. Auska tries to pin both women but to no avail so she applies a ankle lock on both women they both escape. Auska gets taken out so it's down to Becky and Bianca, Belair goes for the hair whip but Becky turns this into the diss arm her. Bianca then goes for the KOD but Becky grabs the ropes, Auska is back in it as Becky hit the man handle slam Auska breaks up the pin fall. Now Becky and Auska fight again. Belair back in,Becky tries to pin her but once again the pin is broken up by Auska. Bianca gets sent out the ring but not for long as she tries to hit the KOD on the ring apron but gets knocked off. Auska and Becky trade pin fall attempts ,Auska then hooks in the Auska lock but here comes Belair. Man handle slam on Auska from Lynch she then goes for the pin but Belair throws Becky out the ring, pins Auska and has retained.

Next match is Bobby Lashley vs Omos and MVP in a handicap match. Please let this be the end. Omos is surely big but very slow in the ring,he beats down Lashley and sells nothing,he then tags in MVP for a little while. Omos back in Lashley goes for a suplex but Omos beats him down again. MVP tagged back in and hits a big boot to Bobby in the corner, Lashley out the ring and Omos sends him crashing through the barricade he just barely breaks the 10 count. MVP stays on Bobby, Bobby with a spear to MVP,the cover but Omos breaks it up he goes for the big drop but Cedric Alexander is here and distracts the big man. Lashley then grabs MVP,hooks in the hurt lock,taps him out and wins.

Next match is Kevin Owens vs Ezekiel. Yes we know its Elias anyway Ezekiel tried to end it early here with a big right and flying elbow from the top rope but Owens kicks out. Action spills outside the ring but right back in as Kevin has took over beating down his opponent we even saw a moonsault from Owens from the 2nd rope but to no avail. Owens is obsessed that Ezekiel is indeed Elias. Zeke did fight back and gets back into this. A spine buster from Zeke but Owens kicks out and hits a power bomb of his own which Ezekiel kicks out of. A roll up Owens kicks out this time,Ezekiel goes to the top rope but Kevin knocks him off,hits a cannon ball and then a stunner. The pin and the victory for Kevin Owens.

On with the next match The Judgement Day vs AJ Styles, Finn Balor and Liv Morgan. The biggest question here is will Finn join Judgement Day? A brawl between all 6 start the match. Liv and Rhea take each other on after it they go at it Rhea hitting some power moves here it looks like her joining Judgement Day has paid off. Styles and Priest tag in,Styles with an impressive drop kick but apart from that Damien beats him down. Balor and Edge now tagged in Edge just whooped Finn. Priest now back in and takes it to Balor until he tags Edge in again. Balor and Priest go back and forth as Balor is back in the action and tags in Styles who does take it right to the Hall Of Famer. A phenomenal forearm to Edge but Damien yanks Styles off of Edge. Now Liv and Rhea back in for a little bit Liv hits an impressive DDT on Rhea. Balor and Priest tagged back in,Finn goes for Coupe De Gras but Rhea shakes him off the top rope. Another phenomenal foreman but this one was to Damien. Edge back in and goes for the spear but Finn rolls him up,Finn to the top rope again to go for him finisher but Rhea stands in front of him,Balor goes for Coupe De Gras again but Edge moves out the way,Edge hits a spear,goes for the cover and The Judgement Day are the winners.

Fantasy Booking WrestleMania 39 & the 4/3/23 Monday Night RAW

Before we get to Part II of how I’d book the Fall of the Bloodline, I thought it’d be appropriate to touch over on how my version of WrestleMania 39 and the post-Mania Raw would go down like, since I only briefly mentioned the main event. It won’t be a complete wholesale change of the two nights, but the changes made will hopefully make sense.

A lot of the changes will be more evident on the post-Mania RAW, which notoriously got a 0.63 rating on Cagematch and was plagued by being changed wholesale by Vince McMahon. Again, my version of things

Night 1

- John Cena def. Austin Theory to win the US Championship: this result would set up something for Cena on the post-WM Raw (which I’ll discuss later) and push Theory into accepting the open challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship that I mentioned in Part I of the Fall of the Bloodline booking.

- Street Profits def. Viking Raiders, Alpha Academy, & Ricochet/Braun Strowman: basically plays out the same as it did in real life.

- Seth F. Rollins def. Logan Paul: ditto with this match, though Seth gets the win after he does the tree of woe Stomp.

- Damage CTRL def. Becky Lynch, Lita, & Trish Stratus: The heels win here largely due to Becky accidentally hitting Trish, leading to her getting pinned. No heel turn from Trish just yet.

- We get a backstage segment with the Usos and Paul Heyman. Jimmy and Jey want to take care of the Sami & KO “problem” on their own and refuse to let Heyman or Solo Sikoa accompany them for a match.

- Dominik Mysterio def. Rey Mysterio: I love the idea of Dom winning this match, just so he can have something to brag about over his dad. Some cheating and interference from Damian Priest is how that happens. Then, after the match, Dom & Priest look to continue beating down Rey, but Bad Bunny steps in to stop the attack. 

- Rhea Ripley def. Charlotte Flair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship: the actual match was one of my favorites of the weekend so it just pretty much stays as-is, untouched in the fantasy booking.

- Pat McAfee def. The Miz short and sweet. No changes.

- Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens def. The Usos to become the Undisputed Tag Team Champions: Again, this plays out the same way as it did in real life.

Night 2

- Brock Lesnar def. Omos: Remains the same.

- Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez win the Women’s Tag Team Showcase: Liv ends up getting the win after she counters an attempted Ronda Rousey armbar into a surprise crucifix pin.

- Backstage, Roman Reigns & Paul Heyman are with Solo Sikoa, having tasked him to accompany his Tribal Chief for the main event later. It’s briefly mentioned that the Usos haven’t arrived at the arena yet in the wake of their loss last night.

- Gunther def. Sheamus & Drew McIntyre to retain Intercontinental Championship: Another of my favorite matches in the actual WrestleMania 39, so you can’t really change things.

- Bianca Belair def. Asuka to retain Raw Women’s Championship: I was strongly tempted to change the result here, but the story about the young contortionist from Bianca’s entrance having lost her mother the day before would make things seem like bad optics if Bianca lost. That said, I’d still have Bianca win here, but in a way to help set up a rematch. She never hits the K.O.D. successfully on Asuka, and the win comes after Bianca reverses the Asuka Lock into a pinfall win.

- Instead of the whole Miz/Snoop Dogg/Shane McMahon fiasco. We instead get LA Knight appearing and talking about how he’s mad that WWE would dare have an LA WrestleMania without LA Knight. Bobby Lashley shows up and we get an impromptu match that Lashley wins.

- Finn Balor def. Edge in Hell in a Cell: It’s hard to book around an injury that happens during the match -- in this case, Finn Balor suffering a rather painful injury after a wrongly-placed ladder shot in the real match. That said, the finish here would see Damian Priest sneak in the cell as one of the “medics” as he helps Finn get the big victory.

- Cody Rhodes def. Roman Reigns: I went into great detail about how this match goes down in Part I of the Fall of the Bloodline booking, which you can read here.

RAW after WrestleMania (April 3rd)

Hour One

- The show opens with Triple H’s address, announcing that the WWE Draft will be coming next month. He then introduces the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Cody Rhodes. The new champ cuts a promo about how he finished the story and how he wants to proudly represent WWE as its new top champion. That’s why he’s holding an open challenge tonight to see if anyone can beat him. It’s answered by Austin Theory and that’s your main event.

- Match 1: Asuka vs. Mia Yim: Just a fun opener match to re-establish Asuka as a threat after her Mania loss. She wins, but it’s not the end of her night yet...

- In the Bloodline’s locker room, we see Paul Heyman talking to the Usos and Solo Sikoa. This is where we first hear Roman Reigns has gone on a bit of a sabbatical and has essentially left Heyman in “charge”. Heyman says that while the weekend for the Bloodline was a nightmare, the Tribal Chief isn’t angry about it. He tells the Usos and Solo that they just need to take care of some things real soon.

- Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens bask in the celebrations of the RAW after Mania crowd cheering them on after their big championship win. Chad Gable & Otis interrupt, which Sami & KO see as a sign that they want a fight, so we get ourselves a match...

- Match 2: Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. Alpha Academy: Sami & KO get the victory in a great 10 minute match, as this and Asuka/Mia Yim take advantage of hour one of RAW being commercial free. During the match, we see the Usos watching from the crowd, clearly not done with Sami & KO just yet...

Hour Two

- New U.S. Champion John Cena enters the ring and discusses how he taught Austin Theory a little bit of respect at WrestleMania and that he’s ready to take on all comers as the U.S. Champ. Enter Bron Breakker, who accepts Cena’s challenge. It should be noted that Bron is showing some heel tendencies here, which will continue on NXT the next night, when he attacks Carmelo Hayes. As for Raw...

- Match 3: Bron Breakker def. John Cena to win the U.S. Championship: I know what you’re thinking. A sudden title change seems too abrupt, but newly-turned Bron taking the U.S. Title with a dominant showing, then parlaying that into continuing his feud with Carmelo Hayes before graduating to the main roster proper would make for fun stuff.

- Match 4: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez vs. Carmella & Chelsea Green: the first of four women’s tag team contenders qualifiers. Liv & Raquel win, setting up a match with the winner of one of the other two women’s tag matches on SmackDown.

- Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair addresses the crowd about her hard fought title retention at WrestleMania. She says she’s ready for a new challenge, but that’s when Asuka catches her by surprise and sprays her with the green mist! It’s clear that Asuka is far from done w/ Bianca and this leads to a rematch for the Raw Women’s Title at Backlash.

- Becky Lynch and Lita are being interviewed backstage as they try to brush over the little miscommunication between Becky and Trish Stratus at WrestleMania. They talk about how they’re ready to face whoever wins the women’s tag team contender’s tournament, as Trish just walks off without saying a word.

- Match 5: Damage CTRL vs. Shotzi & Natalya: The second of the four women’s tag team contenders matches. Dakota & IYO Sky win this one.

Hour Three

- Seth Rollins is out in the ring to celebrate his win over Logan Paul. He talks about how he’s the best wrestler there is and that Logan Paul now knows how it feels to be on the business end of a Stomp. That’s when he’s interrupted by Grayson Waller from NXT. Waller takes exceptions to Seth’s bragging and notes that Logan Paul was a personal friend of his. We get a tense staredown, but Waller backs off, stating that he’ll fight Rollins on his time. Seth ends the segment by getting the fans to serenade Waller with his favorite song in the entire world. Waller leaves in a huff, plugging his ears to drown out the fans singing Seth’s theme.

- Match 6: Damien Priest vs. Rey Mysterio: Rey wins with a 619, but after the match, Dominik Mysterio gets into Bad Bunny’s face at ringside, sparking an altercation. Judgment Day get the upperhand, as Priest chokeslams Bad Bunny through the announce table.

- It’s announced after this that at Backlash, Dominik & Priest will fight Rey Mysterio & Bad Bunny in a special tag team match.

- The whole Bobby Lashley/Bronson Reed/Mustafa Ali segment happens here, which leads us to...

- Match 7: Bobby Lashley vs. Mustafa Ali: Lashley wins this match, obviously. But after the match, Bronson Reed blindsides Lashley and beats him down for a bit before Lashley fights back. Bronson manages to avoid a Spear and cooly backs up the ramp, simply laughing and clearly not thinking much of his new foe.

- The Miz complains about how his weekend turned out at WrestleMania. He’s sick of the surprises, and that’s when he’s interrupted by a returning Randy Orton. He flattens Miz with an RKO. 

- Main Event: Cody Rhodes def. Austin Theory to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Standard TV main event with Theory looking to make a name for himself after the biggest loss of his career at Mania night 1. Goes about 15-20 minutes (plus commercial break) w/ Cody retaining via Cross Rhodes. RAW concludes with Cody celebrating, as we can see Solo Sikoa watching the match backstage, flanked by Paul Heyman.

Conclusion

And that’s basically my version of WrestleMania 39 and the RAW After Mania to set up how things go down in the Fall of the Bloodline. Part II of that fantasy booking will be coming soon.

A Slept-On Review: WWE Smackdown 10/21/22

Shaemus vs Solo Sakai

An impressive start. The Bloodline and Solo especially could easily run over anyone and call that a storyline. Instead, they are letting Shaemus and the Brawling Brutes get airtime and show that they are in fact skilled fighters. Sheamus kicks out multiple times, and even lands a White Noise with an injured shoulder. It’s even implied that if he had not tried to get revenge for the Usos burying the Brutes under the announce table, he may not have lost. I also like how even though they aren't in a full feud, they can put on a convincing fight. I prefer my storylines not to be in a vacuum. 

Bray Wyatt Backstage 

I need to talk to the audio manager because the music was way too loud. I could not hear his first few sentences properly. However, I could hear the gravel in his voice, which was enough to at least keep trying. In short, he expresses that he is ready and willing to cause pain.

"I'm just a servant now. I go where the circle takes me."

A servant to who exactly? I’m guessing the masked man, who many have penned Mr. Howdy. I really hope that’s not his name, but it had been copyrighted, so it’s someone’s name. We also have a QR code later in the night which leads to a psychology report for Bray, implying psychopathic/antisocial tendencies. So, I’m guessing we’re either going for a psychopath/D.I.D. angle with the Wyatt 6. I’m wary that they can do that right, based on previous angles (Eugene and AJ Lee, for example) dealing with mental health conditions, but for now, I’m going to put my faith in HHH to do this right. 

Other Backstage Segments 

Imperium and Rey meet up and decide to set up a match between Rey and Ludwig for later that night. It’s not a terrible way to set something up, but not what I expected 

We get a glimpse of the Bloodline, sans Roman, with Sami wisely advising the Usos to “not engage Logan Paul”, which is simply the best life advice anyone can give.

Ronda is backstage, and establishes herself as a full heel. The fans do not like her, despite her “talent”, so she will no longer try to please them. A great heel motivation, if she did in fact have championship-level skill. She establishes an open challenge for the title next week “when (she) wants”.

Drew McIntyre is interviewed and reveals that he is challenging Karrion Kross to a Steel Cage Match at Crown Jewel for the first match on that card I’m actually excited for. 

Lastly, LDF y la Reina! Zelina looks straight out of Queen of the Damned, and that’s frankly all that needs to be paid attention to. They establish themselves as a threat, specifically, as they continue to go after Hit Row. 

Liv Morgan vs Sonya Deville

This seemed like a match set up almost exclusively to ease Liv more into her “losing her mind” angle. She goes ballistic with slaps to the point where she’s able to knock Sonya to the ground. The fight spills out of the ring and ends rather quickly with a double count-out. Here, I think she’s making it clear that it's not about winning anymore. She’s just angry and wants to use that to hit people. Her ring gear is even reminiscent of Suicide Squad Harley Quinn for added effect. She even continues after the match to Superplex Sonya onto a set of chairs. Mixed with Bray’s promo from earlier in the night, I’m believing that she will be a member of his stable even more. She’s already showing the exact same motivations and spirit. 

Braun Strowman Promo

Braun calls out Omos to challenge him but is met with MVP. MVP still accepts the challenge, which felt unnecessary. Yes, Omos is supposed to be this literal “larger than everyone” force, but I still don’t see why he needs someone to speak for him. 

Damage CTRL vs Raquel Rodriquez and Shotzi 

Shotzi is still getting better! The Sin Cara curse is lifting! Dakota sold like a champ and could’ve convinced me she was knocked unconscious by one of Shotzi’s bumps. Later in the match, Iyo flips Raquel on her head with a DDT from the top rope which was physically painful to watch in the best way. As tag team matches like to do, all participants end up fighting, and Raquel drops Dakota on a pin, breaking it up. It was a cool idea, but not the best execution. Dakota seemed confused for just a little too long on what she was supposed to be doing, rather than the landing itself breaking the pin, which I think would have looked much smoother. Iyo hits a Moonsault to end it. Commentary, seemingly unintentionally, gives Damage CTRL the perfect catchphrase: “...might be illegal, but the ref didn't see it”.

Ludwig vs Rey Mysterio

I had to rewatch this match because shortly before we got ANOTHER QR CODE (which I mentioned earlier) and that took all my focus into decoding. Ludwig immediately puts Rey in a headlock, but quickly moves into interchanging offense. There are multiple pin attempts and Eddie Guerrero references, popping the crowd. I feel the references are sweet and meaningful, but I’m getting a little less affected by them when Rey is pulling them out in every match recently. 

Logan Paul Promo 

Logan Paul shows up and I, once again, do not care. He talks about how brave and great he is for a little while, and Jey appears to beat the shit out of him. At this point, I began to care, if for no other reason than to watch Logan get jumped. Logan is able to land a punch on Jey, immediately knocking him out. Commentary described it as “lucky”, but I would describe it as “bad”.

You find her next to rey's dressing room as you follow the boys ready to tell her how you felt as well "Hey you can I pull you aside?" she nods as the two of you go into an abandoned locker room locking the door and pulling the blinds down as you take a deep breath "My smile huh?" you giggle as you smile at her seeing her face blush and her eyes slightly widen as you grab her face stopping two inches away allowing her a chance to say stop or move you away but instead she places her hands on your lower back and closes the gap left between the two of you into a tender kiss that leaves you both breathless and dazed when you pull away to look at each other "Tu sonrisa me hace feliz bebita" you smile despite not knowing what she said as you hold each other agreeing to head out to dinner that next night as the two of you walk out of the locker room hand in hand only to see your friends across the corner. They cheer and whistle as the two of you laugh hiding your face in her shoulder as she affectionately and jokingly flips them off before you are both pulled into a giant hug, you cheer and hug zelina after she wins her match against Bayley and after celebrating with your friends the two of you leave and have dinner together leading to another lunch date and later on a park date before the two of you announced your relationship to everyone who were thrilled and happy that now the two of you were together.
