the day i finally get up the nerve to start publishing my To This Point I Stand verse it's over for you all. It's about Laertes/Osric in a world where Hamlet never returned to Denmark and is presumed lost at sea (ros and guil are still alive). Laertes viciously shoves people away and goes on long aimless walks in the middle of the night just to keep himself from sleeping, and gets drunk and starts fights, and when he's too keyed up and anxious to go back to his empty house and its ghosts, he crashes at Osric's apartment and eventually gets his own key. Both of them have dated Hamlet in the past and Osric was best friends with Ophelia, so they're both broken up pretty bad, and they eventually help each other feel and act like complete humans, and slowly realize they're in love.
