Summary: The Reader is the goddess of life, meaning you can control what lives and what dies when you want to, people have seen you on rare occasions just for a few seconds, they know you are close by when they spot a dark horse near them, but what happens when you meet Levi?

Levi would often sit at his desk looking out his window towards the hills and sunset. That’s what he was doing right now, overlooking the sunset but what did catch his attention was a girl sitting beneath a tree, the girl had soft delicate looking hair freely dancing with the breeze accompanied with a small golden tiara with small leaves at the sides perching upwards, your gown was simple, white speckled with gold crystals and gems that trailed your feet as you walked. Levi rubbed his eyes thinking it was his mind playing tricks but when he opened them again you were still there, smiling off to the sunset before a jet black horse galloped over to you, you stood up and began to softly pet the creature. Levi shot up grabbing his jacket and darted out of the base in hopes to catch whoever this mysterious stranger was but when he reached the tree you could not be found, neither could the horse. It was like you both weren’t there in the first place.

The next day Levi was out 3D Gear training with the 104th squad in the forest, he was by himself when his wire snapped making him hurdle towards the ground. When he was seconds before hitting it a mysterious black horse appeared catching him on it’s back. ‘’What the fuck!?’’ Levi exclaimed before looking down to his repaired gear, his eyes went wide as he looked around quickly to see where the horse came from but he couldn’t come up with a solution until a burst of melodic laughter filled the air. ‘’Oh my sweet Levi! Your face! You poor thing are you okay? I got my companion to catch you’’ You laughed to yourself standing next to a tree before walking over to him and helping him off. ‘’You were from my dream... From last night..’’ Levi couldn’t understand how you existed or why you protected him out of all people but he was grateful to say the least. ‘’I’m keeping you alive ‘cause I like you, mister you’re interesting’’ You smiled at him.

Over a few months you and Levi had bonded, he agreed to this since you were protecting his life and he had to figure out some way to repay you. Over those few months of secretly meeting up outside of HQ and in his dreams, you have gotten so close Levi thought it was time to step it up because of his new feelings he had for you.

On the endless amount of times, the dark-colored horse appeared saving him, even in front of others like Erwin and Hanji. On a few occasions, it managed to save Levi then rescue other endangered soldiers from titans. The horse has then been nicknamed ‘Mercy’ because whenever soldiers were at the brink of death, it was like life was giving them mercy by sending a savior. The church has noticed this mysterious horse and began to think it was the gods Maria, Rose, and Sina sending down some sort saint to protect them so they began to pray and praise the creature as well.

You had even been sly enough to appear in Levi’s office when he was doing paperwork, sitting in front of him twiddling your thumbs smiling at him. Your sudden appearance made him jump out of fright ‘’Oh my! Levi I am truly sorry! I didn’t mean to frighten you I swear!’’ You cried out ‘’God dammit woman don’t do it again will you?’’ Levi frowned before looking over his paperwork. ‘’I’m sorry..’’ you muttered causing him to reach across the desk and kiss you right then and there ‘’never apologize Y/N, I didn’t mean to lash out’’ Levi apologized before continuing again with his paperwork.

A few hours after he finished his paperwork the both of you were settled on the hill talking until you perked up ‘’Want to see a cool trick?’’ You offered causing Levi to smile warmly ‘’sure Y/N’’ You nodded before blue mist emitted from the palm of your hand, you swirled your hand in the air watching as the mist sparkled in the sunlight and followed your hand. ‘’I only learned to make mist last night, I can’t do anything cool with it right now because I don’t know how’’ You informed him, Levi nodded ‘’it’s impressive Y/N’’ He smirked.

You quickly disappeared before she saw you but Levi did, or so, he thought he saw you for a split second but you were gone before he knew it. After a few months of Petra’s death, everything was back to normal. You and Levi brought it to the next level talking about you making him into a god to live forever with you. Alexis had felt that inner bell ring, that one that said an immortal was nearby. However, Alexis could discern the differences between each bell and could recognize them immediately when she came across them. Her brother’s was the one she knew best thanks to their close proximity to each other. He was a wonderful big brother who had always looked out for her.

Alexander had supported her when no one else did and even went head to head with their grandfather for her. He had been the only person who had accepted her choice to adopt Iris and become a mom before she had even finished high school. He had been by her side and helped her care for the young fairy child all this time.

Iris’s mother had been Alexis’s best friend. It had been allowed because Lily had been someone who would live as long as she would. At least that had been what everyone had thought at the time. Lily had been older than her and a few years ago she had fallen madly in love with a human. A human she had told her secret to. She was planning on marrying the human because she was pregnant with their child.

Lily, aside from her brother, was her only friend so Alexis kept her secret. There was a special bond between Lily and Alexis. They could always tell when the other was in danger. It was only a month after Lily gave birth to Iris that her husband had gone out drinking with his friends after such a long time. He and his young wife were married now for seven months.

After awhile Lily’s husband became so intoxicated that he ended up bragging to his friends and telling them everything. Especially that his wife was a fairy. He was a chef so she brought luck to his business since he was known for growing all the vegetables that he cooked. It was due to the fact that his young wife was actually a garden fairy that brought life and abundance to his garden.

Jealous of their friend’s fortune they decided to follow him home and abduct this fairy so they could sell her for money. When they found out that they had a half fairy daughter well they wanted to have her as well. However fairies are fierce when it comes to their young and even after being beaten with iron pipes Lily used the last of her strength and her magic to transform herself into an unbreakable cocoon and wrapped herself around their daughter.

Alexis had arrived too late and Lily’s husband thinking he had become the death of both his wife and daughter had gotten beat to death himself attempting to avenge them. When the attacker’s hear small Iris’s cries from inside her mother’s cocoon they worked diligently to crack it open. Alexis stood before Lily’s dead husband for a long moment before his attackers noticed her.

Her face had been dry but her soul was screaming in agony. With her practice sword in hand she used it against the men who finally decided they didn’t want any witnesses. Even a high school girl couldn’t survive this incident. However she was not just some high school girl. She was an immortal who could take any damage inflicted on her and redirect it back at her attackers rendering them useless.

Bruised, bloodied, and beaten she rendered each of her attackers unconscious before approaching the cocoon. Gently she placed her hand on the cocoon and spoke to Lily. When the cocoon cracked and revealed the unharmed golden haired infant within, Alexis heard Lily whisper her final wish. She wished that Alexis would raise Iris as her own and never to let her know the sadness of not being loved.

With Iris in her arms Alexis left the scene and called it in. Luckily for her Erwin got the case since it was a homicide and some facts could be left out. Like how Lily transformed into a cocoon. They just wrote it up that she was missing and presumed dead. Since Alexander spoke in favor of Alexis keeping Iris as her own daughter their grandfather agreed and had taken care of the legal papers himself.

Alexis would always be grateful to her big brother for that faith and kindness. She wanted him to be happy so she would always do her best to facilitate his love life. Since she felt him arrive she shooed Ria out of the brainstorming session and kept Udup all to herself. Not only because she wanted too but because she knew he’d get in the way of Ria’s love.

She loves Udup dearly and Ria is the only person worthy of her brother. Alexis has extremely high standards when it came to potential love interests of her big brother. All the girls who had tried being with him when he was in high school and college had all been run off by Alexis herself. It was also because he never showed any true interest in any of the girls that had chased after him.

Ria was the first person to ever gain her brother’s attention and keep it. She could see how much Ria filled Alexander’s heart it was obvious since he was planting a garden with his own bare hands and creating a portrait of her. He had been at it for weeks. He had finally gotten all the planning just right and was now half way done with the garden.

After a bit of brainstorming and a bit of affection from Udup the two of them headed back out of the break room after Alexis had changed back out of the costume. She had a concept list for the theme for Zander that he could use as inspiration for the special menu. There they ran into Alexander as he was picking up his order of coffee.

Alexis as always greeted him warmly while Udup was as frosty as ever. She really wished he would give in and not bother Ria’s love and constantly block her brother from getting closer to her. She frowned and pouted at Udup for a moment before turning back to Alexander. They spoke for a moment before he had to rush off to work.

Apparently he would be working close by with Levi and some of the others like Eren, Hanji, Connie, and probably Erwin too. She was curious as to why he said it as if it wasn’t sure but had still ordered coffee for Eren, Levi, Hanji, Connie, and himself. She chuckled softly to herself. He was probably playing probability games with himself again. He rarely ever lost though.

“Here Zander look this over and come up with something within two weeks. The decorations will be cast aluminum instead of cast iron so Iris won’t get sick and also since it will have the same look with a lighter weight in case something happens like an accident. We don’t want anyone getting hurt.”

She told him with a smile handing him a list across the counters before Udup grabbed her hand led her towards the flower shop. She didn’t mind at all and willingly followed him until he stopped suddenly causing her to bump into his back.

“Udup? Is everything alright?” She asked with concern.

Alexis could only quietly look at him when he suddenly turned to face her and held her gaze without saying anything for a long moment. She was even more concerned when a troubled look crossed over his face before he leaned down and nuzzled his face into hers. She wasn’t wearing heels at the moment so he had to bend a bit which always made him cute to her like a big teddy bear.

Smiling warmly she nodded her acceptance of meeting this important person to him. He said she was family. In fact the moment he brought up her name the young woman began jumping up and down behind him looking at Alexis over his shoulder and introducing herself. She was a bit surprised but she held it well and greeted the young woman with a smile when she finally came around Udup instead of jumping behind him.

A cute blush settled over Alexis’s cheeks when the young woman called her Udup’s moon. If she was the moon than Iris was the sun just like her mother before her. Polar opposites but drawn together in a fierce inexplicable way that neither could define but cherished deeply. She would always keep her promise to Lily.

Smiling she couldn’t help but be reminded of Lily when meeting Luna. Their personalities were so much alike. It was almost as if Lily was standing before her once more. She came back to her senses at the mention of her brother’s name then quickly replayed the conversation in her mind before responding.

“Empress?” She asked curiously not sure of who Luna was meaning but by the look on Ria’s face that meant it was her.

What shocked Alexis the most was when Udup looked her in the eye and spoke a blatant lie while silencing Luna’s objection. Udup had never lied to her before which caused her to be silent for a moment after he spoke she was shocked. However, she trusted Udup. He had never lied to her before and if he was lying now then he must have a good reason.

He was asking her to ignore Luna calling Ria Empress and it was their secret. She wouldn’t pry. Nodding with an understanding smile she returned his gaze with trust because she had faith that he would trust her with the secret when he was ready.

“I see. I am Alexis Von Drehle and Alexander is my older brother.” She said smiling at Luna and offering a deep respectful bow as was her family custom when greeting people for the first time.

Alexis had to hide behind Udup at Luna’s next words and Ria’s actions. Not only had she turned scarlet but she couldn’t help the laughter trembling on her lips making her whole body tremble as she held it back and buried her face in Udup’s back away from his sister’s gaze. She was quite aware of Ria’s love for her brother but with him being a massive gentleman and Ria being really shy the two of them weren’t getting anywhere.

Finally after a long moment she finally sobered up when Udup turned towards her and took her hand in his. She met his gaze openly and without hesitation. She usually shielded her mind from everyone except Alexander but Udup was the only exception. He could touch her mind whenever he wanted. She was fully open to him alone.

“I do... She reminds me of an old friend.” She said with a smile softened with a touch of sadness. If he happened to see what she was thinking about was simply a flash of a golden haired, blue eyed beauty with the happiest smile directed at Alexis herself. “I look forward to working with her.”

She cheerfully wrapped her arms around Udup and gave him a hug before Iris came rushing in and jumping up into Ria’s arms.

“Unnie! That bad big brother in there is hurting all the flowers and making them cry!”

She shouted pointed towards the shop floor which was just through the entry they were standing next to. Alexis started off first because there was no way in hell she was going to sit idle while some punk traumatized her kid. She caught the bat of one kid who was about to break another window with one hand and held it firmly causing him to turn around and look.

“I’m going to give you punks one chance to get the hell out of here and never come back.” She said coldly as she used the bat to shove the kid over to where his friends had just gathered up.

There was three of them, one seemed to be the ring leader which was where the other little weasel scurried off join up with the second she had caught the bat. Alexis was in no mood to deal with a long drawn out teach them a lesson kind of deal. They scared her kid and made flowers cry. Probably throes of death screams which her kid was gladly taking as crying.

“If you want us to leave and never come back then I guess you guys should just sell the property. Then we wouldn’t need to come back again, and again, and again...” The cocky little punk in the middle said moving closer to her with an attitude that kind of reminded her of Levi but then again Levi had morals and didn’t ever involve kids.

“This property is never getting sold and won’t be coming back here after today. Otherwise I won’t put you in jail. I’ll put you in a body bag.” She whispered in his ear since he had gotten close and up in her face. She was taller than him even without heels.

He didn’t like that threat as he called her a crazy bitch and failed to hit her when she used his own attack against him. She enjoyed making people hit themselves. It was oddly satisfying. Parry. Parry. Counter. She wasn’t a black belt for nothing. She could have been on the Olympic if she had wanted to not that she had.

Seeing their boss getting his ass handed to him by a girl his friends decided to try and join in to help him. Not only were they not touching her she was pushing them out the front doors of the flower shop. These punks had done quite a bit of damage in the short time the shop had been vacant.

Lucifer Rivaille was the highest rated cop in his precinct, with the highest arrest and conviction rate. This was only his second year on the job straight out of the military. He had been Corporal in the Marines before leaving service. He had always wanted to be a cop so he only joined for the mandatory time.

He was the second son but he was only the second youngest out of five. He had three older siblings and one younger. His oldest sibling was his older brother Levi, then his big sister Leah followed by his big sister Isabel, then him, and finally their youngest sister Ignis. As was with tradition amongst the siblings the youngest was always the most spoiled because of the older siblings.

Levi is a prosecutor who lives on his own. Leah is a journalist who writes the stories her sister Isabel reports on the news, the two of them live in a large house with Lucifer. The three of them together work to look after their youngest sister Ignis who convinced their parents to let her live in Korea with them. Their parents had been wanting alone time for awhile so they readily agreed and went on a sixth honeymoon.

Leah and Izzy were passed out drunk on top of each other in the living room, Lucifer didn’t hear his alarm go off and got woke up and hour late to the doorbell ringing. Iggy was passed out in bed because she slept like the dead and was not a morning person. What. So. Ever. In fact she was usually the last person awake in the morning.

“What?!” He barked gruffly at the now cowering delivery boy who held up a package with his name on it and a signature pad. With a click of his tongue he snatched them both, scribbled his name then shoved the pad back into his trembling hands before slamming the door in his face.

Growling Lucifer glared at the package that had to come at six thirty in the morning. Well it was a blessing anyways since he still had to make breakfast and get Iggy ready for school since it was her first day he had to drop her off and fill out some paperwork. Lee and Izzy wouldn’t be any help at all. He’d have to make breakfast, lunch and hangover soup before he could even begin to get the females in his house up.

Rubbing his face he groaned and then smacking his cheeks woke himself up and got to work. He didn’t even have time to take a shower yet. This day was not going well. He tossed the package on the side table in the entrance way forgetting it for the moment to get the day started. When everything was halfway finished he began the routine of rousing his big sisters first getting them sent off to the shower so that the food would be done and waiting when they were.

Then once all the food was finished served he went about waking up Iggy. She should be going through the change soon. Like himself, Izzy, and Levi... Then again she could be a late bloomer like their mom and Leah too. He thought to himself. He was extremely worried about that since he so did not want to be responsible for that period of change in her life.

Puberty was one thing but the Dragon’s Changing Season was an altogether different situation. He’d pick puberty over the change any day. Shaking her small shoulder he called out to her trying to rouse her from her sleep of the dead.

“Iggy! Come on Iggy! Wake up! Today is your first day of school. You can’t be late so you have to get up, take a shower, get dressed, and come to breakfast. I made you all you’re favorites. I even made you lunch.... Come one get up...”

He said as he shook her until she finally sat up. Lucifer was Iggy’s idol so for him she would get up quickly. However though she was up she wasn’t fully awake yet so Lucifer ushered her into her bathroom with her new school uniform so she could shower and get dressed. She was getting to go to a local public school that was in Lucifer’s neighborhood.

Finally after a forty-five minutes of rushing Lucifer finally got everyone fed and ready for the day except for himself. In the last fifteen minutes he managed to shower, shave, change clothes. He was only wearing a black t-shirt, black tank top undershirt, black jeans, black leather biker coat, black leather combat boots, and a watch.

“Lucy, we’re going to be late.” Iggy said a bit impatiently as she waited for him by the door.

Lucy was what his closest friends and family called him since it was short for Lucifer. He knew she was only bluffing her impatience since she rarely wanted to leave his side for a second. Which happened to be the reason she had convinced their parents to let her live with him in the first place. Checking his pockets he made sure he had his keys, his phone, and his badge before heading to the entryway.

A smile spread across his face seeing his adorable little sister standing in the entryway in her new school uniform. He snapped a photo of her to show Levi later. Lee and Izzy already took off for work with their lunches and Iggy was waiting for him with her own lunch in hand. Walking past the side table he noticed the package from earlier and absently brought it with him.

It didn’t take long for him to walk her to school and finish the paperwork they needed. By the time he was finished it was already seven-thirty. Leaving the school he finally open the package to find a new badge and a set of instructions telling him he’d been reassigned to a new division and where to arrive at. It also told him when. Shit. Fuck. He was late on his first fucking day. Wonderful.

Luckily it was in his area so it wasn’t too bad and if he hauled ass he should be able to make it across to the other side of the neighborhood in ten minutes. He didn’t even waste time to think about it and just started running. He took short cuts whenever he could trying to shorten the time getting there. Everything would have been fine until he got to that damn flower shop and some punk came flying into him.

Lucy shoved the kid off of him and jumped to his feet. Another kid came flying at him though with his reflexes he managed to deflect the second kid on top of the first one knocking him back down to the ground. Then a third one, he again deflected on top of the other two who were trying to help each other up off of the ground.

When Lucy looked from the three boys to the flower shop he wasn’t surprised anymore as to why he had gotten hit by one of them. Alexis had fought them off and the look in her eyes was cold as ice. She was pissed the fuck off and he could see why. The shop owner was holding her daughter Iris who was still cheering her mother on.

The three kids had caused a lot of damage to the shop which had his attention back on them now. He snatched each of them up by their collars and slapped cuffs on them before they could run away. He made them all sit and wait while he snapped pictures of the damage with his phone.

“Hey Al, I’ll take them in and come back for your statements later. Shit... Now I’m even later... Tch. Damn punks.” He muttered grabbing them up by the cuffs and rushing their asses to his new building. He drug them into the bullpen and shoved the three of them into chairs before joining all of the others in the conference room.

The room was completely glass and the blinds were open so everyone had seen him come in with the kids in tow. His lateness was remarked upon but then passed over since he had obviously had a reason since he had showed up with three kids in handcuffs.

Commissioner General Nam and Prosecutor General Butler had gotten permission from the president to form this new task force comprised of both Prosecutors and Cops to solve highly suspicious crimes and bring to justice those who have done wrong no matter their station. The would answer only to the two of them and the two of them would report directly to the president themselves.

The Special Crimes Division would be given hand picked assignments as well as being able to pick cases as a team. The SCD would be comprised of two teams led by Prosecutors Min Tae Yeon and Levi Rivaille. Both would be in command of both prosecutors and cops so that the cases could be solved with the utmost efficiency. Both teams will work together if there is only one case. Only when they have multiple cases open will the teams work separately.

They were still short on personnel but Prosecutor General assured them that she was searching out the most qualified candidates to join them since they would be handling cases from all over the country. They would definitely need more hands on deck. She also offered to allow them to make recommendations for any of the work.

Once the meeting was over he pulled Alexander over to the side to speak with him about the three kids. They spoke quietly for a long moment but when he brought up the fact that both Ria and Iris were involved he could tell that Alexander was livid. His eyes got cold and the air around him got even colder. Taking his phone Alexander flipped through the photos that had been taken of the amount of damage they had caused.
