It’s grey outside, and that calls for the dance of vivid gorgeous colors in the weft this morning. Yep, I pulled out all the favorites! 🦚🦚🦚 I am weaving with a wool warp, and in this portion of the cloth I am weaving with cut up silk from cloth I dyed years ago, old scarves, and some sari ribbon. I’m also weaving with some silk and cotton yarn, and I even pulled one yarn from the basket of acrylic yarns- because of the color. 🦩🦩🦩 I’m usually a snob about fiber content, but my every snobbery is second to my love of color. Always. 🦜🦜🦜 I will eventually get this cloth off the loom and then I will felt it and that will lock all this gorgeous silk into place so that I can cut it up and use it to make something. How’s that for slow fashion?!
