Collezione Angels of Work

La sua prima collezione esamina le creature del Cielo in uno stato di flusso, mentre discendono sulla Terra essendo state abbandonate dall'umanità. Mentre le giovani generazioni voltano le spalle alla Chiesa in numero sempre maggiore, le 24 tele di Mayfair hanno esplorato la teoria secondo cui l'apatia e la mancanza di fede delle persone hanno ripercussioni dirette in cielo.

I nostri guardiani, una volta eterni, si ritrovano a cambiare e quando la loro identità inizia a disintegrarsi, spingono lo spettatore a chiedere: e se diventassero come noi?

Collezione Muse

Le sue “Muse” sono ispirate a Gail, sua moglie, questa serie di dipinti tenta di reinventare il genere del nudo dipinto. In una mostra di 40 pezzi, la maggior parte dei quali nascondono la piena identità del personaggio concentrandosi sulla schiena.

Gail è l'unica protagonista mentre celebra la sostanza degli stretti legami, l'intimità dell'amore a lungo termine e il fascino di riscoprire tutto ciò si pensi che si sia saputo.

Il suo approccio all’ispirazione conserva un'affinità infantile per l'arte che gli ha aperto la strada a una carriera di successo.

Ispirato dalla bellezza della forma femminile, le sue opere d'arte suggeriscono forze più profonde e primordiali. Usando una ricca tavolozza di colori, Blakely dipinge con finezza mentre crea una superficie tattile ottenuta con uno strato su strato di pigmento applicato pesantemente. Cita sua moglie Gail che resta la musa per i suoi pezzi.

Commissioni

Blakely ci apre gli occhi su alcuni esempi di lavoro che lo hanno portato periodicamente fuori dai sentieri battuti e in una meravigliosa deviazione.

Un dipinto dovrebbe parlare da solo. L'ultimo lavoro dell'artista britannico Hamish Blakely presenta un'analisi sensuale di una coppia che balla il tango e, come nella maggior parte di questi pezzi di ballo, c'è un equilibrio intenzionale tra carnalità implicita e genuina tenerezza.

"Per quanto riguarda la materia, ho sempre amato dipingere le persone, favorendo scorci di figure e anatomia. Anche nelle enormi opere allegoriche dei maestri classici, sono sempre stato attratto da aree ristrette di un pezzo - un'area illuminata da punti che rivela una rigida linea della mascella o la torsione di un collo girato ".
