Led through the mist By the milk-light of Moon All that was lost, is revealed
Our long bygone burdens, mere echoes of the spring But where have we come, and where shall we end?
If dreams can't come true, then why not pretend?
Oh, how the gentle wind Beckons through the leaves As autumn colors fall
Dancing in a swirl Of golden memories The loveliest lies of all 🍂♪

This story is a Halloween inspired piece, based off of Aesop's fable 'The Fox and the Grapes'
Word Count: 1.2k

Jimmy took a long drag from his cigarette as he stood outside the Quick & Snappy. The small store that sat right across the street from the arcade. He was begrudgingly waiting for his grandma to finish talking to her old lady friends inside. Normally he wouldn't be in this part of town, but his grandma had dragged him over early this morning. Stating there was a two for one sale on beef, at this precise store, that she just HAD to have.
He pulled out another cigarette from his pack, and moved the plastic store bags to the side with his foot, as he heavily debated whether to storm across the street and teach Ben Park, fucking Alex Go, and some damn tree of a person a lesson.
He had been biding his time ever since his fight last year with Ben Park. Steadily building up his strength as he got into fight after fight, all for the purpose of settling the score once and for all with him. And now here he was, watching Ben and his two stupid friends trying to match their strengths against each other, on some punching machine right outside the arcade.
Alex was the first one up, getting a measly score of 870. Ben was next, and Jimmy pulled the cigarette out of his mouth to focus his sight better, as Ben punched the machine with a deafening smash that Alex had obviously lacked. Jimmy let out a scoff as he noticed that the score read 970. Soon after that he noticed the tree send the machine a high kick.
He didn't bother to check the score as he turned his head to look into the store's front window instead, seeing his grandma still deep in conversations with her friends. That fucking pathetic bastard, Jimmy thought of Ben as his fist itched for a fight. But even Jimmy knew it was a bad idea to start a fight with his grandma still in the vicinity.
She had been having health problems recently, and he cared enough about her to not want to cause her anymore stress. Plus he knew Ben's days were numbered anyway. Especially after the recent scuffle that had happened with Jack Kang at the underpass.
He turned back to see the trio finally walking away, laughing as if they didn't have to thank their lucky stars that he had to hold himself back today. Jimmy grit his teeth as he cursed Ben under his breath and lit up another cigarette.
No sooner had the cigarette touched his lips that he felt a strong slap to the back of the head, causing his barely lit cigarette to fall onto the concrete at his feet.
"Damn it Jimmy! What have I told you about smoking those things! And please don't tell me all these cigarette butts on the ground are yours?" Granny Bae shouted out as she looked in disgust at the littered ground around her.  She shook her head solemnly. "Don't you know your grandpa died from smoking those things. So unless you want to meet him sooner rather than later you'll cut out that disgusting habit."
Jimmy knew better than to argue with her and just rolled his eyes, as he picked up the multiple grocery bags from the ground. He had started following her to the car when an idea formed in his head and he stopped.
"Hey grandma, give me a sec." he called out placing the bags down on the ground again, and jogging across the street, as his grandma yelled out after him.
He reached the punching machine in no time and inserted a coin. He drew back his fist with a mirthful smirk before releasing his punch and hitting the target with a loud boom. He looked down at his score and his face morphed into an unpleasant scowl.
That couldn't be right, he thought as he read the 960 marked score. He dug into his pocket for another coin as he gave his complaining grandma a half assed wave for her to wait. He then quickly inserted the coin, pulled back his fist, and tried again. This time the sound of the impact was stronger so he was sure the score would reflect a better outcome, which in a way it did, but still not what he expected it to be as it read 965.
He clicked his tongue before spitting onto the sidewalk and making his way across the street again to his waiting grandmother. He picked up the grocery bags in a daze as he played back in his head what has just happened. He was so lost in thought that he didn't even hear any of his grandma's snarky comments on the walk to the car.
For the next couple weeks Jimmy trained his body every chance he got. Whether it was by doing pull ups on the school's parallel bars or by getting into unprovoked fights. He was even lucky enough to run into Alex Go at the pool hall, where he shown absolutely zero mercy to the green eyed teen, as he pummeled his face bloody.
But even that small moment of satisfaction didn't make Jimmy's mood any better. He still walked the school halls with a permanent scowl that sent most students running for cover. To everyone he crossed he resembled an angry grizzlie bear just waiting to attack.
Even his best friend Jack Kang wasn't sure why Jimmy was as prickly as he had been lately. He assumed it had to do with the problems Ben Park had caused recently, but of course Jack couldn't have known that it also involved an arcade punching machine. Or the fact that Jimmy had already gone back twice, to that same machine since the original day he had tried it. Each time only showing a slight improvement, with a gained score of 966 on his first return visit and 968 on his second.
And it just so happened that at this very moment, Jimmy was standing in front of the same punching machine, with a look of hatred and determination in his eyes. He stretched out his arms first before inserting a coin, and winding his arm back. He then took in a deep breath, held it for a second, and then released. The loud boom of his fist hitting the target radiated throughout the street.
Jimmy pulled his fist back and scowled once more. The score read 969.
He stood staring at the numbers for a solid minute before spitting out in distaste.
Stupid, fucking machine must be broken. Plus there's only one REAL way to test out your strength anyway.
He pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed up Jack. "Hey Jack, gather everyone up and tell them to get ready. We're gonna hit up Eunjang tomorrow. I'm tired of these games and I'm ready to show Ben a real fucking lesson."

A/N: Anyone who has talked to me for more than two seconds will know that I love me some Jimmy Bae, but even I don't think he will ever catch up to Ben. Even if he's just a hair's breath away, or in this case, just a single point's difference. And seriously out of all the characters, I think Jimmy would be the most sour grapes about losing than anyone else. 🦊🍇

Screams In the Night
Werewolf!Erik Killmonger x Black PlusSized Reader
Another #supersizedfic short. A continuation of this Halloween short for Erik. Please just ignore this if you didn't like the first one cause there's no cute or fluffy Erik here, and I didn't know who to tag. I listened to Childish Gambino's Terrified once again as I wrote. Enjoy!

The dimming light of the sun glittered through the trees, falling onto the forest floor. Though the river was ten minutes away by foot, it's rushing stream could be heard faintly. There didn't seem to be any animals inhabiting the forest, giving off an eerie quietness. Dry leaves crunched beneath the weight of the large animal as he moved closer to you. Dark fur covering his body with hints of gold here and there to match his eyes.
His fangs had increased in size. Somehow still able to fit in his mouth. He ran his tongue along the top row of teeth, taking in your body. The dress you had on was dingy and torn in contrast to when he'd first laid eyes on you. It's ragged material exposed your meaty thighs to the beast. Your brown skin had smears of blood and dirt tainting its beautiful tone.
"You're too damn fine for your own good.." He growled, running the top of his nail along your thigh. Sending a chill through you. "..and I'm so fuckin' tempted." Moving with the grace of a predator, he caught your ankle. Pulling you towards him.
You whimpered as he hovered over you, growling lowly. His nose brushed against your cheek, and his nail ripped your now holey stocking the rest of the way. Exposing your legs to his viewing. He hummed as you watched him change back to Erik. Handsome features setting into place, though now he was exposed to you.
His length bobbed, not fully erect but halfway there. Those claws had disappeared, yet his fingertips still lingered on your thighs. Running up your thighs and stopping at the bottom of your dark spandex before trailing back down your thigh. You breathed heavily as you took in his body.
Aside from the pretty appendage of his bobbing over the parting of your thighs, his studded skin was a smooth brown. A jagged scar here and there. He was what you'd called a thick'n, thick and muscular, which was usually your type. But that was under normal conditions. You had to remember exactly what Erik was, and what he was capable of.
He stroked his finger along the side of your face. Making you turn away from him, trying to escape his touch. Your gaze fell on a stone that laid arm lengths away, a bit larger than the size of your fist. "You don't have to be afraid of me, sweetness.." He spoke softly, returning his fingers to graze your thighs to leave behind tingly touches. "We could put this behind us, and we can focus on the future. A big ass house and an even bigger yard for the cubs to run around in." He grinned, ghosting his lips against the shell of your ear.
You let out a loud groan as you used all your strength to bring the rock to his head. Wasting no time in getting away when he'd fallen off you, leaving his low groans of pain behind. You threw a glance over your shoulder, seeing his body still and unmoving where you left him. It was the perfect chance to finish him off, but your mind didn't register the thought as your legs set into high gear.
The cycle had restarted itself.
You were running through the forest again, ignoring the screaming of your lungs and the aching of your bare feet. This time you felt a bit safer, but not safe enough to stop. There was no time to be tired, and you had to remind yourself aloud several times. Slowing as you reached the road, your chest rose and fell as you tried catching your breath.
The sounds of rustling leaves caught your attention as you stood at the side of the road. Stopping your breathing. Looking for the culprit of the sound, everything seemed to go silent again. Fear crept up your back, wrapping itself around your throat. You backed up slowly, awaiting the moment he would emerge. The moment he'd attack.
Abruptly, two birds jetted out of the thickness of the trees. Flying past before you sighed a breath of relief. As you looked around for a clue on which way to go, you heard the soft rumbling of an engine in the distance. Hope sparked the closer it came and you found yourself stepping onto the roughness of the road.
The truck rounded the curve at a eased pace, headlight barely noticeable with the sun resting behind it. Looking like a halo around the truck that you hope held your savior.
"Hey.. Hey!! Hey!!!" Jumping up and down in the middle of the road, you yelled as loud as you could. Heart racing from the adrenaline pumping through you. The truck sped past you, driving around you. You turned to the truck in disbelief, watching as it continued. Tears fell as you dropped to your knees, ignoring the pain of them meeting the concrete. Until you heard the truck slow to a stop.
The dark red pickup truck backed up until it stopped a few feet before you. You looked up through blurry eyes to see the older black male get out of the truck, hurrying to help you from your knees and into the passenger seat. God must've heard you.
You sobbed loudly when he'd sat you against the cool leather of the seat, hands shaking as you looked down at them. A few cuts battering the once smooth skin. "Are you ok? What happened?" The stranger looked to you, his dark eyes focusing between you and the road as he started to drive a bit faster than before. You tried to control your sobs so you could speak. Stuttering between  'he's a monster', 'he's after me', and 'he killed all of them'.
The man looked at you in confusion, trying to calm you. "Who's a monster? Who's after you? I don't understa-" You both jumped as a loud thud sounded, accompanying the crumbling of concrete. The man hit the brakes and you both were jerked forward before you went back against the seat. "What the hell was that?"
You gasped as you looked ahead, ignoring him as the shaking in your hands returned. Worse than before. "No, no, no.." You mumbled the words as your eyes were glued to whatever was in front of the truck. The man followed your gaze before his eyes fell upon the naked man before him. Him mumbling 'what the fuck is that?'.
Erik.
Erik smiled wickedly, glinting the gold in his mouth as he made his way to the truck. The stranger fumbled to start the truck, being met with an grumble of resistance from the engine. Everything went silent when he looked up, seeing the man gone but you were huddled against the door. Trembling and sobbing as you looked to the roof.
In an instant, the roof was peeled back and you were once again alone. The stranger dangling from the hand of Erik as his eyes fell onto you. "There you are, pretty girl. I almost thought I'd lost you." He tossed the man towards the woods, ignoring the thud the body made as it met the earth.
Erik dropped into the truck, taking the place the stranger once sat. And once again you were pinned between him and an obstacle. "P-please.." You squeezed your eyes shut, pushing your body against the door. He shifted before you, loudly, before he it was only his heavy breathing.
His warm breath blew against your face. With each of his angered breaths. He snarled as his hand shot out to wrap around your neck. You gasped, eyes snapping open to see his close up. His dark fur was matted with blood, both his own and his victims. "I don't appreciate what you did to me back there, princess. It'll take forever for those bruises to go away."
He snarled as he brought you closer. Before he gave a dark chuckle. "Maybe I should keep you around to tend to them since you caused them.." He pinned you back against the door, smiling at your shriek. "..or maybe should I end this shit now and have a little snack."
