Hal! He is Raggedstar, Scorchwind, and Russetfur's dad. He wasn't a father to ragged or scorch at all, but it's implied Red has a relationship with him prior to joining Shadowclan and becoming Russetpaw, even if we don't ever see it. He kinda sucks, idk but did he really deserve to have his throat clawed out over a couple lines of goading? Raggedpelt confronts him in secret during a battle so there is plausible deniability but Hal was just standing there, having a conversation, albeit as obstinately and disrespectfully as possible but does that deserve a 0 to 60 death? Anyway more evidence on the Raggedstar isn't stable or kind list

Featherstorm and one of her mates, Hal, and his daughter, Russetfur. Then Featherstorm and Hal's kits Raggedstar and Scorchwind, and Scorchwind's mate Darkflower, and their son Cedarheart. Also apparently Rowanstar is their son as well. Then Featherstorm took a different mate in Blizzardwing, and they had Mosspaw, Dawncloud, and Volewhisper. Dawncloud became mates with Finchflight and they had Blossomkit and Swampkit. Blizzardwing had an affair I guess with Hollyflower, and they had Blackstar, Flintfang, and Fernshade, and Fernshade became mates with Wolfstep and had Badgerfang. I think this may be the most convoluted Shadowclan family, I had to split it up too.

Scorchwind! Even though I'm making my way through Shadowclan's allegiances from Into the Wild forward I wanted to do the rest of Rowanstar's family. Scorchwind is Rowans father according to the family tree, which I think is fine though there is no canon evidence that Darkflower and Scorchwind are even alive during the same timelines. He appears in the prequel super editions, and we don't know when or how he dies, but he resides in Starclan according to the family tree.

He is Raggedstar's littermate, and in Yellowfang's SE they are both teased about being 'kittypets'. Scorchpaw cares less about his heritage than he does about his clanmate's treating him like a warrior, Raggedpelt himself relating that "scorchpaw doesn't care" about finding out who their father is, and isn't present when Raggedstar confronts and kills Hal. He is intensely loyal and tries very hard to prove himself to be all Shadowclan, sometimes to a reckless degree, in using claws 'accidentally' during training and when defending the clan against competing animals in the forest, saying he would flay a badger that has hurt Raggedpelt and spread it's guts from there to twolegplace. When Red and Boulder join Shadowclan he is initially very condescending to them treating them like 'kittypets' but eventually becomes friendly to them, and is seen a few times conversing competitively with Boulder. When Raggedstar is killed, he is devastated, and is the first to talk about revenge on Windclan.

there is a small reflection in Blackstar's novella that says he was present in the raid on Thunderclan for their kits, but this is unsubstantiated by the Main Series and I personally don't count it as canon. He was mentored by Crowtail, and had an apprentice but due to the passage it's unclear whether it was Blackstar, Fernshade, or Flintfang.
