Possibly one of the best visits I’ve had all year! It was a pleasure welcoming @rachelle_salnave and @negusmawon to the community. So much amazing energy shared ✊🏾 . Repost @negusmawon . Like Manmi @paulahyppolite said "This run was long overdue." In the states we’ve been brainwashed by the media about Haiti, as if there isn’t poverty and insecurity in the US and other countries. While poverty is a design created by colonialism, some have created pathways toward Self Sustainability for themselves and taught others in the process. Give Thanks to @growninhaiti for living in abundance and spreading it! No one that cares for real solutions has spoken to or cares to speak about how @growninhaiti cultivates and continues to produce an over abundance of food not only for his immediate family/friends but for the families in the surrounding communities and machens in town. Everything planted grows on the fertile Haitian soil he tends to and I’m not talking about "indigenous" fruits and vegetables. Building with @growninhaiti over time I learned there is really no such thing as indigenous foods. People that travel from different parts of the world essentially come with the foods they eat and planted them where they are. @growninhaiti always says "If you cultivate the land it will give back to you it’s the cycle of life." With that said Please support @growninhaiti in any way you can a donation to their GoFundMe, log in learn about their initiatives and share widely!! @paulahyppolite @sidneyetienne @essenseofyi Give Thanks for the hospitality… #lunionfaitlaforce #diasporadiaries #growninhaiti #selfsustainability #haitianfarmers #blackfarmers #haitilives #jacmel #independent #bwakayiman #community #eachoneteachone https://www.instagram.com/p/ChPr5z9OPgn/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Aga reisile tagasi: Day 4. No terekest!  Pühapäev…

Excited and honored that my community is being recognized for our works tonight in HARLEM. Excited to see folks from Miami being celebrated too (that's huge). . . but I'm so charge at the possibilities of what we all (not just this group) can come with to be part of the redevelopment of Haiti 🇭🇹! One misconception people have about Haiti is that, poverty runs the country. The media will never show you just how beautiful it is. There is in fact life there. Haitians party, work, raise families, go to school, & vacation there. Haiti is so rich in value but you shouldn’t have to go there yourself to know that. - 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹

ETHNIC CLEANSING IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
WTF on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, the Dominican Republic government began to legally process the looming mass deportation of thousands of migrant workers and their families whose citizenship status have not yet been regularized. This is the result of a 2013 Constitutional Tribunal ruling that stripped Dominican born children with Haitian immigrant parentage of their citizenship.
This racially charged disgusting act is estimated to effect over 500,000 immigrants born after 1929, 90% of whom are of Haitian decent. The Dominican Republic’s military is currently stepping up its campaign of collective deportations, sweeping up anyone who looks Haitian and dumping them on the Haitian side of the border.
We also know that Haiti’s present is full of international snafus, from the Red Cross’ epic fail to the UN’s refusal of accountability for the cholera epidemic, and underreported sexual exploitation of women and girls by UN peacekeepers. One need only look to the past for historical evidence that helps to explain the incessant exploitation and dehumanization, which is unfolding now. Now imagine, 500,000 people who most likely have not even been to Haiti now being dumped at the border and told to find their own lives when we know not only has there been recent tragedy surrounding the 2010 earthquake, there is also major turmoil within the structure and resource capacity of the government and country as a whole. With over 290,000 homes damaged/destroyed and 1.5 million people becoming homeless after the earthquake, how is Haiti supposed to cope with 500,000 homeless people coming into the country? I don’t understand!
I don’t understand how the Dominion Republic expect this to have positive effects on their own country dynamics let alone Haiti. I also don’t understand how they have openly declared Ethnic cleansing of a population (being compared to the Holocaust by some) not being intensely covered by the international community and media.  This is a Western Country people. #staywoke

Greedy money-hungry politicians ruined the beautiful island of Haiti & now it can't proper like it once did. Forget Jamaica, Haiti flourished in the tourism industry, once being the #1 most visited island & we were the 1st ever black republic ❤️💙
