Chapter Two: Godly Affection.

Kazashi stared at the device in her hands, her hazelnut eyes swirling with mixed emotion. She picked at the bedazzled case covering her phone, eyes staring down at the picture of your contact. A picture of the both of you at the festival, clad in traditional kimonos and holding goldfish in bags. A smile gracing your face.

It was the first time she had seen you truly smile, brighter than the sun shimmering on freshly fallen snow. It wasn’t the small tug of your lips when your group of friends made a funny joke, or the serene grin that graced your cheeks when you were doing something you enjoyed. It wasn’t the forced simper you put on when you were trying to hide behind a mask.

It was a genuine, ecstatic smile.

Kazashi wondered when her love for you had turned from platonic to something more. She wouldn’t call it romantic, but it was definitely bordering between the two lines of friends and more. More than a sister, but less than a lover. Part of her was oddly jealous. Jealous that her soulmate mark was different from what you were interested in. She wished she had his mark.

During practice today, Kazashi had done something she should have done sooner. She glanced at the boys marks. Osamu had a dessert of some sort, Aran held something she couldn’t quite make out, definitely nothing related to you, Suna’s was obviously a microphone, Atsumu a clover with a sword before it…

But, Kita’s…

It was a fox. Usually that wouldn’t make Kazashi glance twice at it, but it was the fox’s design that caught her chocolate gaze. It looked… like the temple statue. With the same shimenawa around it and the grin on its maw. Seeing it, it made sense to her why your mark was the rice crop.

Kita Shinsuke was your soulmate.

She should’ve been happy, she should’ve immediately jumped up and texted you. But she didn’t. Why? Kazashi had no clue. But it made her stomach drop, seeing the mark on the Captain’s wrist. It wasn’t that she didn’t like Kita, she did. He was a respectable guy in every sense of the word.

He was the type of person who you could bring to meet your parents, who would take care of you and love you unconditionally. But he was cautious, and took things slow. Slow wasn’t an option anymore.

Four months.

Almost half the time left for you to find and fall in love with your soulmate or you’d be handed over to a man who, without a doubt, was the worst possible candidate. Kazashi shook her head after your last text, taking a deep breath as she switched over to the chat she had with Midōba, Mizuki, Ataiyo and Suna.

Bringing a hand to your face, you let out the sigh you had been holding in. Katashi, noticing his granddaughter’s disscontempt frowned, placing his cup of tea down. “What’s the matter, chīsune? You seem—“ The elder man squinted at the young girl before him. “Troubled.” You felt a small, hardly noticeable smile tug at your lips. Your grandfather was always so perceptive.

“Ojii-San… is it.. possible to have a god as your soulmate?” You mused, looking up at him with watery (e/c) hues. He smiled softly down at you, standing from his kneeling position on the tatami mat. “Well, yes. Gods may be Gods, but they too can be victims to mortal emotions. Greed, anger, even love can be harbored by the gods. There are people born with soulmate marks that make absolutely no sense. And some who are born without them entirely. It’s said those marks are indicative of a more.. celestial soulmate.”

He spoke so calmly, running his fingers over his bearded chin in thought before looking back at you with his slanted Amber eyes. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you had a god as your soulmate. Especially with your devotion. After all… our family has had it happen before.”

I’m working on Alisa’s route for Wanted by Yokai and might post a little sneak peak soon. The Wanted by Yokai series is a three part series so unlike Wanted by Foxes the character routes are gonna be shorter, shared between three separate posts with four characters per post.

So I’ll be posting Alisa, Akaashi, Kiyoko and Sugawara together, most likely. Then Kenma, Kuroo, Sakusa and Komori. Then Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Matsukawa and Eita.

I have this week off work so I’m a bit more active than I usually might be, I’d love to be this active all the time but writing and drawing doesn’t pay my bills, unfortunately 💔 maybe at some point when I get better I’ll open a Patreon, but I don’t know.

While I’m here I’ll go ahead and talk about my request/ask rules. Requests and Asks are open. I’ll write mostly anything, suggestive, dark, poly— I won’t write straight up smut yet, simply because I’m not as good at it. Maybe at some point. I’ll write headcanons, one-shots, scenarios, drabbles, text-fics.

I’m particularly fond of the Yokai, Fantasy, Mafia and Street Racing AU for Haikyu!. So I’ll be writing for that. I write for other fandoms too, like Bungo Stray Dogs, Voltron, My Hero, Inuyasha, Seven Deadly Sins (I’m an Arthur simp-) and other fandoms that I’ll list eventually, but at the moment my focus is definitely Haikyu!. I’ll probably spend most of today getting my blog in order and posting lists for fandoms, characters I’ll write for, ask and requests rules, etc.

I’m really bad at Tumblr, so I’m learning but it’s slow. So I don’t know how to do cut offs, I’m still learning tag lists, borders, trigger warnings and other stuff.

God, I’m rambling again, I should get back to writing. But before I go, let me share an update for The Gods are Always Watching and tell you that the series will probably/most definitely have art that I draw myself (: so I hope you all look forward to that. Anyways, I’ll get back to writing.

Also. Thank you guys so much for the crazy amount of love, support and care I’ve received these past few days. I’m shell shocked and the amount of likes, reblogs and followers I’ve received definitely wasn’t expected. I could literally cry from happiness. As usual, requests are open, asks are open, reblogs and likes are always appreciated!
