As much as I hated that No Doubt didn't perform at all for nine years, if they tour again, I think they'll have a renewed energy that they wouldn't have had if they had been popping up every year or two to dust off their greatest hits.

Now I’m thinking about Gwen’s “one and only Spider-Woman” monologue from ITSV. ATSV is all about canon events- every Spider always has their trio of canon events: Uncle Ben, Gwen Stacy, and Captain Stacy. But Gwen’s universe is different- there’s no mention of an Uncle Ben figure in her life, and narratively it seems like her Peter fulfilled both the Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy death in her timeline. And during her speech- “I saved my dad”- she saved Captain Stacy. There is no other significant police captain in her life. I’d bet anything that bullet was supposed to be her Captain Stacy incident, but Gwen subverted it, before she ever interacted with the multiverse. This isn’t even like how Peter B. would never have remarried MJ and had Mayday without the multiverse (another post in and of itself), Gwen already broke her canon before she even knew there was a canon to break. I have no conclusions to draw from these observations but it’s driving me crazy, this means SOMETHING but I don’t know WHAT.

Peter B Parker and MJ never fail to amaze me as a couple bc we learn in the first movie that they divorced because he didn't want kids and broke her heart. He was heartbroken too but imagine Mary Jane, a beautiful woman, who could've moved on because there had to be other men who liked her, she was still waiting for him to come back and when he did she gave him another chance and they remarried and had a baby together. She could've had anyone and she wanted him and him only to be her life partner and the father of her baby. He's a catch too but after a heartbreak that big, she didn't lose hope and they started over so quickly.
And he also wanted her back specifically, being with her made him happy and after losing uncle Ben and aunt May what hurt him the most was letting her go.
It's something I didn't stop thinking about ever since I learned about him having a baby in the second movie. And they're now talking and being so cute as if none of the problems in their relationship have ever happened. It's such a powerful thing to think about.
And now their relationship parallels Gwen and Miles. And Gwen going back to redeem herself after fixing her own private life is like Peter coming back to Mary Jane after he recovered first.

Gwen calling Jessica her mom but only when Jessica herself isn’t around to hear it and only to people who haven’t yet met Jessica. Like Gwen will talk to Peni and be like “yeah my mom-“ and Peni says “i thought you didn’t have a mom though?” and Gwen just says “my MOM” louder and completely ignores that question. Noir thinks that Gwen’s dad got remarried and she’s really loving the new lady. And Ham can basically tell she’s attached herself to somebody and that somebody doesn’t even know it, and frequently says “so does your totally legit mom who knows you’re calling her mom help you with homework?”

do you have anymore love spell/potion recs? it's such a great trope!
The Kissing Fever by Camelots_Daffodil (@camelots-daffodil)
It's spring time in Camelot and you know what that means... love is in the air! Only Merlin thinks that there might be a little too much of it when everyone in the land seems to be unable to stop themselves from kissing whoever is closest. As usual, it's up to him to fix the magical issue before anyone can realise that there's a magical issue in need of fixing.
Written for Merlin Bingo 2022: Under a Spell

i laughed so hard reading this fic, 100/10 would recommend
2. Not Just a Kiss by Sorceressofdragons
Though Arthur hadn’t felt it, time had passed while he’d been with the Sidhe after Camlaan. When he returned to Camelot, fully healed and with Merlin at his side, it was to find Gwen remarried and with a family. He grieved but stepped aside, only wanting his one-time queen and love to be happy.
Several years later, he and Merlin are bespelled by a dying witch, who insists they are both fools. They soon learn that if they don’t kiss every few hours, they are stricken with a severe illness. Knowing it will put the crown at risk, they keep it secret from all but a select few and quietly adjust their lives around it. Soon it becomes apparent that there is only one cure for the spell, but Arthur has long since come to terms with his unrequited love for his manservant and is afraid of all that will change if they go through with it.
~~~
ok not necessarily a love spell, but a you have to smooch spell, which equally slaps just as hard
3. does he know? by a_written_dream (@a-written-dream)
Merlin and Arthur encounter a sorceress with less than good intentions in the forest. Her scheme doesn’t go quite according to plan, though, and Merlin is pretty sure Arthur is now enchanted to be in love with him.
So why isn't Arthur acting any different?
~~~
ahhh so fluffyyyyy and cuteee

wouldn't it be fun if after arthur died, merlin went mad and brought back an arthur duplicate (he IS the greatest sorcerer to ever walk the earth, he could do it; bonus point if he also brings back gwaine bc i miss gwaine). tthink wandavision, with the whole of the kingdom enslaved to believe that arthur never died. he just didn't. the story was that merlin made it in time to heal arthur, but in reality, he never did. he returned to camelot, heartbroken, everybody started moving on, gwen was about to remarry for the sake of the kingdom or something triggering like that, and merlin just couldn't take how quickly everyone just was able to move on. so, he brainwashes all of camelot and pretends that none of the previous years that went after arthur's death ever happened.
at first, it's fine. merlin is so relieved to have arthur back, camelot is thriving again, now that morgana is gone and there's no terrorism from her side in the picture. camelot is back to having their king. of course, no one knows arthur was gone, not actually, but sometimes, something just slips. first, it was mithian and rodor. coming from a different kingdom, they were both not fully affected by merlin's magic (at least, for a time being), and were able to see through the delusion everyone so happily lived in. they both realized that something wasn't right, but the more they tried to put the pieces together, the more the truth slipped away from their grasp.
then, it was gaius. he knew merlin, and, of course, he noticed that something was wrong. merlin was unusually tired, and although he kept the act together, sometimes, the act dropped. just a little bit, when merlin didn't think anyone was looking. merlin seemed to be fighting yet another war (brainwashing people is very energy consuming), when everything seemed to be just fine. in fact, everything seemed to be better than ever. but gaius was starting to piece things together.
and, these slipping occurances keep happening, just little things that don't make sense. and each time someone starts suspecting something, it takes merlin a lot of energy to shake their suspicions off. in the end, merlin has to let arthur go, and then he exiles himself from camelot.
and then, he waits.

The timeline between istv and atsv keeps nagging me
Miles said he was Spider-Man for one year. Okay? Right.
But then you have to consider the time Peter got ready to talk with MJ again, then they remarried. I would say that this took around one to two months.
And then there's the whole time of pregnancy (average of 9 months). In atsv, Mayday is not walking fully but she's almost there. So I would say she's around 8 months to one year old
Gwen was so lonely at the start of the movie one might assume she's one year after istv, but then she said had been already a couple of months in the Spider Society
Not only that, but the Society would have so much time to establish itself if it got around 2 years since the original collider incident
And I think the blow between itsv and atsv timeline would be far greater if Miles went from being 14 in itsv to 16 (almost 17) in atsv, because that's exactly the area where you're not exactly a teenager/kid but also not an adult

With Merlin trending, allow me to share my genius idea.
I don't really want a revival or season 6, but maybe they could do an epilogue/post-show special?
I think the funniest and most potential idea is obviously a special where Arthur rises and Merlin has to introduce him to the modern world, but that pretty much cuts all the other characters out of the equation for what is supposed to be a reunion/anniversary/comeback special.
So maybe it could be a series of moments in time, like episode 3 of Good Omens?
Here's some things I thought of that would have good potential to be in a special:
Parts of Guinevere's rule: Did she get remarried and have kids? Did she repeal the magic ban?
Did Merlin ever go back to Camelot? If he did, a scene of him and Guinevere actually discussing his magic would be awesome, since her "reveal" was an indirect confirmation from Gaius.
Where did Aithusa go? We know she was alive after the battle, but it never shows her again after Emrys sends her away. Did Merlin finally get to be her mentor/guardian? Did she recover from the crippling that she experienced, and learn to speak?
How did Camelot fall/disperse into a modern country? Camelot is obviously in modern day England. How did it stop being Camelot? Was it destroyed or absorbed by an enemy? Did it gradually turn into England?
Magic: What is magic like? Does it die out except for Merlin? Does it still exist, but the general population stopped believing it to be real because of how rare sorcerers become? What about magic creatures like the griffin and the fomorroh?
Merlin waiting for Arthur: Episode 3 of Good Omens includes a compilation of scenes of Aziraphale and Crowley across the centuries and in different eras. It would be cool to see Merlin moving through time similarly.
Arthur rising from the lake: This is a given, it has to happen. We have been very patient, and Merlin has been even more patient. We deserve to see the Once and Future King rise again.
Arthur in the modern world: Obviously, this would be really fun and silly, as well as somber. Seeing Arthur learn about modern things would be funny, but obviously, he would have to come to terms with the passage of so much time.
The only issue I find with this lineup of events/scenes is finding a way to bring Katie McGrath back, since Morgana died during the events of the canon show, not in the future like Gwen, Gaius, Percival, or Leon.
I guess it would be most effective to have some flashback scenes mixed into the flashforward scenes. Flashbacks would also allow other important, deceased characters to come back for the special, like the knights, (Lancelot, Elyan, Gwaine) and Uther, since Anthony Head was a major actor in the show.
Regardless, THIS is what I would want if BBC Merlin "came back". THIS would be amazing. It would satisfy the desire to see into the future of the characters without needing a full season, which the cast/crew have all said they don't want to do.
Share this around if you like this idea! I would love to see other people's additions.

Total Drama family headcanons (and my urban AU editions)- Screaming Gophers
Beth- Her Island Bio said that she's an only child, and that works for me. However, Totaldramarama (which is a separate continuity) gave her a baby brother, I may or may not do the same in my urban fantasy AU.
Cody- Same as Beth- only child in main continuty according to his bio, but his urban fantasy counterpart may or may not have a little brother like his Totaldramarama counterpart
Gwen- she canonically has a younger brother.
Heather- her online bio says she has a younger brother named Damien, and in medical challenge in TDA, it's revealed that she apparently has several siblings as she uses the plural form for both brother and sister when writing her will. I think that she is the youngest of her sisters and is the 2nd youngest sibling overall.
Izzy- she mentioned having a brother in "That's off the Chain."
Justin- only child. His bio mentioned that he was a test tube baby, and his bio only mentions his mom paying for said tube, so I'm gonna say Justin's mom is a choice parent who went to a sperm bank; either that or his dad was a house husband, or at least didn't make as much as his wife. Either way, I get the impression that Justin's mom is a girlboss.
Leshawna- I don't really have any headcanons regarding any siblings she might have and canon doesn't give any info on the matter either. However, since Totaldramarama decided to re-use B's character model for Leshawna's dad, I decided that B is Leshawna's paternal cousin.
Lindsay- she has canonically mentioned having sisters, one of whom is named Paula. Lindsay is probably the youngest or the middle child.
Noah- His bio said he's the youngest of 9. I hc that the eldest of his brothers is Dave's father and that age gap between Noah and this oldest bro is 23 years. Noah was born when his mom was about 46. It took her a while to realize she was pregnant for the 9th time as she initially mistook the lack of periods for menopause. As I've mentioned before in a previous post, my urban fantasy AU would Raj one of Noah's older brothers, and Ellody might also be one of Noah's sisters in this AU. And yes, Dave would still be Noah's nephew is this AU.
Owen- He canonically has 2 brothers. Even though his bio said he was the youngest, his flashback in one of the aftermaths suggest he's the oldest. In my AU Spud would one of the younger brothers in question (even though I don't think that's the case in canon).
Trent- In the canon universe, I'm just gonna assume he's an only child and that his parents may be divorced, with his mom having remarried. As for my urban fantasy AU, he will be part of a blended family with Emma, Kitty, and Devin. In this AU, Trent's parents got divorced when he was young (or they were never married in the first place), and Trent's mom got remarried to Emma and Kitty's father. Devin would be their half-brother, and he (along with Carrie) would be a decade or so younger than the Island cast.

Comedy (and Merlin&Gwen friendship) heavy Arthur resurrection idea where Merlin only manages to wait patiently for Arthur to return for about five years and then he gets to impatient and is so disillusioned with destiny that he spends the next decade researching a way to bring Arthur back himself (and really bring him back, fully human) and it’s such a long con that he fully becomes buddies with the Lord of the Otherworld himself, to the point the Lord of the Otherworld owes him money bc Merlin keeps winning at dice.
And eventually when he’s finally ready he physically goes to the Otherworld himself to make the deal, insisting he and the Lord play one last game of dice and if the Lord wins Merlin will forgive all his debts! And if Merlin wins well :) guess :)
And ofc Merlin does win. And the Lord of Death is over here with his head in his hands like “Emrys I know what you want obviously but there has to be BALANCE I’m telling you” But of course Merlin is very stubborn so he just sits there arguing with him about it for several hours. And eventually the Lord tells him Fine. You can have him back. But it would actually be easier for you to take multiple souls at once. It’s like building an arch, you can’t just take ONE stone. If you’re going to do magic this powerful, you need more building blocks. And they all have to have had some sort of connection to each other in life. And they need anchors in the living world to keep them grounded there.
Merlin’s like yeah, sure, whatever, I literally don’t care what I have to do as long as I get Arthur. But the Lord of Death has one specific soul he’d like Merlin to take with him back to the realm of the living, one that’s been causing him quite a bit of trouble, and Merlin doesn’t like it, but again— He doesn’t care what it takes to bring Arthur back.
Now imagine you’re Gwen, and you’ve been ruling Camelot by yourself for the last fifteen years and it’s probably aged you (MILF Gwen alert). And because eventually she got tired of always being badgered to remarry, Gwen’s agreed to marry Leon, even if it’s just for convenience and they’re good friends. And she hasn’t seen her erstwhile court sorcerer for quite some time and she’s been wondering what he’s up to. And then one day a giant snake monster appears in one of the fields outside the city and she goes out there to see what’s going on, trying to get a better look even as her knights beg her to stay back, bc the snake isn’t attacking, it’s groaning and shifting— Until suddenly something starts to press at it from the inside, and out of nowhere it explodes and out stumbles a very naked and grimy Morgana who immediately starts yelling that she won’t be fooled by another of the Lord of Death’s nasty tricks, and then she promptly passes the fuck out.
So. You’re Gwen. And your evil (is she still evil??) ex homoerotic best friend has returned from the dead and burst out of a giant snake. And confused and in a daze you realize your erstwhile court sorcerer is finally returning; and thank god, he’ll know what’s going on with all this! And then Merlin arrives in Camelot with Arthur and more in tow and is like ah. So this is awkward. I did sorta bring your late husband, brother, ex bestie and ex lover all back from the dead without telling you. And you are gonna have to pick a specific one to ‘anchor’ to you. Sorry about that. Congrats on the engagement by the way! Oh and also Gwaine is here too.
And Gwen just. Breathes very deeply and tries to resist violence

Merlin BBC UK TV Show - Opinion Piece Part 2 - Arthur Was Infertile
I always wondered why Gwen and Arthur did not have any children in Season 5, because this is a very important issue:
1) The primary responsibility of the queen consort was to produce heirs. Uther even resorted to magic to produce an heir FFS.
youtube
2) Gwen was a servant who was banished from Camelot for committing infidelity. Producing heirs would have allowed Gwen to be accepted more easily by the citizens and nobles of Camelot and royals of surrounding kingdoms.
3) Arthur was a king who actively went on dangerous missions and whose life was in constant danger. Producing an heir would allow for the Pendragon dynasty to continue if Arthur were to die (…AND HE DID)
So why weren’t there any children ? In order to decipher this, we simply have to follow the clues:
1) In Merlin: Season 2, Episode 8, Igraine’s spirit came to converse with Arthur. There she revealed she was barren and could not sire children. She revealed that Uther had used magic to have her conceive an heir, which resulted in Arthur’s birth and her death.
youtube
2) In Merlin: S01 E13, Nimueh states only life pays with life. In order for a life to be saved a life must be given up.
3) Since Arthur was conceived using magic which resulted in the death of his mother, he could not conceive new life on his own.
I believe this is for the best as:
1) Arthur is the once and future king. If he would sire an heir, then the heir and its descendants will have claim over the lands of Albion. By not having children Arthur remains the last Pendragon with the only legitimate claim to the throne.
2) Having a child would have been an impediment to Gwen for remarrying. With being a newly widowed queen with no heirs, Gwen’s prospect as a bride increases in value. This would allow her to marry a nobleman to secure the throne of Camelot.

What do you think of Gwen nog going to the wedding? I read that Mykelti said she doesn't know why Gwen wasn't there, so it couldn't have been Just like a scheduling conflict right?
Idk what to think about that tbh, based on her past comments and stuff Gwen doesn't seem to have a problem with David or the fact that her mom is getting remarried. Mykelti acted like it was a shock to her that Gwen didn't show up, so I feel like it would be weird if it was something she'd planned in advance that was the conflict bc like, why wouldn't you just tell your family that?
It's also kinda weird to me that Mykelti says she still isn't aware of the reason days after the wedding, she was like "maybe it was an emergency" but like ??? If I had an emergency that was going to make me miss my mother's wedding, I would definitely try to at least send a group text or something??
I feel like the reason has gotta be sensitive since she hasn't posted anything about it and my guess is that it has something to do with Paedon walking Christine down the aisle (Gwen has big beef with paedon for a lot of reasons for those who don't know), and Mykelti is acting like she doesn't know rn to protect Gwen's privavy. Maybe Gwen didn't know that was gonna happen until shortly before and it just made her too uncomfortable, idk.

The thing about an annulment is that the Catholic Church doesn’t grant most annulments even after they’re asked for. You have to meet very strict requirements. Honestly, I could see Gwen’s being approved or not approved. Maybe that’s why they weren’t married in the Catholic Church because the annulment was not granted.
First I am not Catholic. My wife is. She got her annulment in 12 months because she had the goods. It was even done under the old process.
The only thing that I will say is that the annulment process is not as hard as it used to be. One of the first things that Pope Francis did in regard to annulment in 2015, was to make it easier to get one, reduced some of the bureaucratic requirements and in most cases eliminated the cost. I believe that a lot of Catholics don't know about this, or chose to ignore it. Even during the "SAME" discussions held a few years ago, the input from professed Catholic anons did not even reference this. Most of the discussion that has been present by supposed Catholics have referred to the older formal process. In Gwen's case, if she had the uncontested proof, the local Bishop could have granted her the annulment. This outline a faster procedure if the case presented by the petitioner is very well documented and not contested. Here is an article from Catholic.com laying out the changes.
Pope Francis Reforms Annulment Process: 9 things to know and share | Catholic Answers
On September 8, the Holy See released a pair of documents by Pope Francis that reform the way the Church handles annulments.
Here are nine things to know and share . . .
1) What is an annulment? Is it the same thing as a divorce?
An annulment (formally known as a “declaration of nullity”) is a ruling that a particular marriage was null from the beginning—that is, something was gravely wrong at the time the time the wedding vows were made and it prevented a valid marriage from coming into existence.
This is different than a divorce, which proposes to dissolve a marriage that is in existence.
 2) Why are annulments an important issue in the Catholic Church?
Jesus Christ expressly taught that if two people divorce and then remarry, they are committing the grave sin of adultery. He taught:
“Whoever divorces his wife and marries another, commits adultery against her; and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery” (Mark 10:11-12).
Because of this teaching, the Church cannot simply give divorced people permission to remarry. To do so would be to give them permission to commit adultery.
Consequently, if a divorced person wishes to remarry, the Church needs to examine the first marriage to see if it was valid or not.
If it was valid, then the person is still bound to his or her previous spouse and cannot marry another person.
If it was not valid, then the parties to the first marriage are not bound and so, unless something else affects the situation, they are free to marry other people.
The number of people in our society who are divorced makes this a pressing pastoral problem.
3) How does the annulment process work?
This is a complicated subject, but in simplest terms, the rules governing annulments are expressed principally in two documents: the Code of Canon Law, which governs the western Catholic Church, and the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches, which governs the eastern Catholic churches.
When a man and a woman have divorced, they can contact the appropriate diocese and have their marriage investigated to see if it was valid.
This process could be simple or lengthy, depending on the nature of the case and the forms of evidence available.
If their marriage was not valid, they would be given a decree of nullity or “annulment.”
4) What has Pope Francis done?
He has issued two documents, each of which is a motu proprio. A motu proprio is a document issued on the pope’s initiative. Such documents are frequently used to establish or clarify legal matters (as opposed to matters of doctrine, which are dealt with in other documents, such as encyclicals).
A famous example is the 2007 motu proprio issued by Benedict XVI, Summorum Pontificum, in which he gave greater permission for the celebration of the traditional Latin liturgy.
The two documents issued by Pope Francis are:
Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus (“The Lord Jesus, the Gentle Judge”), which reforms the annulment process for the Western Church (Latin, Italian), and
Mitis et Misericors Iesus (“Gentle and Merciful Jesus”), which reforms the annulment process for the Eastern Catholic churches (Latin, Italian).
At the time of this writing, these documents are available only in Latin and Italian, though you can use Google to produce a machine translation of the Italian version using the links above. (Also, here’s a partial, unofficial translation provided by Vatican Radio.)
These documents were prepared, at Pope Francis’s direction, by a group of legal experts at the Vatican, whom he appointed to the task in October 2014.
Both documents contain an introduction explaining the pope’s actions followed by a set of canons that replace the sections on annulments in the Code of Canon Law and the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches.
Appended to each document is a set of procedural rules explaining to bishops (and others) how the new processes are to work.
5) Why has Pope Francis done this?
He did so out of a desire to make the annulment process more efficient. In many parts of the world, the process has been notoriously slow and difficult. In some countries, it could be practically impossible to get a Church court to even hear one’s case, and if a court did take it, it could take many years to get a ruling.
Thus, as Pope Francis notes, the 2014 Synod of Bishops requested changes to the annulment process. The Synod wrote:
A great number of synod fathers emphasized the need to make the procedure in cases of nullity more accessible and less time-consuming, and, if possible, at no expense.
They proposed, among others, the dispensation of the requirement of second instance for confirming sentences; the possibility of establishing an administrative means under the jurisdiction of the diocesan bishop; and a simple process to be used in cases where nullity is clearly evident.
Some synod fathers, however, were opposed to these proposals, because they felt that they would not guarantee a reliable judgment.
In all these cases, the synod fathers emphasized the primary character of ascertaining the truth about the validity of the marriage bond.
Among other proposals, the role which faith plays in persons who marry could possibly be examined in ascertaining the validity of the Sacrament of Marriage, all the while maintaining that the marriage of two baptized Christians is always a sacrament [Relatio Synodi 48].
The new documents seek to make the annulment process more accessible and less time-consuming.
They do not require the process to be free of charge (dioceses need to pay the people who work on these cases, and in some cases that means paying a fee to partially cover the costs), but the procedural norms attached to the documents do call for the costs to be minimized (see Art. 7 §2).
6) What changes did Pope Francis make to the process?
This is a complicated subject, because he replaced the sections in the two codes of canon law that deal with annulments. In the case of the Western code, that means he had twenty-one canons rewritten (canons 1671-1691).
Some of the changes were slight, but there are too many to go into here.
Among the major changes, as listed in the introduction to Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus, are:
Only a single judgment of nullity is required. Until now, in most cases, if one tribunal determined that a marriage was null, the decision was automatically appealed to a court of second instance, and only if the second tribunal agreed was an annulment granted. Now the morally certain decision of the first court will be sufficient in uncontested cases.
The bishop himself is a judge. Although the bishop has always been the principal judge in his diocese, previously, the section on annulments did not establish that the bishop himself was a judge in marriage cases. Now, in keeping with his role as shepherd of the faithful, it does. In fact, he is the principal judge in his diocese, to be assisted by others whom he chooses. The new law thus puts the responsibility squarely on the bishop as a pastor.
A new, briefer process involving the bishop has been created. Up to now, there have been two processes for handling annulments: the formal process (which is the lengthier one involving gathering and weighing testimony) and the documentary process (which deals with situations where a marriage can be proved invalid simply by presenting certain documents, such as showing that a Catholic got married outside the Church without the required permission). Now there is a middle process involving the bishop. If the evidences for nullity are especially clear, they can be presented to the bishop in a process intended to take less time than a formal process case. However, if the evidences require more examination, the case is to be referred to the formal process.
Appeals can be made against the judgment of the bishop to the metropolitan. As a check on the judgment of the bishop, parties can appeal his decision to the metropolitan bishop (i.e., the bishop who heads the local ecclesiastical province, composed of several neighboring dioceses). Or, if it was the metropolitan himself who heard the original case, appeal can be made to the senior suffragan bishop (i.e., the bishop in the province with the most seniority, apart from the metropolitan).
7) In what kind of situations can the new, shorter process be used?
According to the procedural norms attached to Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus (see Art. 14 § 1), these cases include the following:
lack of faith (does this apply to GR?) resulting in the simulation of consent to be married or an error that determines the will regarding one of the requirements of marriage
the brevity of married life (i.e., the couple divorced very quickly after being married)
procured abortion to prevent procreation (presumably during the marriage itself, prior to bearing other children and thus showing an unwillingness to procreate)
the stubborn persistence in a extramarital affair at the time of the wedding or at a time immediately following
the malicious concealment of:
infertility
a serious contagious disease
children born from a previous relationship
an incarceration
a reason for getting married that is completely foreign to married life (presumably something like entering a legal fiction of a marriage to be able to immigrate or gain an inheritance) or consisting of the unplanned pregnancy of the woman
the physical violence inflicted to extort the consent to marry
the lack of use of reason proved by medical documents
8) When does all this take effect?
Not immediately. According to Vatican Information Service, the effective date is December 8, 2015.
9) Is there more to say about all this?
Lots. However, this will do for an initial look at the subject.

I listened to an interview GR did a couple of weeks ago and he talked about how he doesn't send angry emails or text messages since you can't erase them, so instead he will type out what he really feels and send it to himself, then send a different and calmer message to the intended person that he was angry at. He mentioned there is an "opposing side" of his family that he has to send his kids to and this works when he is dealing with that situation. If the unhinged DMs he has sent to some fans in the past is any sign of how his angry emails might sound then it is definitely a good thing he doesn't send those to Gwen or whoever he communicates with about their custody issues. It is crazy he thinks he has a right to even be angry about anything. He still doesn't seem to get that he's the one who ruined his own life. I can't imagine having been married to someone who betrayed and humiliated me so badly and then have him walk around like the victim just because I got happily remarried while he juggles 24-year-old girlfriends.
This is crazy! Thank you for taking one for the team and finding that for us. I completely agree with you…I don’t know where he gets off acting like Gwen and Blake make his life so difficult when he’s the one who screwed everything up in the first place.

1. the desire beneath by insane_falcon (@insane-ohwhyfandoms)
Merlin and Arthur have been best friends through high school and university, where they eventually add benefits to their friendship. Which is where everything goes wrong—a small taste of something more that leaves them both literally starting to die for more.

2. It Was One Kingdom, Once by queerofthedagger (@queerofthedagger)
“He cursed me. I’m coughing up flowers, Gaius—what other possible explanation is there?”
“Well, there is—”
“He was mad at me, it’s exactly something he would do. Infuriating, obnoxious, goddamned sorcerer that he is probably finds it funny to—”
It is said that the sins of the father should not be cast upon the son. Unfortunately, a father's miscalculated bargain can still come back to haunt you—Arthur is twenty-one, has a kingdom to rule, and apparently, a magically binding marriage contract with the Prince of Escetir. Prince Merlin, who has magic, a dragon, great dislike for Arthur, and still no intention to back out of the contract.
The worst part is, to a degree, Arthur understands—as a sorcerer, he wouldn't trust Uther Pendragon's son either. So he simply has to convince Merlin that he can be trusted, and the contract can be broken while they secure peace between Camelot and Escetir. It's a good plan.
Right up until forces conspire against both their kingdoms, more secrets come to light, and Arthur starts coughing up flowers.

A Matter of Convenience by junetangerine (culuyetille)
‘twas why the whole thing had been sanctioned in the first place: minimal disturbance of the status quo, just a blip in their routine, no consequences. So what if the Quartermaster had had an untimely, dangerous heat and 007 had been the one assigned to see him through it. Both of them knew better than to let anything come of it. (Alpha/Omega dynamics)

the pining is impeccable
2. the simplest of crimes by pdameron (@slverjohn)
Bonds says, "We should get married," as if he's simply commenting on the weather, and the circuit board Q's been fiddling with bursts into flames. The two incidents are not unrelated. * Bond and Q get married. It's not what it looks like.

there aren't that many pining!bond fics so this fic and the next are pining!q fics, but this author writes pining q so well that it would be remiss of me not to rec their fics
3. as permanent as stone cathedrals by pdameron (@slverjohn)
Q has been in love for two years, six months, and twelve days when James Bond walks away, leaving him with a bleeding head and a broken heart on a dark and noisy London bridge.

one of the 00q classics imo

King Jack’s grief for his dead wife has been holding him back. It’s been years and he still cries every time she’s been brought up and it’s been affecting his kids, especially Gwen, whose a spitting image of her. Gwen feels like a freak of nature for not looking like the rest of her family. Her family considers her normal but the rest of the world says otherwise. She has no awareness of other people who look like her and it greatly impacted her self esteem. It was for the best that she probably doesn’t remember her dad’s hateful relatives, who were probably pushing Jack to remarry what they deemed as “acceptable” as soon as Lilyth was on her death bed. King Jack only has King Leland to rely on and we know what he’s truly like. I really hope King Jack will seek outside help after the invasion is taken care of and heal enough to open up about his late wife.
We can add King Jack to the list of CPC characters who desperately need therapy.
