Paranoia was to be expected when one was thrust into an environment unfamiliar. When Sendak awoke, no recent memory came to mind. That in itself was concerning, but he spent little time thinking about it.

First thing was first — figure out where he even was. Somewhere in space. Somewhere that was vaguely familiar in the most unnerving way... Like a strange offshoot of architecture he already knew.

He’d been lingering out of sight for now. Most of the guards that passed seemed like the type to know precisely nothing, if not totally mindless drones. Hugging the wall still, Sendak peers into the next room, his eyes wandering until they settled upon someone who wasn’t dressed the same as every grunt. Even if it was close, she looked the least bit unique, like a real person, though he couldn’t yet see her face.

Eyes darted to the side, catching sight of armor and guns alike. With a flourish, Sendak lunges into the room, grabbing the nearest gun and aiming it directly at the stranger. And to announce himself further, he jerks the muzzle to the side, pulling the trigger to shoot the floor nearby before training it back on her.

“ Tell me where I am and I won’t shoot you where you stand. ”

Paradise Lost - another fake-comic, or as my accountant says, “one more turd in the bucket.” As I painted through the miasma of a few more years in the seventeenth century colonial world, I had plenty of time to consider some of the meanings behind all the events. Anyone making a work like this has the time to consider what they consciously and unconsciously transmit through a narrative. The information seemed to coalesces through events in one place that alter the situation on the other side of an ocean. To consider what is real change, one is left with the impossible task of considering what pieces of the past are left to make a historical narrative and what was lost and therefore a description of change is nothing more than a hypothesis.

Understand The Concept Of Grading For Shotgun Stock

Wood has been used primarily for creating objects of all kinds for a very long time because it has one of the best "strength to weight ratios" of any material at our disposal. It makes complete sense that wood was selected as the barrier between man and metal in the case of firearms. The rifle stock must be functional above all else, and in the jargon of gun stock talk, functional means sturdy enough to withstand the beating that regular usage entails.

In the simplest terms, trees develop by adding layers on top of layers, expanding from the inside out and upward from the ground. Due to this, fences that are attached to living trees are never finished up. The fence is carried up the tree as it becomes taller and away from the ground.

The finest example of how a tree grows that we can think of also aids in understanding the impression of wood's grain. The tree grows a new layer every year. These piled layers give the wood its texture. Sequentially more layers are layered on top of one another until our tree is chosen as the source for a rifle shotgun blanks.

If only everything were that easy. Each year, layers are added, but not all trees add layers equally. Everybody has witnessed a tree bending to grow toward a source of light, twisting, arcing, falling, and then curling back up again. Based on chemical changes in its reaction to (mainly) light or lack of light, layers are added.

Additionally, not all trees grow in the same places as trees that grow along riverbanks in lowland areas have it "harder" than trees that grow on mountain sides. Deep, nutrient-rich soil is preferable to a mountain's stony hillside with its shallow soil and few nutrients from a tree's point of view.

Smaller-scale location-specific problems are not the same as a regional variance. If you've ever established a garden, you are aware that your seed catalog divides all crops into several climate zones based on area. This explains why wheat and beans are the predominant crops of gunstock blanks for gunmakers in northern Montana while going bird hunting, but maize and canola are more prevalent as you move south. Similar to trees, these crops "prefer" a particular set of environmental factors, including the growing season, rainfall, etc., to enjoy optimal growth and production.
