Since April 2023 (barely six months ago), I've been living in a guesthouse in a different and quite far away from my parents' house city. It's been hard, lots of changes, a new city, new people, and a new and demanding job. But, overall, it's also been nice. I have met great and funny people, visited new places, and learned so much about myself and what I like.

Today, my heart melted because "la ñora", the owner of the guesthouse, said that I was "part of the family". She has never said anything like that about the other people renting bedrooms. And she said it because she always makes me sit in the family dining room whenever I have to eat.

My situation is different, I guess. I moved out here, I have a job and this is where I live. Contrary to the other "guests", who are students, they are only here for college or university and their houses are waiting for them.

Felt nice. I feel welcome.
