This person thinks the bed outside Buckingham palace shoot is actually for a Gucci video. She makes good points. I'm trying to remember if those casting calls that were released a few days before this shoot, were they confirmed to be for harry or was it more like wishful thinking on our part cause of the male date for the musician. How did we know it was for harry? It was called duvet or something too which has nothing to do with his album. We might keep waiting for a late night taking music video that was never actually even filmed

Hi sugar. You know what really bothers me about things like this? They just make statements that are completely wrong, but state them as if they know things for sure.

First of all, the two people on the bed with him are NOT the people from the Gucci Memoire campaign. They just aren’t the same two people. We have very clear photos of the person with the dark hair in the Gucci shoot.

It’s just literally not the same person as the one from Harry’s music video.

This person wasn’t in the Gucci campaign either (plus, she had a prosthetic leg which I don’t recall anyone in the Gucci campaign having). And I really don’t see how this TikToker can say with such certainty that the person on the left is the person on the right. Other than having a similar hair color, there’s nothing that makes me think it’s the same person.

Perhaps the pajamas are from his collection with Alessandro, but they were already identified as Gucci, anyway, and he always wears Gucci, so that doesn’t mean a whole lot to me or make me think it’s a Gucci shoot

The fact that the shoot was was called “Duvet” at times is because it’s a code name. That’s very common when filming so the real title doesn’t get out. A number of people (including me) were given the information that what was being shot was a video for something called “Late Night” or “Late Night Talking”. This was well before the track list for Harry’s House was leaked.

We got so much information about this music video shoot that I don’t think there’s any way it’s not for LNT. Why it hasn’t dropped yet could be for any number of reasons. But I think the main one is that As It Was is still topping the charts. There’s no reason to drop another single right now. Sure, it might just get canceled altogether, but LNT has already been confirmed as the next single, so I’d say let’s wait and see, as opposed to making up alternative theories that have no basis in reality.

Pleasing Scent Samples

Hello, friends! I ordered the Big Lip balm from Pleasing and with it came a fun surprise.

I already gave my initial impressions to @twopoppies as soon as I opened the package. It’s been a couple hours or so now so the scents have dried down on my skin and I can take a second smell to let you know my thoughts.

Full disclosure, I don’t think I have a very sophisticated nose 😂 But I’ll try my best to describe as accurately as possible. That said, I’m sure I’ll miss the actual notes and ingredients so consider this the most unprofessional review you could get from someone that just really loves perfumes and doesn’t mind being totally honest for better or for worse.

RIVULETS

Pepper, pine, and powder with floral come through. It reminds me so much of Gucci Memoire but slightly lighter. These are the notes from Fragrantica and I swear Rivulets is very much this but slightly cooler.

It also reminds me of Diptyque’s Figuier scent too. Overall very woody and clean!

Unfortunately it just won’t stay on my skin. I tried it on my wrist and the back of my arm but it only lasts about 10mins or so and then vanishes. ☹️ I really do love it (I was also a fan of Memoire) but if I took the risk of buying it, I know I’d have to put some Vaseline or something else on first to hopefully help the scent last longer.

Bright, Hot

Delicious! Cinnamon, Vanilla, Fruity! It reminds me of bourbon with some sweet tanginess. Or maybe Peach Schnapps! Like it has the spiciness from alcohol but I swear it makes my mouth water like after biting into a ripe peach. This is what I wanted Tom Ford’s Bitter Peach to smell like but Ford’s is just too musky and overpowering for me. I’ll 100% be purchasing Bright, Hot though! It’s so much more pleasant and light. The fruity notes come through with this more vs the musk. And it STAYED on my skin. I’m so obsessed with it, I want it in as a perfume and candle (Harold, please 🙏🏽).

Here are the notes from Bitter Peach to get an idea of what I mean:

Closeness

Oh, she’s SEXY 😮‍💨

I told @twopoppies it smells like spice, pink fruity bubblegum and a pink bubble bath! I also get rose. Pink, pink, pink. They chose the sample card well.

This one is the heaviest scent, almost like oud with it’s dark muskiness. But that sweet floral scent just makes it completely intoxicating. I couldn’t stop smelling myself after putting it on, it also had the strongest lasting power on my skin.

If this is the scent people are describing a “vaporub and sex” I don’t disagree but I don’t think the description necessarily does it justice. 😂 All the scents are definitely meant to be unisex so they all have a powdery, spiciness to them. But this one is just so alluring and HOT. It gives me sweat, heat and sweet playfulness.

The closest thing I could compare it to in my own collection of perfumes was Clean Reserve’s Sparkling Sugar.

But switch the Fruity and Musky amounts. Closeness is like this scent’s naughty sister. 🖤

And there you have it! As I said, I’m not a professional perfume reviewer by any means (clearly 🤣) but I hope this gives everyone some idea of what they can expect! And of course if anyone else got the samples and would like to add (or tell me I’m completely off the mark, haha) please do.

Overall I genuinely loved each scent and think there’s something for everybody here. My favorite compliment is when someone tells me I smell good so I’m really particular about what I wear but I can honestly say I’d wear all of these happily. I lean more towards Bright, Hot for my personal preference but Rivulets smells great for an everyday scent where Closeness would be perfect for a date night out. The quality also seems to be great so if you do plan to purchase like I am, I don’t think we’ll be disappointed with the product.

Part 1/2 of my Harry's break post

This is kind of relevant to my next post so just take a read through if you want. Also this is just my opinion based on what Harry's said/what we've witnessed. Please don't get your panties in a twist. I'm just trying to make a point which will become clear in a little bit - I promise.

Also my timeline might not be exact so bear with me.

Imagine yourself in Harry's shoes:

At the age of 16, when you're still young and maturing, you audition for the X-Factor and make it through. You leave your seemingly ordinary life behind and pursue singing on the reality show. Long story short, you're thrown into a band with 4 other people and your popularity sky rockets. You never go home to your ordinary life.

From the time you're 16 until you're 21, you're on the road constantly. You record an album, go on a world tour, write and record another album while you're on tour, do promo when you get off tour, and repeat the cycle 4 or 5 more times.

You're now 22 years old and you finally got out of your contract. You immediately sign to a new record label and management with your friend, Jeff, who has been whispering in your ear for at least a couple of years now. You can finally begin your solo career.

It feels good to be on your own but you're a little more nervous than you thought you'd be. You spend a lot of time writing and re-writing music (making sure it's "perfect") and decide to take on your first acting role. It's probably a lot of stress. You sit by yourself at lunch on set. You go home and write. You're multitasking two completely different, and somewhat new, things.

Your first solo album comes out in May 2017. Your first movie comes out in July 2017. You haven't had much time to breathe between promo and planning your first solo tour but you're excited. Reception has been positive.

You open your first solo tour at age 23 in September 2017 to an audience of 3,188. Things are going well. You begin to write your second album and decide you don't want to play things as safe as the first album. You start working more with a team and building your brand. Your last concert is July 14, 2018.

Now you have a little time off but you decide to fill it up. You continue writing your second album and have plans for its release. You go to Japan for a little. You induct Stevie Nicks into the RRHOF. You host the Met. You go to the Gucci Cruise fashion show. You play dodgeball on the Late Late Show. You become the face of Gucci Memoire. Your off year really isn't an off year and before you know it, you're promoting your second album.

Fine Line is a whole other ballpark than your first album. You do way more promo, your fame and success as a solo artist rises dramatically, you're planning your second world tour, you have A LOT going on...and then Covid hits and everything halts. You don't know what to do. You huddle up at home - then with friends - for a bit and start to work on your third album because you can't sit still. You film a couple music videos. And then you decide you have time to take on 2 new acting roles.

Don't Worry Darling throws you into a circus you didn't think you were signing up for. Suddenly your face is plastered everywhere and people are more interested in your sex life (again - something you've been accustomed to since you were a teenager). You're on the verge of overexposure.

You go on to win your first Grammy and open up the show. You film My Policeman. You win a Brit award. And then FINALLY you are able to go on your much anticipated tour.

You're 27 when you finally start your second tour in the USA on September 4, 2021 to an audience of 13,413. It's just the USA for right now due to Covid's rules. You really want to tour though so you decide to go for it and you'll figure out the rest as it falls into place.

You tour Fine Line in the USA until November and then you begin promo for your third album, which comes out May 2022. It's not much of a break before the next leg of your tour which starts in June 2022.

From June 2022 - July 2023 you are touring pretty much nonstop. You also win a couple more Grammys and Brit Awards (as well as others). You're incredibly successful and busy. Your longest break is a little bit over month which is nothing compared to how long you've just been traveling. But you don't mind because you love it. You said yourself performing is your favorite thing to do.

But then it ends. Your busy streak comes to a close and your tour, perhaps one of the only places where you can just let lose and enjoy yourself completely, ends. Your last concert is when you're 29 to an audience of more than 100,000 I believe. You realize you've created a family and people really do love you.

I don't know what Harry has planned next but I think it's possible he doesn't have a concrete plan like he's had before, hence his emotional exit. Because at the end of the day, after EVERYTHING has finally come to an end, he's met with silence and it's probably 10x louder than anything he's ever felt before. It's something we can't quite comprehend.

HARRY’S STYLE EVOLUTION PART 2 (HS1 Era) by an actual stylist

First off, thanks for the love on part 1! It was truly, so fun to write. I have such a good time looking into Harry's style because it's something I've always kept my eye on throughout his and my own career. If you haven't read part 1, I definitely recommend it, as I'll be referencing some things from it. (Link to that is here.)

This is part 2, which is solo Harry, particularly during the making and tour of HS1 (2017-2018.) I just have TOO much to say about his style for it to be concise I'm so sorry lol.

Without further ado, let's get into it!

2017!

Harry's first official appearance after 1D is on October 6th, 2016, a dinner hosted to celebrate his trio of Another Man covers with Alister Mackie and Kris Van Assche. He wears a suit by Dior Homme.

To debut his single "Sing of the Times" on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, he wears Gucci tartan trousers (left). He has a real Gucci tartan moment here. Also wearing a Gucci tartan suit to perform on Saturday Night Live (right.)

At this time, his personal style is still reminiscent of his late 1D style. He's still wearing black skinny jeans and the infamous YSL suede boots. He falls into a real short sleeve button-up/Hawaiian shirt kick here. Wearing it during Snl Promo (left) on Carpool Karaoke (middle) and a black open version at a New York Rangers game (right.)

On the day his solo album is released, he wears a tartan Vivien Westwood suit with Gucci loafers (left), and on the Today Show, he wears the GORGEOUS bespoke Edward Sexton bubblegum pink suit (right.)

At this point, Harry's worn a suit to basically every public appearance he's had since 1D broke up. This makes a lot of sense. He's starting his solo career and wants to be taken seriously. What's more serious than a suit? They're often brilliantly patterned or in bright colors. Showing his fans and the world that he's still the flamboyant, bright, charming person they knew in 1D but evolved. Older now, no longer in a boyband but a Man Band, as he himself puts it.

Harry wears these Gucci wide-leg trousers with dragon detailing on the leg several times. I personally love this look. He wears a pink version (left) at his first solo show at the Garage, a brown version (right,) to perform at a Sirius XM event, he also wears a similar one to perform on the Graham Norton Show. Middle, he wears a Gucci suit with Roker boots on the James Cordon show.

Also, on James Corden's show (sorry lol) he wears the same Roker boots and this dark emerald green VELVET suit by Saint Laurent that I'm absolutely obsessed with and feel like we did not give her her moment (left.)

He's also doing Dunkirk promo at this time and typically dresses much subtler for those appearances than he does to promote his own music. It makes sense he's not trying to command the spotlight at these press events, instead opting to seem more like an ensemble player. For the French premiere of Dunkirk, he wears a suit by Prada and Roker boots.

In another Late Late show appearance (he does so many during this time), he wears this Loverboy jumpsuit by Charles Jeffery (left), and on an Elvis Duran appearance, he wears a button down with art that mimics his tattoos by Stella McCartney, along with black skinny jeans and Calvin Klein boots (right.)

In September of 2017, his official Live on Tour starts in San Francisco, and he wears a floral printed suit by Gucci (left.) Later he will wear a similarly patterned floral Gucci suit to perform at Radio City Music Hall (right.)

At the iHeartRadio music festival, he wears a harlequin Gucci suit (left), and later in Sydney, Australia, at the Aria awards, he'll wear one of my favorite suits. An Alexander McQueen suit paired with gold Roker boots.

At this point, it's clear that Harry's love affair with Gucci has started he won't become the frontman of the Memoire d’une Odeur Gucci fragrance until 2019, but he definitely has some affiliation with the brand. I'm sure they're sending him pieces and working with him closely. It's unclear if this is spurred on by Harry Lambert or if Harry Styles and Alessandro Michele are friends yet, but regardless, he wears Gucci more than any other designer at this point, and Gucci will go on to supply a lot of the suits he wears during the tour.

2018!

Harry will wear A LOT of suits during the Live on Tour tour (those were the days, huh,) and in a bit, I'll go over some of my favorites. (If you want to see all of them, that can be found here,) but first, I want to talk about his personal style.

We see him starting to move away from skinny jeans and opting for more expressive pants. In the picture on the right, he wears the first Bode piece I believe we ever see him wear! This fits the culture of the time as we as a public begin to move farther and farther away from skinny jeans.

He's not back to adorning himself in vintage t-shirts quite yet (we'll get more into that during his Fine Line era.) But there is a noticeable difference in his style, for sure. He's much trendier than he was before, and much like how his style evolved when he was hanging out with Nick Grimshaw and co, I do think part of this style change is due to his relationship with Camille Rowe.

Harry and her were first linked in July of 2017 and have assumedly been dating for several months at this time. It makes sense that he'd be gaining some of her style from osmosis. Later he'll even admit himself, "There's a piece of you in how I dress."

We'll get more into this during his Fine Line era, as that's when he starts dressing A LOT more like her, but I do think there is a noticeable shift in 2018.

As mentioned before Harry wears A LOT of suits during this time and though I genuinely do have an opinion on every single one of them, there's just not the time. So below, I'll highlight some of my favorites.

Left Harry performs at the We Can Survive Benefit in Hollywood in a custom Stella McCartney suit. Right he wears the infamous ensemble by Harris Reed (I went to university with them and am totally not jealous at all) on tour in Amsterdam.

One of the best things about the Live on Tour suits was that there really was a sense that outfits were picked for specific places.

In Glasglow, Scotland, he wears a kilt (left) from London outfitters Highland Store. When performing in Mexico city (right) he wears a suit with embroidery and right sparkly fringe (one of my favorites he'll ever wear.)

In Bologna, he wears one of my favorite Gucci suits.

Just adding my 2 cents to the perfume price discussion:

There are multiple factors to deciding the price of a perfume, such as the size of the bottle + whether it’s an eau de toilette (EDT, less perfume composition) or an eau de parfum (EDP, more perfume composition) + what the identity of the perfume house is (designer, celebrity release, private collection, or niche).

If it’s a 100ml bottle (which is what it looks like) and an eau de parfum, it’s within the price range of a mid-range niche perfume house, which is what Pleasing seems to be going for.

Celebrity releases and designer perfumes can range anywhere from $70 - $150 for an eau de toilette (EDT) and $200+ for an eau de parfum (EDP), while better known niche perfume houses (like Byredo and Le Labo) are hardly ever lower than $200 for an EDP of that size.

For comparison, a 75ml Diptyque EDP is $220; a 100ml Etat Libre d’Oranger EDP is $135; a 100ml Jo Malone (Cologne, so even less than an EDT) is $135.

I think people were classifying this perfume as a celebrity release, and therefore expecting it to be around the same price as Cloud by Ariana Grande or Gucci Memoire, but the brand identity of Pleasing is that it’s a beauty brand apart from Harry, so this pricing, while expensive, is actually consistent with the market.
