A human who was rummaging through a scrap yard and finds the body of a very damaged and unconscious Guardromon and decided to take it home and repair it

A human finding a badly damaged and unconscious Guardromon in a scrap yard and trying to repair it at home

The scrap yard could provide a lot of interesting things. Sometimes, stuff would be tossed that could still be used. Parts could be salvaged, and some just needed a nice clean-up before they could get back and do something useful - like a spare part for another car or truck, or whatever they can get their gloved hands on.

Though this... this thing. They've never seen it before, and they were sure they checked this spot a thousand times. Course, not like it was odd for new things to just pop up - people leaving it or it getting tossed on accident... though this thing seemed like it was a robot that somebody beat up then tossed away. For what reason though?

It was still perfectly salvageable! Maybe they could get it to work - the computer stuff to see how it all was could come later. Managing to move it to their car and taking it home to get to work. They could repair plenty of the robot, spare parts abundant and being able to use them to help take time to fix everything up.

Hard days' work, finding and repairing this robot... maybe tomorrow they could see if the robot would turn on - like if it had an on-off button or switch or something. For now, they were too tired and near falling asleep where they stood. They did a pretty good job, and deserved a good long rest.

Guardromon did reboot, startling the human who was continuing to work on him when his eyes suddenly lit up. He took a moment, scanning the being before him before letting out a burst of steam. Guardromon was quiet... the human was quiet.. and then the Digimon introduced himself with a slow hand out to offer help in getting them to stand up.

Guardromon was more than thankful for the repairs, he didn't know how to thank the human for even considering taking care of him. He was still in a weak state... but perhaps he could offer his assistance in finding parts in that scrap yard if the human was fond of it. A partnership to be sure with how strong the Digimon is, and helping to find parts that could actually be sold or repaired without a lot of work. Always giving percentages on how something could be repaired and if it was worth it.

As Shaochung feels Lopmon is in danger, she climbs up a pillar, and her Digivice somehow takes her to Zhuqiaomon's palace. Throughout all this, Guardromon is watching her—and says/does absolutely nothing. Then, Hirokazu comes back to find that Shaochung had disappeared and Guardromon is standing there.

Shaochung: Lopmon? (Shaochung checks on her digivice and finds that Lopmon is in terrible danger.) Shaochung: Lopmon! No! (Shaochung wants to help Lopmon but she remembers her brother's warnings not to go into the palace. Then, Shaochung decides that she must do something by climbing up the pillar of the entrance. Guardromon just watches her curiously.) Shaochung: Lopmon, don't die! (Cue to her prayer, Shaochung's digivice glows and takes her to the palace, sending her flying.) Shaochung: Huh? What? (Guardromon watches Shaochung fly to the palace and stands there silently, doing nothing. Moments later, Hirokazu comes back to check on Guardromon and Shaochung.) Hirokazu: Hey, Guardromon! I just heard Jian's little sister's voice... (Hirokazu looks around and finds that Shaochung is missing.) Hirokazu: Where is she? Guardomon: She flew away. (Hearing his partner's words, Hirokazu reacts in disbelief.) Hirokazu: Flew away?! What's that about? Didn't I tell you to keep an eye on her? Guardromon: But I was looking at her. (Hirokazu stares at Guardromon and scratches his head in a mixture of shock, disappointment, frustration and disbelief). Hirokazu: That's not what I meant!
