My Top 10 Favourite Male Villains of all time.
"How arrogant of you to think that any of us are anything but irrelevant". -John Greer, Person of Interest (2011-2016).
There comes a moment in a blog's life where some things are just long overdue, and while the argument could be made that this happened way too early, I'd say that as long as this helps me to find my groove, I am free to experiment as much as I want.
So..... Villains.
Gotta love them. As long as I do not meet them in real life. This post is in particular about male villains since I have one dedicated to their female counterparts in the pipeline so expect that to come soon enough and for this part to be rewritten. By the way, "villain" is a generalisation, I can totally put antivillains, antagonists or more general antiheroes in this list; your definition of "Bad Guy" can vary greatly and so can mine, someone like Walter White from Breaking Bad could have made it in here. My taste is very unusual, so prepare yourself for some unexpected picks.
Also, since these are meant to be some big celebratory posts, for the occasion I'll reveal my Italian heritage and translate every line of dialogue in Italian and publish it separately with a link, so that English readers who are learning Italian can exercise.
But first, some honourable mentions:
Oropo (Wakfu): Once you see the number 2 spot for both this list and the female villains list you might notice a certain pattern regarding my personal preferences when it comes to which characters I tend to gravitate towards the most, but while we're just talking about this guy, I cannot stress enough the amount of wasted potential that lies within his concepts and execution. Really needed two seasons of 25 episodes each to explore it to their maximum.
Tai Lung (Kung Fu Panda): Really like him, but not as much as others, I'll explain it better in one of the entries of my villainesses list. Also, unironically I feel like he's too sympathetic for his own sake and the movie's.
Bill Chyper (Gravity Falls): It's been way too long since I watched Gravity Falls, I really can't give you an accurate opinion on this guy anymore.
Flintheart Glomgold (DuckTales 2017): That season 2 episode. If you know what I'm talking about, you KNOW. Also the music for that whole sequence was a banger, really driving home the deranged nature of that twist reveal.
Big Jack Horner (Puss in Boots The Last Wish): I feel like when people praise Jack for being a breath of fresh air in a stale environment, they often forget just how good of a villain he was in his own right without the larger industry wide void of truly devious antagonists that act out of pure malice.
The Wolf (Puss in Boots The Last Wish): Two villain entries from one movie? Of course it was gonna be The Last Wish, what else could it be? Honestly I don't even wanna talk about this guy, you need to experience the movie for yourself.
Rob (The Amazing World of Gumball): Everything I have to say about this guy gets talked about much better by the number 6 Spot on this list, but as it stands Rob was my first villain OTP and the guy who opened the box of Pandora for me on what an antagonist could and should be, since then my perception of villainy only widened and now I enjoy their role in a story in much different way.
And now, with that out of the way, let's finally start with the ranking of my personal favourite male villains of all time.
Major spoilers down below:
Tumblr media
Number 10: Silco (Arcane)
This guy is the reason that brought me to specify who or what counted for this list as trying to simplify Silco into one specific group of characters is a challenge that can only end in a misunderstanding of what makes Silco such a complex and fascinating character with an amazing character arc, that ends with him not being redeemed, mind you, but allows the audience to grieve in such a way that would make a side character death jealous.
When writing an antagonistic character, Silco is my goal and high standard, and just for that he deserves all of my respect and endless praise.
Now, admittedly, Silco's arc takes a while to kick in, but it works out to his advantage by the end of it since you don't realise just how much you've grown to care for him until he's dead and you're left with the surprise.
10 out 10, the nation of Zaun would have been much better (worse) with him than with Vander.
Tumblr media
Number 9: The Riddler (DC)
The Riddler is literally my ride or die villain, when I'm in the mood for him, he's literally my favourite antagonist ever; when I am not in the mood for him, I completely forget about his existence.
When compared to many other entries on this list, Riddler is definitely more on the pop culture side of antagonism, and when you've been around for almost a century, you tend to have many different versions of the same character written by different writers, so I wanted to highlight here my favourite versions of him:
Arkham Games: He's hilarious. He's not my ideal Riddler, but whenever he comes on screen, his whiny rat's ass voice stimulates my pheromones.
Batman The Animated Series: I've heard somewhere that this version of him is disappointing, and to that I'll say... yeah, but only when he wasn't on screen, because otherwise, he kind of slayed.
Matt Reeves The Batman: This is the version that rekindled my love for him after so long. Out of every interpretation of The Riddler throughout the years, this is the one version that treated Edward more as a character rather than an obstacle for Batman to overcome, and for that I'll be eternally grateful.
LEGO Batman The Videogame: My very first introduction to The Riddler and the Batman universe as a whole, this version has a permanent place in my heart , I love how much information and emotion you can get out of him by just looking at his mannerisms and quirks alone; unironically, being silent helps him reach that quote on quote idealised version of Riddler that I was talking about earlier.
Tumblr media
Number 8: The Snatcher (A Hat In Time)
There are many things that can carry on a villain in a story, their evolution, stage presence, complexity, thematic contrast to their counterpart, and so on and so forth. While an antagonist can check off many of these boxes simultaneously (like the one pictured), there's one box that is almost impossible to truly nail perfectly: comedy.
You see, comedy is subjective, and when your main antagonist is also the funniest part of a given story, it becomes hard to also match a sense of gravity and menace that allows them to also be an imposing threat, even harder is to give said antagonist depth and a tragic backstory.
But somehow, out of nowhere, The Snatcher from A Hat In Time manages to simultaneously be the funniest character in his section of the game, carrie said energy throughout the whole experience even down to the DLC, simultaneously strikes the balance between being scary, wholesome, sympathetic and tragic, exude an insane amount of charisma, all while having a deeply disturbing backstory that touches on some heavy themes and re contextualises his actions into something more complicated and out of a broken man, everything I just said + he's the biggest bastard in his videogame and never repents nor does he have his actions called out.
Snatcher really has all the right cards that make a stationary character work and uses them to his maximum potential, and it works because his character arc throughout the game is more about becoming affectionate to Hat Kid than it is about redeeming himself.
Lastly, his voice actor, Luke Sizemore, aka Yungtown, really sells the performance of this devious soul eating worm and burns his catchphrases into your brain for the rest of eternity.
Fool.
Tumblr media
Number 7: Judge Claude Frollo (Hunchback of Notre Dame)
You can never say no to a classic.
There's nothing that I could say that hasn't already been said by thousands of videos on YouTube, but I'll try anyway: you see, Frollo is the reason why we need a new term to identify certain villains that aren't "sympathetic" but still make you feel some sort of human emotion and a form of "I wish someone could give you the care you need to fix your life", I guess the term empathetic exists, but when do you really see it used?
Now, don't get me wrong, Frollo is absolutely not sympathetic in the slightest, he wants to r##e a Romani woman that's way younger than him, but you can still feel that he's very troubled about it in the Hellfire scene and has definitely a lot of unidentified issues and internalised bigotry that could be worked through, even if it's too late to work through them right now.
In general, I feel like people forget that the main reason why past Disney villains worked had to do more with their human traits juxtaposed to their malice rather than just their plain wickedness, otherwise the Horned King from the Black Cauldron would be top of the Disney villains league and that couldn't be further from the truth.
We should really strive towards writing more villains like Frollo, less omnipotent beings that end up falling flat because they don't have much thematic relevance aside from being a threat (Bill Chyper works because he represents Ego and he's used sparingly) and more average vicious individuals who use their power and influence to get what they want.
All in all, if you've seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame, then you know why this guy is here.
Tumblr media
Number 6: The Spot (Spider-man across the Spiderverse)
"You've hit me with a bagel!" It's still the greatest villain origin story of all time. There's truly something maniacal about this reveal, like the entire universe was shattered and reality was shocked at the mere realization that while Miles was having his coming of age moment back in the first film, this guy was having his normal life completely and utterly shattered by a combination of both our heroes stepping up to do the right thing and our doofus lack of foresight and self reflection; all of this stuff is hilarious and completely made up for the film but good god they did such an amazing job tying all the elements together in an unexpected way that makes sense and parallels the journey that our protagonist faced in the first movie.
Like with Rob from The Amazing World of Gumball, and a little bit like number 2 on this list, I just really enjoy the concept of turning background characters who had no relevance whatsoever into the big bad of the story who's been there all along and the heroes (and the audience) just couldn't notice.
With The Spot in particular, there's that sense of satisfaction of turning the wasted potential of a villain who has been underestimated for literal decades and treated as a "villain of the week" (God do I love the meta narrative of this movie) into an actual competent, well written antagonist that is aware of his reputation and strives towards bettering himself and his powers.
He's also the funniest character of his movie too and the voice acting of Jason Schwartzman only accentuates his mannerisms and pettyness.
He also has the coolest usage of portals I have ever seen and his whole "There's a hole inside all of us" is simultaneously hilarious and very deep personal information that can only be understood if you put yourself into his shoes.
Tumblr media
Number 5: Lord Shen (Kung Fu Panda)
"Happiness must be taken. And I'll take mine"
.....
What a character.
What a movie.
You cause so much pain and suffering, because you don't understand the people around you, and then those people banish you, and you can't understand why, so you start to believe that they hated you.
They never loved you, so you keep causing pain and suffering but it's not that easy anymore; the guilt starts to resurface, all those bodies keep piling up, but you can't stop because then it would have all been for nothing; so you keep chasing those dreams of grandeur because that's all you have left; the emptiness in your heart can no longer be filled by love, so you try to fill it with something else.
You try to fill it with power. You try to fill it with glory. You try to take everything else for yourself so that you can fill that cup, but it doesn't work, because that cup has no bottom.
And so you're left... with yourself.
And the damage you've done. But now it's different; you've failed. You are left with nothing. Nothing.
And so you outrage, for the last time... And then it all ends. Forever. And you've finally come to accept this, after all....... Who could ever love you?
Tumblr media
Number 4: Spamton G Spamton (Deltarune)
You know, in retrospect, it's kind of insane what Toby Fox managed to achieve when creating Spamton.
Not only because Spamton feels like the most insane combination of ideas ever conceived, but also because Toby Fox created such a complex character with such a complicated language and personality and then not only shafted it all aside for the players to go out of their way to interact, but also made all of this in what are officially 2 or 3 cutscenes at most (4 if you consider his shop encounter as one) and only one of them being truly mandatory.
You spend so little time with Spamton, and most of that time is spent fighting him, and yet by the end of it you've become enlightened by the knowledge of him, that after a while... you forget how scary it all was.
All the memes comparing Spamton with Turbo are 100% correct and justified, Spamton truly is Turbo but better; you go through an insane rollercoaster of emotions with this character that you are left absolutely dumbfounded when it all comes to a stop and you go back to play the rest of chapter 2 normally.
I'll admit, I've considered putting Spamton in place of the Number 3 spot on this list; but then I've realised that on an objective level, the next entry totally deserves to be ranked above Spamton; plus, with at least 5 more chapters of Deltarune on our way, whose to say that one of the next gremlins won't be able to dethrone even the number 1 spot?
Drumroll for our top 3:
Tumblr media
Nox, the Watchmaker (Wakfu)
There will never be another experience in my life as cathartic as watching the first season of Wakfu for the first time ever again.
On a later rewatch, the initial problems of the problems you've noticed throughout the season become too apparent to ignore, but the first time everything that goes from the tournament to the finale is one of the best paced arcs of television, and everything that happens when the team reaches the Sadida kingdom is just peak Wakfu.
And the king, the culprit, the crown jewel of properly paced stories and arcs is no other than the sad clockwork dilf himself: Noximilliem Coxen the Watchmaker.
Arguably, the greatest sympathetic villain of all time. There has never been another case of a character who has committed such vile, unspeakable crimes, and yet still managed to make me root for them while simultaneously not putting down the heroes.
And let's not be mistaken here, Nox is pretty evil:
Aside from the generic murder, Nox also defiled and stitched together the corpses of multiple victims and turned them into his obedient puppets in order to commit even more murder and genocide in order to achieve his goals.
Also, this is one of the funniest crimes Nox has committed: he abused his dog. It's really not that funny nor that important in the context of the show, but if you look back at it from my perspective then it's really like: Oh yeah. That happened too. Lol.
By the way, he fixes the one problem I had with Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda, where he's too sympathetic of an antagonist for Western audiences, so the writers had to go out of their way to make him more evil than he really was and that's why in retrospect his death scene really sucked, but with Nox his defeat may actually be the best part of his entire arc and I want a One Villainous Scene video with the "20 minutes" scene.
Words alone cannot do justice to the treacherous, gut wrenching emotional rollercoaster that is experiencing his story for the first time. An hour long video essay would only serve to cover the basics and fundamentals, while for the real deal you need to watch the first season of Wakfu for yourself.
Number 2:
Tumblr media
Bradford Buzzard (DuckTales 2017)
And now it's the perfect time to pull out my final wild card, the hole of the sink of my autism, the masterpiece of wasted potential that is Bradford Buzzard from the DuckTales remake of 2017.
When you'll also see the number 2 spot on my villainesses list, you'll come to realise that this spot is more of the "I really wish I could put this at number one but I can't because objectively he doesn't deserve it and the majority of things I love about him in canon were probably an afterthought and in fanon were never plausible to begin with."
And that's how I feel about Bradford Buzzard, an antagonist I spent more time thinking about than probably anybody else on the Earth.
The show runners were so genius for this: we are going to create an original character that will probably struggle to maintain a foot print on the franchise due to the way the Duck verse works, we'll give him an insanely cool backstory and motivation, all coupled with interesting character traits and ideology, we'll make him the ultimate foil to Scrooge McDuck that has been working with him for literal decades, we'll make him the one who has got the closest to isolating Scrooge and destroying his family, and THEN we'll turn him into a generic anime villain that shoots lasers and fumbles his own plan and loses because of insane plot armour and contrivance. Good job writers.
And now, for the one and only,
Number 1:
Tumblr media
(Note: I specifically chose this picture to avoid spoilers)
Qilby (Wakfu)
Boy oh boy, where do I even begin with this guy, he's the first Wakfu related post I've made on this blog for a good reason, nothing can compare to the level of bastardy that this thumb sucking old fart is capable of putting you through.
If Nox is the single greatest sympathetic villain of all time, then Qilby is by far the greatest twist villain of all time, and the crazy thing is that he surprises you two times in a row, at first by revealing himself as more evil than you could ever imagine, and the second time by being more complex than you could have ever anticipated.
Let me paint you the picture: you just finished the first season of Wakfu after being drawn towards the show by the hype surrounding Nox, so you think to yourself "Oh, now there won't be any more thought provoking, well written antagonists" and you start the second season.
So far, everything is normal, even better of the first season in terms of engagement value, but you can't help but feel the lack of a Nox like figure inside of the story, but at this point, you just accept it.
Then the final six episodes roll around and OH MY GOD WHAT IS HAPPENING, HAS THE WHOLE SHOW JUST GONE INSANE? ( The answer being that it was insane from the start)
But hey.
That's just Qilby for you.
Good job, you old sad bunny man.

Alright. I've seen a heck of a lot of gifs and fanart and comics about The Owl House. I'm finally gonna watch it and write down some of my observations.
(spoiler alert, obviously)
• Omfg her name is "loose". I've been pronouncing Luz like it rhymes with "buzz" this entire time.
• Nothing could have prepared me for Hooty's voice. In fact, no one sounds like I thought they would. Eda is Wendie Malick? Was no one going to tell me this?
• I've only known King for five minutes, but if anything happens to him I will kill everyone in this room and then myself.
• King's voice was also not what I was expecting, which in hindsight was foolish of me. I knew it was Alex Hirsch. The Bill Cipher vibe should not have been a surprise.
• When does Hunter get here?
• Amity is the snobby high-achieving school bully?! BUT THE ROMANCE?!
• I know it's coming. I've seen far too many cute fan works of Amity and Luz for that not to be the case.
• SHE SQUISHED KING'S CUPCAKE THOUGH. 😡
• Ahhh. There's a teeeeny tiny glimpse of the Lumity that is to come. All is right with the world.
• Gus is just a little fella. Comics did not fully portray how smol he is.
• When does Hunter get here?
• I am up to episode 16 and I still watch the opening theme in its entirety for three reasons. One: it's fantastic. The music, the animation, it's all tops. Two: I'm waiting to see when/if the image of Amity changes. She still turns her back at the moment, but she's warming up, I know it. And three: the image of King perched on Luz's shoulders just before the title card makes me smile every time. He's so dang cute.
• Ok. So, I obviously already knew from tumblr that The Owl House is beloved, in part, for its representation of LGBTQIA. And now that I'm experiencing it first-hand? I totally get it. Everything feels so natural and understated. Luz blushing when either of the older Blight siblings spoke to her? The short, sweet glances between Luz and Amity? They're all the typical moments you'd expect to see between a male and a female character, and it's honestly so refreshing (and surprising, coming from Disney) to see it happening between two girls in a way that feels real. I am all aboard the Lumity train.
• In the span of 10 minutes, Eda has referred to Luz as "her kid", called herself "mama", and been shown wearing a watch with King's face on it. I love Mama Eda so much.
• DANCE BATTLE DANCE BATTLE DANCE BATTLE DANCE BATTLE DANCE BATTLE
• Amity has fallen so hard and honestly? Same.
• OMG EPISODE 18! I think that was my first glimpse of Hunter! Lilith cursed Eda?! Eda sacrificing herself for Luz! The end credits with that haunting beating of the heart!
• Season 1 is done and dusted! All those feel good family and found-family moments. This show has so much heart. Gravity Falls is one of my favourite shows, and The Owl House seems to share a lot of its tropes and themes. I'm really loving it! I have so many things I should be doing today. Am I going to watch start watching Season 2 instead? Darn tootin.
• ENTIRELY NEW OPENING SEQUENCE!! I love it! Everyone's kicking ass! And Hunter is there!! And they kept the final scene with King on Luz's shoulders!
• They're setting up The Golden Guard as this new, mysterious, powerful rival for Season 2. But I know too much so every little glimpse of him has me sitting here grinning goofily like a proud mum at her son's soccer game.
• Gus is less smol. Kids grow up so fast. :(
• Finally met Amity's parents (beyond the shadows of them we saw in Amity's memory). Odalia sucks. But I officially love one tired dad.
• "Stay away from my Luz!" !!!!!!!
• Baby King is the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life. King is king of MY heart.
• The Hunter episode was everything I ever wanted. He must be protected at all costs.
• Huh. Tumblr gave me a veeerry different impression of what Darius was going to be like. Incoming plot twist?
• LUMITY IS A GO!
• Eda immediately destroying the stress toy because of her need for chaos whilst never once breaking eye contact with Bump nearly killed me. I choked on my tea. Worth it.
• Hunter has just learned the truth. Someone give this kid a hug.
• KING IS A TITAN?! How big is my sweet baby boy gonna get?
• Steve is so cool getting around in his Steve shirt, just doing Steve things. Haha, classic Steve.
• Luz and Amity just shared their first kiss and it was perfect. And I feel like the animation in that scene was extra nice? Maybe it was just me, but it just seemed beautifully bouncy.
• Once again, the near-silent end credits for part one of the finale haunt my soul. Part two now. Bring it on!
• ...Take it back. D:
• That musical montage to kick off Season 3 packed in SO MUCH STORY. Luz coming out as bi and introducing Amity to her mum was incredibly sweet. Vee (who I admit I was a little bit creeped out by until now) has captured my heart. And I absolutely adore the friendship between Gus and Hunter.
• "Time to go home, Flapjack." 😭 HAS THIS BOY NOT BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH?!
• Raine being hearteyes for Harpy Eda, Camila being hearteyes for King, everyone being hearteyes for Stringbean? Mood.
• Obsessed with Eda's haircut.
• My girl Willow has been carrying a lot. Her realising that she needs to let things out and lean on her friends was such a tender moment.
• Willow and Hunter linking their pinkies! ❤
• Not prepared for this amazing show to be over, but here we go...
• Brb, too busy crying.
• Still crying, gimme a minute.
• I was holding it together riiiight up until Flapjack's grave. "Thank you for finding me" broke me.
• Ok. So, generally speaking... this was pretty much everything I wanted in a finale. Happy, healthy relationships, hints at future pairings, redemption for characters who deserved it, and a big middle finger to those who didn't (which, honestly? Refreshing af).
• Eda and King going feral after losing Luz, the reveal of Titan Luz, and the trio coming together to defeat Belos was utter perfection. The animation was on point!
• I am not ashamed to admit I said "NOW EAT THIS, SUCKA!" with Luz.
• Also, the Dad bod, the "Bad Girl Coven" tshirt, and the "I loaf you" pun were exactly what I should've expected from King's dad.
• The time skip end credits were a wonderful way to let us see the characters we know and love, living their best lives. Hunter finally able to exist peacefully, making new palismans with his own little Bluejay on his shoulder (admittedly, I'd hoped he'd get a wolf, but the Bluejay did seem well-suited), Willow and Gus truly coming into their own, Lilith rocking the Harpy form (and hinting a possible romance with Steve?? EDIT: ignore that, I just learned that Lilith is aroace and I am so excited about it.), lil' gangly King growing bigger and stronger... well, I don't need to keep pointing things out. Suffice to say, there were so many little details that worked together to create a beautiful picture.
• In the span of three days, I've watched a show that so many people were obsessed with for years.
• I get it now.
• Thank you Dana Terrace and everybody involved with making The Owl House. The world needs more shows like this, with a great story, genuine characters, represention of people from all walks of life, and heartfelt messages.
• Excuse me while I go and wallow in misery over the fact that it's finished before I start consuming as many fanfics as I can find.
• OH! One final note as someone who learned far too much from tumblr before actually watching the show. I kept seeing fanart that seemed to depict a Hunter lookalike (so, Caleb) and an Eda lookalike, who apparently was Evelyn Clawthorne? CLAWTHORNE?? So here I am waiting for another flashback/memory episode that would lay it all out and do that big reveal BUT APPARENTLY THAT'S FANON??? Y'all had me thinking I'd missed an episode.

WELCOME BACK SPORTS FANS >:]
BOY OH BOY DEAR AUDIENCE. THINGS HAVE GOTTEN SERIOUS. It seems like we have crossed a line and on top of it, today is the so waited for flashback episode! How many will the contestant get today.
Welcome to episode 17:
The episode starts showing us the nice life our contestant used to have many years ago. The audience dares to hope nothing bad happens to a literal child but this is trigun and thats not allowed. He strikes 1 "action" point when he goes to the zero gravity cabin to cry alone thanks to steve. But wait! the little guy is overthinking: he gets 1 "yikes statement" point for suggesting that maybe rem doesnt love them, thats shes lying.
We get to enjoy a nice moment between vash and rem before the contestant goes back to gathering points. 1 "traumatizing event" for getting called a monster at a really young age (plus this will affect how he sees himself in the future).
He keeps moving along, until he sees a butterfly about to die. Before the audience can say anything he strikes 1 "traumatizing event" point cuz again, 1 year of life and he just saw his brother kill a spider. However, he also hits 1 "angry outburst" point for throwing knives to the ground and almost punching him.
Theres 10 minutes left, he has no time to loose. The contestant hits 1 "traumatizing event" for watching a man die in front of him. But he keeps going. HE MOVES QUICK AND DELIVERS A MULTIPLE HIT MOVE: He strikes 1 "traumatizing event" point because the ships aka the only home hes ever known is falling apart, another "traumatizing event" point because his mom sacrificed herself and died, 1 "yikes statement" point for calling out to her to come back even though she cant, 1 "sad outburst point" (the first of the season so far) whe neh fights knives, 1 "bad event" point for getting kicked to the ground.
AND JUST WHEN WE THINK HE HAS FINISHED FOR THE DAY, HE HITS THE AUDIENCE WITH 1 "ACTION" POINT FOR BEING SO READY FOR REVENGE.
The contestant has left everyone in the arena breathless once again. The contestant falls to his knees for a few seconds but then he stands up. Theres more to come tomorrow.
His efforts gave him today 12 points once again, raising his total to 134 points! He's almost tied with stampede vash!
How can this get sadder than it already is? Tune in tomorrow to find out :D

The Immediate Tutorial Process of “Cookie Run: Witch’s Castle”
⚙️ This tutorial is fresh off the printer unlike the others I’ve done before this one, so let’s get down to it under the context that you passed the DevPlay login page and downloaded everything. Spoilers are imminent, duh!
Enter Your Name
⚙️ This’ll be your username for the game, so make it a good one… or use the generator to get an idea for one.
Tumblr media
Level 1
⚙️ According to relevant sources, the Witch’s Castle used to house a whole coven of Witches and then some. In the opening sequences, this is where *this* iteration of GingerBrave is baked to wake up- once again- in a fiery hot oven on a scorching hot metal pan. This is where the tutorial begins.
Moves: 999 (it’s practically impossible to fail)
Chosen Cookie: 🍪 GingerBrave
Controls - Making Moves: Tap a jelly that’s part of a group of two or more jellies of matching colors to pop them and interact with various board gimmicks.
🎯 Objectives - Vials: Pop jellies next to these explosive potions to send them into an overarching enemy target. In this case, it’s the Oven Doors. 10-15 vials should clear the level, where GingerBrave gracelessly falls out the window after a scripted tap prompt.
Tumblr media

🎯 Objective - Spoiled Cookies: Practically undead Cookie heads. Pop Jellies next to them to clear them. In this level and most likely in future levels, they will appear in waves. For this level, there are 50 spoiled cookies spread across three waves. Clear them all to win!
Power Jellies: These jellies will appear in the tapped square after clearing large groups of jellies in one move. Tap them to activate them as is, or tap one when it’s next to another power jelly for a stronger effect. These jellies mimic similar power-ups in similar blockbusting puzzle games, where they’ll pop jellies, destroy obstacles, and interact with objectives.
Cookie Skills: Each Cookie has one. Tap the Cookie when the Energy gauge is full to enable it, then tap your target square on the board to activate it. In this tutorial, this feature is unlocked on the 3rd and final wave of spoiled Cookies, where this skill will clear them all.

Episode 1, Chapter 1
⚙️ After GingerBrave escapes, he finds himself in the Witch’s Castle where he finds a witch-lookalike Cookie who taunts him in his efforts to escape out the window in… an attitude that almost matches mine?! NO WAY! Better clear the way for this guy, since he just had a bad collision! Start with these two obstacles, which require two Golden Star Jellies to clear.
Resources - Golden Star Jellies: You’ll get another Star after clearing level 2. That’s right. *Another.* You got one for level 1 too. Use them to progress the story and unlock new features. In this case, you’re clearing obstacles… but not for long. Better get back to the board for more Stars! Some levels will award multiple stars… like level 3.

🎯 Objective - Wafers: These squares crumble once you pop jellies next to them. They are not affected by gravity if anything below them are cleared out from under them. In this level, there are 36 wafers in a 6x6 square. Clear all of them to win!
Bonus - Coin Bonuses & Level Completion: After clearing the level, power jellies are added to the board based on how many moves you have left. Afterwards, they all get detonated at once to pop jellies on the board to score some bonus coins on top of your base prize, tentatively being 160 Coins extra at most. More moves, more Coins! Each remaining move scores 10 Coins.
Rewards: 1+3 Golden Star Jellies, 50+160 Coins

Level 4
⚙️ Missing stairs? Get another Star. This level loosens the scripted restraints and lets you play the level as you want. Just clear the Wafers and move on already!
Moves: 38
🎯 Wafers: 49
Skills: Disabled
Chosen Cookie: 🍪 GingerBrave

So season 10 of Death Battle was bonkers...
so bonkers that I want to share my opinions on each and every episode (In one or a few sentences each)
Tumblr media
16: Killua vs Misaka [This was probably the middest episode to ever mid. So mid that my best buddy TJ has forgotten that it even exists on more than one occasion. 5/10
15: Darth Vader vs Obito Uchiha [neat choreography and somber ending, but the analysis and result just feel... "iffy" in a a way I can't describe. 6/10
14: Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer [While the Surfer's ending monologue was chillingly thought-provoking, this episode doesn't have much else going for it. 6.5/10
13: Dark Souls vs Skyrim [Neat and all, but I'd probably like it more if the animation was a tad less jank and all Fromsoft games didn't look the flippin' same. 7/10
12: Gojo vs Makima [This episode was pretty alright, at least if you're not a salty simp (Thankfully, I'm not) 7/10
11: Frieza vs Megatron [The fight was cool and all, but it is kind of ruined by the flonkered pacing. 7/10
10: Ant-Man vs Atom [It was neat seeing the combatants take the fight in a more "scientific" way with all their planning. 7.5/10
9: Cole McGrath vs Alex Mercer [One of the "Never gonna happen" princes finally becomes reality, and it was good. 7.5/10
8: Phoenix vs Raven [Cool and all, but can we pour one out for Jean? Not for her death to Raven, but her 16th death in the comics? 7.5/10
7: Galactus vs Unicron [The king of "Never gonna happen" and it was pretty grand and, dare I say, huge... );) 8/10
6: Guts vs Dimitri [Pretty sick and raw fight that made me respect Dimitri and the Blue Lions more, despite preffering the Black Eagles (Don't look at me, I just go with them because they have best girl) 8.5/10
5: Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon [The song lyrics were accurate, because I certainly had a blast watching this. As well as Rocket having a literal one (RIP Ice Cream Guy) 9/10
4: Rick Sanchez vs The Doctor [A-aw geez, guys! This episode was fantastic! WUBBA-LUBBA-DUB-DUB!! 9.5/10
3: Goku vs Superman (2023) [I guess it's true what they say; Third time IS the charm, because that was fucking INSANE! 10/10
2: Scooby-Doo vs Courage the Cowardly Dog [Zoinks! the peak levels are through the roof! 11/10
1: Bill Cipher vs Discord [Just as peak as Scooby vs Courage, but I love Gravity Falls more than I do Scooby-Doo, so I feel like I have to go with this. 11/10
And that's all of them! Will I be making one of these for season 11? I dunno. But I'm not sure if that season can top the peakness of this one. But until next year, we shall see...
XKA OBJBJYBO; OBXIFQV FP XK FIIRPFLK, QEB RKFSBOPB FP X ELILDOXJ, YRV DLIA! YVVVBBBBB!!!
-VLRO CXSLOFQB QOFMIB-BADBA ABJLK LC AOBXJP
As much as I love a good, rousing puzzle, I prefer to at least let people have something to go off of to begin with. Also, I want to stick it to that melodramatic isosceles who thought he could mess with my dear friend and her friends. So the key is to not get stabbed in the back. Or crushed by a falling cieling. So probably just to not be from Italy or Rome.
You're welcome!

The Mandalorian holding Grogu in his arms. Grogu is facing towards the viewer. The mountains of Tatooine are in the background. Image from The Mandalorian, Season 2, Episode 10, The Passenger. Calendar from DataWorks.
Grogu thought about the moment that Din Djarin had held him as they both watched the bandit who took the Mandalorian’s flight pack arc up into the air. Of course, a moment later, that same bandit was retrieved by Tatooine’s gravity well as soon as the Mandalorian instructed the flight pack to shut down.
Grogu always remembered that event. He was glad that it hadn’t happened to him. He didn’t weigh much, but hitting the ground still hurt, especially if you hit it after taking on some altitude. He was always grateful that his coverall tended to act a bit like a parachute and slow him down. It really helped when he forgot that he could use the Force that way.
Grogu hadn’t always known all the things he was able to do with the Force. He’d had to learn some of them through a rigorous training program. Others he just knew, but he had to practice them routinely to even remember that they were possible. The whole slowing down a fall thing was something he did instinctively until he went through a training class on that very subject. After he went through the training he’d learned a complicated, multifaceted method for having the Force act as kind of an anti-gravity force as well as a glide plane and a bunch of other things.
He found it very irritating when they would practice as a group and each of them would jump from a specified height, related to their own height, weight, and skill level to a nice pile of pillows on the training grounds. First, the height he was given to jump was way too short. It was only three or four times his height. Then, it was just a short ladder placed within the pillow pile, while the other trainees were up on the top of the physical fitness training apparatus. So they had to climb up to the height they wanted to jump from and they had to push out from it and spot their landing zone and all that. All Grogu had to do was hop up the steps of the ladder, one at a time, and then step off in any direction and not cry when he landed. It wasn’t challenging at all.
Then Master Drallig said that Grogu could join the other students if he could demonstrate the proper techniques from the ladder. Uff. That went about as poorly as anything ever had. Sometimes he’d land on his head. One time he’d hit the ground thirty meters away because he over estimated the arc he needed to use to land free and clear of the ladder. The final time he’d fallen up instead of down. In his defense the bird that flew at him while he was standing on the ladder had distracted him and instead of pushing against the fall he pushed against the ladder and found himself hovering about ten meters above the ground. Master Drallig was not amused. He said that Grogu would need private lessons and until such time as Master Drallig had that time available in his schedule, Grogu would use that period to time dedicated to the resistance training to help out the librarians instead.
Grogu had groaned at that assignment, but not louder than the librarians had when they were informed of his change of schedule. Grogu supposed he could understand their lack of enthusiasm for having him help them out. Typically when he went to the library Ian was with him. They were always being scolded about whispering, getting lost and leaving crumbs in the data packs. What else were two young men supposed to do? Sit quietly and read the histories of long dead civilizations? Uff.
So twice a week for the next six weeks Grogu was assigned to help the most junior librarian, Jedi Sasuu Ning. Grogu had never met the purple skinned Jedi from Mirial before that assignment. Given all the trouble about learning to fall properly, Grogu decided to just listen to his temporary master and do as she instructed. Fat lot of good that did him.
Grogu would trot after Sasuu Ning as they collected the various materials that needed to be returned to their proper places and just tried to keep up. It was like she had been told to give him a good work out. When they had collected the materials she would to the destination that was farthest away from the circulation desk and then they would begin ‘re-shelving’ items.
For her that meant running all over the library at a very fast speed, while Grogu put the one or two items for that particular location away. He could do it any way he wanted because she wasn’t there to instruct him, scold him, or even observe him. Normally he would have been pretty happy about that. But every time he returned to his regularly scheduled events, the other younglings would ask him all about his special assignment. Then he was forced to tell them that he had managed to re-shelve two data packs. Never more. Never less.
Finally, Master Drallig told him that he had time to do private lessons and that this would be Grogu’s last day of assisting the librarians. Grogu was pretty happy about that. Running marathons twice a week and re-shelving two data packs had not been as much fun as he had hoped it would be.
He reported to the library for his last scheduled session and found that Sasuu Ning was not there waiting for him. Grogu was puzzled by that, but the lead librarian informed him of her location and told Grogu to catch up with her. He had arrived at least one minute late and couldn’t expect the Jedi to wait for him. Grogu had nodded and set off. He found her sometime later and realized that he’d been tricked! Sasuu Ning had been having fun the entire time he was simply re-shelving two data packs. At least to Grogu it looked like fun.
She had placed a tall ladder in the center of the vaulted archive and carried all the data packs up with her. Then she took a data pack and leapt to the correct shelf, put it in it’s place and then leapt back to the ladder. She did that over and over again without ever falling. And while she certainly looked like she was concentrating while she worked with the Force, she was also grinning from ear to ear as she made each jump a little more complex and thrilling than the last.
Grogu didn’t want to call to her and distract her, so he decided to climb the ladder. It wasn’t just four or five times his height. No. It was fifteen meters tall. Climbing that was like running his normal marathon around the library so he managed to get to the top pretty quickly, all things considered.
Of course he hadn’t considered what would happen when she touched back down on the top step of the ladder with him standing there already. To say it had been surprising was an understatement. The force of her landing created enough of a deflection in the top step to cause it to act like a spring board and Grogu found himself arcing up, up, up and out, out, out from the ladder. Sasuu Ning did the same thing, but in the opposite direction because she had planned on going to another shelving unit.
Grogu was too surprised by it all to remember all the steps and techniques and methods that Master Drallig had been trying to teach him and instead simple let the Force guide him, as he had many times before when he and Ian were climbing the Life tree. To his great relief he managed to stick his landing and had just enough time to realize that Sasuu Ning was not going to be able to do the same thing!
So that is how Master Drallig had entered the main archive room in time to see Grogu land on the floor, throw the ladder in the other direction and steady it so Sasuu Ning could slide down the rails and land next to Grogu, as if that’s what they had been practicing the whole time Grogu was assigned to the library.
“Sasuu Ning it is clear that Grogu has learned much from you. My thanks. I was concerned that he would find arresting a fall too difficult. You must tell me your secret… another day.”
With that, Master Drallig turned and left the room.
“Any idea what he was talking about?” Sasuu Ning asked Grogu as the doors to the space slid shut.
Grogu considered her question for a mili-second and then shrugged. The only answer was that the Force was strange and mysterious and sometimes had a sense of humor.

Hey so I  just finished TAZ: Amnesty, and I have a lot to say about it!
to summarize: I really liked Amnesty, actually! If I were to rate both Balance and Amnesty on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being perfect, Balance would be 8, and Amnesty would be 9. Also, spoilers (of course!)
The Story - The Bureau of Balance vs. Amnesty Lodge and Sylvane
So the biggest reason I like Amnesty more than I liked Balance: the story, IMO is just way better and more interesting.
The pilot/pitch episode right after TAZ ended gave the series a serious Gravity Falls vibe (especially from that first season where it was episodic Monster stuff, it was almost exactly like “The McElroys Do Gravity Falls”), but there were definitely interesting tidbits (Duck’s entire character was excellent – more on that later), and as it went on and the world(s) were fleshed out, I think Griffin hit a really nice balance of ideas that were clearly based around existing concepts but with his own, interesting spin on everything.
Obviously, this point is imbalanced (pun intended) for Balance – A goofy DND 5E session with a pre-made campaign, turning into arguably the most popular Actual Play fiction podcast in recent history, vs. 5 years later when the creators set out to intentionally make a story-rich plot-driven epic – but I still feel it’s a valid point. I’m not relistening to Balance any time soon, if ever, because I just was not interested in the plot at all.
I like Taako, and I like the goofiness that occurs in TAZ, especially in the one-shots, but I just never got on-board with the story. It’s almost definitely personal preference, though, so if you enjoyed Balance’s story, I’m glad! But it just wasn’t interesting. The contrast of Justin/Travis/Clint doing their own thing and constantly killing people was a lot of fun and carried a lot of the episodes, especially later. Off the top of my head, I liked the following beats – the Davenport revelation, Taako’s entire story, and the Red Robe twist – but pretty much everything else bored me at best, actively annoyed me at worst (I DO NOT like Lup, see the NPC section).
But in Amnesty, I was constantly at the very least intrigued, if not enjoying the experience, and I generally had no issues with the story’s set-up or pay-off, at least until things got a bit… weird near the end.
Again, Balance was Griffin basically writing a story every episode, so I understand the story isn’t perfect, but Amnesty to me is the culmination of his talents as a fiction writer.
There was always a sense of intrigue, the setting and plot were both very well contained, nothing felt like it contrasted too much. The city of Kepler is a charming city, all the additions made over time such as H2-Woah That Was Fun had the goofy and odd spin that kept a nice flow between the comedy and the tragedy, and NPCs like Indred, Billy, Momma, and Minerva felt original, engaging, and appealing. Perfect marks all around from me.
At least, until the final arc, where things just kind of go a bit crazy. It seems like Griffin really can’t avoid wanting to do a Big Blow Out the Barn Every Loose End Tied Up Finale for his works, which isn’t inherently a bad thing, but came out of nowhere to me. The entire Aliens pitting Sylvane Citizens and Earth citizens against eachother in a Scorched Earth tactic to get rid of both populations makes sense but just comes completely out of nowhere to me. It does genuinely feel like Griffin heard Justin as Duck say “it’s aliens” and go “wait…. What if it was aliens?”, even though Sylvane had already been fleshed out a great deal, and there was a lot of potential and unexplored aspects of that world.
All that that being said, Amnesty’s story over-all is great, and while Balance’s characters work better for one-offs (as I’ve said before, the best Balance episodes are all the live one-offs – if you can ignore the audience losing their mind because Merle read what the spell he’s using does), Amnesty’s story feels more compete and full.

The Characters – or, the Excellence of Duck Newton
This is the biggest damnation I have against Balance – I didn’t like a majority of the plot-relevant characters. At all.
I’ll start with what I’m sure most people are interested of/mad at me for – as I mentioned earlier, I hate Lup.
I don’t care what anybody else says. To me, Lup is just transfem Taako. I have no issue with the LGBT rep in the series, and appreciate Lup being transfem, but it just felt weird that, so far into the story, Griffin introduced Taako’s sister, who was basically just Taako, and then formed a romantic relationship between her and Barry Bluejeans without really developing it at all. The umbrella plot point was good, but that could’ve been done with literally anything.
It’s nothing I’ll lose sleep over, I just…. Don’t like it! It didn’t add anything to the story to me. If Lup was gone, Taako and the plot would have barely been affected, at least IMO.
Taako is a great character, and Justin does a great job fleshing him out, making him feel real, fun, and creative. I’m not as big of a fan of Merle or Magnus (though I appreciate Travis’s commitment to Magnus’s core personality), but I still like them more than most any serious or important NPC outside of Davenport.
The one-off NPCs that show up for a single arc, and maybe make another appearance later for fanservice, are fun. Garfield is fine. The kid that helps Taako save the universe is fun. But It’s really hard for me to articulate why I dislike every other NPC outside of that clash between the goofiness and Real Play aspect and the Narrative-heavy Seriousness, and just not being interested by them.
Anyway, back to Amnesty – I enjoyed basically every single character.
The Player Characters – Duck Newton, Ned Chicane, and Aubrey Little – were, IMO, muuuuch better than the entire cast of Balance.
As a person that loves to rag on Travis, I actually didn’t mind his Aubrey – I’ve heard people take issue with her being bisexual and having a lot of Travis-isms, but to me, that’s almost kind of sweet – it’s like if Travis was a bisexual Pyromancer girl. Her personality felt solid, she was enjoyable, she didn’t do anything that made me feel like Travis was just pandering, he did a good job! Would’ve loved to see more of Dr. Harris Bonkers, but small potatoes.
Same with Ned Chicane – Contrasted against Merle, it’s no contest. I never liked the half-bit half-real thing where Merle’s entire gimmick is he’s bad at what he does. It’s not interesting, it’s annoying and creates this weird feedback loop where, if he does anything right, it apparently deserves a 5 minute applaud break or mocking by Justin. Those always grind the episode to a halt and they happen CONSTANTLY.
But in Amnesty, Clint does a GREAT job with his characters. I think Ned is very interesting and appealing – a Con-artist that’s genuinely kind of a shithead, who’s trying to do right but has let his past control him too much, and his death is one of the more powerful moments of the series to me. Now, maybe I missed an episode or something, but it  also felt very sudden, which wouldn’t be a bad thing if Aubrey didn’t literally bring another character back from the dead earlier in the series, but even so, it’s a fitting, melancholic end to a character that, in a way, had gone too far off the deep end. It was really well done.
After that Clint does an EVEN better job as Thacker. He was just excellent, I enjoyed every scene Thacker was in.
And, of course, the star of the show to me, Duck Newton.
Justin has proven that he’s easily one of the best, and funniest, actors and personalities on the internet, at least to me. Somehow, he went from Taako, a narcissistic, pacifist gay elf wizard, to a goofy forest ranger that’s awful at lying, and excelled at embodying both characters. Duck was my favorite character in Amnesty. He added so much to the levity, his bits with being awful at lying were always incredibly funny, he was just awesome. His story of being a Chosen one that doesn’t Want to be chosen was a bold choice, I loved his dynamic with Minerva and Beacon, everything was 10/10.
Getting to the Amnesty NPCs – Everything was great about them! I can’t think of a single NPC I took issue with or groaned whenever they started talking. They all contributed to the plot, they all had their own reasoning, and characters that didn’t get a lot of develop Griffin explained – the players just didn’t interact with them much, so it’s understandable, not necessarily a flaw.

The other stuff
So I don’t end up typing another 1000 words, I’ll just run through some other points that jump to my mind about Amnesty.
Didn’t like all the sudden relationships after the finale. Aubrey’s could’ve used a bit more developing, it felt like they crushed on eachother, halfway through they kissed, and then suddenly they’re dating at the end was bleh. Duck and Minerva make sense, but I don’t think it’s necessary to have EVERY character fall into a romantic relationship, especially after the same thing happened in Balance. They just seemed like unlikely allies, which was fine.
I really enjoyed the contrast in Actual play, how in TAZ it feels like every story is “These three overpowered doofuses cause chaos, kill whoever they want, and literally can’t die”, and then in Amnesty, “these three charming idiots can do nothing properly, and it’s insanely lucky that they even killed the abominations”.
I really like the music in Amnesty, the main theme is really charming, it sounds like a song off of an original trilogy Spyro game.
Monster of the Week seems like a fun TTRPG, but I don’t think it worked well for the story. It wasn’t bad enough to impact my experience, but…. It DID feel like Griffin had to do a LOT to make sure they didn’t die during every single abomination encounter (and hell, the PCs literally did NOTHING to stop that last abomination causing the final arc).
Conclusion
Amnesty is great. If you want a good story with a bit of actual play TTRPG charm, I’d recommend listening to it before Balance. Balance is a classic and will go down in TTRPG podcast history, but I think Amnesty is WAY more deserving of the adaptations and TTRPG game (it’s still fucking wild that Balance is getting that, by the way).
Thank you!

Questions 1 from part 1 and 2 from part 2 for the bobs burgers asks!
Part 1 Q1 - Favorite Belcher (and why)
Can I cheat and say all of them? Kidding, but it's hard for me to pick just one! I adore each of them for their own reasons.
But if I really were to pick just one, I'd have to go with Louise. I love her character development throughout the series and she stars in a lot of my favorite episodes. But she's also super fun when she's not the main focus as well! I've always enjoyed her since I first got into the series and I loved Kristen Schaal's work on Gravity Falls so that's likely another reason why.
Gene is a very close second though. Not only is he hilarious but a very interesting character to me which has been explored a little in some episodes, but I'd still love an episode that goes deeper and really explores his character on a more serious level much like how Tina and Louise have had.
Part 2 Q2 - What's your favorite episode and why?
Oh that's an even harder one, considering there's like 260+ episodes to choose from. Honestly I could name at least one favorite from each season.
I'm gonna go with The Laser-inth just because I rewatched it recently and I loveedd Bob and Gene in that episode <333 Bob was such a great and understanding dad (as always) and Gene was incredibly sweet too (and relatable, I can't stand loud noises paired with flashing bright lights either)
The subplot was also entertaining (I could also relate to Tina this episode, since I too have a phobia of dolls lmao) and the ending was also sweet too <3
Omg and the end credits scene was so cute!!! Bob and Gene playing air guitars together while the rest of the family is just enjoying the music (which is a banger, btw) <3 I can't say it's my favorite end credits scene, but it's definitely in like the top 10 probably.

Ducktales Rankings
So I realized that most of the things that I post or reblogged on here are about Rise of the TMNT and while I love that show to bits, I realized that I haven't talked nearly enough about my first love/obsession and that is Ducktales 2017.
Sadly as the show has been over for over a year now, I'm not into it as I used to be. Yet, I still read some fanfics and still love the characters, especially my boys: Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
I have decided to do a rankings list of the show. That being said, I haven't seen an episode in a while but my rankings are pretty much firmly in place. Also I won't rank every episode as that is too long so I am only doing the top 5 worst and top 5 best from every season and then taking those lists and doing a top 10 list of the whole show.
With that being said, let's Dew this!!!

Master List of Gay Cartoons
In honor of Pride month (and to help those who are suffering since Amphibia ended and The Owl House is on Hiatus), I decided to make a list of gay cartoons. Mainly because I realized younger members of fandoms might not be aware that these shows exist. Enjoy :)
The Legend of Korra (2012-2014)
Tumblr media
 4 Seasons
This is the show that started it all. Korra and Asami were the first canon gay couple in a kids cartoon. They became canon before gay marriage was even legal. Not much of their relationship is shown onscreen, but they paved the way for all that followed.
The show itself is great, especially seasons 3 and 4. Korra in particular has a great character arc, and like Avatar before it, it continues to have great worldbuilding and an epic magic system. It’s funny, it’s heartfelt, and the fight scenes are super cool.
Adventure Time (2010-2018)
Tumblr media
10 Seasons
I’ve never seen this show, but I have seen clips of Princess Bubblegum and Marceline and they are amazing.
All I know about this show is that it’s in a post apocalyptic universe, the vampire writes awesome songs, and it’s gay. After ten seasons. (Which by the way shout out to the fans who shipped Bubbline since the beginning your strength of will is incredible)
Gravity Falls (2012-2014)
Tumblr media
2 Seasons
This show is incredible. It’s funny, has a really fun animation style, cool creatures, and it’s the parent show to Owl House and Amphibia. The characters are great, the mysteries and codes will keep you guessing, and the villain is a triangle in a top hat. There’s two gay minor side characters and a main character (Wendy) was confirmed Bi offscreen.
Also, this show is a part of Disney’s pride collection, which is odd considering when it aired Disney was constantly censoring any of Alex Hirsch’s attempts at LGBTQ rep.
Steven Universe (2013-2020)
Tumblr media
5 Seasons, 1 movie, 1 sequel season
Both over-hyped and over-hated this show seriously did so much for gay representation. So many modern cartoons wouldn’t be able to exist without it. Practically every character is gay in some way. You’ve got a lesbian wedding, an ace character, multiple non-binary characters, and a main character who doesn’t give a shit about gender stereotypes.
It’s got lots of found family, gay pining, cool fight scenes, and amazing original songs. (Peace and Love on the Planet Earth is a bop) The characters and their relationships with each other are really complex. Season 1 is mostly fun filler episodes but after that, things start getting Intense.
Star Vs. the Forces of Evil (2015-2019)
Tumblr media
4 Seasons
I also haven’t seen this show. All I know is that there are gay characters, and the show is semi-well liked, and the girl is considered a war criminal for some reason?
Voltron Legendary Defender
Tumblr media
8 Seasons
I never finished this show, but what I watched was pretty good. There’s space, giant robots, and Pidge. One of the main characters is gay. (I also watched it after its prime and didn’t interact with the fandom, so I don’t really know what happened all I know is Shit Went Down.)
Ducktales (2017-2020)
Tumblr media
3 Seasons
Like Gravity Falls, this show doesn’t have much in the way of on-screen rep (two background characters and one character confirmed offscreen), but it’s a great show nonetheless. Also, Webby and Lena, although not canon, raise the gayness level by a heck of a lot.
It’s basically about a bunch of ducks going on adventures as a family. Its full of moments that will make you laugh, has a cool comic-style or animation, and gets surprisingly serious at times. It also has David Tennant as a Scottish duck and Catherine Tate as his nemesis.
She Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018-2020)
Tumblr media
5 Seasons
Everyone in this show is gay. I’m not kidding. The main characters are lesbians. The other main characters are Bi. Pretty sure the only straight one is the main villain. It also has the classic Childhood Friends to Enemies to Lovers.
As for the actual show, imagine a bunch of sparkly princesses, now add Star Wars, an evil cult, and then make it gay. That’s the show. There’s swordfights, robots, a character named Glimmer who likes blowing things up, a talking horse, Adora who is way too relatable, some war crimes, Catra who can never have a good day, Best Boy Bow, and they save the day with the power of love. It has everything you could want honestly.
The Dragon Prince (2018- Present)
Tumblr media
3 Seasons (with more on the way)
Most of the gay characters in this show are side characters, but they’re all amazing. You got the lesbian moms, the gay dads, the twink elf with glasses, and a badass general who’s probably gonna end up with this fire elf girl.
The first three seasons are great and the next one is hopefully coming out soon (It’s been a three-year hiatus. End me). It’s made by some of the same people who made Avatar. There’s a classic element based magic system, the animation is beautiful, and there’s dragons. The main couple is great and one of the main characters is voiced by Sokka.
Amphibia (2019-2022)
Tumblr media
3 Seasons
Most of the rep in this show is minor characters, but in the finale one of the main characters was confirmed Bi and two side characters got together.
This show has fun fantasy adventures with epic season finales. The worldbuilding is well done, the voice acting (especially Hop Pop) is excellent, and it never fails to make me laugh. There’s found family, childhood friends to enemies, and a whole lot of character growth throughout the show. Warning: this looks like a goofy frog show. You will cry. Many times.
this is also part of Disney’s pride collection which just proves that Sashannarcy is canon
Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts (2020)
Tumblr media
3 Seasons
This show is seriously underrated. One of the main characters (Benson) is gay with another gay side character and a non-binary background character.
It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where giant mutant animals have pretty much taken over. The soundtrack is awesome, the characters are fun, and the villains are really well written. It’s just all around a fun time.
The Owl House (2020-present)
Tumblr media
2 Seasons (shortened 3rd season upcoming)
This show man.
You have a bi main character dating a lesbian (the word girlfriend is used several times onscreen), and several other characters who are gay including a non-binary character and an Aro-Ace character.
It’s a fantasy show with a cool magic system. The animation (especially in some of the fight scenes) is incredible, the found family will warm your heart, the season finales will tear it out, and it’s just all around a great show. It will have you laughing one minute and sobbing the next. The characters are also well-written and complex. Especially in season 2, everyone gets their time to shine.
This show is also like half of Disney’s pride collection Which is odd when you consider the fact that it was cut short for “not fitting the Disney brand” but it’s fine. I’m not bitter.
Arcane (2021-present)
Tumblr media
1 Season (so far)
I can’t praise this show enough. It genuinely is one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen. It’s Greek Tragedy but done with stunning animation and a steampunk vibe. The writing and music are excellent, and every character feels so real. Also, lesbians.
(Side note: Unlike the other shows on this list, this is not a kids show, and it’s definitely not a happy show. If you’re bothered by blood or people being brutally killed, then don’t watch it.)
Honorable Mentions
Teen Titans (2003-2006)
This show doesn’t have any gay characters, but its a great show, and definitely caused some people’s gay awakenings
Avatar the Last Airbender (2005-2008)
The show isn’t gay but the it’s sequel is and it also just one of the best cartoons I’ve ever seen.
RWBY (2013-present)
The only reason this didn’t make the list is because I’m not sure if it counts as a Cartoon or an Anime. One of the main characters is canonically Bi, there’s a few gay side characters, and they are hinting at a gay relationship soon, but whether or not it will happen is still up in the air.
That’s about everything I could think of. If I missed anything please let me know so I can add it to the list (and watch it. I am out of gay cartoons to watch. help.) So yeah, enjoy and happy pride!

If Them's the Breaks, Kid has taught us anything, it's that bards aren't just musicians, they're performers. That includes acting and bluffing.
Also, "You know I can't stand an audience" hits quite differently now.

Chew on this:
Raeda initially broke up because Eda was lying to Raine about how the curse was affecting her and pushing them away in an attempt to protect them and not burden them.
Now fast forward to TtBK where Raine is concealing from (lying to) Eda the fact they're still working against Belos to protect her and not burden her.
The painful irony of it all.
Good night, everybody!

It seems that one way Alex Hirsch has been celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Gravity Falls is airing all his grievances with Disney's S&P and it's great.

My #1 post of 2022
It's actually quite remarkable how every episode that features Belos/Philip at any length has these small moments where it makes him seem almost sympathetic or have redeeming traits, then just makes him even worse.
This man is vile. Absolutely fascinating, but utterly vile.
He's an excellent villain.
