A weird thing happened, but I won't bore you with the details and head straight for the question:
Is it possible for a "lump" (possible tumor?) to just up and disappear?
(if more details/background are wanted I can add of course)
(I am in contact with a vet, but I haven't had the chance to specifically ask this in between instructions and other stuff)
Hello, it's Sueanoi here.
I can think of one possibility at the top of my head. Lumps that can disappear are usually inflammation swelling. Sometimes a clump of white blood cells can accumulate in such a way that it doesn't become an abscess that we can lance out. Once the cause of inflammation is gone, the swelling disappears.
I am not able to be sure that this is correct, but I hope that my guess is useful.

Ok. Looks like a Ghost took over my account there for a bit.
I guess I've been following the band a bit much on my other accounts that i can't help but enjoy others head cannons and fan art.
Anyways. Things have been slowly getting better, health wise. But slowly getting worse for my cat, Lily. My poor love is having major problems with her lip
Below is the image of the lip, along with my thoughts on death and burial. I put a break here incase people are triggered/hurt by such sights and musings. While sad, with an image that's difficult to look at, there's also love and life. So please. Be brave and read on.
I'd really like it if people do read everything and comment on it, or ask me questions despite it being a rough subject. Life is suffering and love. Funny that.
...
So. Yeah. Looks pretty bad doesn't it. Apparently it could be eosinophilic granuloma... Or cancer of course.
I hope it's the first one. As it's treatable. If not..... Yeah. My heart can't accept what has to happen. Not yet. It's too early. She's only 13.8 years old. A spring chicken!
.... Well. Not really. She's well and truely in the elderly phase of a cats life. A lot of cats don't pass 12 years, even 10 years old is considered a good innings for a cat.
I love that cats "domesticated" themselves. It makes me feel like they're as close to equal footing an animal can get to a human animal. Dogs? As lovable as they are, they were forced into servitude. Groomed, raised, bred into the "man's best friend" role.
Less if they're an outdoor primary cat... But that really depends on where in the world you live. Around my parts in a more rural part of the western world, a well looked after indoor/outdoor cat is pretty much on par with indoor only cats. But in other parts of the world, 10 is pretty damn good.. especially if the lovable companions of old don't have access to good vet care.
Cats? Sure we've raised them and indoor cats don't have a choice in the matter... But they're as "wild" as a companion can get. Indoor/outdoor cats are actively choosing to be with us. They can and do go live somewhere else if they're not happy with their original home. Dogs? You can beat them, mistreat them and abuse their love/trust... But they'll still come back to you, because there's what they've been bred to do. Imprint on a particular person/group and never leave. Which i find sad. 10,000 odd years of servitude really changes an animal. Cats only came and decided to live with us when we settled and started to farm. It started off as a mutually beneficial arrangement, then an active decision to be with humans.
Sorry. Got off topic. My cat was an indoor/outdoor cat in her youth. Nowadays she chooses to be an indoor cat and at most goes out into my poor excuse for a catio. It's very easy for a cat to get out. But she doesn't. Because there's no need. She has safety, food and other first world comforts (like aircon during summer/winter) here. She can always go outside into the "catio" to get her sun and grass. So for the past 5 years, She's an indoor cat.
Hell, they even meow the way they do because it makes us love them more and more willing to do their bidding. Which is pretty damn cool. Apparently it triggers the same parts of our brain that a baby's cry would.
My little Lily. My love, my heart. When she passes, I'll have her cremated. When i eventually pass I have left instructions that all the other animals i have the honour of looking after will be with me forever and will get mixed into my ashes.
Then we can be turned into a block/rock of cement with a plaque with each of our names and dates. I'll do a little epithet that I'll come up with at a later date. Probably interned somewhere nice and in the bushland. Eventually enough generations will go by that no one will even know we're there along with our huge plaque saying who this rock thing is. But i get a little kick out of the thought that one day in 1,000 years someone might find us and go "wtf". Heh.
So that's what's gonna happen with Lily. I'll always keep her with me and safe along with any other friends we have. Then I'll pass one day, with instructions in my will to make sure she and our friends will be together for as long as a rock can exist.
So yeah... That's my post of the day. It's sad. True. But i feel it's full of love and joy for life.

An Aging Update
So, I think I owe it to at least some of my friends to report on the results of all this doctor shit I’ve been doing. Here ’tis.
I have been dealing with an autoimmune skin condition known as Granuloma Annulare (GA) for at least a year and a half, more likely two years. I have been treating it with phototherapy for the past five months and it seems to be somewhat efficacious. Just when I thought…

Laser Hair Reduction | Dr. Kamil Al Rustom Skin & Laser Centre
Unwanted Hair is a concern for many people. Many dermatologists offer treatment for unwanted hair whereas one treatment option is laser hair reduction which reduces the amount of unwanted hair. A laser sends beams of light through the skin and as the heat from the laser light is absorbed, or soaked up, by the color in the hair. This heat destroys the hair follicle and makes it difficult for that hair to grow. Since hair grows in cycles, repeated treatments are necessary to destroy all hair follicles.
