okay so i have A Dilemma. THOUGHTS AND LAYERS

i spent literally an hour analyzing this trailer at 0.5 speed. this post is long af and these thoughts are in no particular order and are poorly organized:

-there's a big storm (which I think was already confirmed), and ed gets swept overboard by a bucket on a rope:

he then crawls up out of the water onto the beach

then goes into the forest, creates a hut, has a journey of healing and self-discovery, meets hornigold (or his ghost??)

and kills him thus killing the part of himself that he hated the most (his violence) as a parallel to stede finally getting rid of nigel's ghost by accepting and believing in himself

-in the stede/ed split screen, the stede shot is from the first ep of s2 right after stede finds the marooned crew at the end of ep 10 in s1 (you can tell bc his hair and clothes are still clean, there's no gay bandana around his neck, and that's his lil dinghy buttons is rowing)

-they go to shore and wind up at the merchants shop where "susan" overhears they're tracking down blackbeard

and she invites stede's crew onto her ship, cue the outfit change in the BTS photos:

-the way stede makes that little swishy turn in the red coat -

makes me think this may be first time he's been in fine clothes since his "death" and i hope we get a moment of him reflecting on how he gave up everything for ed only to have him hate him :( but then obviously realizing that ed is worth it and he'd do it all again in a heartbeat if it meant getting a chance at spending the rest of his life with him

-izzy and stede team up, and izzy is clearly training either himself or stede on the revenge (?)

soooooo many questions: what caused him to leave ed and join stede's crew? is he fighting with ed and is training to take him out or is he just done having his love be unrequited so he leaves and just so happens to stumble into stede? is izzy thinking that if he can't cut out the longing he has for ed he has to kill him instead so the pain will go away? what, pray tell, the fuck is going on in here on this day

-wee john in the mermaid costume (and olu in a bunny or donkey costume?):

a fuckery? or just a weird acid trip? OR IS IT THE TALENT SHOW THEY NEVER GOT TO HAVE??

-ed really does force everyone on his crew to wear war paint

-all the tally marks scratched into the walls - is that the number of days since stede bonnet broke ed's heart?

-ed in the forest in PEARL NECKLACE HELLOW????????

-the tear in ed's eye as he moves the cake toppers closer together which he also painted to make the lady look more like him he literlaly is in love wiht stede so bad wht the FUCJ

-ed's crew is murdering SO MANY PEOPLE at the wedding wtf (pic not included bc scary)

-delusional moment but i hope anne bonny on stede's lap is looking at calico jack off screen

-stede and ed are running towards each other on the black sand beach (thank you @sluterastede for pointing this out to me wtf!!!!!!)

which evolves my theory that ed in the forest goes through his healing journey and realizes he wants to openly love stede again but then the navy attack and stede just so happens to have found ed at the same time and they're fighting to get to each other and taking out everyone in their way (what if that was okracoke lmao)

-the swede and spanish jackie hooking up in the trailer

makes me think the bts shot of ed and jackie is them looking at stede and the swede, and ed being SO in love with stede obvi but jackie is watching the swede do some weirdly hot shit so she's gotta have him (what if they got married and he became her umpteenth husband in a drunken vegas-like shotgun wedding where she wakes up the next day to realize what has happened lmao)

-also this pic is DEF from the reunited/make up era bc ed's half-up hair, no makeup, soft eyes, and buttons' clothing. i am weeping

-stede in pain - is it an injury or a tattoo? or torture as @sluterastede posits?? he looks down at his lower body before screaming so maybe he knows what's about to happen to him??

-ed in the forest wearing the pearl necklace (see above), ed saying "fuck you stede bonnet" wearing the pearl necklace (see below)

but regardless of when he acquires it, does he take it bc he remembers stede said he wears fine things well???? and he starts to believe he may deserve them??

-side note about a LACK of something: ed isn't wearing the cravat at all in the trailer near as i can tell, and he's not wearing the pearl necklace when throwing knives at the wall (at least from what I can see, which is not much) which leads me to believe that scene is in the earlier part of the season

Q: what’s the show about?

A: it seems to follow five brothers (wiggly, nibbly, tinky, blinky, pokey) from a place called ‘drowsytown’, someplace supernatural and potentially in outer space? the show itself is humorous with an educational slant, and has some weird comedy that’s kind of out of place for the target audience. there was a sixth character, webby, but she seems to have dissapeared midway through the first season. it mainly aired at night and at other weird timeslots, only in hatchetfield, Michigan. Due to this it has a lot of hatchetfield-specific references.

Q: what’s with the letters?

A: blog’s haunted. in all seriousness, I have no idea. I can’t see them, but everyone else can. may lead to being taken by the big sniggle.

Q: is this a cult’s show?

A: not sure, but likely.

Q: ever since looking into this I keep having nightmares! Why?

A: no idea but it happens to me too. it’s probably fine.

Q: why am I in the show

A: if you live in hatchetfield, that seems to happen. It’s hopefully a weird coincidence. If you aren’t a nighthawk, what the fuck!

Q: was there merch?

He loved seeing Mac, mostly to see the baby girl. Drew's eyes widened, remembering that his sister's birthday was close. He turned to the kitchen looking at you, "hey it's April right?" he asked, y/n turning her head processing drew's question, checking the phone to see the date. "Yea April, wht happened?". "Mac's birthday's close" he said as liz's eyes widened at the realization. "Ohh, after two days. U planning anything for her?" She asked resting the fork on the side of the plate. Drew still had a thinking face, unsure on what to do. "What if......we suprise her by staying back at home for a few days" he had asked, waiting for y/n's response. "I'm down, it's so much fun going there" said y/n as it was always fun for her going back at drew's place meeting the family. She mostly spended her time with Brooke and Mackayla. "I'm convinced u just go there to see my family and not me" drew said with an amused smile. His family LOVED you. "They're kind and funny" you said shrugging with a smile as you got off the chair, moving towards the sink to wash your plate. "What about me?" He asked acting offended, walking towards y/n standing behind you, laying his head on your shoulder with his hands wrapped around your waist. "You're ok" said y/n jokingly, a smile spreading on your face that you couldn't hide. "Hey I was kind enough to not show anyone that glue photo of your's" Drew said referring to the photo he took one month ago of some thing you were working on which surprisingly ended up fine except the fact that your state after the end results was NOT great and drew had sneakily took a picture which u had specifically asked him to delete to not let anyone see. Y/n was confused for a sec until the sudden realization hit, a light gasp as you spoke up " I thought you deleted it" turning your head slightly as drew took it as a warning sign. "Aren't we supposed to go outside, gotta shower" he said kissing you on the cheek as he swiftly got out of the kitchen, leaving you, looking at him with a smug smile.

hm i don't think i have a solid answer to that but you see this is my second blog so i do have lots of experience and recognition from my first one which helps me in various ways. also i think writing for ot7 always helps in growing your account and long fics also help provided you write it well, i did long fics on my last one and it did help me grow my account. in addition to all that aesthetic of your post also matters and not just any aesthetic the kind of aesthetic that has been prevalent in tumblr if yk wht i mean. it also depends on luck, and sometimes you just gotta try hard and build it slowly. besides these i don't think i have any other advice!! tysm for loving my work🫶🏻

hello anon! first off love tht u came to me w this I feel like an official in the fandom now, but I digress.

anyways, here's a quick lesson of wht I kno for u, as well as how the answer varies due to the diff adaptations:

(keep in mind there has never been an official age stated for any of these, u just gotta use clues. also I dont use the term "proship" arnd here, but I get ur overall point)

for trigun max n the '98 anime, n based off of wht ive found/ heard, its gonna be safe to guess he's arnd his early to late twenties here, not rlly a chance of him being a teen at all, so there's a pointless argument right there.

here's where it gets interesting: trigun stampede.

im assuming this is where the most "discourse" comes from (n also where ur question originates from) considering the newest anime takes a huge left turn w his backstory n ovrall character, which is tht wolfwood was taken from the orphanage itself as a kid n experimented on until his physical body shed its "younger skin" so to speak, n was pushed into growing into an adult's instead.

so. yeah. easy to see how his age is the most disputed here. I have sifted thru many diff posts n speculations, n have basically come to this conclusion: no one has any fucking idea. it ranges from "he could still be 12 in an adult's body" to "he could actually be arnd 20 now", but again. p hard to decipher tht when u kinda have to get into the mental vs physical state of him also, bc how exactly do u factor in having ur body forcibly aged up while the rest of ur mind was forced to be "left behind" in a sense? did tht also speed up his mental age due to evrything he had to witness? hm.

so unfortunately my answer isnt gonna be completely satisfying bc truthfully imo, it could go either way. a few posts tht ive seen arnd have stated tht u can simply age him up if its more comfortable like the original series instead of sifting thru the nitty gritty details. u feel me?
