no seriously there's zero relation to grandmother raven, his wings were a gift from artemis. he needs to spend time around stars to be able to fly-- if he spends too long indoors/underground or in a world with permanent cloud cover they're basically useless

sometimes he does artemis's job when she's busy with beastmoon, and uses his brush to paint the night sky

in terms of biological age, he's the oldest of my wizards! technically not immortal but he does age MUCH slower than the average human.

he keeps his hood/mask down most of the time, only putting it up when he's going to be flying for a long time. it gets cold up there!

genuinely not trying to flex or anything but i have never understood how psmd is considered to be the hardest pmd game

#bwark #like the water continent's economy isn't in shambles like mist's is in gates so items are very affordable #especially when you sell the fresh apples and buy old ones from kecleon as your hunger item #oran berries are even more op than they already were. blast seeds got the biggest buff ever #tiny reviver seeds are plentiful and cheap and make the much more expensive full ones kinda useless for most of the game #this game was the debut of wands. unbelievably overpowered for how much they stack #some dungeons allow you to have up to 8 team members (before dx made this common) #you can have salamence dragonite all of team act and victini as early recruits #emeras (barrage) are very powerful (barrage) when you can find the right ones (barrage) #this game doesn't even have a proper ultimate dungeon #the hardest challenge i had on my previous 100% run were the post game bosses that had other forms to fight like mewtwo kyogre and groudon #and i don't mean any of this as a criticsm because idc that much it's just a take that ive seen a lot (especially when the game was released #) and i just never understood it even back then #i find the original rt harder because of jt lacking the qol of later games (and by later games i mean. the very next one. explorers) #and also gates. not because the gane is actually hard but because the heavily zoomed in camera and awful dungeon layout make dungeon #crawling in that game a goddamm nightmare

However, tome-searching ended up going even worse for Victor -- while he did find a book, it was a Tome of Delicioso -- a spell Victor very much already knows! So while Alice finished up her painting and took another nap, and Smiler parked themselves at the dining table to play some Ultimate Sports (aka Secretly FIFA) on their laptop, Victor tracked down Simeon in the "dorm" to try and butter him up for a potion recipe. Things SEEMED to be going well, with the pair getting along pretty smoothly --

And then Simeon just got up and walked away mid-conversation. And then did it AGAIN when I tried to have Victor chase him down. *grumbles* I decided I was done trying to talk to the Sages at that point and had Victor just fly off to Caster's Alley to see what was on sale there. Fortunately, he struck gold at the tome shop -- a tome for the Potion of Emotional Stability AND for that of the Nimble Mind! Victor purchased both, then checked out the broom shop and the potion ingredients shop -- nothing he particularly wanted at the broom place, but the potion shop had a spotted heart frog, so I had him pick up that. Even if he can't use it, it'll be a nice addition to Smiler's collection! He celebrated his victory in finding SOMETHING to bring home by Deliciosoing up a nice rack of lamb, yum. :)

Meanwhile, Alice awoke from her nap with a bit of a need to pee -- and as the house was a fair bit away, I decided to have her transform into her beast form and just, uh, mark her territory. XD She grabbed her painting and her easel, then kept trying to go on the hunt while I kept going "no, you can wait until we get home." Smiler was much easier to keep track of, happily, just playing their game and chatting to the visiting Minerva. I was GOING to let them finish their Ultimate Sports match before they all went home --

And then I saw Victor sleeping on the bench he'd had his dinner on. Welp, time to pack up that laptop and get back to the farm!
