rory was stuck doing supply inventory for most of her night shift. as the night droned on, she counts each dressing packet, each box of masks, gloves, every quantity of medical supply on hand. it’s a tedious task, that requires a lot of focus, dedication, and caffeine. oh she’d kill for some caffeine right now. but if she leaves now, she loses count of what she’s done with and what she still has to do. four more hours. 

knock knock. 

rory turns around, and the sleepiness disappears when she realizes carmen is standing at the closet’s door with coffee. her mind is slow to catch up, so slow she doesn’t even say anything before carmen’s lips are on hers and her hand catches the dip of rory’s waist. finally, a giddy hum presses against carmen’s lips as rory’s hand cradles the side of her neck.   thank god she was chewing that mint gum earlier.    her lips draw up into a grin when she pulls away, the world around her seems to have slowed down. whether it was by effect of lightheadedness from the exceptionally excellent kiss, or the fact that rory’s been awake for over twenty-four hours, rory doesn’t know.

01|05|22| Project Statement

This semester was dedicated to learning some basic foundational animation work and I enjoyed every bit of it.

I've been having a lovely time these last 5 weeks. From getting to know new people to team building activities and to Fota island, I think there was at something for everybody this semester.

My favourite project to have worked on this semester mustve been the animated poster. There was something about the process of finding a poster and brainstorming ideas then leading to the puzzle filled activity of actually bringing the piece to life, that really instilled a confidence of what I can actually achieve in the medium with enough patience.

I'd pick a least favorite but it wouldnt do justice to how much fun I had in the several areas we worked in, everything had something to like.

I know next year wont be as "easy" but I'm really hoping I can keep up the confidence and enjoyment I carried throughout this semester into the future.
