BNHA AU Ideas: Power Transfer

TL;DR: 

One for all is a power that has been passed down for generations. Turns out the most recent generation can afford to be a whole lot more liberal with his sharing. Also turns out sharing quirks runs in the family.

An AU where Izuku can share OFA full cowling with multiple people at once.

izuku giving aizawa 5% of one for all durring the usj or izuku giving toshinori 99% of OFA durring the last fight

cause consider the world never finding out about small might, all might retires but izuku knows

the rescue team all having the max amount of ofa they can use, which is around 2% each, cause a lil sparking team of heroes

izuku using kirishima to give bakugo some too n them using it to get away

izuku having two quirks is my favourite goddamn thing bc him being able to share his quirk but not having anything to share is great

he gives bits to allmight, like a constant 1% so he can teach classes and do press stuff

some rando wants to do an "all might" where is he now segment and it spans a good few months so izuku is continuously in the background just

conspiracy theory starts that izuku is a villain or allmights son

a villain and all might's son

izuku has no double toe joint but the doc cant find any evidence of a quirk? so he tells them izuku is either quirkless or has an invisible quirk. something subtle, or specific enough to have not activated by now

bakugo kinda,, is chill with izuku. he was waiting for izuku to develop a quirk till he judged him, but he never did so he kinda withheld judgement long enough for them to become decent friends

anyway, izuku likes to ramble about different things his quirk could technically be, bakugo likes to join in. they can go at this for h o u r s cackling about stupid hypotheticals

they workout together, they both do boxing and try out random moves they see on the internet on each other. they have a pile of gym mats in the woods like the weirdos they are

bakugo is like,, convinced izuku's quirk is actually an intellect up but he just shrugs

izuku has to grab something before he heads home so he takes the underpass and we get basically episode 1 from there. all might says no, the villain gets away, attacks Bakugo. izuku runs in, throws dust in the villain's eyes and pulls at bakugo's hands. all might jumps in, saves the day yada yada

some background for u about all might bc his past is a touch different here. during the battle with afo, afo was distracted. all might sustained the same injures but won more easily.

night eye never looks into his future because "my purpose is done, nighteye. let's live like everyone else, no fate of the world on our shoulders" he never looks into all mights future again at his request

they stay together

so instead of the big argument they go get ramen and get drunk because they don't have to be superhuman anymore, they can relax now

back to the main timeline-

so izuku is already fit, cleans the beach in 8 months, nighteye supervises

all might gives izuku the quirk 2 months before the entrance exam, nighteye is there to "oversee" (he wants to see izuku choke on a hair and laugh at this kid hes become pretty fond of)

also mirio! is izuku's bro because i love he

izuku eats the hair and gets the quirk like, instantly which?? is confusing nighteye and all might. nighteye has like,,, hidden behind a car because hes the only person with self-preservation

allmight touches izuku and the lightning climbs up his arm and he just pOofs out into swolmight. hes ShooK, so is izuku

anyway, he manages to turn it off and izuku is just standing there like "oh my god what the fuck"

"nighteye come over here."

nighteye is forcibly given a little of ofa and regrets a lot of stuff

anyway, izuku breaks an arm trying to use ofa and hes muttering trying to work out how to use it, nighteye basically says "well, think back to how ofa came about" and izuku is like ",,, what"

and nighteye screams because TOSHI YOU DIDNT TELL HIM?????? and allmight ",,, o o p s"

so izuku gets to hear the story of all for one while hes being driven to UA for recovery girl hes,,, really quiet for a second

"when did you fight him?"

"six years ago, april?"

",,, this has to be a coincidence"

hisashi went out on a "business trip" 6 years ago and they haven't seen him since. he calls, but hes never visited and izuku has this terrible feeling

because izuku cant calm down and because nighteye thinks this kid might be on to something they call tsukauchi and he agrees to meet them at UA

izuku gets treated, naomasa is in v quickly afterwards before he calls his dad he turns to nighteye, allmight and Naomasa

"i've never been able to lie to my dad. i thought he was just really good at reading me but,,"

"if hes afo he might have a quirk"

"yeah. so i'll just twist the truth. im good at that, but thats all i'll be able to do"

anyway, he calls up his dad and slaps this big grin on his face. the phone is on speaker

"hey dad!!!!" "izuku! is something wrong?"

"oi, cant i call my dad for no reason?"

"you, willingly calling someone? dont make me laugh"

izuku giggles despite himself

"anyway, you'll never guess!!"

"did youuuu,,,, hmmmm, meet all might?"

they freeze but izuku just laughs

"yeah,, but thats not the most exciting thing!!! my quirk came in finally"

"oh?"

"yeah! imagine the worlds most basic power enhancer, but i can share the energy! you have any idea where that could have come from?"

"no! i can't think of anyone in our family with a quirk like that! sounds crazy!"

naomasa looks grin, and mouths "liar"

izuku pales but keeps his smile

"do you think you could visit, id love to show you!! oh, maybe we could test it together! you always had the best ideas for my quirk notes"

"id love to izuku, but im stuck in america for the near future, you know it is. i'll see what i can do tho, ok champ?"

naomasa shakes his head again "lying" izuku looks like hes going to be sick. nighteye is pale, all might looks stunned. izuku grits his teeth but his voice is still light and happy

"i'm gonna make it into UA so you can watch me kick butt from america! you better cheer me on!"

"im looking forward to it. say hi to your mother from me."

naomasa nods. hes telling the truth. that makes nighteye feel the sickest

izuku hangs up the phone and retches into the bin. nighteye is shaking. all might storms out. naomasa punches the wall

izuku looks up with tears in his eyes

",,, does my mum know?"

izuku tells katuski that his quirk finally came in! but,,, in the worlds biggest mess of a way

basically hes lying in bed, trying to work out why he can't use it without breaking bones but the people he shares it with can, he bolts upright

"POWER MODULATION OH MY GOD"

he runs out his door all the way to bakugos house and climbs in through his window, grabbing a sleeping bakugo by the shoulders

"KACCHAN ITS POWER MODULATION"

"my quirk!!! i was breaking bones because i wasnt modulating it!!!"

izuku doesnt tell him its ofa but he explains his quirk has finally showed up, bakugo asks him if hes registered it yet

izuku, w the most shit-eating grin, explains that you only legaly have to register your quirk when it shows up, or after you are tested when you are five, whichever happens first so, legally, he doesnt need to register because it would be seen as voluntary updating

cut to the enterance exam

aizawa is holding the papers for the kids hes observing right then

"quirkless? that kid doesn't look quirkless"

and yagi sighs

"of course he didnt,,,"

"all might? do you know him?"

basically, quirk test? shinsou is s w e a t i n g bakugo looks a little worried for his new friend but no one would notice if they weren’t izuku

shinsou turns to him like "my quirk is mental im going to fa I L"

izuku grabs his hand and he feels this rush of energy, you can almost see it dancing along his skin. izuku grins

"i think you'll find you do just fine"

(izuku gave him like,, less than a full 1% but hes like doubled in strength and speed and hes??? shook?? bc whats happening)

aizawa is lost bc shinso has a mental quirk he shouldnt be doing this well, so he tries to cancel it

nothing happens and aizawa is so lost??? bc shinsou is kinda reedy and not super fit but hes placing solidly in the middle

and he noticing that shinso’s eyes seem to be glowing and so are they eyes of the kid coming in second and gives a big "hm,mmmm"

anyway, ball pitch, he cancels izukus quirk and turns to look at shinso, his eyes are dim. izuku looks sheepish but also like hes ready to throw down and its an interesting look

aizawa just sighs "you know what? just throw the ball."

izuku g r i n s and yeets it into next year using more of his quirk than he like,, really should have? to prove a point (his finger is bruised, not broken. he used 25%)

anyway aizawa shows the results, shinso is in the middle, izuku second, hagakure is last and sadly shes not getting expelled bc plot reasons – im sorry I have a thing against her shes perfectly valid probably im just still convinced shes the traitor even tho its totally a teacher

he calls izuku out on it but does admit he didnt say you couldnt help eachother, so its kind on him. shinso looks like hes going to pass out with relief

Hagekure is the traitor in this au though, 100%

during the camp she is at the pick up zone, hiding. izuku pulls bakugo out of the way, they all seem safe

but

she pushes izuku in through the portal as it closes

fyi afo takes her quirk and leaves her braindead in the nomu factory bc shes not useful anymore. also because now he needs to have a really awkward conversation with his son he was hoping to avoid

also usj? is really melodramatic

he gives aizawa 4% which is the max nighteye could hold without it hurting

aizawa takes a hit from the nomu and he reaches out his hand

izuku cries as he gives him an extra 4% and aizawa gets free but he can see bruises forming with every step his teacher takes

oh, I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on 3.5e vs. 5e! I've only played 5e, but heard people rave about 3.5???????

Okay, before I answer this I should clarify: I only played 3.5e for about 75 minutes tonight. I did learn to play D&D using 3rd edition, and I might? have played 3.5e in college, but I really don’t remember. 3.5e came out in the midst of when I was playing, but I think most of the people I played with knew 3rd edition best, so we stuck with that. (But then to also caveat that, I’m chatting with one of my HS friends that I still play with, and he said we really ignored a lot of the 3rd edition rules back then because there were so many... so we really didn’t even play it right)

ANYWAYS.

I started playing 5e several years ago and I’ve honestly never looked back. I adore it. It feels so much more streamlined. It’s simple and straightforward, which allows for more focus on roleplay and less focus on math. And my character sheet is easier to read. (technically that could come down to the design of the character sheet, but I think there’s just fewer equations all over the place in 5e, which helps it look cleaner)

I think, all in all, that 3.5 felt more limiting. Allegedly, the people I were playing with said it meant that you could also do more with it, that there were more options or whatever, but I think that might just be because it’s been around longer. And personally I’m not interested in fiddling and min/maxing my stats, I just want to play! If my character isn’t perfect, great. I’d love to fail some skill checks and face the consequences, especially if they’re gonna be hilarious or dramatic and make the story more interesting.

When I first started playing 5e, I was bummed about the fewer skill sets, but now that I’ve been playing it awhile, I think the restructuring of those makes more sense. In 3/3.5, there are a lot of very esoteric skill sets, which you’ll either absolutely need or never use, and it comes down to what the DM is doing. A bit of a gamble when you have to allocate skill points and you might be wasting them. For example, there are Appraise, Escape Artist, Gather Information, like 5 different versions of the Knowledge skill, like Knowledge (Religion), Knowledge (History), etc.

Whereas in 5e, the skills are fewer/broad enough that you can probably figure out which one to use given whatever you’re trying to do and you’re less likely to pick a skill that your DM ends up totally ignoring.

Then there’s like, Attack Bonuses. In 5e, you just have your proficiency bonus, but in 3/3.5, you’ll have bonuses for every little thing, attack, each save, skill points, etc, that all go up at different rates. 

Other things I noticed specifically about tonight is that: the spell “Bless” is not as good, and in 3.5, you have to allocate every spell slot. So: if you get 5 spells at level 1, you need to say you’re taking 3 Bless, 1 Shield of Faith, 1 Light of Lunia, rather than just picking your list of spells and using however many you want of each until you max out your spell slots. [Edited to Add: when I commented that “bless” wasn’t as good, my DM said something about how it really is better bc it stacks with other things as the day goes on or something, I didn’t understand what he meant and it just sounded too tedious to me.]

That’s about my limit with what happened tonight -- we didn’t play long, so not a lot came up. 

But the rest of the people in this campaign have been playing for 35 weeks, and I play with some of them in my Tomb of Annihilation campaign and my Saltmarsh campaign, and all I ever hear are stories of how bad things go for them. They only heal 1 HP per long rest. They’re level 4 and two characters have died already. It seems like it’s much harder to do anything or get anything done. Seems like they’re kinda excited to be done with 3.5 and get back to playing 5e.

That’s just my two cents. In the end it probably comes down to what you’re used to and the kind of game you want to play.

Where an impromptu psudo-dnd style dice rp game starts with shoulder bumps and ends with Sammy Lawrence saving the forest & everyone in it.

So today I think I played an impromptu psudo-dnd style dice rp game with my siblings. It started out with me and one of my 17 yr old sibs just goofing around with the dice and bumping each other’s shoulder. Like, she’d roll to “attack” (bump/if she was able to “bump” me) and then I’d roll either effectiveness (how much damage I took if it was a low number) or Counter/deflect (to lessen the damage). If I did a counter, then she’d roll for how much damage she got and I’d be able to be the one attacking. 

Eventually, we both rolled 1′s for attacking/counter-attacking and agreed that we both ended the fight by papping each other gently on the cheek.

Then, with that same logic, we started rping two characters where each character had a special characteristic (like “Intimidation” for undead & villainous chars, “Courage” for human characters, etc.), an optional “body effect”, and like, 2 special abilities max. 

As we were doing this, my two little sibs (who are 5 & 8 yrs old) wanted to join it. the 8yr old joined in as a shapeshifting shadow cat named Shadow, and the 5yr old flipped between being Agent Otto from Oddsquad & Sammy Lawrence (bc he saw some fan art of Sammy while I was looking for something and took a real shine to him.) We got him to stick with Sammy and what ensued is probably the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.

See, at first, it was just my OC, Bonely and the 17yr old’s human oc. Boney scared the kid nearly to death and managed to tell a super effective joke that allowed the kid to successfully run away instead of being paralyzed with fear. Bonely pursued (bc heck this kid doesn't seem ok and probs needs help) and only made things worse by scaring the kid more (failing to convince him he's not gonna hurt him) and getting lost. (I legit rolled a one on the action "Try to find oc").

After that, the kids joined in and all our characters were lost in a forest. Mine accidentally set it on fire trying to build a campfire to warm himself up. This led to a whole thing of shenanigans where Bonely tried to put out the fire and ended up getting caught on fire himself and running through the forest, Shadow insisted on finding a stream and transforming into a walking bucket in order to put out the fire, Sammy trying and failing to put the fire out with his ink (via “ink blast” as the 5yr old put it), and the 17yr old’s oc being blinded & covered in ink bc the 5yr old kept rolling a 1.

Next, the 17yr old’s Oc (I can’t remember it’s name) was blindly stumbling through the forest, his counterpart (another char the 17yr old had earlier) had successfully called for help, Shadow had found Bonely and put him out with water,  & Sammy went looking for the Stream Shadow found, found the lake it went to, and promptly saved the forest by absorbing the water and spraying the whole forest. (the 5yr old rolled a friggin’ 6 so of course his “suck up the water & use ink blast to put out the fire” was super effective. XP)

By the end of it, most of the characters were kind of stranded where they were until the 5yr old said he wanted Sammy to “Gather all his friends and throw a party for saving the forest” and rolled another 6. The 17yr old and I both concluded that this super effective move resulted in all the ink Sammy sprayed turning into friendly Searchers who promptly found all the characters & brought them to the lake where everyone had fun at the party and were restored to perfect health. 

So yeah, through an impromptu dnd-esque minigame, Sammy became a hero by saving the forest with his ink.

I was laughing so hard by the end of this, I’m surprised I didn’t go into a coughing fit.

yol ive been more scared by the idea of my parent having a gun than not for a long time (guns just scare me SO MUCH!!) but lately im so scared when they leave the house... 

on the one hand i think when u have a gun that really ups that chances that yk, a gun will be brought into a conflict, and im afraid if they are carrying it and for some reason there are cops that something bad will happen that wouldn’t have otherwise (not that cops need u to have an actual gun). im scared that they will have to use it and end up in prison or dead (from cops if not original attacker--if original attacker isnt cops)

but ... i also think if someone was gonna do that kind of violence to them, if they were gonna die that way or be permanently severely disabled by it (NOT = death; still = serious life altering consequences for both of us) id hope they could at least take them down with them tbh !!! my grief for them and the inevitable lack of justice would have some small thing to grasp, or i hope so, if that ever happened. 

out in the world the harassment and violence can be anti-Native or anti-Mexican depending on how the bigot sees them, as well as for being obviously and proudly nb/gnc/and queer/gay. so i worry about all of those things, and the fact that we discovered last summer trying to do a little vacationing that having white/-looking people around (such as me) isn’t even as much protection anymore

and i used to add on “even in portland” to a statement like this, not bc portland isn’t very racist and very white, but it is just as bad as anywhere it just has this liberal sheen that makes it seem like even if the racism is still there at least it’s not like, “The South” or something... that MAX attack makes me think that liberal sheen is covering up even more than we already knew. like liberals are racist as hell but they aren’t the ones to literally try to murder you in your home or in the street yk?

anyway i know they have been dealing with all these dangers for over 5 decades and can take care of themselves... this helps to remember, but also i think if someone with that experience is saying they want a gun for self defense i need to get over my anxieties about it even if i really hate the idea of a gun in the household

Why the WATGBS manga was disappointing

(im gonna use capitalization and punctuation, not like my usual typing style, bc i think it looks better)

Did you know there was a WATGBS manga? I’m sure many have known, but for the ones who haven't’, it’s true! And damn, did it hype the shit out of everyone. On August 13th 2015, Funamusea / DSP officially started work on the Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea manga. It had promise! Funamusea was already a pretty well loved creator. Well, at least their work was well loved. We can point out that other stuff later, though. Their games got popular and a good following, spawning a big fandom with art, fanfics, and even blogs dedicated to them! Wink wink.

Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea was one of those games, coming out December 12th 2013. So we do have a good couple years of hype already built for this beloved game. With the fandom growing and fans wanting more and more content...the next step was pretty obvious. This couple come with better art, and hell, maybe some fresh story telling! Answers to things we want! Characters seen more and more! Funamusea is no stranger to mangas. They have another one, Obsolete Dream, which has a good following as well! Same with small comics on the side for their other works. So, this was promising. Everyone was so excited!

Now...excuse my language, but...

WHAT THE FUCK WENT WRONG.

Before I delve into this shitshow, first I want to get some stuff outta the way:

I am no way a professional reviewer or whatever. I’m simply a fan who has been interested in WATGBS since 2014, around when it was translated into English. WATGBS was my very first game into the fandom, and has a lot of importance to me. I’m just sharing my opinion on this matter.

Spoilers are ahead for the game and manga. So, be careful!

Again, please keep in mind that I’m not saying I’m absolutely right about my analysis here. Did I say something wrong? You can correct me. Did I leave something out? You can correct me! I want to hear your opinions as well!

With this said, lets start with at least an overview of the games plot, shall we?

Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea has a simple plot that isn’t too hard to follow. To be honestly I actually started on a very, very long winded and detailed overview...then I started resorting to going onto a walkthrough.

Here’s the video if you want to watch. It’s...6 hours long, but you can easily just jump around.

TL;DR? I’ll try to make a small version for you

Wadanohara is a sea witch who lives in the Sea Kingdom with her familiars; Fukami, Memoca, and Dolphi. Samekichi was a familiar of hers who apparently became a traitor and now tells her to leave the sea for some unknown reason.

She goes to Princess Uomi who wants her to restore the moonstones, which keep a barrier around the Sea Kingdom to protect it after there was a war with the Sea of Death. The Sea of Death war was between Uomi and her sister, Mikotsu, who was angry that she wasn’t chosen to be princess. Meikai, Wadanohara’s father, was the Great Sorcerer who sacrificed himself to seal the Sea of Death away, becoming the Cast Pearl. The moonstones need restored because the other kingdom, the Tosatsu Kingdom, is apparently mad at them for some unknown reason and keep sending in troops to hurt and/or kill. And, the moonstones where broken for an unknown reason.

After restoring the moonstones (with a ring Sal gave you, this will be important later) Wadanohara comes back and has a party thrown for her. Everything seems fine, then Wadanohara runs into Laurentia, a demon who was hired by the Tosatsu Kingdom. They break the barrier and shit goes down.

Princess Tosatsu has her army completely take over the place and starts a war. Wadanohara rushes to the castle to protect Uomi, while also running into the Merc Trio (Laurentia, Ver Million, and Vendetto) along the way, and when she get’s there it’s too late. Tosatsu is already there and ready to kill Uomi. But then, Uomi somehow calms her down and they hug it out. It’s super cute? It’s adorable.

Then we know why Princess Tosatsu was so angry. Apparently, the kingdom was killing her subjects and left a note to antagonize Tosatsu. But, no one ever knew of this. Wadanohara suddenly starts seeing red and runs outside to Tatsumiya.

Then, the cast pearl shatters.

Hey surprise surprise, Sal is the traitor all along!! And Samekichi was trying to protect you in the most emo way he can. After all that, the Sea of Death comes and...

You know.

This doesn’t even matter when it comes to the manga. You know why?

It was canceled before we even get past the part where Princess Tosatsu and Princess Uomi make up.

Yup.

The manga was officially canceled by 12 chapters. But here’s the kicker. How do you fit all of THAT up there into just 12 chapters? Simple! You dumb everything down. You take out the padding needed for the game, so the manga isn’t so long drawn out and gets to the good stuff.

Which, that’s not a problem. Writing down a story and playing a game is different. In a game, so much padding out and being somewhat slow for gameplay is going to happen. It’s not a game without gameplay. Even if the gameplay is going isle to isle to fix every moonstone on there.  In a manga, you can’t exactly convey the same feeling as a game feeling. You are going to have to rewrite! But, Funamusea made some mistakes here and there.

They’ve taken out characters. Miyura, Seguro, Minero, Creamil, Rimorimo, Tomoshibi, Laurentia, Ver Million, Vendetto, not even Cherryblod or Doloz show up in the manga at all! This has some ups and downs to it.

Ups: Minero and her crew are honestly not really involved in the story. Same with Miyura and Seguro. Cherryblod and Doloz did have some involvement in the game, but it was very small and not needed in a written story.

Downs: The Merc Trio WAS important! They where actually VERY fucking important! And even though the others aren’t important to the plot, they’re already characters in the lore! They should have at least been shown to exist in the manga. Irena and Aom where shown...but, they’re background characters too! Aom only spoke a small handful of times! Why do they get special treatment?

Back to the answer to my question though...dumbing everything down. Funamusea fucked this up. VERY badly. 

Princess Tosatsu was the most useless villain in the manga.

She was! And here’s how.

By chapter 5, this is when you first hear about the Tosatsu Kingdom threat. They’re attacking the kingdom for unknown reasons, and even fight Wadanohara and her gang! You finally get to see this in action by chapter 6. You see a huge crown of Tosatsu Soldiers attacking and being wiped away by...Samekichi. Not Wadanohara.

Some rewrites are fine here and there, and this is an okay rewrite. Right when Wadanohara leaves the castle in the end of chapter 5, chapter 6 instantly starts with them attacking. Samekichi appears and helps them by protecting Wadanohara from a hoard of buns. We get to see how Samekichi seems to resent Wadanoahara...but his true feelings are masked away. It’s a good rewrite that I personally see no issues with.

BUT! Back to Princess Tosatsu being a terrible villain in the manga.

So a couple chapters pass. Wadanohara goes out to restore the moonstones and that’s pretty much all that goes on. I mean...in one of the chapters Fukami beats the shit out of Samekichi. It does show that Fukami cares a LOT of Wadanohara though..so it at least has a reason to be there. By chapter 9, we’re already at the part where they celebrate the moonstones being fixed. I didn’t exactly skip much...

And, by the end of chapter 9, Wadanoahra leaves the party to see Samekichi. The cast pearl shines brightly suddenly and Samekichi runs up to the surface. Wadanohara follows and is impaled by a Tosatsu soldier spear... Where originally Laurentia was supposed to appear.

Now things get not only weird with the rewriting, but it’s EXTREMELY RUSHED.

Chapter 10 has Wadanoahara waking up, going to where Fukami and Dolphi are fighting soldiers, and Princess Tosatsu shows up. There’s only a small build up for her appearance, for being hinted of in chapter 5 and 7, but it’s a pretty interesting reveal. Suddenly, a new and menacing character just appears before Wadanohara. Having someone else unkown with her (Being Hofuru), they suddenly just disappear as more soldiers surround the gang, ending the chapter...

It’s honestly super cool! You don’t know much other than this girl is out for blood. It’s tense!

But...alas...chapter 11 comes. Keep in mind this is not ONLY the second to last chapter, but the last one isn’t even about the main story! It’s backstory!

Remember how in the game there was the Merc Trio? They not only caused havoc to stall Wadanohara and her gang, but Ver Million is a friend of Wadanohara’s! There was some interesting character building...how does Wadanohara know a demon of all characters? It gets people thinking! They’re not in the manga. At all. Oh! How about how you had to rush to the castle with time on your heels, the suspense of making it riding the story and keeping you invested? Wadanohara is literally shot right into the castle room by Chlomaki after 3 pages into the 14 paged chapter. There’s no rush. No suspense. Wadanohara is instantly there.

But, maybe Wadanohara got there just in time! And she did! She is ready to fight for her princess a-

..Oh.

She’s instantly smacked aside.

O..kay, I guess. This can be suspenseful, right? Maybe if she put up more of a fight.

Then Princess Uomi shows up. Talks to Princess Tosatsu. And instantly hugs her. Tosatsu cries and makes up. 

Chapter 11 ends. And so does the manga.

This...is disappointment. Chapter 12 isn’t even important to this, so I won’t even talk about it.

Keep in mind that these chapters are 15 pages MAX. That’s nothing for mangas! You blow through these updates, that at the time, came at sudden random weeks at a time! The wait isn’t even worth it. There’s nothing to hold this story. Absolute NOTHING. Suspense of Princess Tosatsu? Nonexistent till the end of chapter 10, which is then instantly wrapped up in the next chapter. Anything else? You get nothing. The manga is canceled.

This is not how you do a manga adaptation. All you can say about this manga is that it answers meaningless and small questions, and it has pretty art.

Wadanohara is a weak little cute girl. One who was even appreciated by Idate for her strength is just a cute face for Samekichi to protect.  Fukami, Memoca, and Dolphi feel more like side characters. Fukami has more character, but Dolphi is literally unimportant to the story. She barely even talks. Samekichi gets only slight character development, but the most out of everyone. He’s seen smiling, emoting, and caring for Wadanohara when he’s trying to chase her away. 

That’s it.

In the prologue, you actually get to know why she went to Witch World. To restore her memories. It does leave a question, for those who haven’t played the game, of what is she trying to restore? And it answers the question of why she was gone in the first place, for those who have played the game. It’s a good bit of info that does foreshadow.

But you’re not gonna get that shit now!

After a very short chapter with promises of learning more about Wadanohara and Samekichi’s relationship, Funamusea officially stated they’re not going to continue the manga due to it being “too stressful”. Which is a valid, yet heartbreaking, reason. But...is it the real reason? Some people doubt it.

This is the era I called the Satanivlis era. Well...it’s not exactly an era? But, it’s something I will bring up.

There’s been some speculation on why Funamusea really did cancel the manga. This suspicious thinking came from when Funamusea announced The Gray Garden to have a remake, seem to have gone pretty well into development, then suddenly cancel it.

Around the same time, Funamusea suddenly started to work on a comic about Satanick, Ivlis, Kcalb, Etihw, and Siralos. It seemed like just a tiny preoccupation for Funamusea. This is fine and dandy! They can do whatever they please. But, then this is when they started drawing heavy amounts of Satanivlis (Satanick x Ivlis) after making a lovechild for them, Licorice.

The problem with this is how MUCH we are seeing this. And it’s not just shipping art. No, it’s r*pe fetish art. Many, MANY amounts of r*pe fetish art suddenly pours into their website. This continues for quite some time.

Till very recently (as of making this its March 26th, 2017), they start showing previews of what looks like to be a manga... Funamusea makes a yaoi r*pe fetish manga that’s for SALE suddenly, out of the blue. And this is why everyone is suspicious.

Funamusea makes the WATGBS manga for fans. The updates are slow, the chapters are rushed, and then it’s suddenly canceled for being “too stressful”. We get no more info on it. Unknown if they will continue or not. No real communication or hope for the manga to ever be good.

Then after months of updates involving Ivlis being r*ped as a joke or to look sexual, and even being r*ped by his own child, we get a manga. Out of no where. Just for the fun of it.

Funamusea is the problem with this whole situation. Why the manga was shit, and why we got nothing but the same shit over and over again. Funamusea doesn’t communicate. Funamusea doesn’t realize they have a fanbase that sticks around to see more of content they love, or new content to love. 

I’m making chrome crash with how long this is. So I’m going to stop.

TL;DR: Funamusea sucks at writing and cares more about their yaoi ships than their fans.

It's some version of Price - that's the same melody line, but the instrumentation is all different. That's not to say that Price isn't good; it's just that I'm weak for strings & orchestra instruments in non- orchestral songs. It sounds darker and more intense. I love it
