'Heaven in Hell'

Introducing the Hell AU, better known as You're in Hell, Kid!

It's an AU where Luz dies and wakes up without any memories in witch hell instead of a human afterlife, equipped with nothing but her name and a dented baseball bat. Desperate to learn who she is and what happened to her, she teams up with a witch/spirit named Eda the Owl Lady and her curse-mate Birdbrain the Owl Beast to break out of hell and return to the living realm.

Along the way, Luz will find allies and enemies, uncover secrets, and learn how to find family and companionship in a bleak and unforgiving realm of the dead.

Also fall in love. That's a given.

The shape in the water thrashed and shrank back to the darkest corner of the dock, draped in green rivulets of seaweed with red eyes like that of a cornered rattlesnake. She hung there looking at him, silent and shocked with the water’s reflection dancing on her face.

I know this has probably been said before, but Lunter Soulmate AUs. What if Luz and Hunter both have the red string and Luz's always leads to a place she can't follow and vice versa until she arrives at the Isles does she feel it getting shorter? What if Luz can feel Hunter's pain from his injuries everytime he gets hurt? What if they first see color when they both look into each other eyes when Hunter doesn't have his mask?

Goldenlight week 2023: 💜💛 Day 7 family

"Can you say Dada?" Hunter says softly to baby Leo, sitting him gently on his chest.

Hands delicate but protective under his arms to keep him from falling over. Leo just stares back as his father. Content and happily sucking on his little hand. Leo had wide innocent golden brown eyes, tan brown skin, and soft curly blond hair. The only oddity to this baby was his cute pointed ears. Witch ears. Other than that, you wouldn't be able to tell that this baby was once born a premi.

"Come on buddy, I know you can do it. Say Dada." Hunter tries again. But all Leo Noceda does is baby gurgle and than smiles a gummy smile.

"That's cheating you know." A warm and beautiful voice says over Hunter. Hunter looks up and over the couch and sees Luz. From the sky window the sunlight hits her just right and she is glowing like a light glyph. Seeing her like that he's hit with how much has changed in such a little amount of time. How much pain, craziness, and trauma it took to get to this point. He wouldn't change it for the world. Not if it ment he wouldn't havethe two most important people in the world to him.

Luz goes around to sit on the couch next to her son and her boyfriend. Hunter leans up, Leo in his arms. The baby boy lights up at the sight of his mother. Smiling a cute little smile. But content to be in his fathers arms for the moment.

"What's cheating?", questions Hunter. Luz smiles at Hunter. "Trying to get the baby to say his first word, when I'm not here to try to get him say mama too."

Hunter laughs at that, than hugs Luz. Luz hugs him back. Baby Leo in between them.

Luz smiles down at Leo, "Hola mi angelito." She kisses him on his cute little button nose. The baby giggles and pats at his mother's cheeks. Hunter smiles content at this warm moment with his little family.

Luz glances at Hunter, smiles in mischief, than looks back at Leo. "Can you say Mama Leo. Say Ma-ma. Leo says nothing, going back to sucking on his thumb. He's such a quiet and easy baby.

"Nice try, guess this little guy's being stubborn." Hunter lies back down, bringing both Luz and Leo with him.

"I wonder where he gets that from."

"Definitely from his mother."

Luz playfully gasps offended. Than she fully cuddles with Hunter and Leo on the couch. Leaning into Hunter chest fully. She can smell his comforting scent and hear his strong gladorstone heart. She can't help but tear up a bit, but makes sure the tears don't fall. She doesn't want to worry Hunter. She's just so happy. "Do you want to take a nap here?" Luz asks softly. Not wanting the moment to end. "Just lay here on the couch?" Hunter asks softly. But it doesn't sound like he minds. Baby Leo continues sucking on his thumb, but his eyes slowly start to flutter close. Luz lays her chest and looks up at him. "Yeah, just lay here with us ok?"

"Ok." They all sleep peacefully for a while. Safe in there little bubble.

“Doing a WONDERFUL job of fixing me up, human.” The boy from the sea laughed dryly. Luz harrumphed and tugged at the bandage ‘round his forearm, not hard enough to hurt but not light enough to deny her the reaction she wanted. “Hey!” He yelped. Luz stuck her tongue out at him.

“You’re just gonna have to deal with my bandaging skills, wether you like it or not!”

The boy huffed, but didn’t protest.

The duo fell silent for some time against the background noise of waves gently lapping at the sandbar they sat upon. Any and all eye contact in those moments was purely accidental, only happening when they’d choose to sneak a quick glance at the other at the same time, which only prolonged the awkward silence.

Then the boy rolled his eyes and spoke. “Why help me, anyways?”

Luz blinked. “Well, I can’t just leave you like this, can I?”

The marks on his arm weren’t gruesome, but they certainly didn’t bode well for him, either. They must’ve been from some great big oceanic predator, evident in how the marks looked like they’d been carved out by teeth.

The boy didn’t outwardly show it, but it was clear he was in pain.

“Thank you.” His words were barely above a whisper. Luz looked up from his arm. “Huh?” She said, more of an instinctual reaction rather than a response. “Thank you, for helping me.” “Oh! No problem. I’m Luz, by the way.”

“My name is Hunter.”

“Nice to meet you, Hunter.”

The boy from the sea told her his name was Hunter, a name befitting his fangs and claws.
