hi guys, welcome to godly girls.

my name is lana, and its lovely to meet you.

godly girls is a concept i have been baking in the oven for many months, and will bake slowly at a low temp until i am content with it. this is my personal project, my love child. i call it a child because it grows exponentially daily, and i get lost keeping up with the ever flourishing vision…

the closest thing to god is a girl, and all of my girls are godly. being a godly girl isn’t a mood, or a vibe… its a lifestyle. when i say being godly, its far from religious. (trust me) being a godly girl is much more than acting as a goddess may. (its quite the opposite) godly girls break every chain placed upon them. see, being a godly girl is about creating your own archetype… creating YOU.. fearlessly, relentlessly and shamelessly and of course, with nearly pompous belief in yourself. godly girls do what they feel drawn to. we radiate cosmic energy and are our own messiahs. the path less traveled looks comforting, and we’re ready to blaze any trail to get to where we know we should be.

i have struggled for many many years with my direction in life. Whether it be family, activities, or general socialization.. I never really felt like I clicked. Until one day, I realized, If I’m looking this critically at myself; others must be as well. How the hell would they have enough time to consider me when they’re spending just as much time as I am worried about how they are perceived?!

This thought set me free. Ever since I have had this epiphany, I have lived my life to my own accord, and accepted myself for whomever I may be…because at the end of the day, its just me who I am responsible for.. so why not choose happy??

This sense of individuality, of freedom in many ways; Has shaped how I live my day to day life. My goal with godly girls is to inspire many young women to thrive within their own interests, to be fearless as they conquer the world just as they please.

I have spent many months working towards perfecting this concept, and although it may not yet be perfect; just as we all are; it will be everything i have ever wanted to represent and more once completed.

Its nice to meet you, and I look forward to watching my godly girls grow with me.

Pain that wounds your heart, anxiety that bothers you, sickness that causes you much, mistake that keeps on haunting you, failure that ridicules you... welcome to your pruning process!

But be still and trust God. One day you'll grow and bloom to where God has planted you to be!

My hair got a trim 😂😂 Needed to clean some of the dead ends in my life 😂😂 As 2018 is drawing to a close I look back on some of the events that occurred. Some of them sad, many of them joyous, but most of all I am glad to say that my life is moving in the right direction. I am moving onto bigger and better things, I paid off the remainder of my credit card debt 🎉🎉 I got out of a relationship with an alcoholic that caused pain and heartache continuously, I stepped back into the path of light, and found my solace in my education and people who’s presence makes me want to be better. NO LONGER BLIND

Have you ever asked "is there hope?" I did. I always do.

They say, "at the end of a tunnel there would always be a light" thus making me question my existence, my life - i always feel like my life's a big question, a never ending journey inside a tunnel, too dark, too silent, too lonely, worst: too hopeless.

Once, there was a person in the bible who could definitely claim a hundred-percent credibility of having a never-ending-journey-in-a-tunnel life. His life was literally dark for not having a sense of sight. He is Bartimaeus, a blind man from the city of Jericho. Yet Bart’s dark-filled life had its grandest shift when he had an encounter with Jesus. [See Mark 10:46-52]

Often times, Bart's life reflects how I lived my life - blinded. Unloved, unworthy, hopeless, these deceptions blinded my eyes to see who I really was. I was living my life in a chamber of lies, making me the person who I wasn't. What's ironic? I was born Christian. I am a pastor's kid and yet I cloaked myself in worldly perspective.

Good news, just like the life of Bartimaues, my life did not have its period on chains or being blinded by deceptions! How to find hope?

Cry out to Jesus

When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! [Mark 10:47]

Churchy as it may sound, but it’s the only thing that could save us from the riots in our heads. Yes! the only answer is Jesus Christ. May it be financial, emotional, mental or physical struggles we can always cry out to Him just like what Bart cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Cry louder to Jesus

Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me! [Mark 10:48]

There will be times that even after crying out to Jesus, deception’s noise would be a little louder. Sometimes it’s in a form of discouragements, disappointments, failures, pains, sicknesses but whatever noise the world may surround us let our cries to Jesus be louder - it’s not the time to give up rather the time make our cries audacious!

Cling to Jesus

Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. [Mark 10:50]

We all have our own cloaks - something that’s hindering us to grasp hope. Perhaps, it’s a material thing that keeps us busy with the world, a relationship that hinders us to be the person God wants us to be. There is a cloak that God wants us to throw but one thing is for sure when we throw that cloak off and cling to Jesus, we’ll find hope, healing, joy, freedom, love, acceptance and every good thing we’ve been looking for.

It’s not as easy as one, two, three; it takes time, sacrifice, discipline, self-denial and above all the help of the Holy Spirit to be fully free yet in the end, it will be worth it to be able to see again that life with Christ is so beautiful.
