I am heavily contemplating on buying myself a dvd player soon and buying all the DVDs for a ton of movies and tv shows I grew up watching cuz I miss the magic of dvds

the one main thing for me that would make the Baldur's Gate experience unfathomably more enjoyable was if they just went nuts with character design and let you play as more different species.

imagine being able to play as a goblin, a kobolt, a bugbear, an orc, changlings, tabaxi, kenku, satyrs, eladrin, loxodon, a fucking grung. and I know there are mods for skins, but I mean characters with race-based specific dialog, specific plot opportunities for each race. and they're all romanceable.

I know it would be so much more work on Larian's part, plus bringing in actors again, so I totally understand why this wouldn't be a thing, but gods.... can you imagine how good it would be?

I wish we had gotten to see more domestic moments between Louis and Lestat. Ik they aren't 'important' to the overall story but it's just like... pls.

What's worse is when we get Claudia's POV in ep 4 we actually see the outskirts of some domestic moments between them -when louis tells her no running in the house he and lestat are sitting on the couch together calmly talking, on her 17th birthday we see them singing happy birthday and then dancing together in the courtyard- so we KNOW these moments are happening, we just don't get to see them because Louis is to preoccupied with the pain. Which, fair, but still I wanna see them doing stuff together without the curtain of pain

#thinking about how louis and or lestat love seeing movies together #was there ever a moment where louis laid on lestats chest on the couch while he read a book? no noise but the sound a pages turning and #the crackle of the fireplace? I haven’t been able to STOP thinking about Bottoms! It has to be my favorite teen movie I think I’ve ever seen, and I wholeheartedly agree that we need more sapphic love and comedy!! (Don’t talk to me about a league of their own, I’m still grieving) (but also like let’s talk about it).

I thought the homage to other teen movies was so well done without feeling empty and purely for the nostalgia. It really felt like it informed the set, the characters, and it was amazing to see them do something new with it all!

I think Ayo as Josie was top tier casting, I’d never laughed so much in my life. I could go on for hours about every single part she’s in, there’s so much nuance to her acting, both serious and comedic.

It felt like such a labor of love, and you can tell with Ayo, Rachel, and Emma that their experiences informed the story and it felt so authentic to my actual time in high school. Not only that, but their ability to create their own pocket universe where they can just murder other people and have it be fine is hilarious.

I can’t wait to own this movie so I can show it to everybody I know.

as i get older there’s nothing more appealing than a completed series, a standalone book, a story that has told itself then contained itself. stories that threaten to go on in perpetuity just sound exhausting.

a show that comes onto the scene and tells me it’s going to be finished in three seasons, a movie that doesn’t threaten me with a sequel in it’s credit scenes, a novella that tells me what it has to say and then gets the fuck out... that’s what i’m here for.

like i love a long project! a long... and done project.

the threat of a story never finishing or lingering so long all its characters and worldbuilding is almost unrecognizable with no perceivable end in sight... it’s too much as i get older.

i would rather get into a book series that’s done and has 18 books in it than be proffered a book that is number 2 in a series with no promised ending.

i am the patient gamer of stories, whatever form they come in. except i’m not waiting for a sale, i’m waiting for a conclusion.
