God Bless The Mistaken Volume 1: Today's World
Nio Nakatani is almost certainly known for their hit manga Bloom Into You. With territory like that, especially in the realm of Yuri, the expectations of readers begin to shift towards similarity and familiarity.
Nakatani pays these expectation no heed however, and delivers a beautiful first volume that speaks to their sensibilities with Bloom Into You, while proving what they're capable of as a mangaka.
It's a wonderful first volume, and for plenty of reasons that you'll find in the review below!

February may be a short month, but it was still packed to the brim with new releases! We cover a bunch in our reviews below (and a few older ones, too), including three with “villain” or “villainess” in the title (a brand new series among them), the latest volume of Heart Gear, and five full volumes of Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet all at once! Oh, and is that a McDonalds manga, I see?
Associate Professor Akira Takatsuki’s Conjecture (Vol. 3) • Drifting Dragons (Vol. 5) • God Bless the Mistaken (Vol. 1) • Heart Gear (Vol. 3) • If the Villainess and Villain Met and Fell in Love (Vol. 1) • Mint Chocolate (Vol. 10) • Rainbow Days (Vol. 8) • Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet (Vols. 2-6) • The Villainess Stans the Heroes: Playing the Antagonist to Support Her Faves! (Vol. 3) • Villains Are Destined to Die (Vol. 6) • WcDonalds (Ch. 1) • The Witch and the Knight Will Survive (Vol. 2)

I was very excited to see what Nakatani Nio was going to write next; I think this isn't quite for me, but it's still cute and well written and I'll stick with it a bit longer. It's about a young boy who 'investigates' (or mostly just comments on) world-changing bugs/glitches with his adult landlady; Nakatani's art is as good as ever, and I like the premise of the world being strange and everyone just living with it, but I wish there wasn't this faint hint of May/December romance. (Okay, she's not really old enough to be 'December,' but also he's a middle-schooler, and she's far more into him than any of the other young adult tenants that they all live with.) We'll see how it goes; I'd love it to be about growing up and learning to navigate a world that doesn't always make sense with other people, so I'm going to hold out hope. :)
