The First Queen of Callinia had abandoned her name, and remained nameless throughout her reign. However, when the queen was still a young girl living in a lonely hamlet, her caretakers would give her the name Callyn. It should be noted that Callyn was the demonym used to refer to anyone from Callinia.
The First Queen of Callinia would never introduce herself as Callyn, nor any other name. She would only respond to the name if used in informal situations and only by people she was close with. In any other situation, she considered it a great insult. She often had to speak the words, “I have no name.” An exception to this would be when the First Queen was to interact with Glaclians. Glaclians would call her Callyn regardless of her feelings on it. But the First Queen had good enough judgment to understand the benefits of having Glaclian allies, even if it meant dealing with their disrespect.
The First Queen’s Blade and Regent were the two people who she trusted most.Still, the two would never refer to her as Callyn unless they were alone together. Though Tsyrilus, she avoided referring to the First Queen by any name following the First Queen’s coronation and herself being recognized as the Queen’s Blade.
The greatest offense towards the First Queen would be to refer to her by her birth name. Hearing her birth name ignited many emotions in the First Queen, from fear and discomfort to anger and hate. These emotions were only furthered amplified after she had touched the Abyss; she would go so far as to personally kill anyone who uttered her birth name.

Occylinan was one of the biggest trading hubs in all the realms. The city was located on the island of Frostover, perfectly located between Aurlia and Glaclia with connections to the caverns of Karstarlia and the oceans of Marlia. Merchants from all the realms could be found in Occylinan, sharing both treasure and culture.

Glaclia was a large continent north of Aurlia, reaching to the North Pole. The temperature got more extreme as you go farther North, occasionally getting as low as -130°F near the pole. Obviously, most people did not make the trip. Most adventurers who dared to trek to the northernmost regions of Glaclia did not return. Those who did, however, returned rich. They spoke of ruins long forgotten to the ice and cursed magic not even documented by the Entrov College of the Arcane and Natural Sciences. Some claimed to have seen the legendary Arcta, though most find this hard to believe. Very few people have bared witness to any of the Ailerus's kin, and most do not even believe the stories surrounding the Ailerus.
It was only through the few adventurers who made it all the way North and survived the return trip, such as the feather-hunter Rick Millen, that the wider world knew about the settlement of Arcta’s Roost.

Humans were by far the most common race in Aurlia and Glaclia. Humans were known in Marlia and Karstarlia mostly through interactions with traders, and they made up a sizable proportion of Karstarlian slaves. Almost no humans lived in Etherlia, but this is hardly surprising.
Since humans were everywhere, the culture and politics of Man had spread across the globe. Likewise, hints of many cultures could be found everywhere, as traveling humans brought with them the culture of the races they lived with.

One of the goals of Callinia was to conquer Glaclia, though they were never successful. In what later became known as the Week's War, Callinia sent troops into Glaclia in the middle of winter, thinking that Glaclian supplies will be down, and the people would be weak. Estimates put Callinian losses at 60-80%. It seems people always make the same mistakes, doesn't it?

The tundra of northern Glaclia was much more tribal than Aurlia. While there were some of what Aurlians would consider nobles in the Glaclian tundra, being a noble in Glaclia did not carry with it nearly the same influence as in Aurlia. The role of Glaclian nobility was mostly symbolic, and served as representatives when needed for foreign policy. Some Glaclian highborn did live in palaces and castles, which would stand across the eras. These palaces were found in larger cities and would often house people during the long, dark winters.
The primary concern of all who lived in the Glaclian tundra was survival, and this was reflected in how the Glaclian nobility fit in the culture.

Many languages spoken during the first two eras evolved into the modern languages we speak today. For example, the common tongue of Aurlia became today’s Germanic languages, and the common tongue of Glaclia became today’s Slavic languages.
