A bit of discourse here, actually. Stuff I wanna bring up about what I know about china and America/Texas.
Tw: abortion, the situation with china and feminine men that I probably shouldn't be talking about.
First, we'll start off with Texas, concerning the abortion ban.
A very tabboo topic.
I don't care what side you are on, pro-life, pro-choice, neutral. That doesn't matter to me. What matters to me, is that you're taking away the right a person with a uterus should have. Having an abortion is not your choice - it's theirs.
The abortion ban, which isn't a full ban but it still counts as one, only allows you to have an abortion if you're under 6 weeks of pregnancy. After that, you can get arrested if you get one after 6 weeks. It even includes cases of rape and incest.
Let that sink in.
If you get raped, you probably can't get one. If it's by incest, which is proven to fuck up children once they are born, you probably can't get one.
6 weeks is not enough time to find out if you're pregnant for most. It's also not enough time to get an appointment at an abortion clinic since those can take a while to make. Are there walk in clinics? I think so.
I can't remember if it includes medical reasons, so I can't speak on that.
But one thing I've noticed through peers and family alike, if they are pro-life, they obviously well, want the birth giver to give birth. They say it's murder to get an abortion. But after that?
They said it's the birth giver's responsibility to raise the baby and they'll be a horrible person to give it up to adoption. That they won't help because they were the ones who chose to have sex. In cases of rape they usually victim blame the victim, saying she was dressed as a whore or she should have fought back harder.
"She shouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place, it's not our responsibility to take care of that kid"
I heard that a lot throughout my life through people I know. Those are the same people who said they're pro-life. Obviously not every pro-lifer out there is like this, thankfully, but many are. And I know a lot of them and a few of them even told me they want me to carry their kid.
So uh, that's creepy.
Abortion is safer than giving birth, and honestly, by taking that away you're just going to make a lot of uterus having people do it on their own. It becomes dangerous and most likely they'll use a wire hanger and a lot of liquor to numb the pain.
You have to take care of the child you were forced to have. There are many reasons people want an abortion and most of them are valid (unfortunately, Through Reddit I found out abortion turns some people on and I wish to no longer live on this planet. If it exists, I guess there's a kink for it).
I can understand both sides, but as a person with a uterus, I would rather have the option to be able to have an abortion in time without worrying if I'm about to get arrested because of it.
A rapist gets less time in jail than a person with a uterus gets after getting an abortion.
Not only that, but anyone who "helps" you get it also gets punished too. Even the fucking Uber driver can get in trouble for merely driving you to an abortion clinic.
In the end, the choice of abortion is not up to you, it does not affect you, is it not your body, it is not your decision to make. If the fetus came to be because of consensual sex, then yes, you should talk to your partner at the very least.
But the choice should be up to the one affected by this ban - the ones with a uterus.
And now, we talk about China.
Honestly, I think china will only get worse when it comes to stuff concerning having control over their people. America too.
The video game ban is stupid, 3 hours a week is way too harsh in my opinion. Video games are a way to escape from reality for a bit, a way to enjoy yourself.
And the ban on showing feminine men in social media... That's some very fragile masculinity.
Edit: okay now I have no idea what's going on in china. Some say it's to set a realastic version of men and to crack down on dangerous stereotypes of K-pop idols... I won't speak further on that and I apologize for not doing more research if this is indeed true.
But I still stand by what I said about the video game hours. Obvious don't put video games above everything else, do your homework, study, etc. They're banned from playing on school days if I remember correctly and since a lot of online games have limited time events that only last for a few days...
One more thing: if you're going to send death threats, how about you do it off of anon instead of being a coward? If you are uncomfortable with what I wrote and my stance on it, I understand. But sending hate will not make you "better" than me. Block me if anything.

ooh star wars asks! hmm ~ there are a lot of interesting questions. is it excessive if i ask more than one? well we'll go with: 11 most underrated character? & maybe... this is probably not fair but i'm also interested in your opinions on 20 bc we've talked about it a little before
ask ALL THE QUESTIONS MY DUDE
11. who is the most underrated character?
is Cassian considered to be underrated
this is kind of a tricky question to answer because i have a poor grasp on exactly how much “regular folk” know about STAR WARS… i kind of want to say Bail Organa, because he’s such an interesting figure, and i don’t think we talk about him enough. both of Leia’s parents get underwritten next to her birth parents, but a lot of who Leia is is entirely due to Bail and Breha. Bail is so cool, particularly in the prequels, where he’s in so many scenes, but just at the back; he was there for SO MUCH, and the galaxy owes him so much!!! this is a founder of the Alliance!!!
in the Old EU, Bail and Breha are key to the funding of the Alliance in particular. Garm Bel Iblis, and Corellia, bring in the weapons and ships; and Mon Mothma brings in the soldiers, but it’s Bail and Alderaan who have the credits. i think about this a lot, particularly now, with the precariousness of Leia’s Resistance, which is notoriously poor. how often does she think of Bail, and his work in getting the Alliance up-and-running? Leia’s ability to command and lead is something she would have learned from Bail and Breha; particularly, her ability to reach agreements and sign treaties.
Alderaan was known for being a peaceful planet, yet it’s the one that gets annihilated. i wonder how that might have shaped Leia. it makes me think of how in current EU canon, Leia is against the signing of the Military Disarmament Act post-Battle of Jakku; and how might have been motivated over this fear of what happened to Alderaan, and her belief that the galaxy needs a ready-to-roll galactic military.
tl;dr: Bail Organa’s legacy endures through the actions and beliefs of Leia Organa, and I don’t think we talk about that enough.
20. what do you hope will happen in future movies?
hahahaha oh my dude.
i’m trying to generally be More Chill about the future movies, because they are far far out of my control. but here are some thoughts on what could be cool:
-EPISODE IX: Time jump between VIII and IX. I’m thinking five years, as that’s a time jump we could reasonably see in the faces of the young actors. Rey has a double-bladed green lightsaber (tribute to Luke, and also “I didn’t know there was this much green in the whole galaxy.”) Finn is a Jedi, as is Connix. (Billie Lourd with a lightsaber is as close as we’re gonna get to Leia.) Someone has a lightsaber that belonged to Leia. Rose as a Jedi would be cool too, why not. Gay Poe forever. (also Oscar Isaac with gray hair!!!! do it!!!!) Kylo Ren is gonna bite it, in a kamikaze run against the First Order in the Falcon, which dies with him.
-there’s gonna be an Obi-Wan movie at some point, c’mon
-i would LOVE to see The Maw, though it looks like SOLO might be doing that??? give me The Maw. i am here for The Maw.
-technically Iego and the Angels has already appeared in the animated series but i want to see that in live action
-i’d like a trilogy taking place a longer time ago, about the Jedi. maybe the very first Jedi. I just want more Jedi.
but i really want an entirely different story, outside of the Force and the Jedi, and I think we’ll get one. I want STAR WARS to truly expand itself and explore that massive galaxy it takes place in.
thank you for the asks!!!! this is fun!!
