Tumblr media
Hand pressed to your lower back, you waddled out into the yard after having heard both your brother and boyfriend come back from their morning run. Mr. Oh had just stepped out to buy some groceries to make breakfast, having refused your offer to join him for the short trip.
It’d been five months since you’d moved out to the countryside with him after everything had happened. The first month after Mr. Choi’s murder you’d been at the orphanage with Geonwoo’s mother helping out as best as you could with all the kids wherever the staff needed you.
However, just as your luck throughout this whole ordeal would have it, within your first week of being there you suspected you were pregnant after having missed your period and the sudden morning sickness that succeeded that. His mother had been the first to suggest the possibility, having been aware that you and Geonwoo had most definitely shared at least one night together in the time you’d been dating (curse the thin walls of the apartment when he snuck you in). She was the reason why, after you’d taken the pregnancy test and gotten a positive, you had taken the first bus back to the city then a cab to the residence. You can imagine your shock at seeing the burned remains of the house you’d spent countless weeks in.
Neighbors had fortunately been able to direct you to a nearby hospital where one of the victims of the sudden fire had been hospitalized for nearly a month due to “severe burns” - although they all claimed the young man hadn’t been burned but stabbed to an inch of his life. You’d immediately thought it had been Geonwoo who’d been stabbed. Woojin, your brother, could surely handle his own - even with a knife’s sharp edge pointed in his direction. But either way, you would be losing, hurting, and worried for whichever one of the two it was that was hospitalized. When you’d found Geonwoo sitting in a waiting room after visiting hours, your  heart had a brief relief before panic filled your entire being as you rushed at him needing to know how your brother was.
It was clear your boyfriend had been expecting anyone but you to be the person who grabbed his shoulders late that night based on the immediate tense and fighting stance his body took on reflex. He’d relaxed as soon as he registered that it was you, only to get worried himself because you being back in the city only put you in danger. But eventually he relented, not seeing it the time nor logical to argue with you then and there. You were already back in the city and getting you back to the orphanage now would be more difficult than ever - even if he didn’t know why you were back.
Woojin, while still under heavy observation by doctors, was better than you had expected him to be. He was wide awake and visible well other than the grimaces and winces whenever he sat up, turned, or stretched. And one never would’ve known that he’d nearly bled to death from how quickly he’d lunged himself at Geonwoo after you’d come clean about your reason for being there. He’d been pretty upset about it for a while - who wouldn’t be if their best friend slept with their little sister? Not to mention the current situation they were in - but eventually came around after seeing how happy the two of you were and the thought of being able to (hopefully) spoil his future niece or nephew with the money won during his matches.
Upon his discharge from the hospital, Mr. Oh brought the three - or four, depending on how you look at it - of you to his home in the countryside. Much to both of your dismay, Geonwoo and Woojin were both dead set on avenging Mr. Choi’s, Yangjung, and Dooyoung’s murders and bring down Smile Capital once and for all. With roughly two months left of your pregnancy, it was more and more worrisome seeing the training the boys were putting themselves through for the sake of their planned justice. That mixed with the possibility of them getting hurt was even more worrying.
You hadn’t actually seen what those cowards could do, but Woojin had already nearly died during their last encounter, Geonwoo’s facial scar, Mr. Choi, Yangjun, and Dooyoung - along with his family - murders were enough evidence to prove the lengths to which they would go to. And you couldn’t help but think that maybe it was best to back off.
At the beginning, before the last six months happened, you’d been onboard with snuffing them out. It wasn’t fair to the innocent people being hunted down for the deadly loan they’d been tricked into taking. But now with a new life inside of you and close to arriving, you worried about your own family. Godforbid something were to happen, but if it did, and if you were to lose both Woojin and Geonwoo - or just one and not the other - would it really have been worth it?
“Hey,” Geonwoo’s voice announced his presence pulling you from your thoughts. “Did you sleep well?”
“About as well as I can when needing to pee every three seconds,” you joked hoping it would lift your spirit a little bit and maybe have him forget about the dull look that was on your face when he walked in. No luck.
“You’re worried again aren’t you.”
He could always read you like a book. Your hands cradled your belly, smoothing out your shirt over the sore flesh feeling small movements from your baby as you nodded avoiding his gaze. It had been a constant topic of debate between the four of you. Mr. Oh and you completely against their persistent plan of justice; Geonwoo and Woojin seeing nothing wrong with said plan.
“Geon,” you sighed. “It’s not safe.”
“With them still out there it’ll never be safe.”
“You heard what they did to Dooyoung and his wife - even when he gave in trusting they would let her and the baby live. You saw what they did to Woojin - to you! I’d rather live the rest of my life always looking over my shoulder with you than without you or Woojin. Please, just - just think it over.”
Geonwoo sighed deeply as he took your hand in his, his knuckles grazing over you bump as he looked down at it lovingly before returning his gaze to your eyes. He knew it was a bit selfish of him to ask for you to trust him, to believe in his plan, to believe him when he promised that he’d come back to you and make sure Woojin did as well. It was incredibly selfish of him, but he couldn’t help it. When it came to you, he would always end up being selfish.
He whispered your name softly and you closed your eyes feeling the tears well, “I promise we’ll handle it and everything will go back to normal. We’ll get to start a new life us, the baby, my mom, Woojin. We’ll all get a new life with not debt and nothing to worry about. I promise. Just, please understand.”
So you nodded, because you knew that no matter how much you pleaded his heart of gold would always win. He would stand with his decision. And he would not back down from it.
“Okay. But you have to come back in one piece. Both of you.”
“We will. I promise.”

Gun Woo NSFW Alphabet (Bloodhounds)
Pairing: Kim Gun-Woo (Bloodhounds) x Reader
Rating: Fluffy Smut
Word Count: 3.6k (!) (turns out I fancy him a lot)
Author's Note: I finished Bloodhounds on Netflix last weekend and have thought of little else but the two bestest bros in the whole Bloodhound world <3 So requests for Gun Woo and Woo Jin are officially open, and since I am genuinely not sure if there's ever been a character on Netflix as attractive as Gun Woo he gets to go first, and a Woo Jin NSFW Alphabet is on its way too (amongst my usual shows content too) :)
Tumblr media
A = Aftercare (what they're like after sex)
Sweet, loving, gentlemanly Gun Woo would be all about that aftercare. He might not know exactly what he's supposed to be doing at first, but you can guarantee he'll pull you tightly against his chest, muscular arms wrapped around your shoulders keeping your ear pressed against him, listening to his nervous but ecstatic heart hammering in his chest. A man of few words he'll let his body do the talking, pressing soft kisses to your forehead, running his broad hands over you, soothing any aches his firm grip could have left, and smiling down at you with endless warmth and appreciation that he gets to be in this position with you.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
Gun Woo has put a lifetime of effort into his body, and he's pretty happy with the physique it's left him with, but in particular he'll love how you make his arms feel. When he gets to squeeze behind you when you're distracted by something and wrap them all the way around your waist, easily lifting you into the air if he wants to steal your attention but doesn't know how to ask for it. The way he can easily cage you against a mattress by placing an elbow either side of your head, or lift you against a wall if he thinks that's what that playful look in your eye is begging for. Even just walking alongside you and feeling you loop your arm through his as a reminder that you're there for him and he's there for you, something his arms can do that doesn't require strength or violence.
Gun Woo will worship every inch of your body, but your hands are where he finds his gaze drifting before he ever has the nerve to hold them. He's never known someone with such a gentle, caring touch, the delicate way you brush a hair from his face or carefully clean him up after a fight, making him wish he had even more scrapes and bruises. As you get closer and find yourself resting a hand on his arm or thigh in a compassionate moment, you'll be able to feel the way he tenses and then melts into your touch, the complete opposite of how people would usually lay their hands on him. And the first time your fingertips skim over his thighs and take his length in your palm he could have sworn he'd never felt better in his life, fighting his fluttering eyelids so he can keep his gaze fixed on how big he looks in your sweet hand.
C= Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
A shy boi through and through, Gun Woo would feel very uncomfortable making a mess with you initially, the thought of filling you with his cum equal parts tempting and unacceptable. But you know from day one that you're Gun Woo's first and you want nothing more than to feel and taste every part of him, so you shrug off his offer to wear a condom, and ride him to the point he spills inside you, seeing his cum dripping out of you and feeling so fucking close to you that he quickly overcomes any worries about it, using his fingers to push it back inside you, knowing now that's exactly where he belongs.
D = Dirty Secret (pretty self-explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
Before you came into his life, Gun Woo was a beacon of restraint and self-control, rarely having a sexual thought or touching himself at all. Now that he knows how perfect it feels to be buried between your legs, to see your sultry smile as you rub him off, to hear you pant and gasp as he tastes every drop of you, he struggles not to think about you all the time. More often that not when you start sleeping over he'll dream of you touching him and wake up with an erection, aching for attention. You can't watch a film settled in his lap without him getting himself all worked up and throbbing for you, desperately hoping you can't feel the drops of excitement leaking through his sweatpants, mortified at his lack of control around you, feeling like a dirty sex pest. He'd never tell you when he's feeling like this, although you'll quickly notice the squirming, and nervous brow furrowing, having to 'accidentally' rub your ass against him until he lets out a pained groan so loud he has to address it. He'd be so apologetic, not realising how hot it is that he's so obsessed with you, and you'd practically have to beg him to let you take care of it, all guilty thoughts finally emptying from his head as you climb knees his knees and take him between your lips, finally giving him some much needed relief.
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they're doing?)
Between part-time jobs and his military service, he's never really had the time or energy to put towards having a girlfriend, and Gun Woo's not the one night stand type despite his god-like looks. When he realises you could be the person he finally loses his virginity to, he'd have a very awkward conversation with Woo Jin to get his advice, given he's had slightly more success with the ladies, so he feels a bit more confident about making you feel good. When it comes to it, he'll be clear that you have to tell him what you like and don't, viewing you as the most important interest he's ever had to master, and studying your every reaction to his touch ever so happily until he's a true expert in making you feel amazing.
F = Favourite Position (this goes without saying)
Gun Woo would crave the connection that comes from eye contact and seeing your blissed out expression during sex, so he's probably a big fan of missionary, happy to use his well trained muscles to rock above you for as long as you can take it. He also loves when he has you on his lap, using one strong arm to bounce you up and down while his free hand plays with your clit, watching and feeling you fall apart around him as he kisses down your neck to your chest, wishing you never had to be any further away than this.
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
Sex isn't something that Gun Woo takes particularly lighting, feeling like it holds a lot of meaning for the two of you since you were his first. You'll have to get used to seeing his adorable happy face in bed though, which sometimes has you giggling as he grins like he's never been so happy every time he undresses you, without fail.
H = Hair (how well-groomed are they?)
Gun Woo keeps himself tidy and clean, wanting you to feel as comfortable with him as possible and to make himself the most appealing to you he can be.
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
It's definitely a hugely intimate act for Gun Woo, getting to worship your body and share his with you, to feel closer to you than he's ever felt to anyone. He'll look almost reverent as his hands carefully explore every curve of your skin, your body entirely perfect to the sweet boxer who doesn't seem to realise just how gorgeous he is. He'll love to thread his fingers through yours when he's getting close, lips finding yours greedily as he finally stops forcing his eyes open and lets the sensation of your soft, warm, clenching walls take over.
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
He wasn't one to masturbate before you came into his life, more than anything just because his mind never really thought of sex much before he realised just how incredible it could be with the right person. But now when he finds himself all worked up by just spending time in your intoxicating proximity, he'll occasionally dive into the shower first thing in the morning and let the sweet thoughts of whatever you two did in his dreams last night fill his head and bring him release, gaining just enough control over himself to go back out and face you.
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Given how statuesque this man is, it's safe to assume he's got a bit of size kink, loving how big he feels when your perched on his lap or stretched out underneath him. He loves watching his sizeable length slowly slide into you, the way you squirm as he stretches you out, picturing how deep he must reach as he traces a finger down your stomach. He also inadvertently becomes obsessed with cockwarming with you; at first he just couldn't bring himself to pull out of your velvety cunt when he was done, wishing he could just stay inside you all the time, knowing nothing has ever felt that good. And so when you line him up with your entrance as soon as you wake, once you've noticed his pattern of morning excitement, he'll happily slip inside you laying there and peppering your neck and shoulders with kisses for as long as he can take it until he grips your hips and starts rolling them against his, thinking you are a saint for putting up with his insatiable lust for you.
Finally I think it's safe to assume there's a praise kink going on here; tell him he's making you feel good and he'll moan happily against you, tell him he was amazing when he's finally done and he'll be immediately ready to go again, wanting to show you just how amazing he can be.
L = Location (favourite places to do it)
Never one to take much of a risk in this area of his life, you two usually wait until you're safety home to one of your places before you fall into bed together, sometimes only making it as far as a coach or armchair before you need to feel his skin against yours. The one exception to this is when he is convinced to have a drink with the Lil Group Heir at his club and suddenly he knows he can't wait until you get home when you look that beautiful and just smell so perfect. He'll find a private VIP room, and drag you inside, your underwear barely down your legs before his tongue is between them.
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
Honestly, just being near you is enough to get him on his way to fantasising about feeling you on his fingers. Sometimes the more gentle the touch you give him, fixing his hair, zipping up his jacket for him before he heads out the door, placing the slightest kiss on a bruise to 'help it heal better' and the blood will be flushing to his cheeks and his manhood before he can stop it. He just loves the way you take care of him, so used to being the one to help others, and it makes him want to take care of you right back.
N = No (something they wouldn't do, turn offs)
As much as he loves lifting you into his lap or feeling his weight on top of you, Gun Woo wouldn't ever want to really use his strength in the bedroom. The thought of hitting or restraining you would take him out of the safe and loving world you create for him in a life so influenced by fighting, so he much prefers soft, sensual touches that have both of you smiling like fools in love.
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
When Gun Woo realises how much of a reaction he can get from you by going down on you, it becomes a must every time he gets you into bed. He lives for the taste of you on his tongue, the feeling of your thighs trembling by his ears as he slips a finger inside you and his tongue laps at your clit, the way you pant his name as you cum for the third time that night before he's even taken his sweatpants off. It feels so good to slip himself inside your soaked pussy that he wants to make you as ready as possible before he finally thrusts inside you.
He's such a selfless sweetheart that he wouldn't ever ask for you to go down on him, always insisting on focusing on your pleasure, and being so painfully hard by the time you're ready that you don't often get the chance to give him head in the early days of your relationship. Eventually on one of the mornings when he's doing a terrible job of pretending he's not throbbing in his pyjama shorts, you'd convince him that you really want to do it for him and he'd relent in his desperation for you, eyes falling wide open as you settle between his meaty thighs and lick a long teasing stripe up his manhood. When he feels you slip him between your lips straight to the back of your throat, it's like his whole body relaxes, every drop of tension melting away, except his balled up fists which fight to make this heaven last just a moment longer. He would finish very quickly, barely with time to warn you, something he immediately tries to apologize for before he sees you swallow his load and give him a satisfied smile that might be the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. After that, you'll make sure you give him much more attention in the oral department.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
Despite his overwhelming strength and agility, Gun Woo much prefers to take things slow with you, wanting to enjoy as much time together as possible and draw every ounce of pleasure from the experience as he can. Sometimes to stop it coming to an end for him too soon, he'll still his hips inside you mid-thrust and bring his hands to cup your face, pulling you in a heartfelt kiss, lips capturing yours for what feels like hours until finally he picks up his pace again, satisfied he can make you cum again before he does.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
Once Gun Woo's inside of you, he doesn't want the moment to be over quickly at all, so he doesn't tend to indulge in quickies if he can help it. If you're in the mood and you've got somewhere to be, he'd much prefer to go down on you and ignore his own pleasure, and if the positions are reversed and you can actually get him to admit that he's horny, you'll take the chance to use your mouth on him instead, knowing he struggles to last very long once he feels your tongue on him.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
Too much of Gun Woo's life has been dominated by risk and danger for him to find much sex appeal in that, so while he'll happily try a new position for you, he's not one to try anything risky, preferring to focus simply on connection and pleasure.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
At first it's difficult for Gun Woo to last very long inside you because you just feel too incredible and the poor boy can't keep hold of himself for very long. With a bit more practice, like any athlete, he becomes much better at knowing when he needs to slow down or change things up, and now he really could last all night if you wanted him too.
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
Gun Woo would have never seen a toy in his life if it weren't for you. It's not that he doesn't like them or that he feels threatened, but I think he would want there to be nothing between the two of you, the way his fingers and mouth explore you expertly is more than enough for the two of you in the bedroom.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
His great purpose in life is to please and help you, so Gun Woo's not one for teasing. If you tried to explain it to him you'd be presented with the blankest possible face and asked "why would I want to do that when all I want to do is touch you?" The best you can hope for is him obsessively making you cum on his fingers and tongue over and over again until you literally have to beg him to actually fuck you. On the plus side, you get all the fun of teasing him when he's clearly in the mood but doesn't want to be a bither, wiggling in his lap and 'accidentally' grazing his bulging shorts until he's so achingly desperate he looks like he might cry and finally you can make your move and pretend you've only just noticed.
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
He's not one to groan loudly or moan over and over, instead you'll get little whimpers when something feels so good he thinks he might fall apart instantaneously. He'll want to sing your praises when you're together, but it usually just comes out in little choked gasps of your name, or short words like 'perfect', 'so soft' or 'too good'.
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for this character)
Gun Woo always smiles like an absolute fool when you agree to come running with him in the morning, valuing the precious time together, doing one of his favourite things and being healthy and active with you. He'll always be a gentleman and keep at the pace you set, stopping without complaining when you need a break and claiming that's the speed he would run at anyway. The only time you've ever made him admit he was slowing down for you, you suggested you have a race home at the end of your run. He was all ready to be a gentleman and let you win, until you said if he won your race, you'd join him in the shower when you got home. After a moment of pure stunned shock at your words, his head filling with a thousand sordid images, he was off. By the time you got home, Gun Woo had beaten you there, lit a candle and got the shower running, holding a towel out to you with a bashful grin as you stepped through the front door.
It was his first time in the shower with you, and with the water trickling down your body it was like seeing you naked for the first time all over again, his heart hammering in his chest, feeling wholy undeserving of everything you do for him. That feeling would only grow as you took the time to massage shampoo into his hair, soapy body rubbing against his and you let your hands drift down to his shoulders, massaging the tender flesh under the warm water and hearing breathy pants creep from his lips as the sensations washed over him. As you take his twitching length in your soapy palm, rubbing it over a few times and licking your lips hungrily, he would snap into action, lifting you against the wall until your legs found his waist, making quick work of stretching you out with his fingers until he could finally push himself inside you, the water making him even more sensitive. From that day on, Gun Woo would do everything in his power to never take a shower without you, claiming he needed your help to wash his hair.
X = X-ray (let's see what's going on under those clothes)
Gun Woo is a greek adonis of a man, every muscle well built from years of training, and it would be safe to assume this towering man has a sizeable package that you might need a bit of time to get used to. Don't be surprised if you can't walk after your first time together, but at least he can carry you everywhere.
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Gun Woo is never not yearning for you. It's not just about sex, although the feeling of being deep inside you is something he'll never take for granted, it's about the intimacy and safety and connection in that moment with you. Of Gun Woo being able to make you feel good, while he also feeling amazing himself, like the whole outside world disappears and he is just in his happy place with the person he loves, that sweet dopey grin never leaving his face, no matter how long you're together.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterward)
Years of training means that Gun Woo has more energy and stamina than the average person, so wouldn't necessarily be quick to fall asleep after sex. Instead he takes a lot of joy in feeling you curl up against his glistening bare chest and slowly drift off yourself. He feels so privileged to be the one you feel safe enough to do this with, smiling up at the ceiling as he listens to your gentle breathing and thanks every star in the sky that he found you, and that this is his life now.

(I)
“Who are you?”
    JM stared at the screen, seeing the rest of his brothers invited into the chat room. They all started questioning the stranger and what this all meant. Every question was met with a vague response, but there was a point to the whole message, Zone 002.
“How do we believe that?”
“Remember Code B.”
    As JM processed the last message a knock at his door startled him. When he looked back at the screen he could see that the No Name user had left the chat, and none of the others were typing. He got up and checked the door, but there was no one. He stepped out, but there was no movement at all. As he stepped back he glanced down, noticing a flier on the ground. It was an advertisement, an invitation, to Zone 002, a place to discover the truth. JM returned to his desk, staring down at the flier when he noticed a new message.
“I think I know where Zone 002 is.” Jimin commented.  “I just got this-”
“Flier.” DY finished. “I got one just now.”
“Me too.” “Same.” “Really?”
“Doesn’t this feel wrong?” JM questioned. “We all got brought into this chat room by some stranger, and now we have these fliers for Zone 002?”
“Something is off.” Bain agreed. “But they spoke about learning the truth. Do you think they-”
“No way.” Geonu cut in. “There’s no way anyone knows who we are or where we came from.”
“But maybe we can find out.”
“Huh?”
“We didn’t grow up in the capital, surely our memories have been messed with. Maybe they’re buried.”
“The flier does talk about discovering the truth about oneself.” Sangwoo added. “Maybe that is what we need.”
“To what end?” Jimin questioned. “Why would we want any more information about that place?”
“Because there’s someone there…”
    Sangwoo didn’t need to give a name, or say anything more for them to get the message. They all had the same idea running through their heads.
“I’m going.”
    JM made his comment and left the chat. He didn’t want to hear any disagreement, if there was any. Regardless of what the others chose to do, and he wouldn’t judge, he was going to do this. He glanced down at the flier, and then at the marks on his arm. He didn’t let them heal properly, wanting the little scars there as a reminder, so he’d never forget that night.
    There was a sense of relief for the boys to find each other at Zone 002, knowing they were all on the same page. As they entered they scanned their IDs, finding the place to be very quiet, and empty, but it wasn’t abandoned. There was a bunch of technology around, six glass cases, and everything seemed live and up to standards. So someone was running this place. As they were about to start touching things a hooded figure entered. They all glanced at each other, but Jimin stepped up.
“We were told we could find the truth here.”
“If that is what you seek, then you must look within.”
“Yeah, we get that.” DY said. “The flier mentioned it. We’re asking how?”
“You must go on a journey of self discovery, but be warned, if you wish to proceed, there are consequences.”
“Any more vague?”
    A door behind the hooded figure opened, and they gestured for them to enter. They all glanced at each other, but proceeded. The room was really just a closet, and it seemed they needed to change into specific clothes. They found things in their size and changed. As they stepped out of the room they saw six pairs of glasses on a stand.
“Take one and choose your location.”
“Location?” Bain wondered. “What does that mean?”
    The figure gestured to the glass cases, prompting the boys to share another look. They had yet to get a straight answer on what was going on, but they were supposed to get the truth, and that’s what they wanted. JM was the first to grab a pair and step into one of the cases, taking a deep breath. He already didn’t like any of this, but there was no point backing out now. Once they were all in place the figure spoke again.
“There will be some discomfort.”
“What-”
    It all happened so fast no one could have avoided it. A sudden sting, multiple stings, were felt against their back. They were all frozen from the pain, and only really able to grasp what had happened from glancing at those across and around them. Geonu was one of the first to be able to regain any movement, slowly glancing back to see all these wires and tubes connected to him.
“What the fuck…” Geonu struggled to speak. “… is this…”
“To reveal the truth you must look within. In a moment you’ll be transported deep into your subconscious to face your greatest-”
“You mentioned… consequences…” DY cut in. “… care to… explain now…”
“You’ll be sent into your subconscious. If you cannot come to terms with the truth you’ve denied within a certain time frame you will not return.”
“What!”
“We didn’t sign up for this!” Bain screamed. “Stop this, now!”
“The truth comes at a price. You agreed to pay it when you chose to come here.”
“Bullshit.”
“How long do we have?” Sangwoo asked. “And if we don’t…”
“12 minutes and 52 seconds.”
“That’s very specific…”
“There is a signal to alert you as you approach the end of your time.”
“But how do we get out?” JM questioned. “Once we-”
“You will know. We will now begin.”
    A hissing sound filled their ears, and they all began to feel tired, feeling like something was dragging them down. Despite that they didn’t collapse to the ground, merely seeing how their world faded to black and soon their senses followed them into the void. It was an eternity that passed in an instant before they opened their eyes.
Tumblr media
    Each boy found themselves somewhere foreign and yet familiar, although some had it easier than others. JM took in his surroundings, seeing he was in the back of a car with no one in the driver’s seat, and his surroundings were ablaze. He didn’t hesitate, trying to escape his metal hell, and eventually getting out. Geonu could see nothing but himself. Surrounded by mirrors, his reflection went on for eternity, sharing in his confusion and fear. As far as he knew there was no escape. On the other hand DY wasn’t sure of his situation. This wasn’t his room, not what he was used to, but it felt like his. Although he didn’t like how spacious everything was, and the fact that beyond what he had, there was nothing but emptiness.
    Bain found himself in absolute darkness. Unable to see anything, but feeling the restraints that weighed on his body. As he moved around he could feel a desk before him, and then the soft whispers began. He couldn’t make it out well, but he knew where he was without needing to see anything. Sangwoo on the other hand found himself in a different type of darkness, alone with nothing in sight. He couldn’t see far, the only light provided limiting his vision, and soon he began to hear footsteps around him he found a shadowy figure running towards him, prompting him to run in the opposite direction. Meanwhile Jimin was left with his own confusion. Pieces of bath tile around to create a tub full of water. He saw nothing here to cause danger, although as he dipped his hand into the water he felt a familiar sense of cold.
    None of them could understand what was happening. Maybe there was some sort of mistake, but that didn’t change the fact they were supposed to escape from this place. The second JM tried to step away from the crash, fire surrounded him, keeping him trapped. As DY attempted to get out of bed he noticed a black fog rolling in, pushing him to pull up his feet and stay where he felt safe. Geonu felt that there had to be a way out, so he started pushing on the glass, but nothing moved, and he wasn’t even sure where he had started. Eventually Sangwoo had stopped to catch his breath, feeling like he was just running in circles, but his pursuer was still after him
    Bain continued his struggle, trying to break free from his restraints. The more he tried the louder the voices became, making him scream for them to stop. This was definitely a fear of his, but he didn’t know what to do. Jimin on the other hand was trying to figure out what the water meant. He knew there was a deeper connection, but all he could do now was dip his hand into the tub, reaching out for a memory. It was on the tip of his tongue, he could feel it, but he had no idea how to get his hands on it. Then he heard a voice. He glanced out into the darkness, trying to find someone, but there wasn’t anyone else. At first he couldn’t make out what was being said, but then it became clear.
“You jumped.”
    At first Jimin didn’t understand, but the voice repeated itself, getting louder and louder, slowly becoming his own until it clicked in his mind. He stared down into the tub, looking at his own reflection. He reached into the water, the chill he felt bringing it all back. The night they escaped from the capital, as he remembered what freedom was, he happily jumped to embrace it again, not knowing what he had left behind.
“I jumped… without you…”
    Jimin fell to his knees, his hands turned to fists. He was angry, he was guilty, but most of all he felt hatred, and it was directed at himself. He should have known something was off the second you started pushing them over the edge. Instead of jumping to freedom with you, he left you behind. That shouldn’t have been goodbye, and his choice has always weighed heavy on his heart. He knew the others probably felt guilty over that night too, but he didn’t know if they hated themselves the way he did.
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry…”
“Is this not what you wanted?”
    DY was hugging his knees to his chest when he heard a voice. It took a moment but then he recognized it as his own. He looked around, thinking he’d find something or himself, but there was nothing but darkness. For a moment he thought to get up but that fog got closer and he stayed put.
“What are you afraid of?”
“I… I don’t know…”
“But you’re free… aren’t you?”
“What… freedom? This isn’t freedom.”
“You’re not locked away, being controlled by others, are you not free?”
    DY looked at his surroundings, thinking things over. One might think he was free, but this wasn’t really what he wanted. He and his brothers had to go separate ways to stay safe, and because of that he felt trapped in something else completely, something he could only realize now as he thought it over.
“I’m… alone…”
“But free.”
“I’m not! This isn’t…”
“Why are you alone?”
“Because… because…”
    Even if he wasn’t with his brothers, he knew he could reach them in an instant if necessary. Although there was someone he couldn’t reach.
“… she’s alone… we… I left her alone…”
“But you wanted to be free.”
“Not like this…”
    Geonu could only stare at his endless reflections, frustrated with himself and his lack of understanding. This place was a prison of his own making, and he couldn’t understand what he was trying to tell himself.
“Who are you?”
    A voice startled him, as he had nothing but silence up until then. He looked around, but it was just himself, and all his reflections were his own. He thought this would quickly dissolve into some horror film, but the voice remained disembodied.
“Who are you?”
“What?”
“Who are you?”
“What kind of question is that?”
“Who are you?”
“Stop it!”
    The question kept repeating and repeating, Geonu was certainly losing his mind. He slammed a fist against the glass, but it didn’t break. He wasn’t expecting it to, but he was surprised there wasn’t even a crack. It didn’t stop the voice, if anything, the moment of pause made him realize the voice was his own.
“Who are you?”
“What does that mean!? What are you asking me!”
“Who are you?”
“Stop!”
“Who are you?”
“I don’t know! I don’t…”
    Geonu stared at his reflections, the words ringing in his ear, and ringing true. He had no idea who he was. Compared to his own self from the capital, he was more of a person now, but even then, he wouldn’t even be who he is today if not for you. As he stared at himself he could only feel guilt. Without you he wouldn’t know anything, and he couldn’t even thank you for that.
“Who am I…”
“What are you afraid of?”
    Despite all the voices, one stood out to Bain, his own. It caused him to pause in his struggles, not sure if he heard correctly, but the question was repeated. His blindfold fell and he could finally see what he had known all along. He was back in the capital, and this time escape didn’t seem possible. The ropes holding him in place disappeared into darkness, and he had no room to move.
“What are you afraid of?”
“You know!”
“Do you?”
“Of course!”
    Bain tried again to escape, but his struggles were in vain. He thought to slam his head against the desk, but he felt defeated by his own rage. This wasn’t real, he knew that, just a creation of his subconscious. He was afraid of winding up back here, back in hell with no escape. Although his fears were someone else’s reality. Being back here, even if it was a dream, was a reminder of who had taken his place.
“It should be me…”
“Why are you running?”
    Sangwoo had been expecting someone, but not a voice, let alone his own. The sudden surprise caused him to stumble and he collapsed to the ground seeing that his stalker caught up to him. He stared up at the masked figure. Even if he couldn’t see their lips, he knew they were the one talking. It was creepier given it was his own voice too.
“Why are you running?”
“Who are you!”
“You.”
    Sangwoo didn’t need to process the answer before it was staring right at him. The mask was removed and he saw himself. He didn’t understand, let alone the implications this whole thing meant. He crawled back, but he couldn’t find the strength to actually get up and run.
“Why are you running?”
    He couldn’t think of an answer, but deep down he knew, so the truth just spilled out. It surprised him, but he wouldn’t stop.
“I’m afraid.”
“Of what? Yourself?”
“Of what I could be… what they wanted me to be…”
“But you’re free.”
“Am I… or am I running from the truth…”
“Which is?”
“What I did… where I left her…”
    JM may have gotten out of the burning car, but he couldn’t escape the scene. The fire around him kept him trapped, and any attempt to flee just made the flames grow. He didn’t know what to do and it was driving him mad. He screamed into the void, and he didn’t expect an answer.
“What’s the problem?”
“Huh?”
    JM looked around, but there was nothing but fire. He screamed out again, as that seemed to get him a response. Although he didn’t have time to question why his own voice answered him.
“What’s wrong?”
“I… what?”
“What’s wrong? Don’t you know what to do?”
“What? How would I know that?”
“You do, don’t you?”
“I don’t! There’s fire all around and… where even am I?”
“Are you lost?”
“What?”
“Are you lost?”
    JM couldn’t respond, because the answer was so obvious. He was. He glanced back at the car, specifically the driver’s seat. He wasn’t in control, just a passenger without direction. He felt lost, he was lost. The whole world was new and foreign to him, and yet he had been left to navigate it on his own. Despite his efforts, he still felt lost, knowing he was missing someone. He didn’t know what to do without you, and just like now, he had no control back then. You disappeared from his life in an instant, how could he not wind up in a wreck.
“Of course I’m lost without you…”
    He didn’t know what to do, how to escape this fire or even survive. He was stuck here just as he is stuck in the real world. If one could even call that real. All he was really doing was going through the motions, but here, he had to face the truth. They had all been trying to move on, to live their lives as you wanted, but burying the truth, their guilt, wasn’t easy. Now that they were here, facing themselves, they couldn’t hide any longer. They themselves had spoken the truth, revealed the guilt that plagued them all. That’s when they noticed the black butterfly.
Tumblr media
    It was so out of place in their false realities, but also a reminder this was just them talking to themselves. They could do something about the truth they were facing. They had a chance to make things right, and they intended to. First things first though, they needed to escape this hell of their own making. That was easier said than done, Jimin thought of submerging himself as a means to wake up, but that wasn’t entirely working, just making the memories of that day all the more painful. Yet in his haze he seemed to recall some advice, they all did. Whoever sent them here also gave them a way out.
Code B
Tumblr media
    One by one they surface to consciousness, stumbling out of the glass cases. They were all trying to catch their breath, ripping away the glasses on their face. Jimin was trying to recover, but also looking around to make sure the others were with him. Everyone was accounted for, except there was no sign of the hooded figure from before. Once they had regained their breath they remained on the floor, still processing.
“So…” Geonu began. “That was something…”
“Let’s never do that again.” DY added. “Ever.”
“Why did we do it again?” Bain asked. “What was the point?”
“Finding the truth.” JM said. “I don’t know about you guys, but I know… I found it…”
“Me too.” Sangwoo seconded. “I can’t… I can’t keep running…”
“We’ll find her.” Jimin assured. “We have too.”
“But where do we start?” Geonu questioned. “We can’t storm the capital. Hundreds of people tried years ago, and they’re all dead. We’re just six guys…”
“If anything that means we can’t do this alone.” Bain added. “And we need a really good plan.”
“What we need is information.” JM stated. “We don’t know anything about the capital or whatever it is they’re doing. If we know our enemy, then we can fight them.”
“And we can find y/n…” Sangwoo mumbled. “Right?”
“Yeah.” DY confirmed. “But how do we get intel on the enemy?”
“Let’s get out of here first.” Jimin suggested. “We can figure out the rest from there.”
Tumblr media
    Ever since things went down in Zone 002, DY kept having the same dream. He found himself somewhere strange, yet so beautiful. He couldn’t imagine where such a place existed, but he was here regardless. He seemed to be alone, finding a scarf, and seeing the black butterfly from the simulation turn white. The same things happened over and over, but he didn’t get any closer to understanding what it meant. It felt so real, but he couldn’t ponder on it too much as there were other things to focus on.
    The boys decided to be together again, but that still wasn’t getting them closer to you. Despite their determination they seemed to be at a standstill, that is until the answer hit them right on the head. As Bain was out in the city it finally clicked.
“We have not found Just B… report to the Zone 003 control center immediately…”
Tumblr media
    Bain returned to the group to share his plan with them. They were fugitives on the run, so moving around wasn’t easy, but the solution they needed was. Sort of. The news was constantly reporting on them, and asking any and all information on them to be reported to Zone 003’s control center. If they wanted information, that place would surely have it. They all followed his train of thought, coming to the same conclusion. The first step to finding you was breaking into Zone 003’s control center and getting the information they needed. None hesitated to get on board, now it was just a matter of executing their plan.

Requested by @irishxgem: Hi, may I request an imagine about Woo Dohwan’s character, Gunwoo, in “Bloodhounds”? The reader and Gunwoo are dating and he has to save her in a bad situation. You can based it off the entire series or just a episode. Can you also make it fluffy and suggestive too? Thanks! 😊
Genre/WARNINGS: angst, fluff, blood, death, spoilers for Bloodhounds epeisodes 5-7 (mainly)
Word Count: 2,501 words
A/n: I did get a bit carried away I think but I just could not stop writing and it is now 2:30am. I ended up not doing anything suggestive but I can always do a second part...or lord forbid another series because I definitely have time for that. But yeah, please enjoy! Also I will never get over episode 6 of this show. How fucking dare this writer play with my heart like that? So many tears. So so many.
Tumblr media
You couldn’t help but be on edge in the unfamiliar house, even if you had been staying there for a few days now. Having grown up in and known nothing but poverty, you felt out of place and uncomfortable in the lavish home despite Mr. Choi’s constant reassurances that there was nothing for you to worry about and that it was his call to the doors to his home for you and Geonwoo’s mother after the incident.
A part of you couldn’t help but feel guilty about being the reason why the two of you had been attacked at their home in the first place. It hadn’t been long since you’d moved in with your boyfriend and his mom after having struggled to pay the rent for your small apartment due to being let go in the midst of the pandemic. You honestly thought that it was Geonwoo at the front door not remembering the passcode to the door for whatever reason - apart from being intoxicated, he never drank under any circumstances. If only you hadn’t opened the door that night, you could both be in the comfort of your own space. If only you had put up more of a fight that night maybe then none of this would be happening.
But it was happening. It had happened and there was nothing anyone could do to change it. Not even the drinks that were being passed around were helping with that. Geonwoo got up from beside you helping a very drunk Woojin up from the couch and taking him to his room promising to be back in no time. Yangjung and Dooyoung got up as well heading outside presumably for a smoke given the shoving and patting of their hands in their respective pockets, the latter being slightly more tipsy than the former.
You weren’t necessarily in the loop of whatever it was that had taken place for them to decide to celebrate with so much alcohol, but you had been awake and sitting in the kitchen waiting for them to arrive and were very much relieved to see all of them in one piece - especially Geonwoo.
“You should get some rest too,” Mr. Choi suggested warmly. “He’s here safe and sound and nothing’s going to happen to him.”
The old man had picked up on your constant worry for the young boxer. Not that he could blame you for it. Despite being more than capable of standing his ground, he had a soft heart and could sometimes be too kindhearted for his own good.
“Will you be alright on your own down here?” you asked, not wanting to leave him alone in case he needed something but wasn’t able to get it.
“I’ll be fine. I doubt it’ll be long before Geonwoo or one of the other two comes back anyhow. Go get some sleep.”
You nodded getting up and heading upstairs running into your boyfriend just as he was closing the door to his mother’s room. He smiled softly as he noticed you, instantly pulling you into a strong embrace which you returned. Both of your bodies seemed to relax in each other's arms, relishing in the moment the two of you got all to yourselves.
“Are you heading off to bed?” he asked quietly, not pulling away from you just yet.
You nodded your head against his chest listening to the steady rhythm of his heart, “Apparently I’m not as good at hiding my fatigue as I thought I was.”
“You were never really good at that.”
You lightly smacked his back, earning a soft laugh as he pulled away, walking you to your room but not going into it. Wishing you a goodnight, he pressed a loving kiss to your forehead, only walking away once you closed the door after doing the same - except you only managed a kiss to his cheek due to the height difference. Once you laid down on the lush mattress you were out within ten minutes, getting a goodnight’s rest for the first time in a while.
~~~
A soft knock to your door rustles you from your slumber before Geonwoo’s voice fills your ears, “Breakfast is ready downstairs in the kitchen. Hyunjoo and I are going to take Mom to the orphanage so we’ll be gone for about an hour. Woojin is still asleep and Yangjung just left, but Mr. Choi is awake and in his room, I think.” You mumbled something even you couldn’t comprehend turning over earning a soft chuckle from him as he neared bending down to press a kiss to your cheek, “I’ll take you to the train station so you can head to hospital in the countryside when we get back.”
Your eyes opened and your mind began working. That’s right. While his mom was going to the orphanage until everything got resolved you were going to a hospital Mr. Choi regularly donated to. He thought it’d be safe if the two of you were at different places to throw Myeonggil’s men off. While the orphanage was only an hour drive away, the hospital was even further away, making it illogical to simply drive you there and back, regardless of how much safer it would be to do so.
“Make sure you eat before I get back,” he said before leaving, closing the door as softly as he could.
You didn’t linger in bed for long before getting up and washing up quickly, packing the few things you had into a duffle bag and taking it with you to the living room, dropping it next to the doorway before making your way back to the kitchen. Woojin was also up by now eating happily as the soup that had been left for you helped with his hangover.
“I thought you said you were a good drinker,” you joked sitting across from him back to the windows.
“I am,” he defended. “I just-” His eyes widened as he looked past you and out the window near the sink. You turned to look at whatever it was that had caught his eye not seeing anything - or rather not being tall enough to see anything from where you were sitting. “Come with me. Now.” he stood up quickly, grabbing your arm as best as he could and dragging you with him to Mr. Choi’s room, closing the sliding door as quietly as possible.
“Kim Myeonggil’s thugs are here!” Woojin rushed out as he knelt beside the old man.
Mr. Choi looked as equally perplexed as you did before pulling out his phone and opening up the live security feed around the house revealing all of the men surrounding the home and main gate entrance. “Let’s go to the basement. There’s a gun.”
Woojin nodded, going back to the door and opening it as you pushed the wheelchair as quickly as you could without making much noise. It was no use because as soon as the three of you exited the room windows were being broken giving the thugs a chance to open the doors and enter the house.
“I’ll stay behind. Hurry and get the gun,” Woojin ordered as he rushed to get a chair, beginning to fend off some of the men to buy the two of you some time.
You put the wheelchair on the elevator sending Mr. Choi, down before moving to take the stairs only to rush back as the large windows near the elevator were shattered, glass flying everywhere. The men rushed at you blocking the path to the stairs and forcing you to walk backwards in order to keep some distance between you and them. Woojin came up behind you wielding a metal bat and swinging it but not landing a single hit at any of them.
“Go to a room!” he ordered but you couldn’t as the men formed a semicircle, cornering you next to the elevator without anywhere to go but down.
Noticing your situation, Woojin finally attacked, keeping himself between you and the thugs at all times in order to try and clear a path for at least you to get out of there and hide somewhere. A man larger than the rest came forward throwing a chair at the two of you as you stuck next to the railing. Woojin pushed you towards the kitchen entryway - as it was now free of any men urging you to run - before being kicked in the jaw by another man as he went to stand up to buy you time. All of the men turned their attention to the basement rushing down the stairs with gunshots beginning to ring.
Despite the constant yells from Woojin for you to run, you didn’t. You couldn’t leave him there alone to fight the guy even if he was a boxer. You wouldn’t be able to live with the guilt of knowing you could help but didn’t. You attacked the man from behind with a broken chair leg, the force strong enough to turn his attention away from Woojin but not knock him out. It was, however, enough for Woojin to get a number of hits in, before he was put in a choke hold by his opponent. His legs were wrapped for Woojin’s, but the boxer was able to strike him in his side repeatedly whilst you attempted to help him by prying at his arms, completely oblivious to the knife attached to his belt until it was too late and it stabbed into your side over and over again, sending you into shock as you were shoved off of him.
Your eyes remained on the scene before you watched as the same knife that had just wounded you was repeatedly forced into Woojin’s body before he too was thrown aside, eyes hazed over and looking up at the ceiling. You were fading in and out of consciousness struggling to stay awake, finally losing the battle. All you heard was Mr. Choi yelling both of your names over and over again before more shots rang out, followed by complete silence and darkness.
~~~
Geonwoo and Hyunjoo rushed into the house from different entry points, the former yelling both of your names as he entered from the back. He was quick to spot both of your bodies laying in the kitchen in puddles of your mixed blood. Clothing stained and soaked in the thick, red, metallic smelling liquid. Your body was closest to him, and he picked you up, struggling with the dead weight of your body to get you out of the house. Laying your body on the grass he rushed back to get Woojin struggling even more and practically dropping him beside you. He pressed his face near his friend’s, managing to feel soft, faint breaths leaving him. His hands pressed down onto his stomach as more blood spilled out, leaning over to see if you were breathing or not, feeling his heart break as the slow and even fainter breaths left your body.
He yelled over and over for Hyunjoo not wanting to leave either of you lest you both lose even more blood than you already had or stop breathing completely. She didn’t come and he was forced to leave the two of you, hoping you would still be alive when he came back as he went back inside looking for Hyunjoo and forcefully ripping her away from Mr. Choi’s broken and bloodied dead body before she too died there.
~~~
The force with which Geonwoo was trying to get the blood out of his jacket was immense. Giving up he rushed back out to the waiting room seeing a nurse speaking to Hyunjoo who was having a complete breakdown not being able to get words out of her lips.
“There’s not enough blood for them!” she sobbed out.
The nurse asked for his blood type before whisking him away to take some from but not before he reassured the sobbing girl who had just lost the only person she’d considered family and was close to losing two more that he would save both of you, no matter what it took.
“Is it enough for both of them?” Geonwoo asked as the nurse removed the needle from his arm after two bags were filled.
“No,” she replied. “We’ll need a couple more for each of them.”
“Let me fill up another one.”
The nurse looked at Geonwoo stoically, “We already took 320ml. If we take any more it’ll be dangerous for you.”
“I’m alright. I’m a boxer. It’ll take more than this to kill me.”
The nurse shook her head, reaching to remove the elastic band from his arm, stopping when he grabbed her arm, “Please I have to save them,” he cried out. “Please let me fill up another one. Please!” The nurse was conflicted seeing the agony the young man was in, but knowing that she couldn’t allow him to give any more lest he also end up in a similar state as his friend and girlfriend - sans stab wounds.
“You should eat these,” she said after having removed the needles again, having allowed him to donate another bag of blood after getting approval from a higher up, giving him two bags of crackers. “You have to eat well today.”
“Thank you,” Geonwoo responded, taking them in his hands.
“You’re welcome,” she said, patting his shoulder gently before walking away, letting him leave the room and go back to the waiting area.
Hyunjoo was gone, his bloodied jacket the only thing left in the seat she had been sitting in. He called and called for her looking everywhere around the hospital but not being able to find her eventually, going back to the waiting area hoping she’d come back, which she never did. He was drowsing off in his seat when a soft voice startled him out of his seat, a doctor standing before him.
“Are you Hong Woojin and (y/f/n)’s guardian?” she asked.
He nodded.
“Both surgeries went well. We’re currently monitoring their progress but as of right now we do believe they’ll both make a full recovery.”
Geonwoo was overwhelmed with emotions as he bowed over and over again thanking her with tears in his eyes. Relief filled his entire being as part of him finally relaxed knowing the two of you were going to be alright - that you were going to be alright.
“Hang in there,” the doctor said before walking away leaving Geonwoo to grapple with his emotions as he cried more.
It finally hit him that he wouldn’t know what to do with himself if you hadn’t lived. If you had died in the kitchen or on the operating table. If both of you had died…
He didn’t want to think of it. You were fine. Woojin was fine. Despite the fact that he was sure about anyone else, he found solace in the fact that the two of you were going to be fine. All he had to do was hang in there.
Gun Woo Fluff Alphabet (Bloodhounds)
Pairing: Kim Gun-Woo (Bloodhounds) x Reader
Rating: Pure Fluff
Word Count: 4.2k
Author's Note: Back at it with my insane crush on Gun Woo! Thank you to all the anon's sending in Gun Woo headcanon requests, I promise they are all going on my list! And my requests are open for either of the alphabet types for other characters too, I'm having a lot of fun writing them! 🥰
Tumblr media
a -affection (how affectionate are they? how do they show affection?)
As the first romantic interest in Gun Woo's life, it would take him quite a while to get used to being able to be affectionate with you. Every time he reached out to hold your hand he would blush profusely, almost apologetic in his gentle touch. Eventually as he gets more used to being your boyfriend his confidence would grow, and he'd learn how to show affection in his own ways. This would include saving you the seat next to him everywhere he goes, standing or sitting as close to you as possible in every situation, and more often than not, leaning down to place a soft kiss on your cheek any time the urge to touch you gets too overwhelming.
b - beauty (what do they admire about their s/o? what do you think is beautiful about them?)
Gun Woo is not a shallow man, although he does think you are the prettiest person he's ever met. No, this boy can only fall for someone's heart and that's exactly what he does with you. It wouldn't take much time of being your friend to realise how special you are, your kindness, your interests, and maybe most of all, just how safe he feels around you. He's spent so much of his life protecting and caring for others, but when you ask if he's okay or go out of your way to help take care of him, he'd realise he's never felt like that about anyone, and it's something he'd like to keep in his life forever.
It's hard to think of anything about Gun Woo that's not beautiful - he's a statuesque man with a heart of gold. So when he starts putting in an extra effort to spend time around you and find any way he can to help with whatever you're doing, it would be impossible not to fall in love with him.
c- cuddles (do they like to cuddle? how would they cuddle?)
Cuddling wouldn't come naturally to Gun Woo, only because he has little experience of physical affection and most of the time his body is used to fighting rather than loving. That doesn't mean he wouldn't want to cuddle you though, starting off with a more traditional arm over your shoulder after lots of hinting, and flushing completely red the first time you curled up against his broad chest. Eventually he'll get used to opening his arms and letting you collapse into them, but no matter how long you're together you'll still be able to hear his heart hammering in his chest as he feels like the luckiest person in the world to be that close to you.
d - dates (what are dates with them like? do they plan them out or are they spontaneous?)
This boy definitely had to ask both his mum and Woo Jin about where to go on dates and how to be a boyfriend, luckily they would have given him some pretty good advice about making lots of plans with you, but leaving room for spontaneous dates when you both feel like it. Gun Woo would definitely love going for food with you, enjoying showing off his skills and knowledge at a BBQ place and impressing you with cooking the meat perfectly. He doesn't drink but he does know a few cool bars thanks to his friends, and he'll happily be your designated driver if you do want to try a cocktail or two. And if you wanted to go out for a run or a workout together, that would be Gun Woo's absolute favourite, enjoying nothing more than feeling his best and enjoying the outdoors by your side.
e - ending (if they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
It would definitely break Gun Woo's heart to have to hurt someone's feelings, but he would never want to lead someone on so would definitely call it off if he felt like he had to. He'd be very kind but honest with that person, explaining that it's not their fault and keeping it brief and simple, usually a man of few words.
f - fiancee (how do they feel about commitment? how quick would they want to get married?)
Gun Woo's little family means the world to him, so it's only natural that he would very quickly start thinking about forming a formal little family with you. He'd only want that if you did too though, so he'd definitely test the waters before getting too invested in thinking about proposing:
You'd be sitting on the couch on a normal Tuesday night when you realise that Gun Woo has sat up completely straight and turned to face you, looking pensive as you turn off whatever you're watching to give him space to talk. With an almost serious facial expression he would very thoughtfully ask,
"Do you want to get married?" You can feel your heart skip a beat as your boyfriend of only a few months waits for your answer, almost choking out your clarifying question.
"Gun Woo, are you proposing?" His eyes darted wide as he shook his head, only confusing you more, the poor boy now just as lost for words as you are.
"No! Sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant, do you ever want to get married? I know some people don't ever want to, so I just wanted to check. In case..." His voice trails off as he watches a confused look fill your eyes before you respond,
"Do you want to get married, Gun Woo?" A subtle smile traces across his face as he nods, gaze fixed to his feet.
"To you? Very much so." It's hard not to melt at the warmth in his features as he answers, clearly having pictured a future with you already.
"Then I do want to get married." You reply happily, and Gun Woo nods again, his smile growing wider as he coils his arms around you and pulls you to his chest.
"Then I will ask again properly. Another day." He clarifies, already excited to tell his mum the news.
g - gentle (how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
Gun Woo is the definition of a gentle giant. He would never want to do anything that might hurt your feelings, knowing how lucky he is to have you in his life, and all the ways you make his every day better. He would never raise his voice, or get angry, even looking at you with only softness in his gaze. He'd also be incredibly careful with his touch, terrified that he doesn't know his own strength and that he could possibly do harm to the one person he would never want to scare or hurt. He loves the way you tenderly brush his face, or lightly graze his skin, so he'd make a very conscious effort to only touch you equally softly, knowing how nice it is to be on the receiving end of those affections.
h - hugs (do they like hugs? how often do they do if? what are their hugs like?)
I don't think he would necessarily be clingy the way Woo Jin would, even though he loves your hugs. It would be enough just to be around you most of the time, getting the warmth and love of your company. But when he's feeling down, or had a particularly tough day, or if he's had to be apart from you, or even if he's just feeling really grateful for something simple you've done for him, then he would immediately envelop you in his arms, fighting back the urge to squeeze as tightly as he can for fear of hurting you. It would be all consuming to be hugged by Gun Woo, his broad frame wrapped all around you, warmth and musky scent flooding your senses as he nuzzles against your neck, his eyes clenching shut as he focuses on how good it feels to hold you.
i - injury (how would they act if they got hurt?)
Gun Woo is so used to getting hurt that he would almost brush it off if he came home hurt. He's not used to being taken care of, so it would surprise him when you insist on gently wiping the blood from his knuckles, holding a cold cloth to his swollen hands before giving them a final 'kiss better' that has his stomach doing flips. After that, he'll get a little bit more used to telling you when he's hurt, enjoying being looked after by your sweet touches and quietly asking if you could kiss him better in case you forget.
If you're hurt then Gun Woo would try to be very practical, getting ready to take you to the emergency room even if it's only the most minor of injuries. You'll have to reassure him that nothings going to happen to you, and that'll you'll be okay, but he still insists on taking you to his mother's place so she can double check you'll be okay and probably make you some emergency soup just in case.
j - jealousy (how jealous do they get? what do they do when they're jealous?)
He's not an insecure man, or someone who gets angry easily, so I don't think Gun Woo would get jealous very easily. He trusts you to the depths of his heart, so seeing a man talk to you would never get him upset or have him making a scene. The only thing that might get him a little bit jealous is if someone starts taking up more of your time and attention, so you couldn't spend as much time with him, just because you are his favourite person to be around. He might show his jealousy by being a bit more needy when you are around him, clinging to you as you move around and telling you how much he missed you while you were gone.
k- kisses (what are their kisses like? where do they like to be kissed?)
You would be the first person that Gun Woo ever kisses, and he'd be immediately sure that he would want you to be the only person too. At first it would just be tentative little pecks, almost too nervous to touch you, letting you take the lead and pull him closer when you're ready. Once he gets a bit more used to the sensation, Gun Woo would be a lot more eager to kiss you again, taking every private moment as an opportunity to capture your lips against his, his kiss firm and passionate, trying to show every ounce of love he feels for you through his actions. He loves when he can feel you smile against him, and when you drift to kiss down his neck or along his jaw, particularly on the side his scar is on, well you can practically feel him melting into a giggling mess beneath you.
l - love language (what is their love language?)
Gun Woo definitely shows his love through acts of service, wanting nothing more than to help his friends and family and do whatever he can to keep them safe and make their lives easier. When you come into his life and start doing little things to help him out, whether it's giving him a home cooked meal, or helping clean up his cuts after a fight, well that's when he starts to realise just how much he's been missing someone exactly like you in his life.
He is also definitely a quality time man. It doesn't matter if you two are sitting in silence, doing different things, even just being in the same room as Gun Woo means the world to him. Be prepared to feel him stealing little glances from time to time, and smiling to himself every time he does, so grateful to be so comfortable by his side.
m - mornings (how are mornings spent with them?)
Gun Woo is definitely an early bird, and it would mean a lot to him if you would sometimes wake up early with him, especially if you join him for a morning workout. But don't worry if you're not really an early morning person, Gun Woo would take a lot of joy of sneaking out of bed without waking you up, taking a few moments to memorise your peaceful sleeping expression and feeling like he was running on air knowing that he's running home to you. If by the time he gets back you're up and working on breakfast, be prepared for him to wrap you in his arms and sweep you off your feet, his adoration for you the only thing he's thought about all morning.
n - nights (how are nights spent with them?)
He's a bit more slow moving in the evening, winding down for the day by lounging with his arms around you, waiting until you start to yawn before suggesting you two get ready for bed. He loves when you're tired enough from the day that you let him carry you upstairs, feeling grateful for every moment he's spent exercising when he can lift you easily and feel you get cosy against his chest.
o - open (when would they start revealing things about themselves? do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
Gun Woo will happily tell you all the basic information about his life from the moment he meets you, his experience with Woo Jin's friendship showing him the value of being open and honest with new people. However he's very used to hiding his emotions and putting on a brave face when he feels like someone is depending on him, so it would take him a lot longer to start telling you when he's having a difficult day or feeling sad or scared. Every time he does, and you comfort him without pity or judgement, he feels like it gets easier to share, and now you're the first person he talks to on his best or worst days.
p - patience (how patient are they usually? what tends to wear their patience thin?)
Gun Woo is the master of patience between his strenuous training and his military service. He'll never get frustrated when it comes to waiting for you, or having to explain things, grateful when you give him the same patience as he slowly adjusts to being a boyfriend, sometimes through the process of trial and error. The only thing that might wear his patience thin is if he hears you talk down to yourself time and time again, frustrated and sad that you can't see yourself the way he does, as easily the most special person in the universe.
q - quality time (how do they like to spend with you?)
Gun Woo just wants to be wherever you are. He loves when he gets to do his favourite things with you, like working out and running, or cooking and eating, and when you come to watch him box it means the world to him. But he also wants to do all your favourite things with you, even if it's something he's never been interested in before, he would try absolutely anything if it meant getting to learn a bit more about you and spend that time together.
r - remember (what is their favourite moment in your relationship?)
When Gun Woo started to fall in love with you, he started to feel self conscious of the long scar down his face, and wondering if he was wrong for turning down the offer of help to improve its healing and appearance. He doesn't think you would judge him on his looks, if you even like him back at all, but he still finds himself trying to sit on a certain side of you, or wearing a mask more to block the scar from your view. He never worried about how his scar would affect his life until he found someone he wanted to grow his life with, growing more and more upset by it until one day Woo Jin calls him out on it, in front of you:
Gun Woo was forced to sit on the other side of you, his scar in plain view, and found himself awkwardly leaning his arm over the back of the chair to rest his face in his hand to hide it.
"Hey, why are you sitting like that weirdo?" Woo Jin teases, laughter turning to concern as his friend breaks into a frown, avoiding eye contact with either of you as he shrugged.
"Just saving both of you for looking at my cheek." He mumbled, trying to play it off, but the pain behind his words was more than a little obvious to the two of you.
"I thought you liked your scar now bro? You're not having second thoughts about the surgery for it?" Woo Jin pries, noticing the way his friend keeps throwing troubled glances in your direction.
"What do you think?" Gun Woo turns to you, reluctantly letting his hand drop from his face so you can take a better look.
"Let me see." You pretend to really consider his face for the first time, something you found yourself doing a hundred times before anyway, lifting the edge of one finger to gently tilt his chin up, trying not to smile at the obvious blush your slight touch brings him. You lean your face in close to really take in every detail of him, watching his sadness melt away as you smile as you look over his features, scar included and nod to yourself,
"I don't think you need to worry about how it looks, especially since you got it from being pretty heroic." Gun Woo smiled, satisfied with your answer, and surprised when you added, "And for what it's worth, some people like scars." He scanned your eyes felt any hint of pity or deception, but noticed instead a hint of rosy warmth flooding your cheeks as you looked almost bashful at your words, letting go of his jaw and smiling to yourself as you looked to Woo Jin for reassurance, who was busy grinning at his now elated friend, who suddenly felt like nothing in the world could keep him from trying to win your heart.
s - security (how protective are they? how would they protect you? how would they like to be protected?)
Oh boy is Gun Woo protective of you. He can't help it, he's protective of everyone around him and because you are the most important person in his life that goes ten fold for you! Whenever you two walk anywhere together he'll always be shoulder to shoulder with you to make sure everyone knows you've got him by your side, and if you ever need to walk somewhere in the dark you best believe Gun Woo is coming to meet you, whether you ask him or not. He believes in being a gentleman, from opening doors and pulling out chairs, to making it his job to keep you safe from all the danger he knows is out in the world.
t - try (how much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
Gun Woo would always try his best to show you how much you mean to him at every opportunity. He would never take having you in his life for granted and would put the effort into every day domestic tasks to show you how committed he is to building a little home with you; you don't even have to ask for him to do things like buy groceries or clean parts of the house, the things that really show he's ready to settle into a life with you. He's a little bit more clueless when it comes to anniversaries and gifts since he's new to this whole relationship thing, but he'll always try his best to get you something special, and he'd never forget the important dates for the two of you.
u - upset (how do they act when you're upset? how do they act when they're upset?)
Gun Woo's default is to hide his negative feelings from those around him, putting on a brave face in public and waiting until he's alone to collapse into tears. It would take him a long time to get used to letting you see him in the moments he feels weak, but he knows how much he values being the person in your life that you tell about your bad days, so he wants to do that for you too. Gradually he realises just how much better he feels when he shares his problem with you and you throw your arms around his neck, pulling him close while he cries, and gets more open with you about his feelings.
When you're upset Gun Woo's first thought is always finding a solution, something tangible he can do to make this situation better. You might need to explain to him that sometimes you just want to talk and be upset and have him be there for you without needing to fix the problem, but eventually he'll start getting better at knowing when to just listen and hold you.
v - vanity (how concerned are they with their looks?)
Gun Woo knows all the things his body is capable of, and with the exception of having to get used to his new scars, he doesn't really think much about how he looks. He tends to default to athletic clothes given the life he leads, but he'd definitely try a new outfit or haircut if you suggested he might look handsome in it.
w - wildcard (a random headcanon for them.)
I think Gun Woo would really struggle to accept help at first. It's a natural part of a relationship to take care of each other, particularly when you share a home, but having spent most of his life taking care of the people around him, it's a big adjustment for Gun Woo to let someone else look after him for a change. The first time you cook or clean something for him, or even just do him a small favour, he'll be extremely apologetic and insist that you don't have to do things like that for him, already trying to think of ways to pay you back. You'll have to sit him down and take his hands in yours, and gently explain that you've seen the way he always takes care of everyone else, and that it's amazing of him but everyone needs help sometimes, and so can he please let you be the person to look after him occasionally? He'll immediately become a blushing, smiling mess, nodding and apologising for not accepting your help in the first place, practically collapsing into your lap for the rest of the night.
x - x-ray (how easily are they able to read you?)
Gun Woo's not a natural people-person so he might not always know when something is on your mind straight away. You need to get used to being direct with him at first, telling him when he's said something that's upset you, or when you're in a bad mood and need him to do something to help you. He's always more than happy to do what you say, and the longer you two are together, the easiest it becomes for him, but it's not something he'll even find easy.
y - yuck (what things do you do that they hate?)
Gun Woo is very old-fashioned in a lot of ways, and he'll find it a bit off putting if you do something that goes against that code - like disrespecting an elder (even if they deserve it.) That being said if you are the one to open a door or pull out a chair for him, he finds that adorable, giving you his happiest little smile as he proudly follows you.
z - zzz (what is a sleep habit of theirs?)
Gun Woo is so used to sleeping alone that at first he actually finds it a little bit difficult to fall asleep with you lying beside him - he's so excited to have you so close, and he can't quite force himself to stop looking at you long enough to close his eyes, suddenly self conscious of how much space he takes up in bed, not wanting to overstep any unspoken boundaries. When you realise that he's struggling, you intentionally shuffle closer to him, showing he doesn't need to be so worried about touching you. You'd whisper kind things to him in your softest voice, and trace shapes across his arm and back with your fingertips until you can feel his muscles relax into cosy sleep, finally drifting off yourself. Now Gun Woo's starting to realise he can't sleep without you next to him anymore.
“Jump!”
    The boys stared out at the world before them. It was like nothing they could have imagined, but then again, they didn’t know what to expect. As they looked out at what was beyond the broken bridge, they couldn’t help but wonder what to do next. That is until a voice came to them, providing a solution. They carefully walked to the edge, seeing water below them, and what could only be described as a purple dot.
“Jump!”
    The voice spoke again, but it didn’t inspire any of them. Collectively they glanced back, seeing the gate and the signs, thinking about what they had just left behind. There was no going back, and they knew it. Geonu knew what choice he had made, and this was just the next one. He glanced at his brothers and gave them an assuring nod before stepping off the edge, and plummeting down to the freezing waters. One by one they followed, and one by one they surfaced, looking around for each other.
“Now what?”
“Over here!”
    Another voice flowed past their ears, and a light came on, illuminating them. A small boat slowly approached them, someone waving. They could see the silhouette of the person waving, but had yet to make out any details. As the boat got closer it stopped, the supposed captain coming to the edge.
“Is this everyone?”
“Ye.”
“Good. I was worried one of you wouldn’t be able to swim.”
    No one moved for a moment, and once again Geonu was the first to take action, swimming towards the boat. That’s when he finally got a good look at the person he could only call his savior, you. Geonu was greeted with a smile, and a hand reaching out to help him. Once he was aboard he helped you get the others on the boat, and then you took your position as captain and steered the boat back to shore. The boat may be small, but it was advanced, once you had the directions set you went to properly greet your guests.
“You’re all shaking.”
    You went over to one of the crates on the boat, getting out some towels and handing them out. They quietly thanked you, huddling up to warm up as well.
“I’ll get right to the basics, I’m y/n. This is my boat, and you’re all welcomed to stay with me for the time being. So who might you all be? Names are fine for now. I can’t imagine what’s going through your minds right now.”
    It took a moment before they introduced themselves, and you were quick to put names to faces. You knew now wasn’t the time to talk so you retreated to the captains place, and left them be. The boys talked among themselves, making sure they were alright. Bain looked back up at the giant tower he had just left behind, still somewhat questioning if this was the right thing. The view didn’t last as the boat went into a hidden tunnel, disappearing into darkness, and eventually coming to a small docking area, which was underground.
“Let’s go. My place isn’t that far from here.”
    There was no trust between the two parties, but right now the boys had no one else, so they followed. Keeping in mind to be cautious, this was uncharted territory for them after all. They walked through these tunnels, very little light illuminating their way, but you walked with confidence, knowing exactly where you were going. You didn’t need a map, taking every necessary turn, although when you came to a dead end there was concern.
“What is this?”
“Are we lost?”
You scoffed. “Of course not.”
    You stepped over to one of the walls and pressed your palm against a bit of concrete. The dead end wall suddenly moved, revealing what was probably some sci-fi fantasy. The area before them was some technologically advanced underground bunker, and they were welcomed in, the wall closing behind them. They all looked around, not having seen such technology outside their study materials.
“Don’t touch anything.”
    While they looked around you went over to the cameras, checking to make sure the area was safe, and then checking the news channels and radio frequencies. Everything seemed to be peaceful, so you could relax for the time being. You took notice of your new guests, seeing how fascinated they were by their surroundings, but what stuck out the most was their clothes. The all white just screamed wrong, and they were still wet.
“Come on, I have some clothes you can sift through. You all need to change.”
    No one wanted to comment on the fact that you were a girl and they were boys, and the exchange of clothes probably wouldn’t work, but you did in fact know that. You brought them over to another room, crates of clothes piled around. There would certainly be something in there for them as it was all miscellaneous. You gave them some privacy to get dressed. They’d come talk to you when they were ready.
“Can we trust her?” Bain asked. “We don’t know her.”
“She’s done nothing but help us so far.” Geonu said. “I don’t think she has bad intentions. You think she’s gonna turn on us or something?”
“I don’t know, maybe.”
“What’s she gonna do? Send us back?”
“We know nothing about this world… let alone her.” DY added. “Like where did she get all these clothes? Why does she have so much?”
“Then let’s keep our guard up.” Jimin suggested. “We’ll see how this goes and if necessary we run. We can take her too, it’d be six against one.”
“Now that just seems excessive.”
“At least we should behave ourselves until we know the way out of this place.”
    They certainly felt better in dry clothes, properly drying their hair as well, and also taking in the fact they were wearing something else besides that dreaded white uniform. They exited the room as a group, finding you sitting in front of a wall of screens. They all played different things, some looking like surveillance footage, others like normal TV. You took notice of them immediately and got up.
“You all look refreshed.”
“Thanks for the clothes.” JM said. “But I have to ask… what do you want from us?”
“What?”
“Why are you helping us?”
You scoffed. “Well, I’m glad you don’t just trust me right off the bat, you shouldn’t really trust anyone. We’ll work on that, but as for your question. Whether you believe me or not, this is the truth. I just wanna know about where you came from, and why you left.”
“That’s it?”
“Yup. It’s pretty simple I know, but I want nothing more from you.”
“Are you part of some kind of resistance group?” Sangwoo questioned. “Is that why you helped us?”
“I’m not part of a group like that, I just help people, and that includes you.”
“How are we supposed to believe you? Or trust you?”
“You have no reason to, but I don’t harbor any ill will towards you. If you really feel like you can’t trust me, then I’ll let you go. I’ll give you some necessities and money and you can be on your way.”
“Seriously?” DY asked. “After everything, you’ll just let us go?”
“Yeah. Just let me make sure you know everything.”
“About what?”
“This world. I can imagine it’s very different from where you came from.”
“So far it seems so. We weren’t taught about the outside.”
“Then I’m afraid I only have some bad news for you.”
“Then just tell us.” Jimin said. “Don’t sugar coat anything.”
“Then you should all take a seat.”
    You gathered around a table in the center of the room. There were enough chairs for everyone with a few left over. You were quiet for a moment, talking about this was never easy.
“The world’s never been perfect. There’s inequality and suffering, but there are always good moments to be had. No one really knows why this happened, but it devastated a lot of people.” You took a breath. “A decade ago, there was a raid. The peace droids broke into homes, scoured the streets, and took children. Supposedly they were genetically favorable, and taken to the capital, here in zone one, which is where you just escaped from.”
“Wait so you’re saying…” Geonu began. “We’ve been there for ten years… and we weren’t… born there? We were taken from our families?”
“I’m sorry…”
“But why? Why didn’t anyone do anything?”
“That’s where things get worse…”
“Worse?”
“The PDs killed the parents of the children they took. So as you can imagine that made matters worse. Family members who were grieving and enraged rallied together, wanting to attack the capitol. They were slaughtered as well. Not many people alive today are related to someone who was lost in the raid.”
“So we’re orphans…” Bain mumbled. “That’s what you’re telling us.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Why! Would anyone do this!”
“We don’t know. The raid happened so suddenly, and after three days it seems they got what they wanted. The bridges to the capitol were destroyed, and any other way in was sealed off. The capitol isolated itself from the rest of the zone and the world. You know what happened to those who tried to fight this. The only explanation given was that the kids showed potential, and were taken to be given a better life.”
“A better life?” Sangwoo scoffed. “That place wasn’t some paradise.”
“So what was it like? In there?”
“It was a nightmare, but we didn’t know it at first.”
“What do you mean?”
“We’re not done talking about the world.” JM interrupted. “How has no one done anything since? It’s been ten years.”
“Because it didn’t work out the first time, and people had to worry about themselves. A lot of resources were pulled, and much of the world had been destroyed, so we had to rebuild. No one really lives in luxury around here anymore, the really rich are in the capitol, and for the most part the rest of us are just surviving.”
“So this place is hell too.”
“I wouldn’t call it that, but you’ll have to work hard to be comfortable.”
“I think we can do that.”
“Well then, I’ll show you the ropes, what to do and what not to do but-”
    You were cut short when you heard someone’s stomach grumble. Everyone looked around to find the source, and Bain wrapping his arms around his stomach said it all. He seemed embarrassed, mumbling an apology.
“I guess they didn’t feed you.” You chuckled. “I can save my questions for later. How about some food, I know a place.”
    The boys followed you out of the bunker, up a ladder into what appeared to be your home. It was spacious, but probably because of how little you had, just the necessities and a few places to sit. Although they didn’t stick around long enough to explore, seeing you hide the entrance to the bunker under a rug, it matched the floorboards perfectly, and then they followed you out into the world.
    They seemed to be in a small town like area, a few people were around, greeting you. The place seemed friendly enough, but it was clear they were in a more rundown area compared to the skyscrapers they could see in the distance. They didn’t go too far from your home before you walked into a pub. It was relatively busy and you walked over to a table, saying hi to a few of the people around too.
“Yuto! Seven bowls of noodles over here.”
“Seven?”
“I have guests.” You noticed the boys standing around awkwardly. “Sit. I’ll be right back.”
    They all quickly sat down as you went off to the kitchen, seeming to be friends with the workers. While you were away they looked around, taking in what bits of culture and life they could. You returned a while later with a tray of drinks, setting them down. The curious faces they had made you laugh.
“You’ve never had cola before? It’s good, I promise.”
    They were nervous to try but seeing you take a sip first gave them some confidence. As you said, it was good. They reacted the same when the noodles and side dishes appeared. The food looked familiar in a sense, but the look and smell were very different. Bain didn’t wait for you to eat first this time, his stomach growling again and he dug in first. Food was always good, but this tasted better than they could have imagined.
“Could we have some meat too?”
“Sangwoo.” Jimin hissed under his breath. “This is enough.”
“Sorry.”
“Y/n!”
    A worker came over, setting down some meat on the table and starting to grill it. The boys watched with excitement, already salivating.
“I didn’t-”
“It’s on the house.”
“Yuto-”
“Come on, when was the last time you had brought guests? Besides, they’re future customers, aren’t they? Gotta treat them well.”
“You’re crazy.”
“And you’re late. I was starting to worry, your usual bowl of noodles was getting cold, but I can see what kept you busy.”
“I told you not to worry about me.”
“How can I not?”
“It’s not that hard, I promise.”
“If you say so.” Yuto took in the boys, smirking. “You boys are lucky to have someone like her around. She’s our secret genius.”
“Secret genius?” Geonu questioned. “What does that mean?”
“Not this again.” You got up. “I’ll be right back.”
    You excused yourself and Yuto took your seat. He gave each of the boys some meat, Bain putting it in his mouth immediately.
“You guys eat well.”
“What did you mean about y/n?” Geonu asked again. “About being a secret genius.”
“Ah, that. She hates the name but it’s true. No one around here is like her.” Yuto explained. “You see back when the raid happened she was living on the streets. When she saw kids being taken she hid, avoiding the whole mess. Seeing how she turned out, I swear she would have been grabbed, so we’re lucky to have her.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. She’s way smarter than the rest of us. No one could possibly do what she does around here. She survived the raid and bettered herself, coming back to her hometown when she was ready.”
“How long have you known her?” JM asked.
“It’s crazy, but four years. I swear I feel like I’ve known her for longer.”
“Stop talking about me.” You returned and Yuto got up. “It’s embarrassing.”
“Who else is gonna tell them how lucky they are?”
“They’ll learn on their own. If they’re smart.”
“Alright, alright, you’ll take over?”
“Of course. Get your ass back in the kitchen.”
“Oh, yes ma’am.”
“And how about another serving?”
“On the house.”
“Thanks.”
    You grilled some more, having some yourself but making sure they ate well too. In the moment they could forget their pasts, their futures, and just enjoy themselves. They smiled and laughed like never before, feeling like this was really the first time they’ve hung out. They felt normal, as if their lives had been ripped away from them, like they finally broke free from someone else’s control. They didn’t even need to sleep, the sun eventually starting to peek over the horizon.
“Alright, I think you guys should call it.” You said. “I don’t know how you had that much energy, and that big of a stomach, but let’s get back.”
    They were all a bit more relaxed now. Full bellies and the dopamine highs allowing a sense of trust to build between you two. You went off to pay the bill, calling Yuto over to the counter, making sure the others didn’t hurt themselves in their stupid happy state.
“You’ve racked up quite the bill. I’ve never seen you spend money like this for anyone.”
“Six mouths to feed is a lot.”
“They must be something special for you to buy them meat. You’ve never done that before, and you nearly cleaned me out of my stock.”
“You know I’m good for it.”
“Yup. I’ll even give you a discount.”
“Fuck no. You need the money and you know it.” You put a lot of bills down on the counter. “And like I said, you know I’m good for it.”
“You’ve gotta let me do a favor for you sometime you know.” Yuto started counting. “How else am I ever gonna pay you back for shit like this.”
“You wanna do me a favor, huh? I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Here.” Yuto held out some bills. “Your change.”
“Keep it. Consider it your tip.”
“Y/n.”
“You can pay that back by giving me a call when your stock is about to spoil. I’ll have it at full price.”
“Y/n.”
“Sorry for keeping you up all night. You should have kicked us out once you closed.”
“You all seemed so happy, besides. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a genuine smile from you. It seems you’re getting along with those new kids.”
“They’re still young and new to everything. One night of pure happiness like this will do them some good.”
“Where’d you find them?”
“In need of help. Tell Wooseok I said hello, and to expect a call from me soon.”
“Will do. Get some rest.”
“You too.”
    Geonu had stepped away from the group, and wound up overhearing your conversation. You were certainly being far too kind for a bunch of strangers, and he appreciated that. You all went back to the house, giggling and laughing on the way.
“I’ll get you some blankets and pillows. You can make some space.”
    There was already plenty of room, and when you came back they set up. You asked them if they wanted to get another set of clothes but they said later. So you let them be, retreating to your room, although one of them followed you.
“Hey, we do owe you some answers.” Geonu said. “We should talk.”
“You just had quite a feast, this is the best time to rest.”
“But-”
“We can talk later, that is unless you plan to run away while I’m asleep.”
“No, nothing like that. We still don’t know everything, do we?”
“I’m not a history teacher, but I do wanna make sure you can survive on your own before you disappear. So stick around, promise?”
“Promise.”
“Now go sleep. After today you guys gotta figure out your lives.”
“Thanks.”
    Geonu returned to the group, seeing they were already under the sheets, half asleep. Geonu took the place that had been left for him.
“Where did you go?” Jimin asked.
“Y/n, we still owe her answers.”
“Oh, what did she say?”
“We’ll talk later.”
“I like her.” JM said. “She’s nice.”
“So nice.” Bain added. “I’ve never eaten so much in my whole life. It was so good.”
“We should probably stay with her.”
“She wants to make sure we can survive on our own.” Geonu stated. “She’s not gonna house us forever.”
“We have to pay her back for a lot.” DY reminded. “So if anything let’s just stay as close as possible.”
“I second that.” Sangwoo said. “We do owe her a lot.”
“Then sleep.” Jimin yawned. “Who knows what she has planned for the day. We’ll stick around either way, together.”
    You were more of a night owl, but these guys needed to do things in the daylight. You let them sleep in till noon, waking them up and tossing snacks onto them. They seemed a bit out of it, probably needing to take a minute to remember where they were, and that they were free.
“Rise in shine. We gotta figure out what to do with you.”
“Ugh… five more minutes.” Bain whined. “It’s too early.”
“It’s noon, get up.”
    They all eventually got up, munching on the snacks, missing the feast they had last night. They cleaned up and you took them down to the bunker to get some fresh clothes. When they were done with that you got to business.
“Alright, as you can imagine, around here people have to work to live. I can help you find work, but I need to know what you’re good at, if anything.”
“What’s your job?” Sangwoo asked.
“This. So, any talents?”
“We trained.” DY explained. “And we played football, don’t know why though.”
“So you’re strong, plus hand eye coordination. I guess you’ll do well with basic labor. That is until you find something better.”
“So we’re starting from the bottom.”
“We all had to start somewhere. Come on, I know a guy.”
    Once again they ventured out into the world with you, seeing how much more alive it was during the day. You greeted practically everyone, seeming to be well known in the area. You moved past what felt more like the housing area to a place where buildings were more spaced out, and businesses were present.  They followed you into what seemed to be a lobby for a garage.
“Wooseok! Get out here.”
“Huh? Yuto said you’d call.”
“I’m calling you out right now.”
“Funny.”
    A man stepped out from the backroom, cleaning his hands with a rag. He took in the strangers, raising a brow.
“What’s with the kids?”
“Brought you some fresh blood. The boys here can handle heavy work.”
“Really?”
“Football players in another life.”
“Alright, alright, let’s see what you got.”
    That’s how it started for them, some labor work to make money, start building themselves up from nothing. They got to know the zone better too, as well as having you educate them on things as it came up. They adjusted well, and the world started to feel like home too. Of course they stayed at your place, and it became theirs too. You never mentioned them leaving, but it was only natural that one day they would. For now, you enjoyed each other’s company.
“Would we ever go to the city?” DY asked.
“It’s rather dangerous.” You said. “Best to avoid it. The city is where the PDs mostly work.”
“PDs.”
“That’s something we haven’t gone over. PD stands for peace droid, they’re basically law enforcement, the majority of it. Of course there are still people, but you get the idea. They’re mostly seen in the city, as those people are worth protecting, unlike those of us outside the city. If they’re ever around these parts it means trouble.”
“Would they know who we are if they saw us?”
“No, well, I wouldn’t think so. They’re machines, if they stopped you for some reason as long as you present your registration they’d take no interest in your looks. Still best to avoid them and stay out of trouble.”
“Noted.”
“We still haven’t talked either.” Jimin said. “About the capitol.”
“Ah… well…”
“We owe you for a lot but we should at least fulfill our end of the deal.”
“I know I just realized that… well, you left for a reason and maybe you didn’t wanna talk about it, so I wasn’t gonna pry it out of you.”
“Still, you really wanted to know when we first met.”
“Then let’s talk back at home. This isn’t a conversation we should have in the open.”
    Of course they didn’t advertise where they came from, and no one asked, just accepting them into the community. To avoid interruptions you went down to the bunker.
“Tell me things at your own pace. I don’t need details, the basics are enough.”
    You were right about it being difficult to talk about, especially now that they were so comfortable in the world. Still, they told you about the capitol, and what they’re life was like. They were always being watched, they had a false sense of freedom, and they weren’t really themselves. The constant drugs kept them docile and unaware of the truth, that is until Geonu missed his medication, starting to see the reality of their situation. He talked with the other and slowly they fought against the system, ultimately breaking out.
“It does sound like hell.”
“It was.” JM said. “Although not knowing why they were doing all this is the worst of it.”
“I can’t even make sense of it. You guys were taken to supposedly have a better life. It doesn’t sound like it.”
“It’s no surprise they lied.”
“Either way, you’re not going back.”
    The talk was good, despite the content, creating a new sense of understanding between all of you. The truth was all you needed from them,and now you had all the more reason to look after them. You knew if this kind of information got out to the world it could cause chaos, they could, but you wouldn’t put them at risk like that. One day things would change, surely, and they didn’t need to be the spark of revolution.
    As the days went by they got more comfortable in your house, although they still slept on the floor. You had managed to get them some mattress so they could at least sleep more comfortably, and they just added that to the list of kindnesses they had to repay you for one day. Although there was also something else they were slowly becoming aware of, the mystery that surrounded you. Despite it all, they didn’t know much, and there were things that just brought up more questions.
“Y/n?” DY yawned. “What are you doing?”
    DY had gotten up at night, getting a glass of water when he had run into you. Going by how you were dressed it was obvious you were going out, and you didn’t plan to tell them.
“There’s something I gotta take care of. I’ll be back later, go back to bed.”
    He didn’t think much of it, partially unsure if the situation was real. Although around sunrise he heard you return. It wasn’t the first time, as they all began to realize once a week you’d disappear into the night. They wanted to ask, but also didn’t want to upset you. Besides, you never came back injured, so they didn’t worry too much, that is until another incident happened.
    This time Bain had been up at night, feeling the after effects of dinner. He was stumbling in the dark, heading to the bathroom. He barged in without realizing you were already there. He was half way through an apology when he noticed your hands, more accurately the pill bottle and pills. They looked eerily familiar, and panic flooded him. His worst fears coming true, that you couldn’t be trusted. He was wide awake now, taking the pill bottle from you.
“What is this!”
“Bain, I-”
“Have you been hiding this from us?!”
    The yelling woke everyone up. Since it was night it was easy to find you both, as it was the only source of light in the house. Everyone was already in a bit of panic, and Bain began to explain, showing them the bottle.
“She…”
    His words trailed off as he got a good look at you, seeing your puffy red eyes, as well as your shaking. He felt guilty as he knew he was the cause for your trembling. Your current state was starting to dawn on everyone as well.
“I… I’m sorry…” You mumbled. “I need medication to sleep sometimes and… I should have mentioned it since… I didn’t know this would upset you… sorry…”
“No, no I…” Bain returned the bottle. “I’m sorry…”
“Thank you…”
    They stood around awkwardly before realizing they should leave and quickly disappeared. Bain was already scolding himself but Jimin added to that.
“What the hell was that!” Jimin hissed. “Did you make her cry?”
“No! I swear I… did I?”
“What were you doing!”
“I just… I saw the… I got scared okay.”
“Scared?”
“The pills just reminded me of… I don’t wanna go back…”
“I know how you feel.” JM added. “Seeing them certainly… felt weird, but they’re just her sleeping pills.”
“I hope she’s okay.” DY said. “I didn’t know she had nightmares.”
“There’s actually a lot we don’t know about her.”
“And it’s not really our business.” Geonu reminded. “She doesn’t pry into our past, and neither should we. Let’s just sleep.”
    None of them actually managed to go back to sleep. They didn’t say anything to each other, but they all wanted to make sure you slept well for the rest of the night. Ready to go to your aid if anything disturbed you, but the rest of the night was uneventful. In the morning though, they were up first, which wasn’t the usual, and realized you were still in bed.
“Should we wake her?” Sangwoo asked. “Or?”
“You want breakfast?” JM teased.
“I don’t trust any of you cooking, hyung. We should probably learn.”
“True.”
“I already called Yuto.” You said, coming to the kitchen, wrapped up in a blanket. “I placed an order, so can one of you go pick it up. Here’s the money.”
    They didn’t comment on your look. It was clear you were exhausted and probably should be in bed, but you still thought of them first.
“I’ll go.” Geonu volunteered, taking the money. “Thank you.”
“I’ll come with you.” DY added. “Keep you company.”
“Just stay out of trouble.” You said. “And don’t be late to your jobs.”
“Yes ma’am.”
“Don’t call me ma’am, I’ve said that many times.”
“Alright, alright. We won’t be long.”
    You retreated to your room when the other two headed out. It wasn’t a long walk, and the smell of food made their stomachs grumble.
“Yuto!” DY called. “Where you at?”
“You here to pick up?”
“Yup.”
“Give me a few minutes.”
“Okay.”
    The two sat down at the bar, last night still fresh on their mind. Yuto stepped out of the kitchen, seeing their faces.
“Are you guys okay?”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Sure. What’s up?”
“Y/n, what does she do?” Geonu asked. “What’s her job around here?”
“Ah… that’s… she keeps the peace around here.”
“How?”
Yuto sighed. “There’s a reason she hasn’t told you about this.”
“About what?” DY questioned. “We’re worried about her, and… we just wanna help…”
“Look, you have to keep this to yourselves, promise.”
“Yes.”
“So… this isn’t easy for anyone but… back during the raid, y/n hid away, but she stayed in dark places for years, learning to survive. She still keeps in touch with that part, doing who knows what to keep the peace.”
“What! Is she crazy!”
“Calm down, I am telling you this so you can stop worrying. She may be involved with dark things, but she’s a good person, you know that.”
“Still… why go through all the trouble?”
“To keep the rest of us safe. Bad things don’t happen around here because she doesn’t allow it. We all owe her a lot.”
“I would have never known.”
“She can take care of herself. I’ve never seen her injured, so I know she’s alright. Although sometimes… sometimes I wish she had been taken.”
“What?”
“If she had been taken… she wouldn’t have suffered so much. She’d be better off, living a better life than this.”
“How can you say that!” Geonu yelled. “That place isn’t better! It’s hell in a way you couldn’t imagine. Life here is much better than anything that place has to offer!”
    It wasn’t until Geonu finished his mini rant that he realized the words that he said. DY yanked him back down, putting on a smile and laughing.
“That place?” Yuto questioned. “You been?”
“Ah… no, I just-”
“That explains a lot actually. I never understood her obsession with the capitol, always watching, waiting for something, anything, to happen. I see that all paid off. It also explains why she’s taken care of you all so much. I won’t say anything, so don’t worry.”
“Thanks.” Geonu mumbled. “Then do you know why she… cares about the capitol so much? Why she was watching?”
“I suppose it’s because she wanted to be right.”
“About what?”
“That life over there wasn’t a paradise. Since you’re all here, I guess she was right. You left for a reason. I suppose life really isn’t all that great.”
“Yeah… it’s something else.”
“Let me finish packing up your food, and remember, this stays between us, and the rest of you boys I guess.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Gosh you guys can be way too formal sometimes.”
    Yuto gave them their order, reminding them one more time that you weren’t a bad person, regardless of the things you were involved with. They returned to the house with the others cheering and diving into the food. The two didn’t mention anything for the time being, agreeing to talk about it later when they weren’t at home. Before they left, JM made sure to let you know they were leaving and that you should eat. On the way to work the others talked about what Yuto had told them.
“That’s so cool!” Bain said. “She’s a secret badass!”
“That’s not the takeaway here.” DY said.
“But it’s cool, you gotta admit that.”
“She must have a lot of power to keep the peace in a small town like this.” Jimin added. “It’s impressive she does it all by herself.”
“And that she keeps it a secret.” JM reminded. “We didn’t know, and I doubt we would have ever found out if she didn’t want us to. Speaking of, how did you guys come across this?”
“Last night…” Geonu began. “Seeing her like that, it made me wonder what the cause was. And we also know every week she disappears at night. I wanted to know, and it all makes sense now.”
“So what do we do?” Sangwoo asked. “With this information. We can’t tell her we know cause she would be upset, right?”
“It wasn’t our business to know in the first place… but I was worried she was in trouble…”
“Then let’s help her.” Bain suggested.
“What?”
“We can be her muscle!”
“She’s never come back injured.” Jimin said. “She can clearly handle herself.”
“But it still weighs on her. A little help wouldn’t hurt.”
“We can’t go up to her and tell her this.”
“Then let’s at least make sure she’s okay with our own eyes.”
“What?”
“I get what you’re saying.” JM continued. “We follow her one night, just to make sure she’s alright. Then we can all be more at ease.”
“That’s not a bad idea…” DY mumbled. “But what if we get caught?”
“Then we’ll talk to her. We’re worried either way.”
“Alright. Next time she goes out, we follow in secret.”
    They didn’t have to wait long before going on their little midnight adventure. They were quiet, pretending to sleep, and waiting for you to head out. Once they heard the door shut, they gave it a minute before getting up and getting dressed. The main point was to follow without being discovered, and not to lose you. Since keeping secrets was your thing, they knew it would be hard to follow you, but they were determined to do so anyway.
    It was late in the night so the streets were mostly empty, and you walked with your hood covering your face, going by without attracting attention. You wound up leaving the town, heading out to some place much darker. They had to hurry from there to keep up with you, and also keeping in mind how to get back if necessary. The area actually seemed dead, but you came to what seemed like a small house, knocking and stepping inside. They quickly rushed over, JM and Geonu pressed their ears against the doors, the others looking for a way to peek in.
“Who are you?” They could hear your voice. “What is going on?”
“You always say the same thing.”
    The other voice they didn’t recognize, but your scream caught them all off guard, quickly changing their curiosity to panic. They could hear some sort of struggle going on inside. JM tried the door but it was locked and wouldn’t budge at all. Now everyone was looking for a way in, but when it got quiet they stopped as well. There was the sound of movement inside but no one was speaking. They all gathered around, trying to figure out their next move.
“We need to get inside.”
“Obviously.” JM hissed. “But the door is locked, and we can’t bust it down.”
“There must be another door.” Bain said. “Like a back door or something.”
“Right. You and DY search for one, the rest of us need to find things to use as weapons. We don’t know how many people we’ll face in there.”
    They all broke off to do what they were tasked with, being quick and quiet. The boys found some pipes, and a back door. It was locked as well, but this one they could get open. Thankfully they had the cover of darkness, so they could get in without being detected. Once inside they listened for voices, but there weren’t any, just silence, and the occasional noise of some sort of machinery. They moved around quietly towards the noise and source of light. Soon enough they could see you, and the sight was a horror they couldn’t have imagined.
    You were seated in a chair, your arms restrained, and an all too familiar vacant look in your eyes. They all came to recognize the bracelet on your wrist, as well as the earpieces you had on. Two PDs were on either side, and there seemed to be another person with a briefcase that seemed to contain some computer setup. Although another painful point was the mess of pills scattered around the floor, ones they would know anywhere. No one really thought to talk, or figure out a plan, the anger and confusion driving them all to act, to attack.
“What the-”
    The PDs were quick to fight back, although they were occupied while Geonu got to you, grabbing your face and trying to get something out of you.
“Y/n! Y/n! Snap out of it! What-”
    Geonu wound up getting hit in the head with the back of a gun, collapsing to the floor. He was dragged away from you and forced on his knees next to the others. They all seem injured, but most of all pissed. The other from before, with the case, stood and examined them all. They wore a mask, so there was no way to distinguish any features.
“Wow, 55, 21, 22, 82, 10, and 01, how fortunate to find you all at once. You did well to hide yourselves, although it seems you had some help. I suppose we need to start asking her about those she keeps close to her, we would have found you immediately.”
“What are you doing to her!” Sangwoo yelled. “She’s not like us!”
“No? I’m afraid you’re mistaken. 46 is part of a different experiment. Although given their interaction with you over the last few weeks, it may be best to return for further examination.”
“You leave her out of this!” DY hissed. “We’re the ones you want.”
“You’re not. I’m here to gather data on 46, you happen to cross my path, and I do have authority to bring you back.  It’s fortunate and unfortunate all at once. We should get going.”
    They were all more than ready to fight, but were quickly incapacitated. One by one they collapsed to the floor, their vision blurring and fading to black.
“Good morning, Just B.”
Tumblr media
    It was always strange, waking up like normal, but feeling like there was more just beneath the surface. Sleeping wasn’t always the best. They’d chalk it up to bad dreams, but they didn’t really dream. It was just another day, and there was nothing but the same routine to follow.
Tumblr media
    Time didn’t mean anything for them. They knew what needed to be done, and nothing else mattered. Yet there was something, something deep inside that was trying to surface. They didn’t mention it to one another, nor did they think much of it. As time went on though, the feeling became stronger, and then there was a dream.
Tumblr media
“We left…”
    Geonu stared at himself in the mirror, trying to process what he knew, what he felt, was the truth. They had escaped this place, and yet somehow they had come back. He knew it wasn’t by choice, something, but the memories of what lies beyond that door were still buried. Now it was a matter of choice. To wait for the truth, or to take action now. That wasn’t a decision he could make on his own, so when he had the chance he talked to the others.
Tumblr media
“This is gonna sound crazy… but we’re not supposed to be here.”
“Huh?”
“We escaped… and I don’t know how we’re back.”
“You’ve had a dream too?” JM asked. “About… out there?”
“Not exactly, but I know we left this place.”
“Then why are we back?” DY wondered. “I don’t think… we wanted too…”
“Something happened… but I don’t remember.”
“So what do we do?” Sangwoo questioned. “Do we… leave again?”
“We stop taking those pills for starters.” Jimin said. “They keep us complacent.”
“There’s something else.” Bain added. “Something we’re all missing…”
“We can’t stay. Not for long. They’ll figure out what is happening and stop us, somehow. If we’re going to go, we need to do it soon.”
“Agreed.” Geonu said. “Tomorrow… instead of class, we get out.”
    Pretending was the hardest, especially in a place where you’re meant to feel nothing, to know nothing besides what you’re told. If anything they hope the extra night would give them more answers, as to how they left, and what was missing. They didn’t get anything though, but their plan was still the same. They left for a reason, meaning they were not meant to stay. Being in this place, and knowing it was not for them made it all the worse. The things that were expected of them, and for them to remain complacent. It wasn’t meant to be home.
Tumblr media
    The lack of anyone else besides them was certainly disturbing, but it would work in their favor. That is until they did in fact find someone else. They rounded a corner and came to a halt, seeing a girl standing before them with a somewhat familiar weapon in hand.
“Oh good, I found you.”
“Us?”
“You don’t… that’s not the point, we need to go, now!”
    It was quickly established that you shared the same goals, so they followed, you seemed to be going the same way regardless. You burst through the doors and the cool air hit you first, slowly revealing the night sky. Everyone slowed down as they came to the ledge, seeing there was nowhere else to run.
“Fuck…” Bain looked around. “What do we do now?”
“You jump.” You said. “I understand you don’t remember right now but you have to jump.”
“Who are you?”
“There’s no time to explain. Guards will be here any second now.”
“Y/n…” DY mumbled. “That’s your name.”
“Yes, yes, that’s good. You know me, you trust me, you need to do this now.”
“Wait… but you…”
“Ugh. You emotional idiots!”
    You threw the gun to the ground and shoved Geonu over the edge. In the small moment of disbelief you managed to grab DY and shove him off too.
“What are you-”
“Helping!” You grabbed Jimin. “Don’t make me throw you off.”
Jimin smirked. “You’re always like this, aren’t you?”
“I’m glad you remember that. Now go.”
    Jimin glanced at the others, nodding his head. Maybe they didn’t remember, but in the moment they knew deep down they could trust you. Jimin stepped over the edge, followed by Sangwoo. Only you remained with Bain and JM.
“I hope you remember where to go.”
“Don’t you know?” JM questioned.
“I’m not coming.”
“What?”
“Someone has to buy you time. Or else they’ll just follow.”
“No. No you come with.”
“I’ve made my choice.”
    You shoved Bain off, getting into a bit of a struggle with JM. He slipped over the edge as you pushed him, but he grabbed your arm, pulling you down with him. You were quick though, grabbing the grate floor and holding yourself up, JM hanging over the edge while holding onto you. The moment of adrenaline, and the thought of losing you was enough to bring it all flooding back for JM, and he held on tight.
“I remember!”
“Good. I feel better knowing that.”
“Y/n!”
“Get to the bunker, take the money, all of it, get a change of clothes, and the blank IDs. You’ll need new identities, and sell the others. Get as far away from here as possible!”
“You are coming with us!”
“How else can I guarantee your freedom unless I stay?”
“You should be free too, all of us, together!”
“I had my freedom, four years, and that’s good enough for me. The rest of you… deserve to be free too.”
“No, no, you are not doing this!” JM tried to pull you down, but you held on tight. “We have so much to pay you back for!”
“Let go and live your lives. That’s how you can pay me back.”
“What about you? We don’t even know what they’ll do to you.”
“So forget about me, and build your own path.”
“We… we wouldn’t even know how to live, we wouldn’t even know what freedom is without you. Please, don’t do this.”
“You have to go with the rest of your brothers. They need you.”
“We need you.”
“Don’t come back here, I’ll never forgive you if you do, but please forgive me.”
    You dug your nails into JM’s arm. A scream ripped from his throat, and he could tell his grip was loosening, but still he held on, even though he knew he didn’t have much time.
“Don’t sacrifice yourself like this. It’s a nightmare in there!”
“I can manage… for you…”
    The smile on your face, JM could never forget. He let go despite his desperate attempts to hold on. His fingers brushing against yours for the last time. You faded into the background, disappearing from his sight, from all their lives, just like that. The world was empty and silent, the tears floating up and following him down. This was an end and a beginning he’d never imagined, and he had no idea how he would tell the others.
Tumblr media
    JM woke with a jump, images still fresh in his mind giving him a headache. This wasn’t the first time that had happened, and he was certain it wouldn’t be the last. As the feeling passed he reached for the pills on his desk, taking two and catching his breath. It was hard to describe where he was at in life now, more so when there was so much in his past that weighed on him. He was trying to calm himself when a pop up window appeared, revealing some chat room. It seemed to be the beginning of something more.
