Seems Kaeya’s vision has 3 wings on each side now and is a combination of Mondstadtian vision and Khaenri’ah’s 8-pointed star. Except instead of two points there are wings on the bottom part. I’m very normal about it

The only thing that could’ve possibly made 3.8 better is if Albedo was in it. If Albedo was there not only would it make sense because he would accompany both Klee and Kaeya, but I also think he would love the hydro eidolons and wanna study how they work and what they do. Give him a chance.

I’m also trying REALLY hard to talk as a regular fan of the story/event and not include my shipper bias BUT Kaebedo supremacy

Why Kaeya’s Sailwind Shadow outfit from the Secret Summer Paradise event is the way it is (contains spoilers for the event)

 I finished all the Secret Summer Paradise event quests, and it hit me in the end why Kaeya’s vision is different or fixed. You could say in his new Sailwind Shadow outfit, in the quest dubbed as the dagger bandit outfit.

 Because that’s Kaeya’s wish, that’s him being given a moment of mirage. That he too can be free from his shackles and burden. That he can abandon the position besdowed upon him by fate. Or perhaps that he doesn’t have to choose and can be both a Monstadter and a Khaenri’ahn.

 But it’s all only a momentary fix/resolve to his problems. 

 In the end as Idyia says in the end and sort of something Kaeya and the others realized. The wishes of the founders of the lamp in the story and also the wishes of the visitors can only be granted/exist inside the bottle.

SO...

 Only inside the magical bottle can Kaeya’s vision have three wings, while at the same time sport a Khaenri’ahn star behind it. Only inside the bottle can Kaeya feel free of his burden and feel like he too can belong. 

Kaeya doesn’t mind the role of the Dagger Bandit, because in this bottle world he can be both a knight and a bandit, stand both on the good and the bad side. (this is also just a nudge to Kaeya’s existance as a hidden Khaenria’hn pawn in Monstadt taking also on a role of a knight. Basically playing a double role.)

But even Kaeya realizes this is only a dream, a play, a farytale. The opposition to Kaeya’s own words lays in the desrciption of the outfit, which starts as a dialog between Kaeya and Klee, but mostly it shines light to Kaeya’s inner thoughts.

 And during his inner monolog, he brings out that the roles of people/characters have been given to them and thus dictated by fate. As he says a Bandit can’t carry out the role of a Knight and vice versa a Knight shouldn’t do shady stuff and backstabing. The ugly reality of Kaeya’s life and the world of tevyat is that a person/character needs to play out their role according to the rules/plan, otherwise they are betraying fate itself.

And as we have learned so far in the Genshin story, Fate can hardly be overturned. Each characters role has been pretty much set in stone by fate.

But Kaeya doesn’t yet want to ruin Klee’s wondrous innocence and thus he leaves that out and fills it with tales, as he recognizes that fate can be defided in dreams and farytales, which kind of fabricates a made up oppostion.

Anyways, I am going now, to brood over this whole connection. 

Kaeya has managed to hide his reality behind a sunny, funny and cute summer event. Many of us thought this outfit was Hoyo tying the loose ends, but no, instead they brough us to the loose and showed us what it could be, but then snapped their fingers and ripped it away, telling us this is something Kaeya will not be given.

im making so many posts abt his hangout but like its so deserved !! there is an insane amount of double meanings in his hangout and its sending me reeling!!

with the play ending the whole thing is basically to tell us kaeya is deciding to step away from the role he was designed to play in the story and he wants to live his life as a child of mondstat, until he dies there, and that he considers mondstat his home now. which is fun and all!! but then you think, if he said that he is to draw his last in a place far from home, but he considers mondstat his home, then that doesnt very much bode well for him does it?

one of my favorite things they decided to do is this little thing!!

and it seems so unassuming at first more like of a reminder that the improv was kaeya talking yeah obviously, but the choice of the wording being "not the prince's" instead of not qubad's or not the character's feels so telling to me.

like it feels like hyv is telling us "the entire monologue was nice and meaningful and all, but dont forget that it was kaeya speaking, outside of his role as a prince or a pawn or whatnot." and sort of implying that no matter what he says he can't really rid himself of the shackles of fate as he chooses to put it

In simple terms, that the reason the clothes are so Kaeya and Klee is because they weren't things that the *original* human director made by his own inspiration: they were designed by the duplicate since he left, and the specifics likely defined while Kaeya and Klee were in the bottle.

And what did we just establish the domain does? Adapt its own reality to include, not exactly illusions, but real physical things that are only 'true' or 'real' while one is in the domain. Things, which are derived from the greatest wishes of its visitors, for both ways for reality to be and their own accomplishments. Even if it's not possible by outside world mechanics, like roller coster physics.

And what's an inconsistency in Kaeya's outfit that shouldn't be capable of in universe modification, likely isn't a model mistake, and was heavily speculated to be something he'd deliberately want it to look like for it to be that way, even before we knew how he got the costume?

oh this is SUCH a concept i love this explanation so much. will be adding this to my headcanon belief system because tbh i still refuse to believe it was just a design mistake it has to have been deliberate right? and this is a really nice way to explain it while still abiding by in-universe rules lmao.. also i bet that kaeya suppressed that so violently and immediately that it made him dizzy. will he be having a moment of self reflection some time later? inevitably. but it Cannot happen while he's near anyone else lets compartmentalize that shit up babey

I think the Kaeya hangout will be the death of me. like actually, the thought of Kaeya emoting and making little heart particles is making me slide down my wall crying. The thought of possible storylines for his hangout- accompanying him on his daily routine in the knights of favonius, watching him be a noble and kind knight to the citizens of mond, drinking with him at the tavern?? I’m hysterical. The hangout ending pictures- Kaeya and the traveler enjoying fruity skewers on a bench. The Traveller comforting Kaeya about his origins. Kaeya and Diluc laughing about something in the Dawn winery, Traveller in the background with a smile on their face. Guys I don’t think I’ll survive 3.8
