Bill & Ted's Exceent Adventure (1989)

Why did I watch it?: Young❤️ Keanu❤️ Reeves

How did I find it?: On MUBI daily selection (Currently under student discount, MUBI it's so good, fully recommended) Can't have criterion where I am so it'll do the work.

Thoughts: While I despise comedies and teenager humor and blame this kind of movies for the following-up 00's mean girls bully-bullied style of movie which actually made kids want to be the bully. This movie felt so fresh, maybe because I was amused the whole time by Keanu's beauty and Alex's crop-top (their acting was cool too, they made me hate their attitude). But still, the whole time-travel plot gave it the shot it needed. Socrates being in the movie along with a savage Gengis Khan (loved the wink at power abuse being constant through history) made the movie if not educating, at least informing, Freud telling Ted what all of us knew was outstanding. The laughs were there and the aesthetics really surprised me. Nevertheless its existence is owed to B2F, so that doesn't give it very much points in creativity. I chose this song because it gives me the vibes. A trash, pointless song that you literally get addicted to for a movie with the same quality. Party on, dudes!

Points (Mark Fisher would be disappointed): 7/10

Long Term: Freud's analysis, Hesse's Siddhartha ⭐ points out quite a similar message, insisting in the cycle with parenting, parents push their children to be a self fulfilled prophecy of their deepest anxieties and fears.

So my bf had the idea to make a "mcnanzo rp" server on ow where we're on one team as Macacroni and gengi, and the other team can only be habanero, and habanero can only to 1 pt of damage and has no ult and macaroni and Genghis can kill him in one hit

Anyway the ppl that joined:

A person we've seen in rp servers frequently, always trying to do some child rp. They kept saying "please let me be someone else. Please let me switch". They eventually left.

Someone with the tag mc/han/zo42, who said "I only joined because of the name", then immediately left

It was thrilling.
