NAME ⎯⎯ Hua Mulan | 花木蘭

MEANING ⎯⎯ Hua (花; Huā; 'flower'), Mulan's meaning is “magnolia blossom” or “wood orchid".

aka ⎯⎯ General Hua | Heroine Hua | Heroine Hua Mulan. when she is posing as a man, she is known as Hua Jun. when she is undercover, she goes by the name, Feng Lian. Feng meaning is 'maple, phoenix'. Lian is a girl's name of Mandarin origin that means "lotus flower.

three headcanons ⎯⎯

Mulan is an avid practitioner of martial arts. she has the ability to memorize techniques and use them later to her advantage. because of this, she is known as a prodigy. behind this is because she has very high cultivation. a lot of this has to do with the fact that she was born with a phoenix core which is something she finds out more later on when she starts to really dive deep in honing into her cultivation.

Mulan suffers from a nightmare disorder that keeps her from sleeping more then three hours. on top of this, she suffers from PTSD, cute Stress Disorder, Fear of Abandonment & Eating Disorder ( she stops or limits the amount she eats ).

Mulan loves trying new foods, especially during her travels.

Mulan loves to sketch, draw and paint. she primarily sticks to the realistic stylings as she tries to capture the moment as if she were capturing a memory.

playing the Flute / Guzheng / Singing

Mulan enjoys practicing her martial skills. in the mornings, when she just wakes up, to start of her day she practices Tai Chi in order to get herself moving, and continues throughout the day practicing different forms.

Failing - she knows she has her duty & what is expected of her. as such, she was taught that failure was not an option as it could impact her entire family & bring dishonor to their name. as such, she is terrified of failing others & herself.

Mulan has a deep regret of the amount of death she has caused as well as not allowing others in to see her pain. she wishes she could do more for others, while also wanting to be a bit more selfish for time for herself.
