current season ranking as of Ninjago season 6 completion: (I havent seen past it yet)

Worst to best:

Season 2: Filler central and Lloyd is treated like a ragdoll with no agency (a recurring trend for some of these character focus seasons). I like Lord Garmadon here, I hate Misako and Wu here. Nya is shafted and I'd rather just watch Kung Fu Panda 3 than the ending to this season.

Season 1: Waaayyyy too much filler. Feels aimless, but has some really good things introduced like garmadon's cool side, samurai X and pythor. Not the worst but far from the best. Hard to rewatch.

Season 0: Sets things up but its just kind of Kai: the show. Garmadon is cool though. The filler is annoying but its not a bad intro. Very mid. Season 3: No filler but now its weirdly sexist??? Nya isn't allowed to be cool anymore I guess. I like Zane's arc and I like Pixal, but this season feels very flawed and its pacing is awkward and gimmicky.

Season 6: 50% hot garbage. 50% the best thing I ever seen. First 5 episodes of the show are almost unwatchable. Orientalist. Sexist. Uncomfortable. Sure they try to weave sexism into the theme but given its a Jay season and Nya gets yanked around esp at the end, it doesn't land on its feet perfectly. The second half of the show is pretty darn good though. Divisive, I'd rather watch this than Season 3, but Season 4 is more fun for longer.

Season 4: No filler! Pythor is back briefly which is great. Its fun while on the island but orientalist and uncomfortable in some places. Flawed, but overall a decent season. Good most of the way through but its finale kinda blows. I miss Garmadilf. Also the whole jay/cole clashing is. super lame.

Season 5: This season is pretty good overall, fun character dynamics. Interesting lore. Amazing finale. Wish Nya got to be more in the action and not treated like a ragdoll by the plot but at least she's important I guess.
