Sorry this one took so long and is so rough, I don't know what's going on with my brain right now. It either works at full capacity or stays at zero.

Mint and Nightshade

Mountain purred contentedly as he watched his cub wander the garden, she meandered through the rows of planters filled to the brim with blossoming flowers and fragrant herbs. His purring stuttered to a stop as she got puttered closer to the poisons he and Primo had carefully tended together. He rose from his lounged position and swiftly made his way to the cub.

Mountain's heart raced in his chest as he quickly snatched her chubby hand from grabbing a deadly Nightshade flower. Little Ghoul whimpered, her tail falling limp as she cowered. Mountain chirped, a sound he knew would be positive enough to assuage her fear.

Instead he lead her to an isolated planter overflowing with mint, the fragrant herb tickling his nose with its scent. The rumbles began in his chest again he picked a leaf, carefully rolling it and offering it to the cub. It pleased him to see her happily chewing at the mint, a much better alternative to Nightshade. While it wouldn't kill her, it would have made for an unpleasant night.

When she wasn't looking he stuffed a Nightshade flower into his own mouth, having nicked one while she was too busy looking him in the face. Maybe it would been unpleasant for her, but the buzz in his veins would be quite pleasant for him.
