Painted on January 17th, 2024.

I want to create better light and dark transition next time by leaving more white space.

What I did correct is using big brushes. I painted this with Raphael Kolinsky Brush Size No. 10 and Da Vinci Maestro Series 10 Size No. 8.

What I regret is using Da Vinci smaller Harpin Kolinsky small brushes, No. 4 and No. 3 too early. I should have trying longer and see how far I can go with these bigger brushes.

The challenge with big brushes is: brush control

//A new aquarelle painting that I created while feeling depressed & lonely recently. Art prevents me from going completely under & has a healing effect on me. For everyone out there struggling, too, try to create art in whatever form you feel comfortable. It can be very liberating to "let it all out“ what’s causing you so much pain inside of you. Let the flow take you wherever you want to be! Also it took me over 6 hours to finish this piece of art in one go. Makes me aware to value the process behind each artwork more (you too?)! When I’m in this sad but creative meditative state I like to listen to calming music, that also helps to regulate my nervous system.
