I love their relationship so much. At first, Gray couldn't stand Juvia but he soon realised how much she cared and how much he cared for her. The whole Juvia vs Gray fight in the finale made me cry, especially when they killed themselves because they didn't want to kill the other QwQ

Gajevy

They're ship is so cute and gradual and I love it.

Yes, Gajeel did hurt her and chain her to a tree when they first met, but he's shown and proven to her how much he's changed. Their love is beautiful and I love them.

LoLu

I have to admit, I did ship them at first, but it's more platonic than romantic now. Still a cute ship tho.

Romeo & Wendy

Another platonic pairing. It's cute but I don't ship them romantically.

Sky Sisters

They have such a cute friendship!

I adore the Sky Sisters friendship and I want to see more of them! I also heard that these two could be cannon, which I'd would love to know if it's true or not. So yeah, ship them platonically and romantically.

Elfgreen

I want more of these two!!!

I want to see more of Elfman and Evergreen so badly. The tsundere and the big strong guy is so cute and the scenes in GMG were so cute.

Miraxus

I'd love to see more of them since I ship them platonically at the moment.

Freeuxus

I love these two idiots.

Freed adores Laxus and the dragon slayer obviously has a soft spot for Freed.

Stingue

Light and dark. Sun and moon. Introvert and extrovert etc. I ship them so much!!!!!!

He's the reason why she's still a part of Sabertooth!

Sting really cares for Yukino and they're so cute together. He even became guild master so Yukino could stay and it's so sweet!

2023 Art Summary!!

so here's a single piece from each month i did!! i really wish i did more art this year, so hopefully (and most likely) next year i will!!

below under the cut are links to the ones i managed to post along with my art goals and some thoughts for the next year

thank you so much for those who have been following me this year and i hope we can continue to grow doing what we desire in the next year :3

yall can skip reading this if you just wanna go see the links; most of you probably know i went back to college in january, which unfortunately caused me to gain major art block (ew) when my depression creeped up. i also had like no time this semester with the large ammt of courses i took (i took 6 classes and it killed me with the course load since most of them were online. never again i will be making that mistake). when i go back to classes in january, i hopefully will not be as dying as i was this semester since i am taking a majority art course load. im even taking a printmaking class which means yall will be gettin some goodies posted hopefully

my art goal for next year besides getting more commissions lol (which if you are interested can see about here) is to be able to draw full bodies - i still can't and ive been drawing humans as my main thing for at least 6 years now. i will def be practicing next year by doing many figure studies lol. i also hope i can manage to figure out how to do backgrounds besides the basic ones i tend to do i also hope that with my shop i can break some of my records like getting new states i haven't shipped to yet so that my state ammt goes up from 8 to maybe 10, having my total ammt going up to around 50 sales from 35, getting more fans for my art who love the stickers and prints i am making, ect ect i wasn't able to this year. while i am on winter break, i am trying to set up a shop update for before classes start again which i will be updating on here about when i remember to do so (honestly the hardest thing for me while having an art acct to promote my art and shop is making content besides just posting my art online and hoping people like it)

i really like your meta/read-through posts and have a slightly odd question - i know the art style kinda devolves into same face/body type for most characters eventually, but before that, who do you think are meant to be the most objectively attractive characters in-universe, male and female? i'd like to track this as a reference for generating my own headcanons/etc, but after a point in the story all the guys have six-pack abs and all the ladies are generically cute and busty so... your thoughts?

Hmmm... honestly, it's a half-half on whether FT characters are canonically attractive or just attractive in Lucy's eyes. Let's go with somewhere down the middle of that. I'd say any girl that's made an appearance in canon Sorcerer spreads is considered canonically super attractive. I'd put a hold on putting guys on similar ranks though, since boys seem to be more based on strength. I'm currently memory blanking on everything from Alvarez onwards so don't mind me not mentioning them.

Note that I'm not caring for the harvest festival in fantasia, that was a real life popularity poll and thus has no standing in canon popularity.

For the girls: Top on the list are definitely Erza and Mirajane! They're pretty much specifically known for being drop-dead gorgeous who can kill you also. I'd put the mainliners of Mermaid Heel here, with Jenny Realight and Karen Lilica. Aries and Aquarius are also always mentioned for their beauty. Cana should be around here as well. Also Minerva. It feels weird to put Wendy and Chelia here, but they're canonically absolutely the cutest little angels in the world, so they fit on this scale in their own way. Human Carla too. And Ultear! Almost forgot Ultear. ALMOST FORGOT NIRVANA ARC SHERRY

Girls that are canonically considered 'upper to mid' or to whoever's tastes: Lucy, Bisca, Levy, Juvia? Not sure about Juvia, I feel she's complimented for both her strength and sometimes her appearance, but mostly it's just Lyon for the latter? Kinana! Virgo! I wanted to put Evergreen up top, but now that I think about it, maybe it's because of her ego, but she's never truly made out to be as attractive as she thinks she is. She's gorgeous to me, but everyone canonically just goes 'yeah, yeah' to her and she is always immediately shot down by being compared to Erza.

For the boys: The Trimens, Loke, and Jellal/Siegrain to cross off the obvious ones. They were all on Lucy's hotties list. Lyon. Freed. Gray if he has his clothes on.

For the boys, it's a bit harder to gauge. Cause for the boys, sometimes they're just hailed for being strong and buff, which means we go into some other attractiveness category. Elfman and Natsu are on this end, but they'd never cross over into the ranking with the Trimens-- but then again, Laxus and Gray could be in both! So, it's complicated. And Jason is enthusiastic about both of them so yeah. Also, while the girls are attractive no matter what, the boys always have a 'but' to them that drags them down on the scale. Loke's a womanizer, so Lucy is turned off. Gray's cool, but where are his clothes? etc.

Also, while most of our girls are on a canon attractive scale of some sort, most of our boys seem to be on a canon unattractive scale. Yes this is because Mashima and I think that's kinda funny

Bisca – general dynamics with FT members. Part 4

Unless plotted otherwise, this is how she feels about these characters and is a rough idea of their dynamic with her.

Freed – Due to him and his team only rarely being around the guild (particularly pre-Fantasia), she didn’t get much time to interact with him. Of course, it was the similarity in their hair colour that drew her eye initially (not to mention the fact he’s just damn pretty), and his air of mystery was a topic that came up in the guild whenever he made an appearance. In their limited encounters, she found him polite and hard to read, but cool (in a similar way to Erza), and although she didn’t dare to, she was tempted to try find a way to ruffle him somehow. Post-Fantasia, she took a while to forgive him and the others for what they put the town and guild through, but seeing them all begin to fit in better and make more of an effort was rather heartwarming. It wasn’t long after that that he disappeared along with the others on Tenrou. Now, having spent more time around him, she enjoys his company and feels more comfortable around him, appreciating his detail-oriented nature and maturity. She's still lowkey looking for ways to ruffle him.

Evergreen – As with Freed, their interactions were few and far between up until the Battle of Fairy Tail. Bisca had heard a few rumours about her but was interested in making up her own mind about her, but never had much of a chance to do so. Again, as with Freed, Bisca took a bit of time to forgive her (being turned to stone was not easy to forget), but once she had worked through her feelings on the matter and had a few friendly conversations with her, she found she quite liked her. She once asked Evergreen about her wings, which eventually led to the pair doing some flying practice together (one of Bisca’s pets is a large birdlike creature capable of carrying her on its back). Now, they hang out together semi-regularly if they can manage it, between jobs and other life things, Bisca enjoys Evergreen’s views and humour. Bisca is more of a coffee drinker, but enjoys having tea with her whenever they catch up.

Bixlow – Perhaps due to the fact he wasn’t so directly involved in the Battle of Fairy Tail (you know what I mean – yes he was involved but he wasn’t the one that placed runes that would force others to fight, and he didn’t turn anyone to stone), and the fact that he was someone she got along with beforehand, but she found him easier to accept/forgive afterwards than the others. He’s the type that’s always up for shenanigans and trying new things, so she found him fun. As it is now, since she’s gotten older and matured somewhat, she kinda sighs (in fond exasperation) at some of his antics and tries not to get involved (he’s pulled her into some things in the past). He is one of Asuka’s favourite people, so Bisca can’t help but appreciate him for that and for the way he entertains her and looks after her.

Laxus – He didn’t make a great first impression, his attitude and demeanour were certainly Not Great, leaving her with an unfavourable opinion of him. She heard stories about him more than she ever saw him around, and she struggled to understand Natsu’s excited and positive view of him but still, she thought that as he was a member of the guild, he surely couldn’t be that bad. The Battle of Fairy Tail did not help her view of him, and honestly, to begin with she was glad that he was kicked out. As she healed and things settled, she did wonder if what he really needed was help, and not to be isolated, as she knew from her own past experiences of acting out and causing trouble that sometimes a helping hand was needed. Due to him being excommunicated and then lost along with the others on Tenrou, seeing him again once the group returned (and him looking the same) was unnerving, bringing back memories of his unpleasant attitude and being electrocuted by the Thunder Palace. She kept a wary eye on him, softening as she noticed the subtle changes in him. When Asuka developed a fascination with him, Bisca couldn’t help being a little tense at their first interaction, however she soon saw there was nothing to worry about. Surprisingly to some, Laxus has become one of the more regular babysitters (along with his team) for Asuka and is someone Bisca trusts. Outside of bonding via the girl, Bisca and Laxus aren’t particularly close, but she is becoming more and more fond of him.

Gajeel – Being a good friend of team Shadow Gear, Bisca did not take kindly to Gajeel when he joined, knowing how brutally he had attacked them. Protective of her friends after the attack, particularly Levy, Bisca kept a close eye on them and often escorted Levy to places or watched over her from a distance. She also kept a wary eye on Gajeel. Having come from a rough patch herself, she understood that there might be more to him than met the eye, so she also hoped to gain a better understanding of him through her watchful gaze. Before she could really see too much, Tenrou happened. Following his return and everything that happened since, she’s come to accept him and even find him amusing at times. And she can finally admit she really likes his aesthetic. They don’t tend to have much to do with each other, but she has told him off a few times (using her ‘mum voice’) when he’s done something he shouldn’t. And also, Asuka once (very loudly) asked her where Gajeel’s eyebrows are.

Pantherlily – Out of the exceeds, she thinks he is the cutest. They don’t interact all that much, but she appreciates his levelheadedness and they can enjoy a good conversation.

Makarov – When she first met him, he reminded her of her own grandfather, simply for the fact that he’s an old man and grumpy at times. It didn’t take her long to realise that was where the similarities ended and that Makarov was…strange. As a mage with great power and knowledge, he had her respect, and for allowing her to join the guild despite her crimes under the guilds name, he had some of her loyalty. Aside from that, she kept her distance as she preferred not to be anywhere near his wandering hands or creepy commentary.

I want to do a rewatch of Fairy Tail, I miss it so much! One of my comfort anime series for sure. Can't wait for the 100 years quest anime to drop, it's going to be great! Mainly because I've heard Mashima kinda refrained from making the same narrative mistakes he made in the first series. Hope I'm not wrong. Also I need to know what happens to Gajeel and Levy, last time I saw a panel of the manga she was expecting a baby. Honestly, talking about the couples of FT, romantically speaking, they all have something pretty interesting going on, except for Lucy and Natsu. They've got a strong bond, alright, but at this point I see them more as family than potential partners. Meanwhile Gajeel and Levy are going to be parents, Alzack and Bisca are already parents, Gray finally accepted Juvia's feelings after three seasons of pining, Erza and Gerard/Jellal (I've never understood how the heck I'm supposed to spell his name lol) are just traumatized to no end and I just remembered THAT TIME THEY ALMOST KISSED OH GOD I'm still so salty about that. And what about the ones Lucy foreshadowed in the ending of the series? Mirajane and Laxus would be a pretty op couple, even though I wonder how their dynamic would work. Anyway there you have it, the ramblings of a fairy tail fan who listened to Evidence by DaisyxDaisy and had a bunch of memories unlocked.

Loke was relaxing in the Celestial Spirit World. He was watching as Taurus and Hercules spared together, a few other celestial spirits cheering them on. Thoughts of visiting his girlfriend were rolling through his mind when he felt it. A feeling of dread that resulted in his stomach dropping to his feet. His blood ran cold and his heart all but stopped. His relaxed sitting position shifted to one of rigidness and alertness. His eyes were blown wide with fear.

Something was wrong. Something was very wrong with Lucy.

Without a second thought, he opened his gate himself and disappeared from the Spirit World. Within a few seconds, he appeared in Fairy Tail's infirmary. His eyes instantly fell upon his girlfriend, finding that she was lying there underneath the white covers, a wet piece of cloth over her forehead.

Loke launched himself toward her. His eyes roamed over her form. Her skin was deathly pale and sweat covered. His hair was damp with sweat. There were visible bags underneath her closed eyelids and her breathing was heavy, coming out of her agape mouth. Loke could feel his heartbeat pick up its speed until it felt as though it could bruise his chest. He placed his hands on Lucy's shoulders and gently shook her, exclaiming, "Lucy! Lucy! Wake up, please!"

The blonde groaned as her eyes opened, though not fully. Her eyes shifted over to him and Loke's breath caught in his throat when he saw how hazy and unfocused her brown eyes were. He gulped and blinked back tears as he said, his voice weak and already broken, "what happened?"

The corners of Lucy's mouth twitched up in a small smile. She slowly, weakly, lifted her hand to place it on his cheek. The action was so familiar that Loke unconsciously leaned into the touch, not failing to notice that her palm was burning hot.

Lucy opened her mouth and managed to whisper, "I...got s-sick." Her voice was hoarse and it seemed that just talking was painful to her. It caused Loke's chest to hurt.

"Loke."

The celestial spirit turned around at the sound of his name. He watched as Levy solemnly walked toward him, her hands clamped in front of her and her head drooping. She came to a stop in front of him and explained, "she was on a job with Cana. The dark mage they were fighting cast some sort of sickness spell on Lucy. Alzack and Bisca are getting Porlyusica."

Anger swirled within Loke's gut, but it was easily overshadowed by the worry and fear that he felt. He whipped back around to grip Lucy's hot, pale, sweaty hand in his. Tears burned his eyes and his breathing became heavy as he whispered to her, "Lucy, you have to get through this. Please. I can't leave me. Not yet." His voice was trembling and quiet. He struggled to hold back his tears, not wanting to fall apart so easily. His girlfriend was clearly fighting for her life, and he had to be strong.

Lucy continued to smile at him. It was a pained and tired smile. She opened her mouth to say something, but Loke shushed her, telling her, "you need to save up what strength you have left."

He didn't know how long he remained like that, but all too quickly, Porlyusica showed up and ordered that Levy leave and Loke return to the Celestial Spirit World. The Zodiac spirit tried to argue, tried to appeal to the aging woman's heart and get her to allow him to stay beside his girlfriend, but she was adamant that he leave. Eventually, Loke had no choice but to obey, not wanting to delay Lucy's treatment.

When reappeared in the Celestial Spirit World, he found himself alone. Loke stood there, staring at nothing in particular. His breathing was heavy and his hands were trembling at his sides. His mind was jumbled with thoughts, all reflecting his worry and fear toward Lucy and her condition.

Was she going to be okay? Could she be healed? What were the possible long-time aftereffects of this? Was she going to die?

Loke choked out a sob at that last thought. His hands clamped against his mouth as tears streamed down his face. His trembling legs gave way underneath him and he fell to his knees. He heaved a few shuddering breaths.

What if Lucy died? How was he going to be able to go on if she died?

He hadn't thought about it before, maybe because he never allowed himself to. He hadn't ever wondered what his life was going to be like without Lucy. But now, he was forced to think about it. And he hated having to think about it.

"What are you doing, furball?"

The unmistakable sound of Aquarius' voice broke him out of his distressing thoughts. He didn't bother looking at her, only wiped his eyes and sniffled a few times. He remained on his knees as he straightened his posture as much as he could. He took a deep breath and asked, "what do you want, Aquarius?" His voice wasn't as strong as he tried to make it.

He could hear the mermaid spirit scoff as she answered, already irritated, "I can't have me time when you're making so much noise."

Loke almost laughed at that. He hadn't realized that he was making any noise. He sighed and responded, "sorry about that."

He heard Aquarius scoff and begin to float away. His fingers twitched at his sides and he fought the urge to stop her. He didn't know why, but he didn't want to be alone. He looked over at Aquarius' retreating figure and called out, "w-wait!"

Aquarius stopped and turned around, the beginnings of a scowl on her face. "What?"

Loke flinched at the venom in her voice. Suddenly feeling uncomfortable, like he was naked in front of every wizard guild in Fiore, he wrapped his arms around himself and looked down at the floor. "Nothing. Sorry." He muttered the words just loud enough for her to hear,

He heard Aquarius sigh loudly and, to his great surprise, she floated over and sat right next to him. She glared down at him and questioned, "what's wrong with you?"

Loke would have chuckled and teased her with a smirk if Lucy wasn't facing death right now. He sighed and locked his eyes on a tiny crack in the floor in front of him. "Lucy was attacked with a sickness spell. She might die."

Aquarius was silent before she spoke, her voice strangely soft, "I understand how you feel."

"Really?" Loke looked up at her, his eyes wide. Aquarius actually had a heart? Color him impressed.

"Yes, really!" She yelled before her tone went back to strangely soft, "has Lucy told you about her mother?"

"It's still a sensitive topic for her, but I did tell me that her mother was a celestial wizard and had a few of the Zodiac keys."

Aquarius nodded. "Cancer, Capricorn, and I were Layla's spirits. She and I were particularly close. She got sick after a," she paused, as if she was trying to figure out words she should use, "certain event. Her magic was completely depleted and we knew that she was going to die." She pause again before she looked at Loke. Her blue eyes had softened noticeably and glistened with unshed tears. "I know how you feel, Leo. Losing a wizard who you love greatly isn't easy, and you might not ever get over it, but it's a part of being a celestial spirit. We live forever, but humans don't. That's a fact that you need to accept."

Loke looked back down at the floor. Fresh tears welled up in his eyes and threatened to fall. Aquarius wasn't being very comforting, but he guessed that he should have expected that. Aquarius then continued, "however, that doesn't mean that you can't make the most of the time you have with the wizard whom you love." She rested a hand on his shoulder, finishing, "Leo, I promise you, Lucy will survive this. And, when she does, you should do everything you want to do with her. You should make as many memories as you can with her. Make sure that when her time does come, there aren't any regrets or what ifs."

Loke sniffled. A warm feeling enveloped him as Aquarius' words sunk into his mind. She was right. He was still worried about Lucy, and he was still dreading the day that Lucy would die, but he also felt hopeful. He looked forward to the happy memories that he and Lucy would make together, once Lucy was recovered. He wiped his eyes free of tears and turned to Aquarius. "Thank you, Aquarius."

The mermaid spirit smiled down at him and patted his shoulder. It was at that moment that Loke felt a tug on his magic. He was being beckoned to Lucy's side. He mumbled a goodbye to his fellow Zodiac and allowed his gate to open and pull him from the Spirit World to the human world.

When he appeared, he found Lucy sitting up in bed. She was still pale and tired-looking, but looked healthier than she did the last time he saw her. The blonde smiled at him with love and Loke threw himself at her, wrapping his arms around her and burying his nose into her hair of sunlight, inhaling the familiar scent that he missed greatly, that he wanted to memorize for the rest of his immortal life.

When he pulled away, he cupped Lucy's face, tears welling up in his eyes. "I thought that you were going to die." His voice was in a whisper.

Lucy wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled sweetly at him. Tears pricked the corners of her eyes as she whispered back, "I will live for a million years."

The couple then shared a searing, love-filled kiss as tears raced down their faces.
