Labor was hell. If Avery thought that heartbreak or period cramps were painful, boy oh boy was she mistaken. She probably could never describe how much pain she had been in, how it felt as if her entire body was on fire and her tears and sweat did nothing to cool her body. She could never describe just how weak her pathetic cries of ‘I can’t do this’ left her lips made her feel, the contractions hurting like hell. Yet the second she heard her baby’s cries, the second she saw her son, her thoughts and tears of pain and her shouts were gone. The second she finally held Mars in her arms, it was all worth it. To finally hold him and kiss his little head. It was truly worth it. He was finally here and she had never been happier than when she held him in her arms for the first time.
Of course, she didn’t mind being able to finally sleep again without feeling kicks against her bladder or a restless baby moving around. She cherished these rests, knowing that they refreshed her so that she’d be able to love her son with all her might once she was awake. So as she began to wake up, expecting to see either her dad or mom on the small sofa against the window in the hospital, she automatically was ready to ask them to talk to her nurse to bring Mars from the nursery. However, her eyebrows furrowed when she didn’t see either of them. “Mom? Dad?” She could have sworn she felt someone else’s presence in the room...

Whoa, whoa, whoa... Where the hell is she? For a moment, she almost freaked out before she realized that she was in the lounge. Holly couldn’t remember when she fell asleep on the couch. Rubbing her eyes with the palm of her hands, she groaned a little as she sat up. “How long was I asleep?” she asked groggily.

Iris was helping with a bake sale for the figure skating team. She went to pour some flour, but when she turned slightly and saw someone out of the corner of her eye, she jumped. “Sorry, you surprised me... Do you need to use the oven? I have it preheating for these cupcakes, but you can use it at that temperature if that works.”

“I thought America went all out for Christmas but the UK really blows us out of the water.“ Poppy had came back from the store with arms full of Christmas decor there was just so much she couldn’t say no to all of it. Christmas has always been her families favorite holiday and even though they weren’t at school with her she still wanted to decorate a bit or maybe a little more then a bit.
