Kicking my feet in the air, sobbing real tears!!! I’m so fucking thankful that I got to see Fall Out Boy. High school and college me are sobbing and shaking in a corner right now!!!!!!! The things their music got me through, omfg!! 😭😭
So, it was late and I was keeping my friend awake as she was driving us home and I didn’t get a chance to post before I collapsed but holy shit Fall Out Boy!!!!
The sets on the stage were insane. Every few songs they’d close the middle curtains and change the background entirely.
I didn’t know what to think when rabbit man came out on stage, then they opened the curtains and this desert scene was behind them. Also headbanging snail??? At one point, rabbit man went over to the snail and they headbanged together.
There were a few songs where the stage and the lights made the area they occupied very small and narrow, then suddenly DOGGO. He was suspended from wires and controlled by someone behind him. His mouth opened and he tried to eat Pete at one point.
In this picture, they were blowing bubble foam from the ceiling and they tossed clear beach balls into the floor seats to simulate bubbles.
Cosmic space tree?? It was wicked to see. And at one point during the show, Pete pulled a magic stunt and disappeared from behind a sheet (on top of the piano, mind you), and reappeared in the alcove above the tree’s face.
The whole concert from start to finish was amazing. Poor Patrick was sick and performed anyway. He apologized at one point, explaining he was sick and that’s why he kept hitting wrong notes. My friend was as baffled as I was and asked “Are the notes in the room with us?!?” 😆 He did a fantastic job and sang wonderfully in spite of his illness.
I’m going to need another post just to talk about the pyrotechnics! I have so many pictures lol
also also seeing fame < infamy live is like. a pivotal life moment now. always been one of my absolute faves, and I hoped they would do it as the 8 ball song, but they have so many tunes, and I didn’t want to get too attached to one specific song. so when Pete was talking to the magic 8 ball and asked “is there... too much green... to feel blue?” I didn’t even process what was happening until the unbelievable intro to the song starts. I looked at my friend, who loves that song as much as I do, maybe even more, and we just screamed “OH MY GOD THEY’RE DOING IT” and hugged when they finished and yelled and cried and just. oh my god. didn’t even realize it was the live debut until later. i’m still in shock. unbelievable
