Acılı bir bakış yerleşirse eğer
Kirpiğinin ucundan gözbebeğine
Her şeyin bedeli var, güzelliğinin de
Bir gün gelir ödenir, öde Firuze

We talk about the double standard in the Firuze ark and how everyone hid and protected her unlike Hurrem and how cruel it is a lot. But we don't talk about how fucked up it is that she was hidden in Hurrem's own house hold and how much pain it caused Mihrimah and Cihangir.
For years she was one of Cihangir's primary careers because she was able to ease his pain. I could argue that the fallout of Hurrem having to rip Firuze out of his life so suddenly is the reason Cihangir is the child Hurrem has the weakest relationship with. Which is also fucked up because unlike some commenters on YouTube like to say she wasn't pawning him off on Firuze she was honestly placing him in the cear of someone capable of making him more comfortable and increasing his standard of living.
Then we have Mihrimah who she survived for just as long leading to Mihrimah viewing her as a friend and confidant only to learn that not only was she lying to her and her mother but was also causing Hurrem pain for years. After Firuze is revealed to be the favorite we never really see Mihrimah develop any kind of relationship with servants except for Sumbal who she trusted because of her mother. Firuze also pushes back on Mihrimah's boundaries after she made it clear doesn't want anything to do with her.
So in her attempt to 'put Hurrem in place' Hatice also knowingly caused one her nieces and nephews who she claims to love a large amount of emotional pain. Which she obviously fills no remorse for, because Hatice didn't give a damm who she had to hurt as long has she got to Hurrem.

I haven’t added Gabriela and Rumeysa because I wouldn’t even call that a substantial arc? Like it was a subplot but a relatively minor one, and I think the Gabriela part of it was done okay. I also haven’t added Armin because it was too divorced from the main storyline to have a satisfactory climax anyway.
I did struggle on whether to define Nigar/Ibrahim as a subplot but I think it concerned three major characters and was too substantial a part of the show to be compared to those above, though it was definitely somewhat anticlimactic.
I haven’t included anything from Season 4 because I haven’t progressed enough to judge the subplots.
As always it would be great if you explained your reasoning for your vote and spread the poll.

now that i can stand to watch the firuze arc without seething and throwing up my hands at how utterly nonsensical its placement in the plot is, i have to wonder just what firuze was thinking every time she was with suleiman. sis was probably rolling her eyes to the back of her head every time he opened his mouth about "love". you think when she returned home she gossiped with her family about his ostentatious flowery over-the-top love poems

Okay I've come up with an outline for season 1B that I think makes Victoria and Firuze both fit. Thoughts please.
First change is Victoria went to Turkey to get revenge for her fiance's death on her own. Where giving her back her agency. She gets into the harem the same way as in the original series.
Firuze will arrive to the harem around the same time as Victoria with a new group of girls. After the fire Victoria will begin working for Hurrem instead of Hafsa. In the background Firuze will endear herself to Hafsa and begin working for her. From hear we'll fallow Victoria's story until the attack by the guard. She'll have no contact to him so we'll be left to wonder why he attacked her until the end of the season.
While Victoria is surviving Hurrem she starts to bond with her. Giving use a reason for Victoria to help cover for Leo latter. We still have Ayse being suspicious of Victoria until she's murdered. Where lied to believe that Victoria is the one to have killed her until after Hurrem has been banished. When like in the show Ibrahim is told the murder had dark hair. Hurrem's return to the palace will be the same as the show.
Hafsa will still send Victoria to Suleyman after sending Hurrem to Hatice's new palace. Victoria's first attempt to kill him is interrupted by Mehmed falling in the fountain. Hurrem will not learn that Hafsa sent her to Hatice's palace so that she could send someone to Suleyman. After this as in the show Victoria will be sent to serve Hatice.
The rebellion plot happens the same way in the rewrite as in the series. Where completely removing Victoria's rape. She's goes through enough shit without adding that. Also part of this experiment is to inprove Hurrem and Suleyman's relationship. That means removing things that make you want to hit him in the junk with a baseball bat. Also no one should ever be worst then Ibrahim.
After Hurrem convinces Suleyman to send the Russian concubines away we see his internal struggle between wanting to be in a relationship with only Hurrem vs following tradition and continuing his harem. During this time Hafsa sends Firuze to Suleyman. Furze manages to get close to Suleyman by emulating Hurrem. Leading to Suleyman thinking he was wrong to question tradition.
While Firuze is getting close to Suleyman over the last three or four episodes where shown what she's been up to in the background through flashbacks. The guard tried to kill Victoria because Firuze realized she was also there to kill Suleyman and could lead to her being discovered. This is also one of the reasons she killed Ayse. Ayse's murder was also an attempt to frame Hurrem because Firuze witnessed their fight.
After Victoria's failed attempt to kill Suleyman, the harem is search top to bottom where it's discovered that Furze is a Savid spy/assassin. This leads to Suleyman seeing Victoria and Firuze's true intentions in the harem as a sign that his desire to be with only Hurrem is the right thing for him.
After Leo eats the poison treat to save Hurrem and her children she takes one with her. A little later she's hiding somewhere looking at the poison treat she over hears Ibrahim telling Matrakçı how he's going to make him kill Victoria. So Hurrem sneaks in to the dungeon to say goodbye to Victoria where she offers her the treat with out telling her about the poison until after she's eaten it. Hurrem apologizes for the poison and tells Victoria the way Ibrahim would have executed her would been much crueler and if she'd offered her poison it she would have been commenting suicide which is a sin Victoria shouldn't have to carry.

Süleyman going to Manisa with Nazenin is actually the sort of petty move of his that I like. It drives home that this is all a game between Süleyman and Hürrem and these concubines are the pawns. Firuze fits into this in a different way too since at first he only allowed that dance to happen because he had a disagreement with Hürrem over the Valide’s rooms and was angry at her. And he clearly enjoyed how jealous Hürrem was of Isabella. The Isabella arc’s beginning doesn’t fit since he didn’t have a problem with Hürrem at that point of the show, but I always read it as him being annoyed and having had his ego hurt by Isabella constantly calling him “barbaric” and so him deciding to seduce Isabella to prove a point to himself (not that he wasn’t attracted to Isabella as well, he was, but I think his primary motivation was this). Except, of course, it was horribly executed.
