Once upon a time in the quaint village, there lived a young mail courier. He was known for his unwavering dedication to his job, delivering letters and packages with a smile to every doorstep. One day, an urgent message arrived at the village, instructing him to embark on a long journey to a distant town where a crucial post office awaited.
The mail he carried was no ordinary mail; it held the hopes and dreams of the villagers, connecting loved ones and spreading joy. The journey to the post office was not an easy one, as it spanned through vast meadows, dense forests, and treacherous mountains. However, he was determined to fulfill his duty, knowing that the letters in his bag held significant meaning to the recipients.
With a firm resolve, he bid farewell to his family and set off at the crack of dawn, his loyal horse carrying him through the countryside. Along the way, the courier encountered various challenges, from wild storms that soaked him to the bone to a broken bridge that forced him to find an alternative path.
As the days turned into weeks, he faced moments of doubt, but he never faltered. The thought of the smiles on people's faces when they received their letters and packages kept him going. Each night, he would rest under the starlit sky, reading letters from his own family for encouragement.
On his journey, he met fellow travelers who shared their own tales of hope and love, making him realize the profound impact his job had on connecting people's lives. With newfound determination, he pressed on, even through the darkest of nights and the coldest of days.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the sight of the town appeared on the horizon. Exhausted but elated, the courier and his horse made their way through the bustling streets, guided by the townsfolk who welcomed them warmly.
The post office in the town was a grand building with ornate architecture, a symbol of communication and unity. As he entered, he handed over the carefully protected mail, knowing the importance of each letter entrusted to him. The postmaster was grateful for his perseverance and dedication, acknowledging the role he played in bringing happiness to so many.
In one of the letters is said: "what would happen if Desmond can turn into Eren's founding Titan form? Doesn't have to be an aot au. I bet it would be very funny lmao XD"
Alright, let’s talk about how we can do this. So we’ll give Desmond the Founding Titan’s powers but keep him in the AC world. (unless someone wants an AOT AU or a Desmond get isekai’ed to the AOT world AU)
So, first, let’s clarify what the Founding Titan’s powers would be now that there’s actually no… you know… Titan in AC (have spoilers for AOT, I guess):
The Founding Titan can create and control other Titans who are Subjects of Ymir. In this idea, you might think that means Desmond should be able to control those with Isu blood but I suggest a different idea: Desmond would be able to control humans in general but the more Isu blood one has, the harder it is to control them. (We’ll get to why we’re changing it this way in a bit). As for the creation part, since we’re not giving Desmond the ability to create Titan (I mean, we could), we’ll make him able to create ‘monsters’ instead. To be more specific: he can manipulate human genes and change them to whatever he liked, although it might be easier for him to change them lightly (like perhaps giving them the ability to access Eagle Vision) or to keep them more human-like (like say… a minotaur or a gorgon or a werewolf… if you catch my drift). This will also be the equivalent of the Founding Titan’s ability to change the body of the Subjects of Ymir (which, when you think about it, Titan creation is a subset of this ability anyway).
The Founding Titan can manipulate memories of the Subjects of Ymir. This means Desmond would be able to change or add or even remove memories of humans, even going as far as give them fake memories if need be.
The Founding Titan can telepathically communicate with Subjects of Ymir so I guess we’re giving Desmond telepathy as well.
The Founding Titan has the ability can influence the past in some way but it cannot completely change the past. It’s a bit complicated so we’ll set this up different with Desmond using one specific device: The Animus.
Of course the Founding Titan can only be used completely by those with royal blood so we’re making Desmond’s Isu ancestor be one of the Titan children of Gaia and Uranus. We actually have two main candidates: Iapetus whose sons were called mankind’s ancestors and we’ll translate it to Iapetus’ children being one of the Isus who helped humans during the war, turning their backs against their fellow Isus. Perhaps one of Adam and Eve’s children would marry one of Iapetus’ sons in this scenario. Another candidate is Hyperion who fathered the three children and lights of the heaven: Helios, Selene and Eos. Of course, we’ll pick Helios as Desmond’s ancestor to further twist the knife of Desmond dying from the solar flare or, if you want to be kind to him, we’ll give him Eos as a symbol of an upcoming dawn.
Now that’s done, we’ll talk about why those abilities might sound familiar…
They’re all ‘powers’ that Kassandra actually sees during her travels. To be more specific, she encountered mystical beings being controlled by Isu artifacts (that may or may not be Apple, we’re not completely certain that the Apple was able to change them or if they’re being used to simply control them after their change, the human experiments of Juno and Aita in Atlantis would point at the latter) which means that Desmond’s Founding Titan powers are powers that Juno and Aita were trying to recreate.
This is why Desmond’s Isu ancestor being Iapetus makes more sense because all of his powers are to subjugate and control humans, not Isus.
And then we come to the power to change the past which isn’t something that Desmond could actually do until he comes in contact with the Animus.
To be more exact, the Animus used by Vidic still holds the POE that he had used to develop the Animus in the first place because it was the prototype. The POE reacted to his Founding abilities that had been dormant until he got into the Animus.
And this is how Desmond would be able to change the past.
By connecting to his own genes, he’s able to contact and even control to a certain degree the actions of the people who share the same Iapetus genes as him.
However, we come to a certain… shall we say ‘snag’ in this idea.
Because Desmond has two different bloodlines that, as far as we know, does not intersect.
Altaïr’s bloodline that comes from his mother and the Auditore-Kenway bloodline that came from William Miles.
This means that we have to choose who would carry the Iapetus bloodline. Of course, it’s me, so you know I’m going to suggest Altaïr but I have another reason other than the fact that I will always choose Altaïr given a choice.
Altaïr is someone willing to make a deal with Desmond in exchange for the safety and happiness of his family. Once Desmond learned of the truth of Altaïr’s future, he could use the Founding Titan’s power to contact Altaïr and to help him change the past in exchange to being Desmond’s ‘prophet’. Using the Founding Titan’s ability to change human composition, Desmond could change Altaïr to be immortal until all their work is finish and Altaïr would agree to it. Desmond’s connection to Altaïr would give Desmond a direct way to change the past, slowly unraveling the entire road that the Isus wished him to walk.
The path that would end with a noose tied to his neck as the sun burns him away.
And, of course, we have the Founder Ymir being the ‘helper’ of the one who holds the Founding Titan.
And who else will we pick but the Reader?
The Reader who can see the past, present and future thanks to the Calculations but unable to change anything without a ‘master’ to command him.
And the truth was…
The Reader was able to tweak it.
There was a split second when Desmond Miles was able to use his Founding Titan powers.
But it wasn’t when he was first put in the Animus.
No.
It was when he used the device in the Grand Temple to save the world.
In that split second…
The Reader used that time to manipulate Desmond to making him order him.
“I want to live.”
“I don’t want to die.”
“Please… someone… save me.”
He used Desmond’s desperation to live to set everything into motion. He changed the past just enough for Vidic to make the prototype have the POE, making him believe this was the best way to get clearer and more stable memories.
And from that…
The Reader set the third loop.
.
.
Just to clarify:
The first loop: AC canon with the Reader coming to existence
The second loop: Desmond Miles manages to awaken his Founding Titan power when he’s about to die and the Reader used that to change just enough things to make the third loop.
The third loop: the current loop with Desmond awakening his Founding Titan power during his first Animus session and, later on, making a deal with Altaïr to change the past using Altaïr as his ‘spokesperson’.
==== For the Alchemist Section ====
The mail courier’s perseverance traveled as far as his mail and it was now up to the local courier to make sure it arrived in its proper destination safe and sound.
Their little village rarely received mails before the alchemist took residence in the abandoned house up the hill and it had become part of his daily job to bring new mails and take the alchemist’s daily shipment but…
Things had been hectic around these parts. Harvest season was upon them and they had been so busy these past three months because of it. He knew that the mails were being delivered much later than usual but they haven’t heard a complaint just yet which was nice, especially with the heavy rainfall they’ve been getting lately. Everyone was quite worried for their corps.
Still, it was up to him to make sure he was able to deliver the ones that do manage to get to their village and send the ones the alchemist was able to finish in the midst of them helping with the preparations for harvest season.
But…
The chimney’s smoke was red.
The kind of red that reminded him of blood.
The alchemist made the weirdest things whenever they feel like it. The moving clay doll last month was one of them.
So…
He took a deep breath and prepared to knock on the door-
Only to gasp when he smelled the smoke.
It was because he was too close to the house. Even if the smoke was coming out of the chimney and dispersing into the air, it was still quite close.
His body…
… feels so hot right now.
He fell on his knees and began to pant, the heat seemingly coiling all over his body distracting him from the creaking sound the front door always make.
Then…
He felt cold air hit him like a puff of smoke.
And the heat disappeared.
Leaving only embarrassment with the way his body had reacted.
It was like…
“Sorry about that.”
He raised his head and…
… came face to face with a complete hazmat suit that covered the alchemist from head to toe. The only reason why he even know it was the alchemist because of the white and red butterfly brooch that they had always worn, now adorning the helmet of their hazmat suit like it was a hairpin.
“It would be better if you stay by the fence and shout instead. I’ll take my mail and give you my deliveries instead.”
The alchemist made a motion with their hand and he weakly stood, using his courier standard bag to hide his shame as he handed the alchemist the mails he had received today.
“Uuuhh… is it…” He looked behind the alchemist and the entire house looked alright from what he could see.
“It’s just for this week. This week’s…” The alchemist paused for a moment before adding, “… No. Next Monday’s quite special, I suppose.”
“Oh?”
“I’ll have this done later this evening. Please come back by then instead.” The alchemist requested and he nodded.
“Alright. I’ll see you later then.”
With that said, the alchemist closed the door, leaving the courier unable to ask…
If they actually did not see his shame or if…
They simply didn’t care?

Now AOT is over...
So, I read the final chapter of Attack On Titan and there are a lot of thoughts and feelings. But overall I'm pleased with the whole story and the ending. I trusted Isayama and he didn't disappoint me.
There are certain things I'd like to go into detail about Levi, Ymir, Mikasa, Eren etc and certain moments during the story.
So if anyone cares here we go. (warning, this got long and contains spoilers for chapter 139 and obviouisly the whole story!)
First, Ymir Fritz, Eren, and Mikasa.
The more we got to know Ymir, the more we knew about her circumstances and how it all started, the more I asked myself, why she doesn’t simply stop all of the misery, if she can and, obviously, has the power to do so (chapter 122).
I thought, perhaps, because she loves King Fritz so much, after all, she sacrificed herself in order to protect him (which I didn’t like at all, because he was a shitty person). But then I wasn't sure if Isayama would use 'love' in such a way. He did and it's nothing new but it's something we can all understand. Love is good, but it can also be something bad, something toxic, and Ymir was most likely a slave of her own feelings because she didn't know better. Her life was miserable until she got the power to become a Titan and gave birth to the daughters of the king. But as you can see, at the beginning of chapter 122 she watches a couple getting married and that was what she wanted too. To be loved. This was the love she knew and the love she protected and believed that was true love (most likely) because she didn't know a different kind of love.
When Eren told her, that she can decide and asked her to give him the power he needs, it didn’t sit well with me. I guess because I never connected Eren to have any romantic feelings (though I guessed so much when it comes to Mikasa and he simply wanted to be cool or something). But AOT in itself doesn’t display love in the way we usually see, that became very clear to me with each new chapter. And love is not the first thing that comes to my mind when I think about AOT.
Now about Eren.
Oh boy, look at that. When Eren slowly became the villain I liked the idea but at the same time I was questioning it. It simply made no sense to me why he would want to kill everyone and yet care so deeply about his friends. Also, Isayama is not that sort of person to let his characters act out of character. Whatever the characters I agreed with it because that was how Isayama created them. That's why, when it came out that Eren was able to see the past, present, and future, I thought he probably saw a way to stop all of this and protect his friends. Isayama played us good, when Eren was rude towards Mikasa and Armin and then the rumbling came, but I constantly thought 'No, there must be more to it'. And yeah, Eren saw a possible future because everything was unclear to him and he grabbed that chance and took it.
Remember in the first season, when Eren, Levi, and Levi's squad were fighting against the female titan and that Eren has to decide what he should do and what not? That he has to accept the consequences? Yeah, Eren did that and he knew it was bad but it was the way he believed in and saw, even if it meant to kill 80% of humanity (what the...) and sacrifice his own life. I don't see Eren as a hero nor as a villain. But he definitely acted on his own free will and accepted the consequences.
Now about Mikasa.
Well, I'll be honest, I was never a fan of Mikasa. I didn't like how she was solely focused on Eren and didn't seem to have her own goals that were not connected to Eren. I simply didn't like that and Eren wasn't my favourite either, but I love their development. The moment I started to feel sorry for her was when Eren said he hated her. You see, I get it, I understand why Mikasa is the way she is and I'm simply no fan of this 'I do everything for you, fuck everyone else' especially not in a world like AOT, I also understand the Ackermann Bond (I ship Eruri after all). So I was really pissed at Eren to stomp on her feelings like that because, no matter how much I like or dislike a person, you don't treat them the way Eren did (also toward Armin). From that moment on, I enjoyed her development and when she cut off Eren's head I was sad and happy for her.
So, in many ways, Mikasa is like Ymir, or rather, Ymir is like Mikasa, but on a whole different level. Mikasa, who devoted herself to Eren, just like Ymir did to King Fritz, saw that what he was doing was wrong and she decided to stop him. She loves him still, of course, but she was able to do what Ymir couldn't and she did it for the greater good. Because there is more than Eren, there are more people who deserve to live. I did like that and also that her action was the eye-opener for Ymir. It doesn't change the way Mikasa feels about Eren, and that's okay, but she was willing to kill the person she loves more than anything because it was the right thing to do. Ymir simply couldn't do what Mikasa did because she didn't know better.
About Levi, Erwin's death, Armin saving humanity, Berthold wasn't supposed to die, and just some thoughts about AOT in general.
Now, I do ship Levi and Erwin together and I was sure Levi would die and meet Erwin in the afterlife and then Isayama would out them (haha). But I'm just happy that Levi survived and is now the adopted uncle of Gabi and Falco. He's my favorite character and a lot of things would have ended badly without him. For me, he and Erwin and their squad represented not only a strong force and saviours but also how you probably have to be in order to survive/handle a world like AOT.
So I was shocked, at first, when Levi saw Erwin and the others because I thought he would die, but when the tear ran down his cheek, I could feel how everything fell of his shoulders. Levi never cried, never had time to mourn his comrades because he understood the world they were living in and that he needed to keep on moving. I never considered him as someone cold because he clearly wasn't. But he also never cried and seeing that... finally. And I'm sure he cried some more after everything. I thought he would cry (he was close to though and perhaps did when he was alone) when Erwin died because that fucking broke him.
Their relationship fascinated me even before I started to ship them but it broke my fucking heart when Erwin died too.
And here we come to the part about Armin and Bertholg.
I was so pissed that Armin survived and even more when things just became worse. I thought, in AOT, you can't solve everything through talking. It worked during certain critical moments, yes, but it simply isn't the main key for everything when it comes to the world of AOT.
So, I never understood why Armin had to survive and not Erwin and it became more and more confusing for me as the story continued because Armin, clearly, is not Erwin and he doesn't have what Erwin has. I don't know if things would have been better with Erwin being in charge, but he would have definitely done something while Armin didn't know what to do. Sure, he is younger than Erwin, doesn't have the experience as Erwin does and in his core he is very different, and that's totally fine. Armin is fine the way he is, but during the story. I constantly found myself thinking: 'With Erwin and his mind, we wouldn't be in such a situation'. I once read somewhere that Levi and Erwin are too smart to be fooled by, for example, Yelena. I can't help but agree.
And today, when I read the final chapter and Eren said 'Berthold wasn't supposed to die on that day' and also, that he couldn't see the past and future as separated paths but everything at once I thought, that this is Isayama giving us his version but there are also many many other ways this story could go. Which is, for me, such a sweet and grateful message. We are free to choose our path (fanfiction/fanart etc) and to create a different story, but this AOT version is his version and how he imagined it, or rather, how Eren saw one possible happy end.
I'm still certain with Erwin around things would have been different, better even, but I understand Eren too. I guess, he didn't only choose Armin because he knew things would have a happy ending for his friends. He also choose Armin because of personal feelings. I wonder what would have happened if Berthold survived, was there also a happy end but without Armin? And perhaps without the rumbling? I think it's nice that Isayama did this and that he, basically, points at a different way but it's up to us.
Now, the rumbling is over and so is the power of the titans and in such a world, someone like Armin is the right person to be in. Now it's all about talking, having a proper conversation, creating relationships through words. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Erwin would have been able to do that as well, but Armin is much more diplomatic than Erwin because he doesn't want to fight or kill, it's really the last option for him. Erwin on the other hand wouldn't hesitate, and someone like him was important for the world before the rumbling was over.
Now some general thoughts about AOT now that it's over.
Okay, so, I watched tons of Anime when I was a teenager and the best thing for me was Death Note. But after Death Note I found nothing that really interested me and a lot of weird stuff. I don't know, it simply wasn't for me. However, I continued reading my yaoi Mangas and even studied Japanese for a year. Then, I did hear about Attack on Titan but I was so used to shitty Anime that I thought it would be shitty too (the next best thing I found was Yuri on Ice). However, a friend of mine gave me the first season and I thought, well, why not. I was so wrong and through AOT I found my way back to Anime.
It's not just the story, not just the art-style I like, it's Isayama and his brain I enjoy so much. I'm a very logical person and I like it when stories and things make sense and are connected from the beginning till the end and when it never feels forced but natural, true, loyal to the characters and the world they created. I don't know how he does it but I'm so grateful for AOT and that he decided to share this amazing story with us (even though it was fucking painful and my poor Levi). It's really been a while for me to find a story that caught me like Death Note did many years ago.
So, ありがとう、Isayama-San!
But I'd love to know more about the Ackermans and Levi and perhaps we'll get a book like Answers etc later. That would be great.

Attack on Titan: Levi [ISTP]
MYSTERYLOVER123 NOTE: Originally submitted to Funky MBTI in Fiction; however, Charity doesn’t allow Anime typings, so I forward them to my own blog and publish them here. Enjoy, AoT fans!
WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD (for Attack on Titan anime Seasons 1 & 2, Levi’s backstory OVAs, and character interviews)! In order to write the best profile I could, I used some of the specific details that led me to type Levi as I have. Please do not read this if you don’t want to be spoiled. Also, I use “Scouts” instead of “Survey Corps” (SC) in this analysis. I hope that doesn’t bug anyone too much!
UNOFFICIAL TYPING BY: luminousglorygrace
Tumblr media
Introverted Thinking (Ti): Levi believes, and acts based upon, the things that make the most logical sense to him. While he is physically talented, he doesn’t jump without looking, so to speak, as much as an Se dominant character might (such as Eren, an ESFP). Levi’s words and actions at Eren’s court hearing (season 1) reveal his use of Ti. He says that he personally believes that pain is the best tool for discipline. Not that pain is objectively the best tool, not that he recommends all leaders implement a system of pain for discipline, but that he, personally, thinks pain is effective, and so he uses it to demonstrate his ability to control Eren. He also plays a role in convincing the military police members, and the judge, that he and Erwin are correct in taking Eren under the Scouts’ wing by laying out the inconsistency of the MP’s thoughts. In the scene, Levi is beating Eren, and the MP leader tells him to stop because he fears Eren will get angry and turn into a titan. Levi points out how ridiculous that concern is. In essence, he says to the MPs, “you’re here telling us that you will torture Levi, but I’m currently torturing him, and you’re afraid? That makes no sense. It proves that I can handle him, that the Scouts can handle him, and that the MPs can’t.” (Not a direct quote, I am paraphrasing). Ti users value consistency and accuracy of thought, so Levi’s actions in the court room are classic for skilled Ti users.
We also get a small window into Levi’s inner-musings when he tells Eren (while running from the female titan in season 1), that he often wonders whether it’s better to trust oneself and one’s own skills or to trust and count on capable teammates. Looking beyond his words, this tells us that Levi’s thoughts have an undertone of “what makes the most sense to me? What is the right choice for a successful result?” Not so much for a moral/ethical reason (it’s not “which choice makes me a good person,” or “which choice is morally correct”) like an Fi user might consider. Instead, Levi wants to understand which action would produce the most successful outcome (beating the enemy, preserving life). We know that he lost his dearest childhood friends in the past because he chose to trust them (OVAs), and now he is constantly wondering what the best course of action is when faced with the same choice (trust or work alone).
In the character interviews (please see link below), Dot Pyxis says that Levi “seems to dislike the inherent irrationality of this world.” Ti users are definitely frustrated by the irrationality they see in the world. Finally, and this is a bit stereotypical, Levi is more of a reserved, introspective guy, which further suggests he’s an ISTP versus an ESTP.
Tumblr media
Extroverted Sensing (Se): Levi is known as Humanity’s Strongest (or Greatest) Soldier. His combat skills are unmatched, and everyone deeply respects his talent. He has a clear perception of the environment around him and of his own body, so he is able to act quickly (and with deadly precision) in battle. For example, he moves so fast fighting the female titan (season 1) that she is unable to harden her skin in time to defend herself. In the OVAs, we see Levi’s unique style of holding his blades. At first, he is criticized for it, but he is aware of his body, and he can feel that holding the blades the way he wants will work for him. In the end, because of how he holds the blades, he can perform his cool spinning-slice technique. Levi is also great in crisis situations because he is in tune with his surroundings. When Eren accidentally turns into a titan, Levi is able to stay calm, get in front of Eren, and tell everyone to stand down. When his squad asks him why they should be calm he says something like “I have a feeling.” It’s almost like he can sense that Eren doesn’t mean any harm, and it’s probably because he hears Eren’s panicked breathing, hears his confused exclamations, sees him trembling, etc, while his squad is so panicked that it’s hard for them to notice how Eren is responding to his titan form. Finally, Levi seems to delight in physical sensation. He enjoys the taste of black tea (so much so that he wants to open a tea shop if he lives long enough and the world around him is safe), he likes to be in clean spaces, and he likes the feel of flying through the air with ODM.
Tumblr media
Introverted Intuition (Ni): Part of why Levi’s battle skills are so incredible is because of his tertiary Ni. He has a good sense of what will happen next in a battle, so he can act quicker than others can. His speed in a fight is due to a combination of his physical ability and his ability to understand what his opponent will do next—he can move his body quickly, he is in tune with the world around him, and his quick perceptions of the world add up to him knowing what will happen next. He can move and attack based on what his opponent will soon do, not just what they are doing in the moment. My favorite example of this is during his battle with the female titan after he loses his squad (season 1). He knows that his spin technique is one of his best, so he prepares the necessary grip (Ti; this is my strength, it’s pretty special, she may not be ready for it, it makes sense to me to use this move). We see that his eyes are razor-focused on her running form, taking in every detail of her movements via Se. All of those Se impressions tell him when she’ll punch (Ni), and, before she’s even finished throwing her punch (Ni again, acting on something that isn’t fully realized in the real world), he’s already spin-slicing up her arm (Se). A really cool TiSeNi moment and a nice example of how an auxiliary Se user’s perceiving functions interact.

Extraverted Feeling (Fe): It’s clear that, underneath it all, Levi is a bit of a softie. When the Scouts are retreating to the wall, and Erwin makes it clear that the troops are to outrun the titans chasing them (season 1), no matter the cost, Levi tells the soldiers in the back to dump the bodies with a heavy heart. He even tries to ease their guilt by saying “we’ve had to leave bodies before.” He could’ve given them a strictly logical argument, like “it’s the only way we’ll move fast enough,” but he understands the pain it will cause, and he cares about his peers, so he tries to soften the command. There is also profound hurt in his eyes when he sees Petra’s body being thrown off of the cart, and he is openly stricken when the troops return to the wall, and Petra’s father talks about the fact that she likely wanted to marry Levi. Levi also gives one of the soldiers (Dieter) a wing patch to remember a fallen friend. When Levi gives Dieter the patch, Levi hints that he also keeps patches as proof that his friends once lived. Dieter is moved to tears by the heartfelt gesture. At multiple points in both season 1 and 2, when Levi talks to Erwin, Levi is openly regretful about the amount of lives that have to be lost for the cause (whereas Erwin is much more stoic about the fact that they have to do whatever it takes and sacrifice as many lives as it takes). In the OVA, Levi rampages against the titan that killed his friends, while screaming from the emotional pain, and, once he’s killed the titan, he openly weeps. Finally, for further proof of Fe being in Levi’s stack, I read a few “character interviews” going around on tumblr, and in those interviews both Erwin and Dot Pyxis talk about Levi actually being a warm and considerate person who helps bring positive emotions to the troops. Here are the relevant quotes from those interviews:
Part 1 (Erwin’s comments. Source:http://yusenki.tumblr.com/post/141836483282/au-smartpass-erwin-levi-close-up-interview)
Erwin (E): …Alright. Starting with Levi…I think he is excellent at shouldering important duties. With the title “Humanity’s Strongest” as part of the SC, our reputations have also been elevated. On the battlefield, he has also faithfully completed the tasks I have assigned to him. Despite his warmhearted nature, I’ve asked him to carry out some cruel missions…
Journalist (J): Is Captain Levi very…”warmhearted?”
E: You’ve already interviewed his subordinates, right? Then you must have heard just how much they trust their captain.
J: Indeed. I even heard the same thing from new recruits who are not from his squad.
E: He just has a rude attitude…but he cherishes his comrades’ life more than anyone else. His reputation cannot be established based on strength alone, Humans can subconsciously detect how much concern others have for them… and when they notice this kindness, it inspires power…That is something that I can’t do.
J: But I don’t think Commander Erwin is not trusted by your subordinates.
E: As the commander of SC… As the person who stands on the frontlines of humanity’s battle, I must make countless decisions that risk my soldiers’ lives. Of course, I’m able to do that because of their trust…However, I wouldn’t hesitate to make those sacrifices when we’re under dire circumstances.
J: Is it all for the sake of humanity’s future?
E: Yes. However, if I stand alone in this authoritative position, I wouldn’t be able to maintain the SC. Because he’s at my side, the SC soldiers are able to fight heroically. Levi and I’s positions cannot be exchanged.
Part 2 (Pyxis’ comments. Source:http://yusenki.tumblr.com/post/131152292543/levi-close-up-report-part-two)
Pixis (P): I have thoroughly checked Levi’s interview… Well, I think this is enough. Above all, as long as the better facets of his personality are being shown on the article, it’ll do.
Journalist: What can you say about his personality?
P: He might look violent and impolite but fundamentally he doesn’t hate humans. He seems to dislike the inherent irrationality of this world and that is why he doesn’t want to leave the memory of hurting someone…You can see that he’s full of consideration when he’s talking about his comrades. Those young soldiers subconsciously feel it and that’s why they are following him.

NOTES/Final thoughts: I know that this was long (and that this section is also long lol), so thanks for reading! I really love Levi’s character, and I think he’s a great example of a relatively balanced ISTP. I wanted to get this right! Again, this typing is based on Seasons 1 & 2 of the Attack on Titan anime, Levi’s 2 backstory OVAs, and the character interviews I found on tumblr. I do not read the manga, and those who do may have a different view of Levi!
I have seen a few people argue that Levi is an INTJ. While I certainly respect different opinions (the guy is a fictional character after all!), I admit that I’m confused by those who think Levi is an INTJ. Levi is first and foremost an extraordinary fighter. While INTJs do have Se in their stack, I argue that Levi is such an incredible fighter because Se is high in his stack. Also, when we look at why Levi is so valued by his teammates, and even why a lot of real-life fans love him, it’s because of his fighting prowess and calm demeanor…not so much because of his ability to lead the army, create high-quality battle plans, see courses of action that others can’t see, etc. In fact, I believe it’s Erwin, not Levi, who possesses the latter characteristics. I don’t see a lot of evidence of Levi having a driving, central goal, that guides his life work and motivates him to do long range planning, and I don’t see him noticing or passionately seeking some sort of truth about the world (traits we might associate with Ni users). I also don’t see him focusing on project completion or system implementation (some kind of structured, real-world manifestation of his ideas), nor do I see him trying to get others to do things in a way that he deems objectively correct (traits we might associate with a Te user). For example, Erwin really values establishing a plan of action and making sure everyone follows orders and sticks to the plan. Levi, on the other hand, is more flexible. For example, when Eren is debating whether or not he should turn into a titan to fight the female titan (season 1), Levi basically says “do it or don’t do it. Neither choice is wrong. It’s up to you.” This suggests use of the more individualistic Ti. In the same situation, we might expect Erwin to say “this is the order. Follow it,” using the more directive Te.
I believe that Erwin is the XNTJ (I haven’t thought about E versus I for him). Levi believes in Erwin’s competence and leadership abilities, so he willingly follows Erwin’s orders. After the female titan escapes (by calling other titans to devour her body; season 1), Erwin instructs Levi to replenish his supplies. Levi says that this doesn’t make sense to him (he essentially says, “we need to hurry, and I have enough to get back”). But Erwin, who is thinking several steps ahead of everyone else and preparing for the female titan to reemerge, tells Levi to follow orders and replenish. Levi listens because he trusts Erwin’s vision and plans.
Also, when the Scouts are retreating after the failed attempt to catch the female titan (season 1), 2 titans start chasing the group. Levi says to Erwin (roughly) “I don’t see any trees or buildings. We can’t fight them.” Erwin responds by saying something like “it’ll be faster to keep moving to the wall,” and Levi follows Erwin’s orders. To me this is a nice, albeit quick, interaction of TiSe (Levi) and TeNi (or NiTe; Erwin). Levi says, “here’s what I’m seeing, and here’s what I think does/does not make sense.” Erwin says, “our goal right now is to survive, because if we lose too many people we can’t continue pursuing the overarching goal of learning the truth about titans. In order to survive right now, we will take this action. Objectively, it is the best. Follow my lead.” Again, Levi listens.
Finally, in his backstory OVAs, Levi says something like: “this guy [Erwin] sees things that I can’t see [hinting at Erwin’s use of Ni], and I think he’s onto something, so I’m going to follow him.” Erwin is also the one with the clear goal of learning the truth about titans and saving humanity. He thinks of innovative ways to pursue his goal, he expects people to follow his orders, and he is willing to make difficult decisions and sacrifices to achieve this goal (qualities that speak to TeNi or NiTe). People look to Erwin to feel secure about plans and the direction of the Scouts’ work, whereas they seem to rely on Levi to be level-headed and victorious in combat (and to show them moments of tender camaraderie like the ones I described above). That’s all folks! I can’t wait for season 3 =)!

I was tagged by the beautiful, @lovingnikiforov! Thank you, love!
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
My A03 username, like my main blog, is kidspawn02. My mom plays Dragon Age, and she called me kidspawn - based off of the creatures darkspawn in the DA games. Because... I am her spawn.
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/subscriptions/hits/kudos)
Bookmarks - Five Times Dazai Didn’t Stay, And One Time He Did
Subs - Naga, Save Me
Hits - Naga, Save Me
Kudos - In Which Akutagawa Is Weak For Cute Boys
3. What is your AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
It changes a lot - usually to a character I’m fond of. Right now, it’s Yuuri Katsuki.
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
Everyone who comments makes my whole life. I need a lot of positive reinforcement, so anyone who puts in the effort to comment is an absolute angel in my eyes.
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
This world we live in
You Wouldn’t Do That, Right?
I’m a catch
Placebo
Droughts in Pink Deserts
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
15 works, 2 users (subs)
28 bookmarks
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
I don’t really have..... recurring AU, but I like toying around with Fairytale AU
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
I have 156 bookmarks, and 107 subscriptions
9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
Not really XD This fandom’s pretty wild - I’ve read fics about Atsushi with a barbed penis I think I’ve found the dark side XD
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
I want to be better about writing smut - oh, and not abandoning my WIPs.
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
Popular ships - but I have a fondness for rarepairs.
12. How many stories have you posted on AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
13. 8 complete, 5 WIPs
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
I can’t even count. I have way too many fics on my Google Docs. XD
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
Mostly in my head - if I can’t pump out a chapter, I’ll just think about it a lot.
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
Yes - I wrote an OHSHC with my friend when I was like... eleven or twelve.
16. How did you discover AO3?
Hetalia.
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3?
I think in BSD, and in the FE: Fates, but not in anything else. I have a fairly popular AOT fic, and a decently popular Death Note one, but neither of those made me.... like, well-known or anything.
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
Not really.
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
JK Rowling, and Rick Riordan. But my style is more inspired by Jennie Melamed
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
Just keep going. Someone will be there to appreciate your content - someone appreciates your content. Don’t let trolls or rude people get you down. You’re valid and have a strong place in this fandom.
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
..... figure it out.
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
Yes. My first PJO fic. I deleted my Fanfiction.net account.

DEFINTITELY.
28. What is your favorite story that you’ve written?
Five Times Dazai Didn’t Stay and One Time He Did

Making Shades of Purple
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
Um..... writing.
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
Metaphors - I love integrating metaphors into all of my works. It’s probably one of my favourite parts.
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
Not getting sidetracked
33. Why do you write?
It’s always been my passion. No matter what other option has been presented to me, the idea of melding characters, ideas, creativity, and logic into one little drabble or a long, winding story. I also like that I can share a piece of myself with all of you. It’s the closest I’ve gotten to opening up to someone in a long time.

Okay so I’m really into Attack on Titan and Fire Emblem so naturally I made up a crossover in my head with AoT characters in a FE formulated type of world. The idea started because I really like Knight!Reiner and Prince!Bertolt and it kinda...grew from there. But yeah, below the ‘Keep Reading’ is basically the 104th training squad’s (and Marcel’s) profiles that I took way to much time writing up and detailing. If anyone wants to talk about this AU with me, give me ideas, or wants to push me to write for it (I respond well to pushing!) I would be more than happy to speak about it!
(And if you were wondering about romance in this AU, Reibert and Yumikuri is a given. The rest I’m still contemplating, which you could see in how I handle some profiles)
Okay so a lot of the profiles have character descriptions that we are all familiar with since we already know how these characters are in the manga/anime but I gave them some twist based on the new universe they’re in. Plus some have to change more than others due to them being more plot relevant in this AU.
(Note: Some of this is tentative and open to change.)
Republic of Havilah: aka desert country
Eren Jaegar
Class: Mercenary
Weapon: Swords
Profile: A mercenary from the republic of Havilah. His father went missing when he was young and, soon after, his mother was killed by bandits. He’s on a mission to kill the bandits who murdered his mother and find out what happened to his father all while taking on mercenary work around the continent. Hot headed and driven, he’s the type to not stop until he gets what he wants which also tends to get him in trouble. Luckily for him he has much more level headed friends.
Mikasa Ackerman
Class: Myrmidon
Weapon: Swords
Profile: A mercenary from the republic of Havilah. Her parents were killed as an act of revenge on the Ackerman family and, afterwards, she was taken in by the Jaegar family. Doesn’t actively seek revenge on those who killed her parents or adoptive parents, but the trauma has made her fiercely protective over the only family she has left, Eren. Serious, focused, and seemingly not interested in making friends outside of Eren and Armin but can open up to others given time. Her hard exterior hides a much more fragile interior.
Armin Arlert
Class: Wind Sage
Weapon: Wind Magic (mastered), Fire Magic, Thunder Magic
Profile: A mercenary from the republic of Havilah. His parents were mercenaries who died on the job leaving him in the custody of his grandfather until he died of natural causes. Level headed and intelligent, he makes sure his best friend, Eren, doesn’t get into too much trouble. Has low self-esteem but gets more confident over time thanks to Eren and Mikasa’s constant support. The type to support the idea of “the end defeats the means” and whose realism can create friction with both idealist and pessimist.
*Note: In regards to romance with these three I’m still unsure of who I want them to be with. I’m leaning towards ArminxAnnie and MikasaxJean but I’m also open towards Annie or Mikasa being with Eren...hmmm.
**Extra Note: Magic users are going to go by the FE: Radiant Dawn formula of Fire/Thunder/Wind Mage->Fire/Thunder/Wind Sage->Archsage.
Okay so this whole idea started because I love the idea of Prince!Bertolt and Knight!Reiner, so lets get to them now!
Kingdom of Abaddon: a cold, mountainous country. Volcano land.
Bertolt Hoover
Class: Wyvern Rider
Weapon: Axes
Profile: Crown Prince of the absolute monarchy of Abaddon. Extremely sheltered, kept inside the castle grounds, never ventured outside to even the castle town. His father tells him it’s for his own good because bandits have been roaming the land and would like nothing more than to use the king’s only son as a hostage. Shy young man with low self-esteem. Has a wyvern named Mathilda who is kept on a long chain (long enough to fly off the ground, short enough to not go far). Believes he has no will of his own but as he gets older he longs to interact with the people he knows he will one day rule.
Reiner Braun
Class: Great Knight
Weapon: Swords, Lances, Axes
Profile: Retainer to Prince Bertolt. An orphan taken in by the aristocratic Braun family at a young age. Being a noble from a high house he was allowed to briefly interact with Bertolt when they were young. He and his older brother, Marcel, were also the ones to train and spar with Bertolt as they got older. Doesn’t have a shy bone in his body and believes he could do anything he sets his mind to but can also be hard headed and oblivious. In love with Bertolt and completely devoted to his protection. Unaware that Marcel loves Bertolt as well. Has a loyal horse named Clive.
Marcel Braun
Class: Paladin
Weapon: Swords, Lances
Profile: Retainer to Prince Bertolt. First born son to the noble Braun family. One day found little orphan Reiner and refused to let go. Like Reiner, he was allowed to briefly interact with Bertolt when they were young and trained together when they got older. More serious than Reiner and worries about everything about as much as Bertolt. Extremely protective of those he cares about and suspicious of people he doesn’t know well. In love with Bertolt but knows that Reiner is too and finds it hard to reconcile his desire for Reiner’s happiness with his own. Has a horse name Claire that he spoils rotten.
*Note: Marcel’s hard to write about because there’s so little about him in the actual manga, so I took some liberties with his personality.
**Extra Note: Okay so I HATE love triangles! You might be asking yourself now “Then why did she make one?!” It’s because I want to show a love triangle that ends in a well and healthy manner. At the end of the day Marcel...well, doesn’t stand a chance and I think it will be nice to write his longing but eventual acceptance and all the emotions he feels in between.
Theocracy of Elysia: plains and beautiful rolling hills.
Historia Reiss/Krista Lenz
Class: Troubadour->Valkyrie
Weapon: Staves, Light Magic as a Valkyrie
Profile: Illegitimate daughter of the Reiss family. Niece to the Hierophant, Uri Reiss, and daughter to his brother, Rod Reiss, and Rod’s mistress, Alma. Ignored and neglected, Historia runs away from home and assumes a fake identity. The type to always help people but only so that she could be praised. Outwardly selfless, inwardly selfish. Doesn’t actually know what she wants out of life or what she hoped to find by running away (death? recognition? love? acceptance?). When she finally thinks she knows what she wants, a meeting with a mysterious woman named Ymir may change her mind.
Ymir
Class: Thief?
Weapon: Swords, ???
Profile: A mysterious young woman with no family and no past. Wanders around and steals to survive, though never from the poor. Talks in a brash, selfish manner but does many acts of good faith. All she wants out of life is to survive it. Has nightly, cryptic dreams that she tries to ignore, feeling that figuring them out will lead her to trouble, or worse yet, death. Is confused and intrigued by Historia after meeting her and in an effort to begin understanding her, decides that they should travel together.
Kingdom of Zephyria: aka forest country.
Annie Leonhardt:
Class: Pegasus Knight
Weapon: Lance
Profile: Crown Princess of Zephyria. Cold, distant, and slow to warm up to others. All-in-all, not the friendliest person. A bit of a pessimist though appreciates a good dose of idealism. An intelligent young woman who uses her words wisely and could come off as philosophical if in the presence of someone who might appreciate such insight. Her father taught her hand-to-hand combat with the idea in mind that she shouldn’t always rely on her pegasus or weapon to get out of bad situations. Constantly annoyed by her retainer’s, Marlo and Hitch’s, bickering but knows they’re both actually kind-hearted people, a trait she values. Has a pegasus named Catria.
Jean Kirchstein
Class: Cavalier
Weapon: Sword, Lance
Profile: A soldier of Zephyria and Marco’s best friend. A pessimist who wants to rise in the ranks so that he could live a better life in the capital rather than dealing with the minor issues of the people in the backwoods. Cynical but, when push-comes-to-shove, will fulfill his duty as a soldier. Despite his hard exterior, he deeply cares for his comrades and friends. Is infatuated with Mikasa the moment he sees her. Has a horse named Sully.
Marco Bodt
Class: Cavalier
Weapon: Lance, Sword
Profile: A soldier of Zephyria and Jean’s best friend. An optimist who wants to rise in the ranks so that he could serve the royal family and dedicate himself to their safety. Probably has a motivational speech thought up for every occasion. Tries to see the best in everyone, which sometimes can come off as him being naive. Waiting patiently for Jean to tell Mikasa how he feels but begins to wonder if he should just annoy Jean with motivational speeches until he confesses. Has a horse named Stahl.
Sasha Braus
Class: Archer
Weapon: Bow
Profile: From a small hunting village called Dauper in the southern part of Zephyria. An incredible hunter in her own right, she has good eyes and sharp instincts. A simple young woman who loves to laugh and has a ravenous appetite. Eventually receives a horse she names Sigurd.
Connie Springer
Class: Villager
Weapon: Axe
Profile: From a small lumber village in southern Zephyria called Ragako. After his village gets razed to the ground and his family killed by bandits he begins traveling with Eren and his friends. Though saddened by those turn of events, Connie is normally an optimistic, caring, though somewhat naive and slow to understand things young man. Likes to joke around with Sasha, especially because it’s so easy to make her laugh.
(While I’m not writing a profile for them right this second, Erwin is a Hero who uses swords and axes, Levi is an assassin who uses swords, daggers, and bows, and Hanji is a trickster who uses swords and staves.)

☕️☕️ for 1. coffee! and 2. video game soundtracks (or just video games if u want). we are in a cafe on a sunny afternoon, facing each other across our booth and sipping our fancy drinks that are in real ceramic mugs like some fancy cafes do. talk to me about these things -tt
TT ANON CATERING TO MY INTERESTS....... good meowrning to u my beloved. or good evening idk. hope u had or will have a good day <3 this cafe's atmosphere is really nice i sure hope it's a cat cafe btw. but anyway *analysis youtuber voice* let's get to the heart of it.
coffee... more like WORLD'S MOST MISERABLE BEVERAGE!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 ok more seriously i just don't like coffee NSJKFSKFH. i know there are people who dislike the taste but enjoy the smell, well i dislike Both! it's just so bitter it makes me sad. i tried adding deranged amounts of cream, or milk, or sugar, and nothing. it kept that bitterness. now coffee pastries??? that's entirely different i love coffee éclairs i love coffee macarons i don't even think they taste much like coffee at all but at least they're sweet and not bitter!! i respect coffee drinkers but that is simply not me 😔 makes more coffee for all the coffee likers at least!
and vidygame soundtracks... ohoho. idek if i can say i have an "opinion" on them i feel like this is just an invitation for me to ramble HDSHJFKH and so i will bc there's nothing more enjoyable to pass the time than Talking About Stuff I Like. umm so this is gonna go without saying but a game can really be make or break based on the soundtrack alone. i don't know a single good game with a bad soundtrack but i know quite a few games that wouldn't have had the same impression on me if the soundtrack was a miss. my attachment to night in the woods, aside from the endearing characters, really comes from the fact the entire soundtrack fits the game so well. bc there's some stuff i don't like in the games! like the way the game ends, idk if it's really dislike but it just... kind of left me there? the game doesn't give u time to process it or anything. but like the soundtrack bangs so i don't even care. the soundtrack of a game can rlly truly pull you into that universe. u already know what game i'm gonna talk about but gris might've been less phenomenal hadn't it been for its soundtrack, which btw is on spotify (and so is the nitw soundtrack) so any spotify users who want those soundtracks gogogo!! another game like that would be okami, very different ofc but the soundtrack is REALLY good and also on spotify c:. that's a great game btw heavily recommend it even if the sidekick is extremely kickable. umm in general i've always had a big love for soundtracks from the legend of zelda games as questionable as those games are, but when it comes to the music genuinely fitting the game breath of the wild did it amazingly. i think that's what makes the game so fun to explore even if you're not doing any quests, you can just run around and visit places and the music accompanies you, it's very pleasant! it just feels comfortable. very good another game soundtrack i'd rlly recommend is bravely default's - i haven't played any game other than the first one so i can't say much of the others but tracks like silence of the forest or beneath the hollow moon Saved My Life. it's a shame that allegedly the person who composed the soundtrack also worked on... aot... 🤡🤡🤡 BUT ANYWAY LOL in that same way the sung track from fire emblem fates (if~hitori omou) is gorgeous and i love to sing it <3 in general fire emblem soundtracks aren't too memorable (like no i can tell you if a track is from an fe game but it's not like, That Good) but that one song and don't speak her name from fire emblem awakening are two very good tracks. if u check out all of those u will probably find a pattern i'm not sure what pattern but there's a pattern DHSJFHJSK... i'm not gonna go on and talk about ace attorney's soundtrack even if i really like it bc i feel like you have to play the games to enjoy them otherwise they're just eh, HOWEVER i will say. professor layton soundtracks. they're REALLY good even if they REALLY feel like what i imagine britain is like (except for the azran legacy ig idk i forgot where it takes place exactly lmao) and like i just think they're neat! they make me emotional! so uh yeah that was my rambling about videogame soundtracks!!!!!!!!!! and if u have any more specific questions about videogames i'd love to answer them <333
