I’m not an advocate for mindless purchases any more. I’ve had enough pieces sitting around unused over the years. I most certainly held this one to my chest because I’m no flexer. No unboxing videos like last year. I haven’t been feeling SM at all really. Truthfully I wasn’t interested in learning another program. And I love learning. She sat 4 months and I was tempted to put her on OfferUp because I couldn’t get her to pair in logic. (Hunch) In a moment of crisis, I needed a distraction from all the others. So I opened the program and YouTube and began tinkering. I’m soo glad I forced myself. Pads feel and respond amazingly. Program seems fairly easy to learn amd my drums are encouraging me to push through. I’m praying continuity. Last night during my twitch session, I felt the words of my new friend as she added another to her ever growing list of loved ones who have ascended to “C”. I don’t care about numbers as much as I care about the need to service people with music. Occasionally we have to SPEAK to the hearts of men. This work is necessary. It doesn’t always live in mindless music that everyone know. It’s what makes the difference in thoughtful curation. It’s been hard for me these last few weeks in social media. An array of under acknowledged emotions live here. People are hiding from the pain of this period. And we are being reminded daily of the uncertainty. It looks like fun and games. It’s not. What we do takes a lot of effort and is never a completely finished product, but a work in progress. There is tons of give in the internet. Yes you can “play” / dabble here too, but understanding the reflection that it has on all your possibilities says, don’t play too much. I often consider taking a hard break, from SM. Especially now that one of my askings has manifested in @samuelmosching. The issue is I have had lots of askings since Feb 2021 and based on manifestations, I cannot. What I can be is harshly specific, if that’s what it takes. If you know the direction I’m headed in, you won’t take any of it personal and trust that it is for all parties betterment. I know what you may think. She’s on the management team so this is her job. And while that is true, I also know what I require in venues that have good music and decor has changed. I site music and decor first because I’m a lite weight drinker. I love the art of mixology, but I’m not a big drinker. I like creative and sweet pourings... @missadib always has me covered. Gone are the days when you simply go to a bar for drinks, music and atmosphere. This was a part of the long conversations I’d have, before I moved here. If you only serve alcohol people will come for a drink or two unless the music and crowd was slamming. They’d leave, in search of food. And yes food is a huge cost to cover. I’m not the hardest person to please with food. I know what works.
