Sometime in the very late 90's, startup company R-Trek wanted to break into the snow transport market. Their first product was this: The R-Trek Bobble, an adorable 1-seater enclosed snowmobile with a four-track arrangement. It was designed with snow resort personnel and cargo transport in mind, since the four-track arrangement gave it more torque and grip. Despite the goofy design, it actually sold well in the Canadian and American market, managing to move over 30,000 units between 1997 and 2004.

In 1975, Jorge Fink, of Baton Rogue, Louisiana, would look upon his 1972 Super Beetle, which had just been flooded in a rain storm, and wonder to himself; "What if I were to make it float, next time?". By 1976, he would have begun his legacy, of producing the J. Fink Submersive Autos Catfish, a kit car producible from a 1972 onwards Superbeetle, powered by the original Flat 4, although with a modification to allow the engine to become a propeller, much like the original Schwimmwagen of the Germans, though able to be switched on from a lever in the cockpit, rather than having to be manually dropped by hand on the original design. It was designed for comfort, and thus was one of the most expensive kit cars to purchase, although it could also be bought straight from the company, with a man coming to pick up your donor Beetle by the end of the month to build your new submersible vessel. A staggering 2900 would be built from the factory (with another 900 kits purchased from 1977-1983), using donor cars, leading to the surprisingly successful Submersive Autos (name changed in 1983, for simplicity), to be purchased by Cutts & Case Shipyard, in 1985, where it would become a subsidiary company, designing growingly successful kits, but soon, an entirely unique amphibious car, the company still operating today as Fink Submersive Autos, or FSA.

The HighwayStruct Logo that was used in the latest illustration of TFTTOH chapter 1 of the Roadway Plan poster. I've uploaded it here as a separate PNG file for use in future projects.

Universe 29A Lore: This logo was the last logo design to be used by HighwayStruct, and was used by them as their corporate logo between 1965 up until their bankruptcy in 1972. The logo was designed by Canadian graphic designer Adam J. Fox who was commissioned by the company to design a new minimalist logo to replace their pervious Highway and Car logo that they used between 52 and 65 with various design changes. What Adam came up was a logo that represented a Highway junction with the two sides representing which side American road traffic drive on. The Red for traffic on the right, and the Grey representing traffic on the left with both having a slip-road and a spiral junction on both sides in the shape of an R. This logo would become HighwayStructs most recongizable and iconic of all their logo's, as it was seen as a symbol of their dominance of the US road construction market during that time period and later their evitable demise during their final years.

on january fourth, right after announcing yet another project group, GLASSHOUSE had something else hidden in their pockets — and that something is a collaboration with FUNKO INC. and MGA ENTERTAINMENT for CRYSTYLE's own doll line to be made in the near future!

both companies released what would be the finished products, and fans couldn't get enough of it! the dolls' design is more made to fit the members own personal concept / brand, and not the brand of CRYSTYLE, but fans can't help but adore it even more because it shows where the artists originally are from. MEW's funko pop doll keeps to her feline concept, SAGE's shows her flashy & glittery side just like during JADED; where she's known as the leader that knows what she wants, ROSARIO's is fearless and indomitable, SOUR GRAPES' fits her ongoing punk and girl crush concept, while TOMIE's brings back STUPID CUPID in the design, which can also be seen in their BRATZ dolls as well!

some were more judgemental of GLASSHOUSE's decision to develop dolls for each CRYSTYLE member, calling favouritism, but were quickly slammed with positive comments on social media; underneath are only a handful amount of those positive comments from lots and lots that could be found with one simple search!

This is a 1981 Kenneth Motor Home Conversions Company (KMHCC, for short) Minihome, based off of the VW Bus Westfalia. It’s a complete conversion of the German van, turning it into a home on four wheels, with a completely new body, an extendable side deck (not shown), and a (semi) private bathroom, all in one. It cost 4 times the MSRP of a Westfalia, without the purchase cost of the van for conversion included. Between 3000 and 3500 were produced, with about 800 still known to exist. Produced from 1980-1991, with the discontinuation of the Westfalia (in North America) in 1991. The tooling was sold to a Brazilian company, and the cars were built in Brazil from 1993-2013 when the Westfalia was finally discontinued in Brazil, with Brazilian production totaling to over 8900 models built. One incredible thing to note is that this was the type of van used by NASA to transport astronauts to the shuttle, which is what the color scheme and background allude to. NASA had owned and operated three of these vans until 2019, where they were replaced with all-new Kenneth Ultravans, made by the same company. NASA still keeps one original on reserve at the KSC, while the other two reside in the Petersen Auto Museum and at Houston's Johnson Space Center respectively.

like he shows up in germany the first time like “if there’s time for it i’d love to catch a show while i’m here, germany has such a vibrant theatre scene”.

and edgeworth's like “absolutely we can make that happen, i believe there’s a major schiller production running at the moment and it should have english surtitles”.

and phoenix is like “oh yeah no i’m sure it’s really solid but actually there’s a shakespeare production i’m interested in”.

edgeworth is like “okay odd choice for someone supposedly interested in the german theatre scene, but yeah who can say no to shakespeare". but they get there and it turns out it's this like peak weird experimental avant-garde german theatre production of coriolanus that’s set in a bdsm club. for like four hours edgeworth keeps looking over at phoenix like “what in the actual fuck is happening right now right now” but no matter what is happening onstage, phoenix just keeps watching it intently, finger pressed to his lips, the same pensive furrow to his brow that he gets in court when listening to testimony.

but afterwards when they're sipping their after-show aftercare tea in the lobby phoenix is waving his arms all over the place as he's like “SUCH an effective use of consent! the way they just continually wove it into everything. the almost brechtian emersion it created. the way it laid bare the underlying themes around consent of the governed. and then tying that in with the obvious angle of the performative masculinity of militarism and an audience that demands to be played to, and drawing the comparison between that and both bdsm AND theatre itself. an obvious comparison of course, but SO well done! just wow!"

and edgeworth who still hasn't quite managed to process anything beyond that first moment when coriolanus walked onstage in full leather daddy get-up and has a white-knuckled death grip on the after-show aftercare blanket wrapped around his shoulders just nods weakly and croaks out a vague “i'm glad you enjoyed it”

like he's gotta be into weird and experimental theatre. he can't have been a theatre major and NOT be into weird and experimental theatre. sure he'll go see the schiller production and enjoy it, but bdsm coriolanus is what gets his Theatre Kid blood pumping, y'know.

tw: body shaming, unhealthy diet, yumi is told to loose weight ( in an unhealthy way ) when she was a kid, crying, cursing, yumi's mom is a horrible mom, pls lmk if i missed anything !!!

yumi was exhausted.

the reason for yumi's exhaustion wasn't the usual factors: practice, interviews, studio sessions, etc. it was her mother.

she had called to congratulate yumi on her magazine shoot with vouge korea, a dream of hers since she was a little girl. her call was surprising, considering the fact she never called for anything unless she needed money. but regardless, yumi answered the call in hopes of it not turning out like all their other phone calls: in a dispute.

“im only saying that you should loose a little weight, yumi.” her mother argumented from the other side of the phone, “you won't be hired for another magazine shoot if you keep putting on more weight.”

the younger sighed, running her hands through her hair, “i put on that weight intentionally, mom,” yumi explained, exasperated, “i was getting alarmingly skinny, it wasn't healthy.”

her mother grumbled, her words barely audible, “didn't you learn anything from the years you spent modeling? skinny is what sells best.”

in that moment, yumi felt like she was back at her old modeling agency. tears were streaming down her face as her agent screamed about how she hadn't lost the weight they had told her to loose.

“but i just can't loose it!” the 10 year old girl choked out between cries, “i've tried but nothing works, unnie.”

the woman scoffed, rolling her eyes, “well, try harder. i will be calling your mother to inform her about your inability to follow orders.”

“are you even paying attention to me, yumi?” her mother hissed, “i swear, you never pay attention to me when i speak.”

yumi snapped back to reality, realizing she had been suppressing her tears all while her mother went on her rant. her head was pounding from the force of keeping her tears from falling. the pain made her dizzy, she felt like she was going to faint at any moment.

“mom, i have to go. call you some other time.”

with that yumi hung up the call, quickly throwing her phone on her bed. she stared at it for a second, taking it all in. her eyes started to well up with tears, the sour memories of her agent screaming at her about her weight rushing into her mind.

yumi had suppressed those memories, so much so, they took her by surprise. the memories seemed so fresh in her brain, it was draining. she tried so hard to not let the tears fall, but the lump in he throat and her sped up heart beat made it increasingly difficult to do so.

“fuck-” yumi whispered as a single tear rolled down her cheek, “no, no, no-” she felt the tears start running down her face, she was breaking down.

her soft cries slowly started turned into sobs, increasingly getting louder. yumi slowly walked over to her bed, where she threw herself on. grabbing her teddy bear, she hugged it as a form of consultation but the tears wouldn't stop. her cries only got louder.

“yuyu?” a soft voice called out for from her bedroom door. the younger sat up in her bed, looking over to her door to see sunghoon. his eyes met her puffy ones and his face scrunched in confusion.

“what happened? why are you crying?” he questioned, quickly making his way over to her bed and taking a seat in front of her.

yumi knew couldn't say anything without a sob escaping her lips, but tried nonetheless, “my mom called.” she whispered, tears still streaming down her cheeks.

sunghoon's face went from confused to sad, a frown forming on his lips as he scoot closer to the girl, “oh, yuyu.” he whipped the tears from her cheeks and tucked that annoying strand of hair behind her ear.

he didn't have to hear what her mother said to know she had, yet again, body shammed yumi. it wasn't the first time she had called just to bombard her daughter with unnecessary comments about her body. sunghoon had been present the first time it happened, it was awful to see how degrading the comments were. when the call ended, yumi was close to tears and him, together with the other members, had to do damage control. but even though this wasn't the first time it had happened, she had never left her daughter sobbing.

yumi stared at the older boy for a second before collapsing on him, sobbing into his chest. he let out a small gasp, the action took him by surprise. he wrapped his arms around the girl, soothingly rubbing her back, “its okay, I'm here.”

he knew she would be crying for a while, he was mentally prepared to be there for a good while but he didn't mind. he just wanted for her to feel better, it broke his heart into a thousand pieces seeing her like this. he couldn't phantom the thought of her own mother telling her those comments, knowing it tore the girl down. he only hoped that his presence would help soothing, even if it wasn't much.
