Even with everything so up in the air with the pandemic, the thought of the Loki series, Falcon and Winter Soldier, and Wanda Vision, and all the upcoming movies in the works has still got me so excited! Hopefully when things are safer we get more info.

Well, there are now rumours that WandaVision may have finished shooting, and they’re just editing. There are only a couple of weeks I guess for FatWS left - so if they are able to finish up in the summer (it wouldn’t be before July, at the very least, I think), then we might still see that later this year/early next year? 

I was thinking today that they might spread them out a bit - FatWS in December, WV in the spring, Loki in the summer/fall of 2021 instead of spring. Fingers crossed that things don’t get worse, though.

I’m just realizing that the Marvel and Star Wars franchises probably talked with each other and said: ok Marvel releases WandaVision then FATWS. So fans don’t die waiting for the Loki series how about Star Wars, you guys release the bad batch like two week after TFATWS ends and then that will give fans a show to watch, then Loki will come out in June followed by whatever the hell else these two franchises are planning to kill us with

Unless they can magically get it on the air before May 31, 2021 - This scenario could happen, if we consider two conditions:

1 If post-production will proceed smoothly

2 If FatWS has to come out after BW or not

So, if post-production goes well, and FatWS must be aired after BW for plot reasons (originally BW was set for May and FatWS for the end of August/September), I can see Marvel fill that "void" between the end of WV and BW release. Also, originally WV was set for early 2021 (and, in fact, it will be aired in january 2021, probably as they planned at first) and Loki for spring 2021, both before DS2 (so, before May 2021). So, I think Marvel already had this kind of schedule in mind. I think it's all on how post-production will go. We will see.

Filming was originally supposed to end in June, so 8-9 months of post-production were planned. They only filmed 1/3 of the show before lockdown, so we don’t know that much post-production could even be completed. Even so, that would maaaaaaybe mean 6 months of post at a minimum. If it proceeds smoothly. 

Also, WV is 9 episodes, so runs well into March. That doesn’t leave a lot of a void to fill, tbh - they’ll be wanting to promote BW then. 

I would expect to see FatWS (finished shooting) before Loki (not finished shooting) no matter what. And I would expect Loki to be closer to the new Thor & DS2 release dates, otherwise whatever’s being set up leaves a huge void for almost a year. 

We shall see, indeed.

It has been said many times that Dr. Strange will be associated with Loki, and Thor 4, probably, too. If now they are swapped in the schedule, what do you think, will this somehow affect the release time of Loki? If earlier it was announced that it would be released in the summer or autumn of 2021 (I don’t remember exactly), now it could be winter 2022?

It was originally going to be Spring 2021 (we were figuring February/March). It wouldn’t surprise me if it gets moved to fall 2021, possibly winter 2021/22 (December-ish). And the other shows, too - maybe FatWS at Christmas, WandaVision in the spring/summer? 

We’ll see if Disney+ shifts things.
