You asked for prompts to write with our characters and Faladlain is still on my mind so: How does your character act when they meet a semi famous author they like?
Faladlain is boye(tm) I care him, please lemme give him some maps
Vie reads a lot. She spends a lot of down time reading, and is very critical of the books she reads thanks to her papas. One of her favorite books is an adventure/romance about a sylvari who went to the ends of Tyria to be with their beloved. It ends in tragedy, though, as the beloved is revealed to have died many years ago.
Back to your question though, Vie is excited! She wants to ask a million questions about the writing process! The author is kind enough, and elated that someone likes their story.
Finding someone using Tyrian Braille is extremely rare. But Farah found one. The books aren't very well known or popular, as book-reading golems are much more accessible, but actually reading by themselves is something they could never give up.
Honestly, they would never even know they met the author. They would smile and talk with the old asura, who would just be happy his way of writing is helping someone. He would even offer to teach Farah to use the machines to print Braille easier, if they'd like. They become a protégé, in a way. They only notice many months later when Romeo points it out.
Hey I rhymed

henlo! how about 🖊️ for romaeus and farah! :3c (@griffith-and-co)
ooo babies :3
Romeo "Romaeus" used to love visiting the Priory as a child. He still loves seeing the things he's painted on the walls.
Farah usually tilts their head towards someone talking to them. They can't see them, but it's still to make sure people know they're acknowledging them.

Thought for you! Largos have incredible hearing due do their nature of hunting in water (and on land while hiding in water) So, not having to split attention to all the senses, Farah most likely has even better hearing than their mom who is one of the most renowned huntresses that the houses have brought up!
👀👀👀👀👀
oh yes, this is a very good idea. Sayeh doesn't hear something but they do and she's shocked and impressed (and proud of her baby)!
They don't even have to tilt their head towards someone to hear them but they do it anyway for that other person's benefit. They stay out of cities because the loud sounds sometimes overwhelm them, especially in the Grove when saplings are just constantly shouting.

Their Love, Their Family
It's Vie and Sayeh's anniversary. Of course I had to write something.
Working in a forge was hot work. Especially with the metals the lilac was working with. She knew what she was doing, however, well trained by her uncle and the work she’d done on her own. She knew how to forge. She knew. And now, she worked. She worked hard, carefully. Shaping metal, making sure it would withstand all manner of attack.
She was making a gift. A gift for her darling, beloved mate. Sayeh needed new armor, after a hydra attack. Her mate was proud and happy to make it for her. Special, beautiful armor. Especially today, she was eager to finish.
Tiny details, intricate, flowing details. Carving images of lilacs on the pieces she made to cover her shoulders and fins. Protecting her mate was her priority, of course, but that doesn’t mean the armor can’t look good. And have a piece of her.
Vie hummed happily when she finished, setting up the armor to cool and wait for her mate. Her uncle would have it delivered to the Grove for her when it was ready. She happily kissed his cheek, before running outside and whistling for Lethallan. The griffon trilled, nuzzling her beak through her petals as she pulled to her back.
She didn’t need her griffon to get to the Grove. It was still nice to ride into the city, dive down and leap off her back into the water. She heard several sylvari questioning what happened, as she pulled up and swam to the shore. Sayeh chuckled, sitting right where she swam up.
“Hi~” She sang, “I love you.”
“I love you too, precious.”
She pulled herself closer, pressing a kiss to her mate’s mask. There were too many unknowns around for her mate to be comfortable pulling it off. Soon, though. Very soon.
They pulled into the water, Sayeh taking Vie’s hand as she swam quickly through a tunnel, to an island they’d happily claimed as their own. Within the Grove, but far enough away. This tunnel was the only way there, other than boat. Vie was working on growing a home on it, already it was beautiful and perfect.
Their quaggan children chirped happily and moved closer, swimming around them. Peloopi moved ahead of them. The family pulled onto the shore, quaggans eagerly running to greet Romeo and Farah. Vie beamed, pride pulsing through her.
This was her family. Her family, along with her mate. Children that needed her, and she was taking care of. Raising, given a family and a new chance at life.
Sayeh pulled her mask off, pressing a kiss to her mate’s temple.
“Do you know what today is?” the largos whispered.
“Our anniversary.” She looked towards her, “Occam is sending my gift when it’s cooled and ready. Well, a bit of a gift, more of… Something you needed.”
Brow raised, Sayeh turned to the children. Ah, the little ones were collecting fishing nets and spears. Both laughed softly, before Sayeh dove back into the water with the quaggans. Romeo would help with cooking their dinner. Farah excused themself, swimming out through the tunnel.
The blind largos returned as dinner was finished, the crescent moon high in the sky. A bag strapped around their torso, one Vie eagerly took and presented to her mate. The armor. Her new armor.
“Precious, you didn’t have to…”
“You needed new armor. I’d rather make something for you than get someone else to.”
“I haven’t hunted anything for you…”
“Sayeh,” Vie grabbed her hands, pulling her mate to look at her, “You don’t have to, I want you to only do things you want to. You hunt for me every day, bringing back food for us. That’s enough. I love you.”
“I love you.”
“I love both of you!” Peloopi cheered, causing a harmony of their other children to agree.
Their family. Their precious, wonderful family. Sayeh’s new life, with her mate and family. The ones she loves.

Good OP, 14+17/31+30. Give me my daily sugar intake pls
daily sugar intake in the form of Mama Sayeh and Farah!
Largos are hunters. They are terrifying, cold, and efficient. Many Houses abandon imperfect children. Farah is imperfect. They do not know their parents. Nor from which House they come from.
But Sayeh does not care. Sayeh loves her child. As the young hunter lays beside her, sightless eyes staring up at the sky. Her arm is reached to their other side, fingertips gentle upon their cheek.
"Close your eyes," she tells them. They obey. It does not change their vision either way.
She leans close. A gentle kiss to each eyelid. They smile. She feels them lean closer into her.
"Did mama tell you about that?" They ask playfully.
"No," she answers as she continues stroking their cheek, "but I am glad she knows."

Oh you thought  Takikki was the only new one? No, I also made Farah Al’ Rajihd. Sayeh and Vie’s adopted largos child. They’re blind, here’s my planned equipment for them. I have every piece I need except the blindfold and pants... One of those is easier than the other. Full post when they’re kitted out at level 80, first I’m working on their... technically half-sister from another AU, Muirgen.

4, 6, 8, 32 for Farah!
hehe largos baby. thancc for the ask!!
4. Is your oc respectful of others?
Really depends on who you are. Farah greatly respects their mothers and family, as well as the Firstborn and people of standing within Sylvari and Quaggan cultures. They give people the amount of respect they’re due from their standing, but if they don’t like you or really care, that’s all you’ll get.
6. Is your oc comfortable with themselves?
For the most part, yes. They have some days where their wings bother them, where they’re just annoyed with not being able to see, but since they were born like that, it’s not as often as someone who lost their sight.
8. Was their life eventful before the start of the story, or was it more dull?
Before their section of the story begins, they still do have to deal with “phases” of their mothers leaving to deal with fighting Elder Dragons, Gods, and all the other things Vielcos has to help the Pact deal with. While they and their siblings never dealt with it directly themselves, they did have some periods of time where they had to live with the Soggorsort quaggans until their mothers returned.
32. Which one of the 7 deadly sins fits your oc more? Do they see it as a flaw?
Hmm... For Farah, I’d probably say greed. While not completely, or even that much, at a later point in their story, their greed for wanting more in life is a strong point of contention. They were raised with sylvari and quaggan values, as well as some parts of largos- making them want to be better and be... more. They see it as a flaw once speaking with the Pale (Grand)Mother.

aaaaaaaaaaa????? hhhh okay thank you---
in that case.. I’ll answer for Takikki, Vie, and... Farah
🍂 Does your OC enjoy hugs? What do they do as a show of affection for: their friends, their family, their significant other(s) or for strangers? Over all what are they like with recieving affection from others?
Hugging is Takikki’s love language, other than gifting or showing off his shinies. He’s a very touchy sylvari, he’ll hug anyone. He even tried to hug Rytlock when they first met. He loves to hug, let him hug.
Vielcos also hugs almost anyone, but she’ll at least wait until she knows people... Or if she can tell they just need a hug. Or if she needs a hug. Hugging is comfort for her, being held tight and safe in someone’s arms helps calm her down.
Farah does not like hugs. Don’t touch them, please... Unless you’re their family. They’re tense when anyone touches them, they don’t like being touched. Don’t touch.
🌿 What way does your OC show that they care without using words? What way do others show your OC that they’re cared about without using speech?
Takikki will show you his shinies! He’ll walk out with a chest, set it on the table, and just start pulling his shinies out to show you. He has a big collection, he loves to show them to people. But he will slap your hand if you reach to try to take one. No touch! Only look.
Vielcos is a very snuggly sylvari. She loves hugs and cuddles and touch. If nothing else, she’ll hold your hand. She’s a strong advocate for humans to accept the platonic cuddle.
Farah will be visibly less tense around someone they like. They’ll sometimes reach out to take their arm, a silent show of trusting the person to guide them.
🥀 How would your OC decorate a notebook or journal? What kind of things are written in there? Could you give an example of a nice entry?
Takikki isn’t good at writing things down, but his notebook has shiny things crudely glued to the cover, and a few shiny beads from Koowan on a ribbon. He often forgets to write things down, but when he does, the entries are either direct to the point or rambling with whatever’s on his mind.
Koowan reminded me to write. Yes. Yes, reminded. I forget a lot. I forget, I don’t remember. Writing is... Hard to remember to do. I have information in head, why need to write down? But it makes Koowan happy. So I write. I write.. I forgot what I was going to write. Found more shinies. Very happy. Good shinies. Can’t wait to show Scratch. Am done writing. Bye bye.
Vielcos’ journal is decorated with tiny etchings and metal filigree she’s made. She tends to only write down rambling love about her beloved(s), as anything about the Pact or her personal life would be dangerous if anyone got their hands on it... But when she was younger, she wrote a lot more about herself.
The warden is gone... He left to join the Court, he won’t hurt me anymore. Bran says that’s a good thing, but in the Court he can hurt more people. I don’t want others to get hurt like this. (there’s a change in ink, as if this next section was written later) Malomedies wants to take me to read the stars tonight. He says it will help me calm down, and keep my mind off things. I hope it does. I want to stop hurting.
Farah is blind, they have no notebook and cannot write.
🌼 Who are this characters friends and found family? How did they meet, how long have they been friends for, could they ever be something more than just friends? What do they look for in a friend or a romantic partner?
Other than the members of his Scratch, Takikki’s “found” family is Koowan. They’re actually from the same tree, but they don’t quite realize that yet. They’ve known each other since a week after they woke, when both their families- Skritt and Quaggan- brought them to meet the other civilization they traded and worked with. They’ve been close since. Takikki also has a few friends in Koowan’s pod, but since he really lets Koowan do the talking when they meet strangers, it’s hard for him to make friends himself. He’s not looking for a romantic partner, but if he was, they’d have to be smart and love shinies as much as him.
Firstborn Malomedies and his beloved are part of Vielcos’ found family, along with Kahedins and Aengus, and Cor and Mikhail. She has a very large family, almost all of them she met as a sapling in lessons. She has many friends, it’s very easy to make friends with her and hard not to like her. As for romantic partner, she wants someone to support and love her... She’s really not that hard to please with love.
Farah was adopted young by Vielcos and Sayeh, and every quaggan hatchling their mothers adopted became part of their family. The Soggorsort quaggans are really some of their closest friends, and they don’t have many of their own species... Actually, if you don’t count Sayeh, they have no friends of their own species.

researching largos/arabic names and discovered that i may need to rename farah.
they'd stay "Farah al-" but it looks like whatever rajihd means is descriptive of Sayeh herself. I haven't found a meaning for it, and given how I understand these names work, it would not be inherited by her children.
Further, with my research, the al would mean "the" so if rajihd means something like "skilled hunter" in the largos language, her name would be Sayeh the skilled hunter.
so far i'm thinking either giving them a "sylvari" name there, including such as:
- Berach, sharp
- Colum, dove
- Dara, son of oak
- Lorcan, little fierce one
or a "largos" name, including
- Rieaya, caring
- Marakaza, focused
- Aemaa, sightless (possibly a name used for them by other largos)
i'll need to decide which sounds best... if you guys want to help me pick feel free to send which one you like best

10, 20 and 23 for whoever you'd like! -🍃
:D thancc! i will answer for... Farah and Cicero
What kind of jokes make them laugh?
Farah's sense of humor is shot. They laugh at pretty much anything. They have a lot of really stupid inside jokes with their siblings. Sometimes they laugh at someone else's expense. They don't usually feel bad about that.
Cicero loves jokes with someone else as the butt. Or even himself! As long as it's in good jest, he loves it!
Does your character have a comfort item?
Farah's blindfold. When they first expressed their abilities, their aunt made it for them. They don't actually need it, being blind, but something about feeling that soft, velvet fabric over their eyes reminds them that, no matter what, they have people in their corner. ... It also works in case they meet other largos to not be judged for blindness.
He'd never admit it to anyone outside of the warband, and if anything happened to it he'd cry, but he has a stuffed dog. It's from a while ago, he got it for himself while the 'band was on an assignment. He got it around the time he started realizing who he was, and just finds it really comforting to cling to it at night. It's actually pretty big, almost the size of his torso.
What is your character's favourite food and who cooks it best?
Charred fish cooked over a hot fire with crab, cooked by Sayeh. She doesn't make it often, but every Wintersday they have it and it's Farah's absolute favorite. They ask for it every time they return from a long trip. Sayeh is happy to make it every time.
There's this really out-of-the-way bar in the Citadel that makes the absolute best lamb and pork sausage. They package it so you can take it with you on the go, and he loves it raw, but when you cook it just enough to be warm in the center, it's to die for. They make others too, but that one is his favorite. He loves sharing it with the warband.
