Ngl as much as I hate what the franchise has become, I’m actually kinda excited for the FNAF movie.

Like I doubt I’ll go and watch it (don’t really like theaters + I don’t wanna give Scott my money) but… I love the original concept so much.

#it’s gonna be a horrible movie I know that. but maybe they’ll stick with the core concept of the first game or two? instead of whatever is #- going on with the ‘extended universe’ kinda thing the franchise has going on? idk. i wanna see animatronics. #I spent a while yesterday watching some of those fanmade ‘FNAF VHS’ videos (very spooky) and I wish that’s more of what it could have been. #not to say that FNAF being ‘for kids’ is what ruined it cause kids deserve some spooks too but it’s just so… limiting. and excecuted poorly #all this to say I may make another ‘animatronic’ OC soon that’s more styled after FNAF since I looked at the tag and it’s 95% those Sun and #- Moon guys and that’s… hmm. Happy that Security Breach is getting some love tho.

goncharov is fascinating to dissect as a communications student.

to truly understand how goncharov came to be you have to look at tumblr as its own ecosystem first and how it deals with memes, inside jokes, and how it views media in general. then you get to the user bases social spheres and how they're divided and how they overlap. if you want to be thorough you could also add in a brief history on fandom (specifically western english speaking fandom) and introduce specific tumblr fandom just to really set goncharov up. this might include supernatural, superwholock, dracula daily, and how fandom Can be incredibly divorced from the source material.

and then discuss the history of goncharov via shoe, and its spread two years later through thorough research of what the first popular posts on it were to the subsequent adoption of goncharov as a real film due to the original posts popularity and the fact that a lot of people already know about the joke and explanation behind the shoe. this leads to fanmade posters, in-depth analyses and escalates to widely agreed upon character casts, original osts, fake vhs tapes and many users agreeing that it's real because everyone wants to be part of the joke.

there should also be explanations that this may not be entirely comfortable for the entire population of tumblr because it may be hard to differentiate fact from fiction when a frightening amount of people claims it to be real when it actually isn't.

this event also coincidences with the apparent mass exodus of twitter users to tumblr since it's seen as a good alternative due to the former site and app appearing to be highly unstable at the moment due to new management. tumblr was seen as a "dead" social media site by the vast majority of users before but with the rise of goncharov and with twitter users using both sites now, tumblr gains traction as a somewhat puzzling yet captivating social media site. tumblr management uses the rise of goncharov as a marketing strategy fkr their own site since tumblr's well defining characteristic is that it is a site with inside jokes that only tumblr users may only understand.

at this point i'm not entirely sure what this paper would really focus on but i know there's something in that that could be used to make the most insane paper my 50 year old professor would read in a while

me when some people who complain about the fnaf movie are blinded by non canon generic horror fanmade VHS tapes and actual canon fnaf doesnt put a scary 100% noise picture over a black background with a scary noise

One of my biggest intrusive thoughts is knowing that Batman: Arkham Knight was released between the releases of FnaF 3 and FnaF 4. It’s just, for some reason, Jason’s torture at the Joker’s hand just sounds like something you would see in a FnaF-esque game.

Here are the dates for those who are wondering:

And given the amount of fanmade VHS tapes I’ve been scared and brought to tears by, I’ve had too many nightmares that a few creative but sadistic souls might take a look at Jason’s backstory in the Arkham Series or the Arkham Games as a whole and said, “Yeah, let’s spice things up…”

Now, I know it’s not a story about animatronic homicide and soul metal… but plenty of people have strayed from the Fnaf franchise for different stories and characters (granted, they still feature animatronics but I digress…).

But if I’m being honest, as much as I would love a VHS horror-esque series based on Jason Todd’s backstory in the Arkhamverse or the Arkham Series in general (let’s be honest, the Arkhamverse gets very intense at times), I don’t think I could ever watch it. I mean, the Walten Files, the Battington Tapes and Squimpus Tapes practically broke me… so I think an Arkhamverse VHS tapes will sent me to hell, back, then for a second trip and then thrice more…

I think you can guess why…

So, yeah, this is just a shitpost, not meant to be taken seriously… unless you want to…
