I don’t think I ever mentioned how salty I was that they added another single stage normal/flying type parrot Pokémon in Paldea when they had the chance to give chatot evolutions in both Legends: Arceus and Scarlet/Violet - so I made my own. (I couldn’t think of a proper regional variant name so I just made my own)

Teryan Chatot: It flies around in vibrant wheels through the sky singing gleeful notes wherever it goes. Teryan Chatot tries to sing harmoniously with other bird Pokémon in a glorious duet, and are able to form unique duets with Swablu, Fletchling, and its Sinnonan counterpart. Its cheery and somewhat naive nature, however, leaves it rather confused when larger Pokémon grow irritated and chase it away. The notes on its ear patches resemble a pair of headphones, which have become a popular style.

Hyasynth: Hyasynth’s treble clef-like crest hangs down below its beak like a stage microphone, and it likes to sing dramatically into it despite the fact that it does nothing to amplify its voice. The notes it sings appear on its tail in small black dots. While it sings around smaller bird Pokémon as well, it moves onto larger singers such as Altaria, being very vain and attention seeking, liking to be the idol around anything it deems a ‘lesser’ notch to its own ability. It remembers those who have wronged it in the past, and mimics them sarcastically (and very loudly) whenever it gets a chance.

Macawdion: A mellow and positive Pokémon, it often spends time around street performers, and adores bright colours. It’s neck extends and contracts to change the pitch of its vocal cords, or reach things far away. It prides itself on the brightness of its feathers, and puts on regular performances to anything that will listen. Other birds around it tend to copy its songs, and Macawdion’s intelligence and mimicry skills are so advanced that they can engage in basic conversation to their trainers.

The people of the Nostos region believe that the Clefairy that arrived in this region changed over time in an attempt to become closer to the moon. They are festive Pokémon and seen as connections to the world of spirits.

Clefebrije, the Alebrije Pokémon (Fairy/Ghost-type)

Nostosian Clefairy’s almost spiritual connection to the moon has allowed them to evolve into a new form that gains the Ghost-typing. These Pokémon are extremely loving and caring and will do their best to guide and protect their trainers and loved ones. It is believed that Clefebrije are also spirit guides and help the deceased through their journey in the world of spirits.
