I've been thinking about why FCG's death affected me so much to the point of still thinking about it days later, when that didn't happen with Laudna, who's my second favorite character.

And i realized it's because with Laudna, we had the aftermath immediately after her death.

True, Otohan "killed" her in ep 33, but she didn't die permanently until ep 34, and we had the entire episode to grieve with the characters.

With FCG, he permanently died at the end of the ep, and we didn't have to time to actually grieve with the other characters, hence not properly grieveing ourselves.

I think we need the catharisis of next ep to start letting go. We're still in a post death limbo.

I am so ready for Bells hells to reunite.

I need Fearne to give Orym the biggest, warmest hug of his life, I need Ashton to be so confused but very proud of FCG finding a partner. I need Laudna and Imogen to fuss over each other like they've not seen each other for a year. I need Chetney to just be Chetney for everyone with his unhinged but strangely wise takes on everything. I just need everyone to have their emotional support network back.

I know it probably won't be THAT simple, but for now I can pretend.
