#its not gonna get any better #apparently someone was selling ai art at anime expo chibi #and anime los angeles is using ai art in their promotion #what a horrible time to be an artist online #what fucks me up about ai art is that so many people talk about how useful it will be for people who cant afford to commission #and in a perfect world its like sure thats fine #but under capitalism its fucked #were all told in some capacity that we have to work to survive #so we artists spend time working to generate income from our craft #and ai comes in like lol figure something else out loser were running the scene now #so now the artist can no longer be an artist and has to work at mcdonalds or something #and even then ai automation is coming for so many jobs so who knows how long that route will last #my point is that the system cant do two things at once #you cant demand everyone on earth to do something and then dream of ai doing everything

#i dont care how many people were complaining about stuff about the miku expos this year #i was here for miku concert!!!!!!!! with one of my besties!!!!!!!!!!! and i had a great time!!!!!!!!! #i got a glowstick during the online orders and holy shit waving it the entire concert has left my arms so sore #w1f1 ramblings

Woke up at 8:30 a.m on a saturday for some unknowable bio-clock reason. Instead of doing anything remotely productive with this unexpected wealth of weekend free time though (e.g getting up, having a drink of water, getting dressed etc., high standards of productivity here lol), I have spent the past FOUR hours in bed getting very invested in and gradually losing steam about the idea of attempting to cosplay Kasane Teto from the delightful chaotic sensory hell hidden-detail-riddled PV by Channel for 32ki's banger new sensation song "Mesmerizer" ft Miku and Teto.

I have never cosplayed, can't sew, have very little experience with makeup of any kind... but brain latched onto the fact that the outfit itself wouldn't be too difficult to assemble : all able to be bought off-the-shelf, I thought. The yellow gloves and retail-worker cap would be the hardest to obtain, but surely someplace or other would have stuff in friendly sizes!

I was about two hours deep into an online window-shopping session, even making plans to Get Up And Go Out To Buy Some Clothes IRL On A Weekend WTF (height of unfun eMe activities), when reality finally slapped me upside the head with the realisation that a Kasane Teto cosplay is basically Nothing without a good wig. Which i of course do not know how to make. 🫠💥

...So now I've just been rewatching Sarah Spaceman's wig-based videos (starting with the Teto SynthV one of course) and looking up material availability / equivalences here in Baguetteland (oh the irony), and realising that perhaps a drill hairstyle is Absolutely Not What You Should Be Doing As Your First Wig when you only first attempted to trim your own hair yourself two-ish months ago with Very middling success... 💥💥💥

Anyway (the irony continues) THAT'S why i forgot to take my ADHD meds this morning!

#i might still give the wig a shot who knows. or look up some technique for styling those cheap Teto wigs you find online #that are basically just bright red ringlet-y short pigtails #there's plenty of time until miku expo if that's the deadline i'm working with. i think #and speaking of deadlines and still being able to do things... i COULD still take my meds #normally i should take them before noon so they don't mess w my sleep too much. but i'll be up late anyway to watch mcc so ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠ #ANYWAY. time to ''start'' ''the day'' or whatever. meds and clothes and food eventually #eMerambles #eMe_irl #not tagging this w any tags ppl might search but if it ends up in a tag anyway uuh i'm sorry :')
