I hate that I like alternative fashion(not just the colloquial use of the word, as in anything alternative from mainstream), because I want to wear ALL of them.

Currently my two main styles are my everyday(pretty normie) gay ™ button downs/patterned shirts and my vintage/history inspired clothing(I don’t have as much as I’d like but when I had longer hair, a wet set and red lip went a long way).

But I also DO like alt™ fashion. I know all the cultures are different but I think goth and a little bit of punk are the ones that interest me the most! I just love the alt look of it on other people and I want to see if I like on myself! I just feel like I really don’t know where to begin for the goth stuff. Also yes ,I know the culture is more than the clothing and I’m also interested in those parts too, this post is just focusing on fashion.

I’m also interested in Lolita fashion! I don’t think it’s something I’d do for everyday fashion, but I always keep coming back to it, so I’d love to try it out! Mostly what attracts me to the style is that I already like historical fashion, but I don’t know if there’s a particular sub style I’m interested in. I like when other people do Sweet but doesn’t feel like my vibe. I could maybe see myself doing goth Lolita or more classic/traditional Lolita. Though really, in my mind there’s only one coord idea that I want to do, but it doesn’t really fall neatly into any of the mainstream Lolita styles(I guess pirate would be the closest? there are some JSKs I’ve looked at that could fit my idea).

I also really want to get more into medieval/renaissance fair fashion or more piratey/vampire/vaguely 17th century fashion. I have my vintage style that I want to expand but I do want to play around with more time periods and different ways of modernizing them!

I actually really like my current styles but there’s so much I want to try.

In conclusion I WANT TO UNLOCK ALL THE FASHIONS!!!!!

i'm very happy with how this coord turned out! i got this bolero specifically to go with this skirt and i think it worked out great! the blouse with the bolero was an experimental choice, but i was super glad for the detachable sleeves in the end because it was wayyy warmer than the forecast originally said

These changes last as long as he desires as well as under his own set conditions at the cost of requiring outside materials to complete. Typically the magic is contained in what appears to be a type of spice or powder, and the change leaves a mark/tattoo on the individual which the magic is cast to indicate what exactly was changed.

Author's Notes: ARGHHH MY BOY... Ezra is a very new character I made only a few months ago. He was created specifically for TCOAV, but alas I have grown attached. Given we already have quite a few gaslight gatekeep girlboss type characters over here, I decided to focus more on twisting different aspects of Mother Gothel. I particularly focused on her parental tendencies as well as her means of "caring" for Rapunzel. Whereas whether Gothel truly cares for Rapunzel or not is still up in the air, and they truly had a toxic relationship nonetheless, I wanted to make Ezra a more misguided but good individual.

im very confused how this all ties together like okay

- cucurucho asks jaiden what she wants. she says egg safety

- cucurucho sends jaiden off to do tasks

- code attacks start being strange and non hostile

- qcellbit tries to kill himself a weird green screen appears and after gets a book from an unknown source saying it was an interesting performance

- later gets another book saying to follow jaiden and collect evidence

- jaiden does the nine floor dungeon with others which seems to be an abandoned federation building that has a red timer. also 8 ice chambers?

- the evidence cellbit finds involves logs of this federation area and general talk about perfection and experimentation

- cucurucho tells jaiden she did a good job & that shes one step closer

- the egg quests are in binary code

- timer runs out they return to the dungeon SEE THE GREEN SCREEN AGAIN and later after clearing the dungeon find the code entity in the timer room

- the entity writes a book with coords to redstone puzzle rooms

- the teams do the redstone puzzle and hear a train sound

- the train they arrived on is leaving and goes through the nether portal

- the portal works for the first time and reveals the train tracks end on the other side and then closes the nether once more

- poster gets tweeted out about Something coming soon

so why exactly did cucurucho want the timer activated ? the code was in the room and told them to do the puzzles that led to the train so assuming they’re opposing parties that wasn’t something cucurucho wanted ? what more steps is jaiden going to have to do ? what is the point with the cellbit part ? what is up with the green screen ?

I remember that before the first dive into the maze Tubbo was given a book that had a code that ended up being the time for the first maze event but for the life of me I cannot recall if Fred was the one who gave him that book or if we saw who left it...

Angelic Pretty Fancy Candy

Help me pick a colorway: sax blue or dark pink! I've been wanting to add this to my wardrobe for a while but it doesn't come in my usual wardrobe colors so I'm struggling to pick which color to get.

Blue: Would be easier to coordinate but I don't like pastels as much and I feel like the print looks a little one note. This is the safer option and would go with more of my existing wardrobe. I have a lot that matches this already.

Pink: This would be really fun to coordinate but more of a challenge. I have a lot more blue in my wardrobe than I do pink but I love this highly saturated dark pink. I think I would do a lot of really experimental coords with this.

...okay. I'm still trying to get my thoughts together so this might be a bit rambly, but bear with me.

The more I look at the black shulker investigations that Cellbit did around the time of the election dinner, the more I believe the Federation intercepted him rather than manipulated him.

The information that was discovered through the mission was a lot of stuff that was super private to the Federation: he found evidence that the Federation knew about the Code Sword prior to Etoiles even knowing it existed, he saw mention of the Federation doing experimentation and tests long before Baghera or even Jaiden's plotlines came to light, he found Project A0 weeks before we heard about Egg A1. (And none of this is me bashing on other plotlines; don't twist my words.) [The ultimate culmination of the investigation was the Code Sword, so it seems as though there may be a tie there—which, if the Codes are currently using the black concrete, would make sense.]

When he got to the final coordinates that the shulkers led him to, however, there was another book inside that shulker with more coords. This struck me as weird at the time, and still bothers me—because the final book had told him to leave the evidence at the coordinates; so why say that only to give him more coordinates?

But the final shulker was out in the open: it would be fairly easy to find and drop a book inside. If you knew what you were looking for.

Switching gears a bit—if I'm not wrong, all of Bagi's childhood lore fragments have also come in black shulkers, not chests or white shulkers. All of her information has been stuff I'm absolutely certain the Federation would not want her to know about or remember, especially if/considering they had something to do with it all.

If the Federation is order, control, and perfection—white—then this new...thing is chaos, luck, and confusion—black.

I think those black shulker investigations were just an exceptionally early introduction to whatever the third player in this island's chess game is. One of the books Cellbit received then said that they "share[d] a common enemy," and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. If it was from the Codes, would that be referencing the Federation? If it was truly the Federation tricking him the whole time, would it mean the Codes? Why would they say that; acknowledge the Codes in private like that? Either way doesn't really seem to fully click into place. Not to mention he was investigating both parties at the same time: the Code Sword and the Federation's tests/experiments.

This...black shulker association(? ksjdfg) doesn't seem fully aligned with either the Federation nor the Codes: I think they're a "neutral" third party. They might be working together with the Codes at the moment, what with the Codes helping the eggs to communicate(??? still not positive that's what's happening) but I don't think they're the same entity.

The black organization seems to simply be committed to giving out information the Federation doesn't want people to know.

To add another piece to this puzzle, look at Hombre Misterioso and ¿?. (Which I consider two different people—one being the mysterious figure that was torturing (/lh) Cellbit, one being the man that gave Maxo the plans for SOFIA.) If we consider that both of them are also a part of this black concrete association(? skfjg), then they are also doing things that don't quite benefit the Federation or the Codes. The ¿? man seemed wary of the Federation (he told Maxo to "be careful, the Federation may be watching") and just had these masterplans for a giant supercomputer on hand, for whatever reason. Hombre Misterioso seemed to have his own still unknown reasons for torturing Cellbit, but he didn't seem fully aligned with either side either.

Neither of these people really...strengthened the fight for or against the Federation at all; all they did was give us more questions. More confusion. More information. More chaos.

Anyway headcanon (theory??) that Elena has Roier captive (possibly at those coords??) and she’s doing like some unethical experimentation shit to him—hence how he mentions in his messages that they keep “drugging” him—to try to make a New and Improved version of the happy pills, which she made. She mentioned how the Islanders were all happier once the eggs returned, but of all of them, Roier is the odd one out. He (as far as I’m aware) has had the most negative response to having custody/responsibility for an egg whereas everyone else has been fawning over the new/returned eggs. So, now she wants to know why, and she wants to find a way to fix it—to ensure the long-term happiness of the islanders, of course! In her inner monologue, she even mentioned (admitted!!) that the experiments she does under the Feds are unethical, so she clearly doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty in the name of science.

experimental coord time!!! i really like this one a lot it was solidly comfy and VERY fun. my roommate and i had a blast being (very quiet) goofs in the alley behind our house that night

i also took this picture of my hands, which like, yeah, is very much a lolita classic but this was probably like two months post the surgery i had on my hands that summer, so my scars were very fresh and visible, and i really wanted to memorialize them as only a weirdo lolita can. you can peep them between my first two knuckles on either hand 👀

for fun yesterday I did a lot of experimenting with coords and tags to see what gives the best score. starting with the conclusion abstract:

the Brilliant Prince cyalume is equally effective as the usual green Twinkle Ribbon SCR for grinding.

BUT if you're creating a promise, you're very slightly better off with the TR SCR because it's more likely to get filled, as not everyone has the BP CR. (this was not something I tested for, but something I inadvertently found out in the course of experimenting.)

various disclaimers: I'm 100% sure all of this is on twitter already, but I don't use and thus can't see anything on there. mega thanks to Idollandhero Hayami for being my only source for what's going on over there and making me realize that this was even something to check out, and for Luna's post pointing out the BP cyalume was a viable green coord alternative. I shan't tag you bc I don't want to even accidentally make someone read this post.

also, don't pay attention to the reward amounts when I joined others' promises, bc at those times I was focusing solely on coord bonuses and not the rhythm game. the score bonuses are the same amount whether creating or joining a promise, but joining takes less time. a lower score just means I was playing OPEN DREAM LAND according to the beat map in my head rather than the mistaken one in the game lol

your score is composed of:

base score. what you get from the rhythm game

rank bonus. silver rank is +1000 iine (bronze +500?)

heart bonus. max is rainbow x3 +3000 iine (rainbow +1000, gold +800, silver +500)

assigned coord bonus. premium pripara rare is +10000 iine (idk what others are)

hashtag bonuses. 5 gold tags gives you, in order, +1500, +150, +300, +450, and +600 iine. 4 gold tags removes the final +600 and +1 silver tag is only +500, so 5 gold tags is best (i.e. 5 gold = 3000 vs 4 gold + 1 silver = 2900)

I always use the green TR SCR without paying attention to the numbers, so I wanted to verify if/how worn coords affect your bonuses, and if wearing all parts of a coord or having the same tag multiple times (like the BP CR) do. these are things that were true in the arcade game, so maybe they matter here too? ...is what I wondered.

experimental procedure 🧪

the TR SCR has 2 gold tags, with no gold tag on the shoes. but changing them to the BP CR ones, adding a 3rd gold tag, gives the same 5 gold tag bonus as above, in the same order. (tags in the coord being worn are marked with a ⭐︎.)

this is true no matter what order the tags themselves are in. above the unworn #今日もあまってまーす (from the Dressy Ruby coord) gave 1500, below the worn #gold did.

wearing the full TR SCR gave the exact same bonuses as well, despite having only two gold tags on the coord:

finally, wearing the full BP CR (worn gold tags are #cyalume coord x3 and #prince for a total of 4) was... exactly the same!

and in all of these, the assigned coord bonus was the same +10000 too.

last was to confirm that they give equal rewards when creating a promise. I did Chaotic Hurricane for both of these, and both have a perfect score, so all rainbow hearts, all x3 on appeals and making drama, and full cyalume change bonus.

the same! this is also the same as the max score with the green SCR before the Dark Nightmare tag was removed, btw.

conclusion 🔬

the coord you wear does not affect the tag bonuses at all. they are entirely determined by the tags you own. wearing or owning more items with the same tag also doesn't matter. basically, as long as you do a promise with 5 gold tags you own, you get the maximum tag bonus.

the coord you wear is only relevant to the assigned coord bonus, which is the same for the BP CR and the green coord. I guess there are paid or gacha coords that give that bonus too, but the rarer a coord is, the less likely you are to fill a promise with it as the assigned coord. it's best to create a promise with easily-available coords and tags.

future research 👁️

I do have an unsolved mystery. both of the above had a base score of 14175,

but the first time I tried creating a promise I got a base score of 14170, despite having what I thought was a perfect score. all the bonuses were the same, and the rewards were only 1 iine and 1 i$ less

so in terms of grinding, it super does not matter. but it does matter when my goal is trying to figure out score mechanics. now I probably just got a x2 on the appeals or making drama without noticing, but I was watching pretty hard. and I'm pretty sure a miss there knocks off more than 5 points? I had photo evidence of getting all rainbow hearts and I got a full cyalume bonus as always, so...???

the other option is that... your team's coords matter?? this seems incorrect, but the only difference in that first promise was that one idol had different shoes and accessory. all the ones I did after (not just the 2 pictured) had 5/6 or 6/6 coord items assembled, so it's literally the only difference I could think of?? I really genuinely think I just missed a note though. the way to check this would be to screen-record lives, miss notes in a variety of ways, and see how that affects the score, but... even I have my limits.

also: songs. I'm interested to see definitively what song is best, but I'm putting this off until OPEN DREAM LAND's untenable beat map is fixed. it is definitely a better choice than Chaotic Hurricane, which I always use, but I'm afraid of accidentally memorizing the wrong rhythm. and personally I would do anything to avoid hearing Cool Star, so idk if it's better than Chaotic Hurricane or not. I think a couple paid songs are better also, but it's so difficult to fill those promises that it's best not to rank up with them.

last, I wonder about the red+black VIP coords because they seem like idol land's version of Mystery Rares (which were v high-scoring), but... I don't have one. and even if it was significantly higher, it would be impossible to fill that promise, so it couldn't possibly matter.

Restaurant de la Lumière des Étoiles

Do you recall my adventure to find the Medusozoa Restaurant? If you do, you may recall me saying I had to travel to the empty outer reaches of the 'Verse, to places as yet unexplored by any member of the Protectorate.

While I was there, we picked up a strange transmission. It seemed to be a distress beacon, but like nothing SAIL had heard before. We followed it to find a strange, pyramidal, black and green ship. On making my way over, I found a species of robot calling themselves 'Trink'. Their hyperdrive had failed and they were dead in the water. My crew fixed them up as best we could, and in thanks they gave me teleport coords to something called the Elithian Alliance.

Well. It just goes to show that the 'Verse is a wide and dynamic place, filed with as-yet unknown wonders.

And some of these wonders are new and delectable dishes. I've brought back several seed samples, from the Aegi, Avikan and a moth-like race, the Lepidia, discovered on an autumnal planet.

Sparkfoot, ship's chef, and Ironquill, the experimental chef from Altais Colony Lvl4, were eager to dive in and start working with these new ingredients and producing all sorts of new delights.

The new dishes are to be served in a special restaurant built for purpose, so that patrons might look out in wonder at the stars and consider the source of their meals as they eat.

Built for the monthly prompt "Acquisition", the spring prompts "Friends & Tenants" and "Stars".

hello!! 15: do you have an unpopular opinion about the fashion?

i think that if we didn't have general guidelines for what coords should look like, then the fashion wouldn't exist as it does today. if everyone changed too many aspects of it to our liking, well we wouldn't so much have a fashion to go by or a community. it'd be a lot different! this isn't to be confused with bending the rules for convenience or experimentation. i think those are both good things and they allow us to push forward with new ideas. but i think some people are too insistent on calling things that aren't lolita egl. an outfit can be really cute but not necessarily read as a lolita coord if it doesn't have enough elements or the proper silhouette, and there's nothing wrong with that.. it can still be a great outfit, just in a different style. basically i just think having distinguishable characteristics and elements help preserve what the fashion is. a lot of people get upset at that idea or call that gatekeeping though, so i think i might be in the minority for that..
