qPhilza perching on people because bird

qFit: Mans is built like a brick shithouse—he can totally balance Phil’s additional weight. The first attempt is a bit shaky, sure, but nowadays Phil swoops down or hops up onto Fit’s shoulder and all Fit really has to do is jut out his elbow to give his friend a little more space for his talons to work with. Bam, he’s perched. Works out about 9.9 times out of 10, though Phil delights in trying to catch him off guard.

qEtoiles: He doesn’t have Fit’s bulk on his side, so he’s not as sturdy, but he is strong. The landing is usually a little rough since Etoiles has to work a bit harder to counterbalance the additional weight, but he always finds that center of gravity in no time flat. Phil usually perches with one talon on each of Etoiles’ shoulders since he’s not as w i d e, just so Phil can have a little extra grip. At some point, Etoiles tries fighting a mob while Phil is perched on him, and that goes exactly as well as you would expect.

qForever: Honestly, with all of the hard labor Forever does for his big builds, Phil was expecting him to do better, but the first (several) attempts end up with Forever stumbling over and knocking Phil off of him from his wild arm-pinwheeling. They eventually figure out it’s more doable if Forever himself has something to lean on (a wall, a chair, the butt of his pickaxe) and Phil puts one talon evenly spaced on each shoulder. Phil learns some new swears in Portuguese in the process.

qMissa: Flattened. Full-on face in the floor, mouth full of grass, wind knocked out of his lungs at Mach 5 the first time Phil tries. Phil apologizes profusely, but Missa—once he can breathe again—just rolls over onto his back and asks Phil if they can give it another try. It takes a long, LONG time, but they figure out that if Phil plants his talons on Missa’s shoulder pads and leans forward while Missa leans back, they have a small little window of time where they achieve balance. The best part? Phil gets a perfect view of Missa’s goofy little grin every single time.

the thing for aeres is that her autonomy is so important to her, besides her faith and the people she loves. so the more the emperor pushes for her to accept the tadpole. the more he insists she will be more efficient, deadly and beautiful the more illithid she becomes. later on when he claims he will make her take it by force. shes filled with so much resentment that it makes her feel sick, to have to be allied with a person like the emperor. so i just think its neat that she uses her divine intervention to kill him. her faith made manifest, something that is such a core aspect of her that she would risk losing should she become illithid and lose her soul in the process. well not today motherfucker

I kinda want to share some hc I have for amane and tsukasa when they were alive because their past makes me cry a waterfall

(these aren’t ship hc I hate the fact that people even thought of them dating, they are twins stop thinking gross, and don’t say “tsukasa abused amane” no he didn’t) these are also mainly amane because he’s my comfort character

. Amane is autistic and his special interest is space, he rants on about it to tsukasa until he runs out of breath (I do this to my brother about my special interest which is TBHK)

. Tsukasa chases Amane with dead creatures and finds it hilarious

. People who weren’t their parents wouldn’t be able to tell them apart immediately until Tsukasa starts being Tsukasa

. Amane feels embarrassed to cry around tsukasa especially after he started getting bullied so he’d sob to himself at night while tsukasa was sleeping

. Tsukasa was actually quite popular in middle school and tried to get amane to join his group but amane isn’t good at socializing

. After the festival amane wouldn’t stop talking about yashiro to tsukasa, they would even try to find her but gave up

. Amane would try and draw yashiro from memory to help tsukasa with finding her

. Then after amane saw her in the tea party arc, he ran to get tsukasa to prove she was real but obviously she was gone by then and amane sobbed that night

. I feel like their mum was scared of tsukasa for a while, amane didn’t understand so he would just hug tsukasa not knowing what to do (this was like after what we saw in chapter 79)

. Amane banned tsukasa from going to the cinema because he’d just cause chaos (inspired by one of the extra panels in volume 9)

. Amane would fall asleep when doing homework and would get told off for not finishing it

. They would fight for no reason like cuphead and mugman do in the cuphead show

. Amane was like the mugman of the two and tsukasa was like the cuphead

everyone who complains about the live action and new gen dolls being ugly or lame are fake fans actually. OG monster high dolls are cool Conceptually but functionally kinda ugly and man do they fall apart easy. The reason I never played with mine is cuz they Were Not durable.

Also the fashion?? The styles are outdated and often clash kinda nonsensically in a way thats silly and camp and i generally appreciate but still!! Not incredibly fashionable irl. And a LOT of the character designs overlap making some character indistinguishable from others. Not to mention the fact that there is only One Body Type available.

So like literally none of the aesthetic updates or changes have been in directions that made them worse. Theyre just different (certainly cheaper in the case of that last reboot, the loss of articulation was sad), but like?? The liveaction is cute! and it seems really on par for the kind of stuff you’d see for a tv movie, and the one cleo doll leak looks Great????? I miss her bangs, but like... its not THAT big of a deal. Im really excited to see this new spin on the characters! also maybe consider they arent for you anymore, youve aged out of the demographic

Philza Minecraft is a survivalist. 

Everyone knows this. He's the "Hardcore guy." He's an expert in the inner-workings of the natural world. He's vigilant. He knows how to hold his own in a fight, and he knows when to cut his losses, too. He knows how to keep himself alive. By extension, he knows how to keep his team alive as well. It only makes sense that they elect him as the leader of red team.

Philza Minecraft is a team player.

This is why he's always happy to go grinding for materials when the team needs it. Even if he tends to get a little distracted sometimes, wandering too far, forgetting to check global chat or talk in the team vc, he checks in with his friends and does what he can to keep morale up when everyone is feeling down. He recognizes the ease with which Cellbit operates in this environment, so he lets the man call some of the shots, or give Phil instructions. After all, Cellbit led the Ordo for months. Phil trusts his judgement. Why not play to their strengths? 

Philza Minecraft is an adapter. 

His biome doesn’t matter, nor his circumstances, nor his equipment. He’s started over more times than he can count. Working under stress isn’t something that hinders him, nor changing environments. If the game of the day is complete the tasks, he can complete the tasks. If the game of the day is kill a player, he can kill a player. He might hate it, but he can do it. For the sake of his friends, of his team, of his kids, and of their collective survival, he can do it.

There is something else worth mentioning. 

Philza Minecraft is a liar. 

Oh, but you’ll never catch him in a lie, because it’s never what he does say. It’s what he doesn’t. It’s the details he omits. It’s the parts of the tale that he glosses over so that the bedtime story isn’t quite so scary. He’ll give you everything he wants you to have and hold the rest of it close to his chest. Or, more accurately, he'll slam it in a locked box and shove it under his bed with the rest of his monsters. 

He was an asset to the Empire. 

Back then, he always asked the right questions: not "why," but "how," and "when." Back then, he knew he was valuable, so he kept himself alive. Back then, "the Angel of Death" wasn't so much a nickname as it was a title he earned. A rank.

He never became a general. The promotion was there, and he was more than qualified, he just never took it. He was content to let his friend take the helm, because Phil knew what he was.

"Knew." "Was." Was, was, was. (Come on, now, Phil. Don't be daft.)

Philza Minecraft is a liar; the man he lies to the most is himself. Yes, Purgatory is fucked and twisted, and he hates what it forces him to do, but not because it's hard. No. Because it's far too easy.

At the end of the day, what matters most is that Philza Minecraft is an arrow. Let someone else nock him in a bow. Let someone else draw him back, point him in a direction, let him loose, soar, fly. Resources, gear, tasks, points, kills, blood---it makes no difference. Philza Minecraft won't stop until he hits his target.

my struggles with fantasy romance wip, part 123123

as i said before, i used to be a plotter through and through. like, i wrote outlines, planned scenes, mapped character arcs, etc, but it did end up burning me out a bit (plus, real life issues, pandemic, etc) and i didn't write much of anything for a couple years. so my idea with fantasy romance wip was to be super self-indulgent and not plan a single thing. which worked well enough for nano!! i have 3 and half chapters written, i actually liked them well enough, i like the characters, the world, etc.

...but i only have a bunch of plot points in my mind, scenes i'd like to read, and not much about how the ending happens beyond "oh x happens i guess". and thats been holding me back for weeks. which is super annoying bc the goal was to be super free with this story. but i guess my brain just isn't wired this way. but!! ive been thinking and wondering if my problem isnt exactly that i dont know how the story goes as much as i didn't know what i wanted to say with it. mind, im not talking about a life lesson or a philosophical question or whatever, but i do believe most books end up having a core message/theme. and i didnt have fantasy romance wip's core message figured out.

i think i do now, though. ive been thinking a lot about it these past few days and maybe i finally have it. im free from work (thank goodness for carnaval) until next friday so i guess i will trying to write again for this story for the first time in weeks lol wish me luck!!

If I could make animatics, I think Lifeboat from Heathers the Musical would be a good one to make for Limited Life.

Let me explain:

"[And nowhere to go] The tiniest lifeboat, full of people I know" - a reference to the border (the "Lifeboat" is the border, basically).

"The people smell desperate, we'll sink any minute, so someone must go" - I mean, we all saw session 4, they're all getting pretty desperate for time back.

"Everyone's pushing, everyone's fighting, storms are approaching, there's nowhere to hide" - again, their timers are ticking down and everyone is after blood.

"The captain is pointing (well, who made her captain?)" - I would just throw a cheeky little Watcher!Grian reference in here 🤣.

And who would Heather Mac be? Idk, maybe Jimmy or Skizz ("the weakest must go") as so far this season, Skizz's performance has been kinda poor, but Jim is our little canary man and has done poorly in general across all four seasons 🤣.

Someone with the technology, do you see my vision? I mean, I could storyboard it, but I wouldn't be able to animate it. Maybe I should just stop listening to show tunes while I'm drawing.
