have i played clangen? ME? i may or may not have had it since around when it first came out ...... may or may not currently be playing my longest running clan............. say hello to my leader

who leads the clan by very strictly following the warrior code bordering on ridiculous and everyone just kind of tolerates her and my deputy

who hates sparkstar and is plotting to kill her and pretended to be sick so the clan would take him in but just wanted to take over. he killed his apprentice and blamed it on a rogue who had been terrorizing willowclan for a while. here is said apprentice

i think my favorite event in this save so far was when half of my clan mysteriously disappeared and were found dead and at the same time a kit named "hopekit" was born and it was a very sweet moment and then in the next few moons hopepaw died in another mass death event and it was extremely depressing

I think it’s really interesting to think about how by the time into the wild rolls around in the warrior cats timeline, the clans are in a really dark age in their history. Despite the clans being founded on the principles that they are all supposed to ultimately stand united, divisions are greater in the clans than ever. SkyClan has been driven out, ShadowClan is seemingly at war with everyone, especially WindClan, battles across all the surviving clans are regular occurrences, and distrust is so great that if another clan even finds out where an opposing clan’s camp is then it is enough grounds to suggest moving the entire camp.

Over the course of the series in the present day timeline we have slowly seen the clans reunify to resemble a system much closer to that they were founded upon.

Was this intentional? During the Vicky era absolutely not, but since Dawn of the clans I feel that’s what the new team may intentionally be building towards, especially with asc, how the clans are now allowing freer movement between the clans, there is much more emphasis in avoiding battle at any costs, and how Riverstar himself is trying to steer RiverClan back towards the principles he founded it upon.

And maybe that’s what the endgame may be for the new team in this present timeline, or at least the place they want to reach before moving onto something else. Vicky’s era was ultimately Firestar’s story. It was his and his family’s history and legacy. But the new team era seems to be going towards the overreaching story of restoring the clans to the principles they were founded on; unity, camaraderie, and mutual respect.

I could be wrong, next arc Evilstar of ShadowClan could have some serious beef with Nightheart Jr and things could go back to complete war and things ending off like they started in the first arc. But I do feel like this is where they’re going with all this recent political stuff. Even TBC, which was clearly something to help bring older fans back to the books with a heavy emphasis on Vicky-era stuff, still featured the clans ultimately unifying together again and then coming together to set up the ASC politics.

The 5 love to play Super Smash Bro’s together

The 5 live like in their own pocket realms in the dream world but can visit each other by will. 

Matt and Richard love to play Co-Op video games together.

Matt and Richard live with each other in a similar flat that they had in York and make it an everyday ritual to cook dinner together. 

Richard makes sure their cabinets and fridge has food, especially with breakfast  food cus Matt could literally start a minor apocalypse if he doesn't get his morning muffin or bacon and eggs. (Richard really wants to make up for not having food that one time). 

Scarlett and Lohan are a couple. The live together in an expensive condo in a towering high rise. Scarlett is a star athlete. She’s trying to get Lohan to teach her martial arts. 

Lohan stopped being a coward and a dick. 

Lohan is actually really good at cooking. 

Flint(Scott) and Jamie live in a nice and cozy cabin near picturesque mountains, forests, and rivers.

Jamie is trying to learn how to fish with Flint’s guidance. 

Jamie tried to push Flint into river as a prank, They both ended up falling into the river and ended up having a nice swim. They both laughed at the incident for the next few days.

Jamie is trying to teach Flint about memes.

Flint(Scott) is trying to be the best brother ever. 

Pedro is studying medicine. He ended up getting adopted by Giovanni and his family. They all live in a big house in Venice. Pedro was also reunited with his little sister.

Pedro accidentally walked in on Matt and Richard once. 

The 5 always get together every week for a beach party, camping trip, or to just to simply be with each other.

The Equinox Hunt a new stealth horror coming to Linux

The Equinox Hunt is a brand new stealth rogue-lite with port plans to game on Linux with Windows PC. Thanks to recent details from developer EvilStar Studios. Due is due to arrive this month on Steam. Since time immemorial, The Equinox Hunt took place in the depths of the forest. Prey has to go through the night for a chance at freedom. But the forest is also full of lurking hunters. All ready at any moment to engulf their victim in fear and sheer terror. So even if the hunters are brutal. They group themselves into different specialized factions. Although different, they cooperate during the hunt to ensure the toughness of their victims. Likewise, you can see the interest in The Equinox Hunt. It's more of a creepy horror vibe. Which is slated for a Windows PC release. But there are certainly plans for Linux as well.

We want to bring the game on Linux. However, we will release on Linux after the Windows launch because we want to test more.

Therefore, there is no official release for the native build of The Equinox Hunt. But that being said, you can game on Linux with the Demo. Which is playable using Proton and it runs well. Clearly, the port plans will mean far more testing. But if the Demo is any example of what we can expect. This should be fairly quick. Along with Steam, the demo is also available on Itch and GameJolt.

Playing The Equinox Hunt you will have to abide by a few tasks. Seeing you have to hide from the hunters and make your way through the woods. Hopefully you can escape from the forest and reclaim your freedom. If you are fortunate enough, discover the mystery behind the cultists and their ritual.

Features:

True stealth. You're not a hunter, you're the VICTIM.

Multiple enemy factions: Trappers, Prowlers, Marksmen and Cutters, each of them specialized in a unique combat style.

Use the environment to ease your way out.

When your character dies, he's gone forever, yet you still have a chance, since the hunt never stops.

As of now, The Equinox Hunt stealth rogue-lite is due to release on October 22nd. This will only be for Windows PC. With port plans to follow to port the game on Linux. By all means check out the Demo. Also be sure to Wishlist the game on Steam.

fun facts under the cut:

-grian and pearl are siblings that were separated young and ended up in different clans. this can most definitely be exploited for angst in the future, but at the moment they are uncanny friends at gatherings and have no idea how they seem to get along so well

-wren tried to name at least 3 different characters with the prefix chicken

-we settled on grian tried to convince people chickenflight was real (like poultry man) so his warrior name is definitely a reference to that

-joe is a former kittypet and his name is joe

-gem is half clan between the empires/hermit ones but lives with the empires gang

-skizz is a loner that hangs out with impulse a lot and is kinda bonkers but despite the name is very sweet

-lizzie and jimmy used to be loners but she dragged them both to a clan when jimmy got sick as a kit and that's why jimmy survived

-i did end up sending martyn an ask as to what he thought his warrior cat name would be. the verdict is outstanding

-the name smallbeans for joel was immediately vetoed due to sounding like an innuendo 

-starclan has something to do with the watchers and kristin 

-more than once we came up with the same name for someone at the exact same time without any prior communication. telepathy is real

-evil X and xisuma are brothers, xisuma banished him for some reason or other, and yes his warrior name is the exact opposite of x's

-things we have determined could, if you're a devil about the rules, be warrior cat names: cuptoast, mushroom 

-grian is still in his main character arc and basically pulled a firestar a la the clan leader took on his training when he joined as an apprentice

-wren did, at one point, suggest naming foolish mousebrain

-sam and joel fought us every step of the damn way re: their names. idk why they were so hard

-skizz is 14.29% named after his dog 

-schlatt's character arc essentially mirrors sol from the actual series

-we got to the loners after 4 hours and i did suggest evilstar for evil X out of sheer desperation

-before you ask why we didn't break up the different dsmp factions into clans: i'm lazy and we do things how we want

-how the HELL do i tag this

-yeah i did take forever to figure out the actual book formatting. thats why its screenshots and not a full text post youre welcome btw

-most of the apprentices do have warrior names thought up for them
