Really interested in the Charming parents relationship with their kids in terms of Apple and Darling relationship. Because the thing is, while I’ve seen a lot of takes where the Charming parents react negatively or still hold up Daring as the golden child, I’m personally of the opinion that they are far more destiny oriented. If Destiny says Darling is Apple’s prince, then they’ll accept it, even if they’re a bit confused.

The thing is, at least from how I interpreted Darlings book, she never read as the unfavorite the way Dexter did, though I know some people interpret them as treated similarly. She kept all her knightly interests pretty tight lipped and generally acted like they thought she should. Not the Golden Child or the Scapegoat, just a generally positive middle ground.

I also think the kiss reveal really hurts Daring place as the Golden Child of the trio. I think King & Queen Charming would definitely view it as a failure on Daring’s part. That he must have done something wrong or something must be wrong with him to cause him to fail at what should’ve been his destiny. Their favoritism is distinctly based on Daring being the perfect Prince Charming and if he can’t even do the one thing they think he was meant to do, then clearly he isn’t actually that perfect.

And while I don’t think Darling would just become the new Golden Child, I do think they focus most of their attention solely on her now. She’s the one with the ultimate Charming Destiny after all while Daring failed his and Dexter’s is still unknown. Clearly that must mean she’s the best of the kids. How the Beast reveal would go, I’m still debating. On one hand, Daring is still the true love of an important Princess, but the beast very much Does Not fit the values of a Prince Charming.

these are my personal opinions and yes this is all tomfoolery and foolishness.

we have so much angsty material to work with that if we made it gritty/dark in a similar way to how "euphoria" is I think we can do the angst and genuinely traumatizing aspects of eah justice

it NEEDS to be as camp-y as the movies "BOTTOMS" and "Mean Girls"

early 2000s movies always have such nonsense and iconic outfits and fun plotlines we need that energy to come back

don't act like Daring Charming wouldn't say something adjacent to "I'm sorry I looked at Mrs. Riley and lightly grzed her left tit, alright?" unironically

"She's The Man" walked to Darling Charming could run and I think we should keep that train going

I want the absurdity of "Wild Child" and "Jennifer's Body" and "10 Things I Hate About You" going on at all times

the line "Boo cross out Needy" was made for Briar Beauty to say to her friends when they say they aren't going to a party

overall I believe eah was made for those who grew up in the early 2000s watching "Camp Rock" and the "Hannah Montana" movie and "High School Musical" and then in their teen years ended up watching "euphoria" or "Grand Army"

if we truly put our minds to it we could create a y2k/late 90's style eah reboot or (thought difficult) live action where we still have time to dive into the trauma and the characters go through and also be dramatic and have some filler episodes where they get a breka and can be teenagers

thinking about how gorgug + kristen perceive both their own deaths & each other’s, and how that impacts their relationship. bc i feel like freshman year kristen was too caught up in her newfound knowledge of the nature of her own god to truly clock & process gorgug’s internal revulsion of where he went after he died, & freshman year gorgug wasn’t familiar enough with the complexities of other people to truly lock onto the sorrow buried within the chaos of kristen’s upward/downward/sideways spiral until she was seemingly on the other side of it. & i wonder if they’ve ever really talked about it (unlikely), or if they’ve just cracked very few jokes that didn’t land and decided to never quite do the work & dig through that part of their relationship. but there’s a kinship there; kristen specifically singles out gorgug to tell him she died again, and gorgug apologizes that he wasn’t there with her this time. gorgug takes one of the finger bones off kristen’s newly/long-time decayed corpse to have an anchor to something in the world. despite the fact that they were in different places after death, having been together during it means everything.

anyways what i’m trying to say is i think they should talk about it.

honestly I’m fucking tired of calling my reps and begging them to care

I’ve been calling them over and over and over for the past four months begging and pleading them to speak out about what is obviously genocide

I don’t think they listen, most likely their underpaid interns got instructed to throw notes or voicemails out, but even if they do they don’t fucking care. It’s exhausting.

The White House comment line is only open for 4 hours 4 days of the week during hours most people work. If you’re able to call and wait for 20 minutes to finally speak to an intern they take a brief note and you can only hope they don’t immediately throw it out.

I’ve been doing this since I was a child. begging my reps to care about children being shot in school. begging them to care about my own schools getting bomb and gun threats every year. begging them to care about the fact that people don’t feel safe around cops. begging them to care about the growing number of people in my city becoming jobless and homeless and dying of covid. begging them like a dog to care at all about people’s lives and happiness.

I don’t know. I’m just fuckin’ tired

I won’t give up though. It’s not the only form of activism I do or the main one I give my energy to. I hope the same thing for anyone reading this. You shouldn’t just be boycotting and calling your reps, you should be attending vigils and protests and speaking about the issue of genocide to your friends and family

I’m just tired of people pretending like our representatives actually give a fuck what we think over their lobbyists and investors cause it is and has always been clear to me that they don’t. America has never been a democracy and if you think that you are deluded.

Reason: It is such a classic. The aesthetic and characters carried the show. The plot actually really good for a show meant to help sell dolls. Though it came out during a time where fairytale franchises were pretty much booming, it gave me a sense of security with all of its mini episodes. 2000’s - 2010’s animated kids shows like Totally Spies, Bratz, The Winx Club,” and EAH are just so ICONIC!!
